Great app but 5/5
I love the app but I believe it should be discounted for nursing students and nurses.
Great app 5/5
We carry so many books in nursing. This app allows for one less! I love it!
Love it!!! 5/5
This app has helped me greatly through nursing school so far. I have the Davis Drug book but the app is way quicker.
Great App! 5/5
This is my go-to app when I need info about IV push medications. Love it!
LVN student 5/5
Has the meds that's not in the actual book..
Kinda expensive 4/5
I love Davis and the way the info is organized. Only way it could be better is by making it free 😜🙃. No but real talk, a lifetime sub should be an option. Your selling this to nurses not millionaires, you lose a dumb amount of business to epocrates for this reason.
Easy & Convenient 5/5
Best drug app I have used as a nursing student!
It used to be my favorite app... 2/5
This app is a great, easy and reliable tool to find out about medications. The bad thing about it is that even if you hadn't renew your anual subscription, it still would let you use it, and now you can no longer do that. I would snooze the reminder of the renewal and use it to look up a medication and eventually pay again for the subscription anyways. I was at work and since it does not allow you to do that anymore, I will not renew my subscription since I couldn't rely on it when I needed it. My hospital offers at least two drug books linked to the charting system, I used them and found what I needed. There is also information available online for free. You should either lower the anual subscription or allow people to use it even if they haven't renewed the subscription. With that being said, they just lost a loyal customer that had renewed subscription and used this app for 5 years until now.
RN, EMT 4/5
Quick reliable lookups when doing patient care. Like others would like to be able to see content I've paid for and forego upgrades if I choose to do that. Not really buying the app it's more like a rental with a fee that adds up significantly over time.
Amazing but costly 3/5
This is the perfect pocket guide to drugs BUT it's $39 a year and I have yet to find a way to use the access code I got with my textbook to get the subscription.
Great but hope there's a free one 3/5
By M. Joan
I'm a student and cannot afford the app. Its just sad this has limited use. I hope it can be free for core drugs without update, those who wanted update can then choose to purchase. But besides that, it works well, esp. if one is in clinicals because its hard to bring and look through the book all the time.
This app is amazing ✔ 5/5
Love it ❤ very helpful information
My bible 5/5
Amazing app! Super helpful and excellent resource!
Use it every shift! 5/5
I love this app. I especially love the nursing implementation and IV compatibilities. Would recommend to anyone!!
RN, CNOR, Lic-P 3/5
While this is the drug app I like the most out of all the ones I have used, it still has a few issues. I've seen several new medications on TV commercials, but it seems to take forever for them to appear on here. The other, and perhaps the one I've read the most about, is that if your subscription expires, you can't access the app in the version you've already paid for which is like a textbook self destructing after one year. That ticks me off. Because of those two things I give it 3 stars. I like it, and I'd recommend it, but I'd tell the person about those issues so they could make a more informed decision.
I was denied access because I didn't re-subscribe. I should still be able to access the non-updated information that I PAID for. I'm all for updated content, but I should still be able to access the information I paid for. A textbook doesn't erase itself after one year.

Love this app. Use it frequently and find it fast reliable and easy to use. Love that it gives options when my spelling is off.
Forced Annual Subscription 1/5
This app WAS incredibly helpful getting through nursing school. The "nursing implications" and "patient education" sections were ideal for the beginning nurse.
The app also made searching for medications easy (most of the time). You have to spell the drug correctly, and sometimes the search function wouldn't work if you input the brand name. That meant I had to do a google search for the generic name, to find the medication. (That defeats most of the purpose of having this drug guide in the first place IMO)
All things considered, it WAS a solid app. Here's the catch... I hope you like paying 40 bucks every year for a new one!
Unlike a book, you don't own this app; you are leasing it. We all agree that having access to the most up to date information is imperative in the practice of medicine... but if that was the case, practically every drug guide book would be obsolete the minute it was printed. If I want the most up to date information, I will use whatever drug information system my facility mandates I use.
But most of the time, I just want a quick reference to a drug classification, or to see possible interactions, or to understand it's off-label uses. This drug guide WAS perfect for that.
Bottom line: you already have you phone out... just google it. If you need a more reliable resource, use the one your facility has already paid for. Or, find a PDF version of the same book and keep it on your phone.
Absolute rip off 1/5
I paid $40 for this and then after a year it locked me out of the app and said I need to update my subscription, for another $40. You'd think that you'd get the keep your old drug guide and just not get updates, but they stop you from using the app if you don't pay $40 every year.
This app needs a major makeover. Medication navigation is complicated, you have to search meds by name. You can't scroll or browse through them like you can on the Unbound App for this same book. My suggestion? Davis needs to eliminate this app completely and contract out Unbound for the annual subscription. I would have rather had access to their app for this same book than use this one.
Font too small 1/5
By Yahoo Eh
The font is to small can't read it.
So easy! 5/5
I love that I can put in generic or trade name and it comes right up! Having it in my phone is so convenient!
Only thing I don't like is that there aren't page numbers to reference the book.
Thanks for the update!! 5/5
When this app is current with a recent update, best of the best
First Semester Nursing Student 5/5
So, this app is simply impressive as a nursing student. I was hesitant because of the price, but I took a chance and it has all you need; action, SE/AE, nursing implications, interventions, family teaching, and even possible nursing diagnosis for the medication being administered. These are only some of the thing this app has. Take a chance you will be impressed.
Subscription extension? 4/5
My understanding when Purchased this app a year ago is that it was a one time purchase that I would have access for indefinitely. Does the 1-year subscription extension mean that I will not have access to the application and updates after my 1 year date?
Excellent for Nurses 4/5
I use this app multiple times a day at work. Perfect for busy nurses not wanting to carry around a heavy book. Only a few meds I've come across not in here.
It's back to perfection 5/5
By Tug less
When will this be fixed? FINALLY !! It is back to its original perfection.
I want a refund! 1/5
This was a GREAT app until the update and now it doesn't work. This was an EXPENSIVE app! Either fix it or refund my money!
Do NOT WASTE your $ 1/5
The application is a joke! It does not work on brand new iPads- so if you are looking for a good nursing drug guide focused on nursing. RUN AWAY from this thieve! I want my money back- or my lawyer will be calling you. I do not want to sue you but...you this application has cost me time, money, and emotional hardship. Fix it or get served.
Stop working 1/5
Nice app until the ios6 update when it became frozen. Is this going to be fixed. I paid for this app. Am I going to be reimbursed if it is not fixed?
Same problem here. It worked until the last update (october 2012) and now it is stuck/hung. My clinicals are tomorrow.
Quit working...GRRRR!!! 1/5
It quit working and i have clinicals tomorrow. Great! Worked perfect last semester, but the Oct 23rd update killed it. Not happy about this, not one bit.
A little competition... 4/5
By Andrea D CA
So, this app is the drug guide book in electronic form. However, buy this app from unbound and you get the same thing, plus online access. As in, on a computer. Wish I had known that before buying this app. Also wish I had known about Epocrates, which is free. Don't get me wrong, this is a good app. There's just other options out there.
Love it! 5/5
So much easier than flipping thru the drug book hunting a certain medication. Downfall is the price, but it's the same price as the book :) so either way it works great!
Buy this app!!! 5/5
Just like having the original book in my hands. Well worth the cost.
Great for this nursing student 5/5
It has the same info and page format as the actual book with a quick and easy index. I love having all the info from Davis' Drug Guide on my iPhone. It's a great help in clinical or when studying.
Nursing student 5/5
Awesome app! No problems with freezing up. Well designed interface. Accurate as well as easy to navigate. I use it in lectures, labs, and clinicals.
By App freezes up
I really like this app for it's features. However, it continually freezes up. Hate I paid so much for it and when i need to use it, it doesn't work properly.
Would not have payed 38 dollars if I knew it did not include all drugs, paper version includes more drugs.
Great app! 5/5
Made clinicals doable. Love the bookmark function and the search is super fast. Way Better than clunking through the book.
It's great 5/5
I needed this to make drug cards for my cliicals, the interface is great and simple. It's very easy to navigate. Great app!
Better than Davis's Drug Guide By Unbound Medicine, Inc. 5/5
By Erin Wetzel
I was using Davis's Drug guide for years and was mostly satisfied. I decided to try another drug book and I chose this one. It is way better!! This drug guide gives a much more comprehensive explaination of each medication. Also, this app lists herbal products and almost every vitamin under the sun.
So far so go 5/5
I still think 49.99 is expensive but it has all the information I need for clinicals
