This shows 5mbps and speedtest shows 25mbps, which one is right?
Left behind! 1/5
Apparently Netflix left this app behind since they updated it a year ago! The app never got updates since then! Please update the app or don’t waste our time!
Verizon Go 5/5
As a warning to Verizon Go users, because of the limit on streaming quality, the results will be significantly slower than WiFi, or someone on Beyond unlimited. This is nothing on Netflix's end.
Liberty esta usando esta aplicación como que es la mejor pero aunque no tengas el servicio trabajando eficientemente siempre te dice que tienes lo que ellos dicen. Speedtest si dice la verdadera deńal del wifi
Needs iPhone X Update 2/5
Currently does not display properly on iPhone X and needs an update
Downloaded on its own? 1/5
Never downloaded this and then it appears on my phone?
Results r inconsistent 2/5
By Do Huynh Bao An
4 of my results gave me 4 different numbers: 80, 62, 100, 74. Way to slow than the actual speed. My device is an Ipad Pro 9.7 inch with 802.11 ac with MIMO, how is that translate to speed? Up to 867mbps of download. This is not even close
This app is really bad 1/5
It doesn't work which is not unusual but I hate when apps say they serve a purpose when really it's just a blank screen which doesn't do anything at all. This is becoming the norm these days and it's a problem.
Not accurate (for me) (have giga power) 2/5
Ran multiple tests. Multiple devices. I got wifi AC on multiple devices. Speed test and bing get me 200-300 mpbs consistently on wifi AC And Fast is shaping 70-90mpbs. Yeah. I know. First world problems. But it's just not accurate. Maybe if you had less than a 100mpbs internet. Than fast may be accurate. But for those with 1gbps service. This isn't accurate.
Ping plz 4/5
Add ping for 5 stars. 1L
Needs optimizing 3/5
By The Rhythmist
It's pretty fast and that's great, but it's always around 0.5 Mbps less than Ookla's Speedtest (which is highly accurate). That may not sound like much when testing a 20+ Mbps connection, but it counts for those who have a slower connection.
Does what it's supposed to do. 5/5
This app only tests your download speed. If you'd like something with more test results (like upload speed or ping), go with SpeedTest.
Very accurate. The app is simple and easy to use
Simple is good 5/5
Less is more here, this is a great example of a good app.
Quick & Easy 5/5
Quick results. Way faster than speedtest.net!
Fast simple speed test! 5/5
Very user friendly and a very intuitive app. I totally recommend this to anyone looking for a connection speed tester with no gimmicks just numbers.
Very accurate for my iPad and 2 iPhones 4/5
Fast measured my speed at 87 Mbps.
I have, for several months (since March 2016) tested my speed using the Speedtest and I have an average of 88 Mbps for downloads on Speedtest.
Con: I would like to see what server is used in each test and include the ping rate and upload speed.
Good app - FEATURE REQUEST 4/5
This handy little app is missing a simple feature. I use it to choose among several wifi networks, so it would be very helpful if this app SHOWER WHAT WIFI NETWORK YOU ARE ON along with the speed. This should be simple!
Speedtest.net alternative. SIMPLE 5/5
Speedtest.net if you want to see the graph and ping but takes extra 10 seconds to see.
This is simple for people who already know their ping and just want to see how fast internet is.
Fundamentally flawed 1/5
By Clarence Boddicker esq.
I am probably being harsh here, because I'm so frustrated with sub-par applications like this…
There is a serious defect in this application… If you start it when the Internet is not connected, you'll get a button that says "Retry"… And even after you connect to the Internet, the button is persistent and won't go away, and you have to close the app and restart it in order to run the speed test.
I have reproduced this bug several times, it's amazing to me that this escaped into the released application.
Otherwise, the application does what it's supposed to, very simply and adequately. But this fundamental flaw makes me give it a very liberatingy
Not worth the effort 1/5
By Jim Kleen
Used app to test my internet a half a dozen times. Very inaccurate. You would be far better with Ookla Speedtest. Very accurate and more features to view how your internet works. It keeps a floating record of previous test. I found this helpful when having service calls.
Not working in iphone 4 2/5
No work in iphone 4
It Works 4/5
It's a simple app. It does what it is supposed to and quickly. I still prefer SpeedTest but if I need a quick gauge I will pull this up instead. One thing to make this better is simply historical data.
By Foose chip
Easy and FAST ☺️👍🏻
Plain and simple: it works. 5/5
The app is small and not the most attractive or feature rich.
That's what makes it so amazing.
It's super fast at telling you just what you want to know if your a media consumer.
I will say that the fact they are not measuring upload or jitter or ping time they can give a far more accurate download measurement.
If your a technical person who needs upload stats or well any other information than a pure download speed measurement than I would look elsewhere.
Less bloated than Speedtest 5/5
By Sterling Bourne
Plus it doesn't make you view ads or force you to pay $1 to remove them. Netflix's FAST.com just works.
Been waiting for this to be released. Loved the browser version, and this just brought that to mobile devices. Thanks Netflix!
Its fantastic 5/5
By Abrahem alazawey
This is a cool app it let know my internet speed better than ever thanks netflix and ihope you give a one month free trail for your website thanks
What a load of Crap 1/5
I have 6Mbps full duplex speed , tested with Speedtest.net & speedof.me
This app shows 400Kbps( tested many times)
What a load of crap??!!!
Comparable to actual internet speed plan 4/5
I ran the test 4 times in about 2 minutes time. The results:
1. 13 Mbps
2. 15 Mbps
3. 12 Mbps
4. 13 Mbps
So, the results were not too far off, and I'm therefore averaging about 13.5 Mbps. Seems accurate as I have a 15 Mbps internet plan.
Like the idea, but doesn't actually work right 3/5
By The flying taco emperor
I wanted to see how fast my connection was and it told me I had 80mbps which I thought was amazing because my internet is usually crap. But then I remembered our plan is 50mbps max.
Now what? 3/5
So I know my speed. Now what? Why, oh why would you not include in this app recommended speeds for a quality connection to Netflix? Speeds for solid 4K so I can pay you more money. Speeds for other resolutions so I can keep paying you money. Display the best resolution you can expect right next to the download speed.
Simple download test 5/5
Simple test without ads ,only checks downloads but it does match speedtest and no ads. Also uses Netflix servers ,so this is a way to see if you are getting throttled when using Netflix .So far no problems on FIOS from Verizon.
Highly Inaccurate - Mainly from India 1/5
Compared the speedtest with other testing services and this app reports a slower down speed all the time. Mostly because they don't have globally distributed servers, would be my guess..
Working well now 5/5
It connects properly now
Works as described 5/5
Simple and quick.
Gets the Job Done 5/5
By Alex King Creative
So few features that the second screen shot is the app literally rotated. 👌🏼
Super fast and simple 5/5
Great stuff coming out of Netflix Tech. Tech blog is an awesome read.
Works good 5/5
By Yoska c
Works good. Hopefully they won't raise the price like they do to Netflix every year.
Thanks for giving us an unbiased option that shows true download speed
Does not work 1/5
I think Netflix needs to keep to their primary role of providing movies to the public and not making applications that don't work.
First one to down load the app! 5/5
1st to Review! Basically a web version of fast.com 4/5
This app is basically just a stripped down web browser that goes directly to fast.com
