My job requires me to travel so I stay with Hilton’s quite a bit. App has rarely given me issues. Check in is easy. I really like being able to see the layout of the hotels when choosing my room. Overall good app. 👌🏼

I have been a loyal Hilton customer for years. I recently started traveling a lot. Everyone said that should switch to Marriott. I’ve tried both brands. I would say that they are comparable. But, I have to tell you that if everything is equal, Hilton wins every time with the APP! The other guys do NOT have it figured out! Hilton’s digital check in, digital key, receipt process, points utilization, and pretty much everything else about the APP is far superior. I might have to abandon the idea of staying at Marriott altogether unless I absolutely have to. #easyisbetter

The same people that love this app probably love SouthWest Airlines. (No offense to you SWA FF’s). The problem is I fly every week. I’m a lifetime elite member in several programs soon to be lifetime Diamond w/ Honors. The analogy is that people that have the ability to check in at the exact time the checkin process is available are the big winners here. People that are too busy flying or in meetings can’t get to the immediate checkin emails. By the time I check in through the app there is typically less that half the rooms to choose from, many times less than five.
Pre-app, I continually received upgrades as a diamond member when there was a manual check in process. They held those rooms and while it was first come first serve there was usually something nice available. Now by the time I check in a full day ahead of time almost all the rooms are completely gone. I now spend more time in special needs rooms than upgrades because of the selection that is left.
There are some fantastic features of this app that includes: booking, receipts from the past stays, and instant access to Uber. Actually, I’d rate this app a 5 if they were to get rid of the app check in feature. I know I sound spoiled but honestly I spend a majority of my life on the road. I’m sure those that spend a majority of life at home want to be as comfortable as possible there. Being on the road is home for me. It’s not bad enough to leave yet but I’m seriously getting the impression that the process will probably not change.

Altogether not a bad app, but some user interface choices could be better. Choosing nights for a stay won’t let you select each night. You have to pick the start and end of a range. Not intuitive. Also don’t be deceived by the digital key. You would think it’s something where your phone can be used in the same manner as a digital keycard - not so! It’s much more kludge-y and only works on room doors, nothing else.

In addition, this app doesn't find the closest door for digital key. It shows me my room and when I go to unlock, switched me to laundry and unlocked that door instead.

App is very handy. No need to check in when using digital key. Finding and Booking rooms easy via the app. Redeeming points is easy and the app allows you to adjust how many points vs cash you wish to redeem. All in all very functional and a breeze to use.

I travel every week, I try to stay at Hilton family hotels on every trip! 99% of the time everything is seamless and perfect!! The app helps me make reservations ad check in process much quicker and easier. Peace of mind is important when in the road for business and this app and Hilton helps me do that.

Terrible new search interface 1/5
Hilton used to have one of the best hotel apps in the industry, but the latest update changed the hotel search page into a terrible format. Now you have to select a location and then wait until the now significantly slowed down app lists hotels before you can change the actual dates you plan to stay and wait again. Please change that back. Your app is the main reason I don’t stay at IHG and Marriott hotels anymore.

Hilton, as usual, caring more about its own experience than that of their customers. If I have turned off location access it’s for a reason. Asking me every check in just ticks me off.
This app works well. However, I do notice that this app only supports English. I feel that Hilton serves many countries in the world, so it may be more appropriate for this app to support other languages.
