Excellent free app 5/5
I see one ad every couple of days, so what. It's free. Close the ad, carry on with the free app.
Decent app. Too many adverts. 1/5
Decent app Somewhat non interactive... until the oppressive ads begin... then holy Moses I am busy trying to silence the ads so I can find out where to go on the subway. Not cool. I get it! Free apps need to make money too, but good grief every time I try to use the app the bullying begins? Will be deleting asap. Good luck. Hope you win.

Why is there a pop up ad every time I look at this app? Plus there are ads on the site at all times. Bs.

I want to check the map . I get a blank page.
It is just a map and not an app 1/5
This "app" is just map that you can blow out, there is nothing else.
excellent app 5/5
excellent nyc app with simple, classy appearence. a must have for subway riders
Smart travel 3/5
It would be helpful to have interactive maps with best routes to get places. The Tube in London makes it easy for travelers to get around using this method.
good app 5/5
Probably the best app now for the subway.
Old School presentation is still good....but 4/5
By Mobile Luke
I wish you can type in the destination and then that will be highlighted or a blinking dot will appear. Then a diff page will appear with options on which train to take.
good nyc app 5/5
this is good app.they do boston and chicago subways too which are as good as this one
MTA help 5/5
MTA can be shocking sometimes. Thankfully, this NYC Subway app let's you know what's going on before you leave work without having to search all the over the web to find out what the latest issue is. Good app.

10/10 for New York City subway riders. really helped yesterday with the 125th st derailment. nice to see an app managed by humans giving helpful advice. 5/5 for New York City subway riders
New York, New York! 5/5
WOW! Now New York is mine! Never knew what a widget was until I got the message on this app! Thanks for the help
Best of best 5/5
Cure 4 #MTAhell 5/5
Avoid getting trapped behind a broken train by starring the route you use to get notifications when it's totally messed up (1,2,3..) and like me arrive for your very important meeting on time! Smug? Yeah a bit
New York Essential 5/5
From Staten Island to Long Island and everything in between in NYC, to the left and to the right. This app will move you, literally, around Gotham with style and ease.
Classy NYC 5/5
Classy subway app for New York. Good design, good interface, cool route planner and access to Boston ad Chicago maps too. Can't fault it, nor will you ;)

How much does this app cost?
makes my day 5/5
worthy free app for NYC, MTA and NJ.
lots of free maps and subway alerts makes it more useful than google maps or a hard to reach and slow web site.
GOOD FREE APP 5/5
Solid app with lots of offline maps, alerts and route planners.
Worth every penny!
Intuitive and simple 5/5
By Vice GG
This is one of those apps that don't require wifi to download the map each time you open it. It also informs you of live updates on train delays. Overall, highly recommended for daily commuters.
Second ave 5/5
By Michael Clarke.
Now has the new second ave subway extention (which was missing for a whole four day! first world probs, eh?!). the app has more maps but somehow is a reduced file size. clever guys. good app.
NYC Essential 5/5
Used it for the first time this weekend and it's impressively simple. Favorite the lines you use most for notifications of service charges to get max use of it
Good Update 5/5
By Nicole Thomas.
LIRR addition is welcome.
Adds ruins it 2/5
Whenever I need to look at this map I'm in a hurry and an adds pop up where I can't click out of it for 15 seconds. There are better maps out there.
Great app!! 5/5
Use this a lot!! Thanks for adding the LIRR map!!
Out of date 2/5
No W line, no 2nd Ave subway. This app is in urgent need of an update.
Subway Best 5/5
I think the NYC Subway is among the best in the world. Not the most fancy but it is super reliable. Best feature of this app is the abilty to favourite you trains and get notifications. Good free app for NY.
NYC, NJ, the World 5/5
Great and simple app with travel alerts (so you don't need to open the app to know what trains are suspended), NJ Transit maps, free uber ride and world-wide journey planner.
top app 5/5
always my first choice. no wifi needed. best of class
Zoo York 5/5
This free Subway app put you on the outside of the cage and makes travelling round NYC and NJ inifinitely better.
By far the most efficient New York Subway app, with lots of network maps and line updates. Also has a link to Boston which is useful if you travel beyond NYC

River line 5/5
By Strings luca
You've added river line to your famous NYC Subway app! How cool. It's now a New Jersey and New York Subway app! Perhaps you should changed the name? :-D
NOT JUST AN APP OF A MAP 5/5
By Prince clue
KINDA UNDERSELLS ITSELF! IT'S A LATE TRAIN REMINDER, TRIP PLANNER AND CONTAINS MULTIPLE MAPS, NJ TRANSIT UPDATES AND MAP JUST STOPS SHORT OF CLEANING MY SHOES. THIS APP DOES MORE THAN ADVERTISED AND EVEN HAD BOSTON, CHICAGO AND LA MAPS INCLUDED. IT LOOKS REAL PRETTY TOO
significant upgrade 5/5
good app, had it for a few years but the latest upgrade is worthy of a review as it has widened the scope of this app to be much more useful outside of Manhatten.
Great NJ Update 5/5
Thank you for recgonising that New Jersey is not a remote outpost of some Hollywood Soprano's fantasy, but a real part of the metropolis of New York City. Yes, a river divides us! But we're part of the NYC eco-system and economy, more than even the the five boro's I suspect and your inclusion now of the NJ Transit lines including Newark, River Line and Hudson Bergen has elevated this worthy app from a meager 4 star, to the full 5 stars IMO. Thanks Mr App Developers. It's a great free app and we appreciate your work
good travel alerts 5/5
Open the app, hit More, favorite the lines you use, close the app and get updates without having to open it again. Works well for me.
Newark added 5/5
New York, tick. And now Newark, tick. Great app. Keep it free please!
Very good app, the best NYC Subway app in my opinion.
A Train 5/5
As native New York as a yellow cab. A must have for New Yorkers.
Reliable & Delay train alerts accurate! 5/5
I live in NY for 6mo and this app was easier for me to use than others. When traveling for work it is important to know if trains have sudden changes in service and this app was accurate and had 15minute delay notification one day from a train that was stopped bc a crazy dude jumped on tracks ..15min is pretty fast turn around time in my opinion. Rerouting your PATH when you are unfamiliar in NYC can be anxiety producing at best but this APP helped me tremendously!!!
GOOD SERVICE! 5/5
What a delight to get a GOOD SERVICE alert just before I'm about to look for a new route this morning. Get this app, 'favorite' the train you use most and sit back
NJ Transit 5/5
Good to it also includes NJ transit and buses. I take the PATH daily. Also has a link to Boston T, which is useful for when I'm up there.
Uber ready 5/5
Really useful and now it has Uber built in too
