Feels Clunky Now 2/5
After upgrading to v2.3, as others have noted, it appeared RedBrick broke Apple Health syncing. After multiple back-and-forth, generic response emails (over MANY days) with their support team, I finally got someone intelligent who told me where the setting for Apple Health syncing is buried.
Once logged into the app, tap the ‘vertical ellipses’ in the upper-right corner. Choose ‘Profile’. Within the profile settings, enable the setting for ‘Connect to Health app’ and then follow the prompts to choose which Apple Health items to allow RedBrick to read.
So while I can confirm this has restored my ability to complete the daily step tracking point, the behavior now is that it syncs steps up through two days prior from the current day. Why?! Why steps from two days ago and not from yesterday?
Come on RedBrick. This version of the app was a regression from v2.2.2. Bring that version back and leave it alone. It worked fine.
Horrible update! 1/5
Feels like I’m navigating a web page on my phone instead of an app. Very awkward. Have to press days twice when logging exercise. Way too many clicks required. Bring back the older version.
Horrible update 1/5
I liked the older version on tracking steps, it actually let you know if it was sync'd. This version, does not.
The “redesign” is horrid. Was simple to hook to other apps, Apple Health, add to Track before the app was changed to a web view. Absolute joke. Pretty convenient that the requirements to earn credit for Track are dependent on some arbitrary “score” of your activity, when the “app” doesn’t sync the activity you’re already tracking on your phone or health apps...LIKE IT USED TO.
Not surprised though. This is the same company that couldn’t keep faxes straight and had no problems reporting my “unfulfilled obligations” when THEY lost the fax my doctors office sent multiple times.
RedBrick is a joke and the company is a farce. Pathetic app.
Not good 1/5
Very low functionality. Tried to sync with my Apple Watch and will not connect with Apple health no matter what I do. I then tried to manually enter my data and the screen goes blank every time I try to access “add to track” and I need to close the app. The worst.
I don’t know who designed this, but they should keep their day job. It makes it impossible to do the simplest tasks, like quickly recording your exercises or seeing your history. From the last version, which was bad enough, they’ve added all sorts of unnecessary elements and click paths, and buried useful tasks under an avalanche of graphics and pointless health tips. Ditch this and start again please, but first find out what your users actually want to do instead of what you are trying to push.
Redbrick should be ashamed of hiring devs that output this horrible quality of work. The devs who worked on this should be ashamed of having no standards in what they build. There's enough blame to go around the entire company, because this is simply the most incompetent amount of money spent on software outside the government.
Stopped working after last update 1/5
The options bars are not showing anymore. You can’t navigate through the app.
Dead ends 2/5
By Jen and Dre
Everything you tap on leads to a dead end. Once you choose rewards or any of the other option on the main scree there is no way out! You have to close the app and reload it. Duh!!!!
Data not available 1/5
By BT from Forest
Missing information that is important to see. Can’t see data for each calendar day that is input. Can’t see walking time/distance.
Like navigating a maze 1/5
Moving around inside this app is unintuitive and frustrating. Can’t find/get to settings to see about syncing with the third party apps this update purports to enable.
Additionally, it isn’t syncing with existing data from Apple. There is money on the table in the form of health improvement incentives so, developers, please ensure that I can sync the exercise/activity data from my iPhone to Redbrick.
What a joke 1/5
This app is a joke. I have to use it to save a little extra money on our overpriced insurance and it doesn’t even work. What a joke our healthcare system is.
Terrible App 1/5
Most of the time it only shows the home page. When you click to record a journey it loads back to the home screen or shows a blank page. If it wasn’t for work I would have deleted this app a long time ago. Once again the app is terrible and you are better off logging in to the website online.
Does not work 1/5
Every time I try to login under the company I work for it says cannot find that login name. Works on my home PC just not my iPhone. Also does not sync up with my iWatch to upload all my workout data.
Not Working 1/5
I’ve had this app for three weeks and have yet to actually work. After I log in, it tells me there is something wrong and I should retry.
Login issues 1/5
Login issues make the app completely unusable.
Need improvement 1/5
It did what it needed to do for me but now it just won’t connect to my employer’s site so it’s become unless and I have to sign on a different way. It made it easier with the app to sync with my other apps. Wished it would work right again
The app stopped syncing walking data a while ago and now the app won't even log in. Going backwards. Used to work.
Not syncing with health app on iPhone 5s 1/5
What happened? The app hasn't synced with the walking data in the health app since about July 11. I don't even see walking as a data source any more. I deleted/reloaded the app to no avail. Please help.
Hate this app 1/5
Used to able to use thumbprint security latest update...it's gone! Every time they update I have to call support to get logged back in!!! No telling how much time and incentives I've lost as a result of this app! If I could give it a negative stars rating I would!!!
Touch id 2/5
By Annoyed with fidelity
Why is touch id no longer an option for logging in?
Almost there- please add syncong from Strava 3/5
Almost there- please add activity syncing from Strava and/ or Apple Health
Keeps asking for password 1/5
I enter login and password and it takes it. Then a couple days later it forgets and asks for my password again. Tired of this so into the bin.
Terrible Integration 1/5
Redbrick is connected through my employer to track our movement to show I'm active and healthy. This app has terrible integration to the Apple HealthKit. I have to resync data everyday and it only picks up maybe one workout. Millions of people use this app for their employers. This needs to be resolved ASAP.
Does not sync with Apple Health App 1/5
I find it very disappointing that a company that is so into wellness and health and has such a poor app. I have ask them for years to be able to sync with Apple. The app sync 2 of 5 days. What a joke. If my Apple Watch tracks all my activity it should sync easily to redbrick app. But that does not happen. Find it interesting they still support jawbone which is a dead device now. They need to get with it.
Much improved! 4/5
Big improvement. App experience with all the functionality of the desktop experience.
Can't even take my assessment on the app. This thing is a joke.
Does not sync Apple Watch OR steps so you still have to go into the website and add your activity. Completely useless
Used to work - useless 1/5
I used to be able to sync steps from Apple Watch - via Health App to this app. Still required me to open the RB app periodically- never as good as Fitbit integration. Ridiculous that they can't support Watch now.
Not syncing 1/5
By Fuad Gomez
This was working, not now
The point of this app is to sync to the program. Since it never does this why have the app? I must go onto myPC to add my activities. Such a fail.
I can't even 1/5
Terrible. Signing in is even a poor experience.
Can't Login 1/5
App is broken. Wait for version 2.
Did anyone even bother to think... 1/5
By T Willies
If the only reason you created this was to say you had an app, you nailed it.
As an athlete I really think that no one even consulted some that regularly exercises to see what should go on this app and how they could better incentivize people to become healthier. Yes I see you want me to put statistics in but your system does not give any credit for those of tracking our activities unless we use our phone or a very limited number meet of devices. There are hundreds of thousands of runners, cyclist, swimmers, crossfitters, rowers, trekkers, climbers and many more out there that use garmin, suunto, polar, fitbit type devices that you can't see on the app. While you can find some of that on the webpage, It's even hard to find that on there.
Poor App 1/5
It took me 3 days to successfully log in. The next day the app would not progress past the log in page. This app needs a lot of work. I am very disappointed.
Can't even handle signing in 1/5
By Just us elves
The sign in page lets one sign in with their employer's single sign on option, but once having done so I'm at my employer's benefits web page, with nothing in the app to get me anywhere else (other than back to the sign on page). That means it's completely useless.
Creating a Redbrick account is finicky (gotta put your middle name after your first name in the first name field), and they require a phone number. I don't want them to call me but they say they have no way to prevent that. After seeing the other reviews here I'm going to keep using the Fitbit sync instead.
Needs work 2/5
The app functions, but it needs a lot of work to emulate the website. Reward features have recently been added due to numerous customer requests. App needs newer, fresher looking icon. Right now it rates below average.
Does not sync 1/5
I have an Apple Watch and the app stated it was synced with my iPhone and Apple Watch. It tracked activity for 2 1/2 weeks and synced my results only one time . It hasn't synced my results for the last 10 days . I contacted RedBrick support and they gave me a canned response that the app can become disconnected if the Watch or phone gets an update. Well there was no update during this time . The app is just worthless .
Apple Watch 1/5
By Cswht IP
This app is useless since it cannot sync data from an Apple Watch. You have to buy another device or use another app to track your activity.
RedBrick health app 5/5
By Apple House CEO
Love the new release of this app. Have it thru my employer and I sync my steps, etc from my Apple Watch and then also quickly input when I take yoga or spinning. The coolest part is the gift cards that I can activate once I meet the rewards and they are real time. Already spent my REI gift card!!
No back option 2/5
I just downloaded this app and there is no "back" option. I'm stuck on a page and can't get back to the beginning.
Doesn't work without Activation Code which I can't get 1/5
I downloaded the app and the first screen requires an Activation Code which is says it'll send via email. I didn't receive an email so I called the Help Desk and was told an Activation Code isn't needed, just logon - um, that's not an option with the app. I was then told that her notes said that an Application Code will be available later this year (2016). So the app is worthless to me at this time. :-/ So frustrating.
Ugh.... No stars earned yet. 1/5
I wasn't going to load the RB app due to the bad reviews, but then I saw that this app interfaced with Apple Health to sync up my daily Steps activity. Great! My walks will be tracked automatically. Well... I'm all ready to get started and the RB app says I was sent an authorization code via email. Checked my email several times, but never got it. In the meantime the RB screen is locked and waiting for the authorization code -- no opportunity to resend the auth code, just locked. Ugh... Dialed the customer svc number, but it's closed on Sunday. Ugh... Went to the RB online version, but there is no mention of the RB app at all that I could find. Ugh... I'm going to call customer svc on Monday, but if it's closed due to the holiday, here's an "Ugh..." in advance. In the meantime, I'm trying to maintain a sense of humor about this because I was warned. Thank you for this opportunity to vent.
Love the journeys! 5/5
It is so convenient to be able to complete these journeys from my phone.
Can't get this app to work. Frustrating! Won't accept the activation code then only loads 1/2 page so no more chances.
Can Redbrick do anything right? Website is (despite contemporary color scheme) poor design. This app is just a continuation of the same.
Simple activation is painful. Call a telephone #, ?!!! INCREDIBLE.
Laid a Brick 2/5
This app has so much potential. Both of the other reviews tell the story. The app could connect so much better to an Apple Watch and the Health app on the iPhone, but they stopped short. Another dumb thing is that Redbrick tracks work outs, but when you track it on your Apple Watch it doesn’t pass along that information to this app or the website. Come on guys get it together.
Badly needs an update 1/5
I soooo much want to like this app. I held getting an Apple Watch until Red Brick brought out this app and supported he device. After working for about a week, the app will no
Just ok 2/5
Would be better if you could see your history on the mobile app but you have to log onto your computer to do that. Also if you track an activity on the mobile app you can't delete it even on the computer. This app has limited use; it could be a lot better.
Better than the web version 4/5
By Paying to be marketed
This is better than the web version for journeys and recording my exercise. It doesn't seem to know anything about my rewards though. Is activity on the app sent to the website so I get rewards?
