If booked with group - which I’m thinking is pretty common - cannot mobile checkout even though you receive notification you can.
Cannot find a reservation and add if the SPG number wasn’t added at time of booking.

There are other offers in the full website. All offers should be offered in the app as well. I shouldn't have to do so much research on SPG to find the best offer or deal for me. But good deals.

Overall I think the SPG app is decent. There's one major feature that the app and Starwood hotel brands is missing. That's the ability to select your room using mobile check-in. Hilton has hit this out of the park by offering this feature with mobile check-in. IMO every hotel chain ought to be offering this feature. I absolutely love being able to select the room I want...getting the floor and area of the building I prefer. When you stay 75+ nights a year in hotels, it's features like this will bring me back to a hotel brand every time. Unfortunately Starwood falls short here. Please consider adding this functionality.

You'd think it would not be this hard to book a darn room but sadly this app is really unintuitive. Some features have "links" that simply look like text on the screen. Not a fan of this app; will most likely book on the website (if at all) next time.

I've never had any performance issues with the app, it provides point and activity information, is easier to search than the web, and has some during stay info as well. Any spg warrior would value this app.

I've never had a problem with this App, I love it! Very easy to use to book a stay or check your point balance. I recently booked a last minute stay with the convenience of my phone app. I love the convenience of having this available on my phone!

App hangs when first opened -- can't get past the opening screen. Please update.
Every time I open this app tells me that I "need to update to the most recent version" and does not let me do anything else. However when it takes me to the App Store, it says I am up-to-date. I have uninstalled completely and reinstalled several times. Very frustrating! Other than that I have been mostly pleased with the app performance.

What happened? Mobile and desktop are the worst. Went from amazing to my least fav in the course of 18 months. Starwood is the worst now. Fix this! I'm lifetime Platinum and I no longer use your brand because it's so horrible. New leadership to revitalize the brand, please!

I just installed this app. The app freezes on the "profile" page and, when it does load, there is no way to reset the password. Disappointing.

I'm a Marriott Lifetime Platinum, so I'm new to the Starwood brand. I was confused and disappointed over the functionality of the App as several functions were missing or non-intuitive. I eventually figured it out, but experience could be better. Here's my list of items to improve the application:
1) Allow me to define room preferences at the profile level and then apply them to room searches. Today, this seems only to be available after a search has been completed as a "refine" function. This forced me to put the same preferences in for bedding type, smoking preference and accessibility multiple times (over multiple searches)
2) There should be a flag to include/exclude prepaid rates and non-cancellable rates. Since they are currently included and the disclaimer isn't obvious...I feel like I'm being taken advantage of.
3) If I have status with Starwood - why don't you include the "preferred guest" rates by default?
4) let me setup a profile trait that says I always want to compare lowest website rate against AAA and AARP.
5). On an ipad, the fonts and graphics are HUGE! I suppose it's really an iPhone app that just works on an iPad? Why no iPad-specific version?

Their app is a disaster. I am so excited to earn SPG points and their dysfunctional app really disincentivizes me totally. Sure me reasons I hate this app: sign in is only successful about 50% of the time (at best), numerous buttons in the app just redirect you web page iframes (if u r going to just redirect me to a web page, why even make me download the app?), I've linked my Uber account with my spg account and the credit I'm supposed to get hasn't been transferring to my spg acct, and the app doesn't even load properly all the time.

The app is very handy from everything to booking, requesting upgrades, requesting early check-ins, and even opening the door (when keyless works).
