I like the magazine, but sometimes the app doesn't recognize that I have a subscription. This makes me nervous as I've had apps screw me before. Hopefully they'll fix it!
Everything requires a subscription/trial 3/5
I'd like to read the magazine, but for $5 each issue, I'll pass.
Fabulous Publication! 5/5
Filled with up-to-date information and ideas, with super photography and layouts. Really love this publication, thank you!
By Cb knows
Love this magazine!
Love it, want it on all my devices 4/5
I really love this magazine! I'd like it more if I could access it on both my apple devices, rather than having to choose. It's a little more tricky to use than other online magazines, but I have had no problems downloading & viewing the issues, as others have. I like that the links are right in the app, but still bring me back to the magazine.
Sailboat Living 5/5
All the download issues have been resolved. I love this app. Great ideas and I love seeing people do what us sailboaters have done forever, but on land. It's about the experience and not the space.
Some problems downloading and opening on iPhone.... 3/5
I'm having some issues opening and downloading the mag on my iPhone
But it works okay (sometimes) on my iPad....I tried to contact Cust service but they have not replied yet...
What I could read was very informative and interesting!
Everything's here!! 5/5
It is great to get the magazine to read and understand at your own pace. Very nice!!
Problems Resolved-Magazine Great 5/5
I had some problems downloading issues but Kent patiently resolved the problems! Love the magazine! Would like to see more Tiny Houses geared toward Seniors!
Sleeping lofts would not be our first choice! Also, enjoy the different types of tiny accommodations available!
Love it! Trouble resolved 5/5
By Jaded Technophile
I had this subscription since the 4th issue rolled out. I love it, wrote some questions to the publisher/editor and always got back a thoughtful response. Gave a copy to some friends living on a boat - they love it!
I too had trouble with the "validation error" Dec-Jan - sent a message about my trouble and received a prompt reply TO MY APPLE account. Did as suggested, no problems since.
Tiny House review = Tiny review. 5/5
I like it.
Subscriptions don't work... 1/5
Bought a subscription to give the magazine a try... Didn't receive the free one as advertised. Stay away from this one until they get the subs fixed!
I have been trying for the last month to get my last two issues and keep getting an error message saying I need an Internet connection, which I have because everything else works but this App. I notified Kent and this is the answer he got back from the developers
We have downloaded and tested your app on multiple devices and we are not able to replicate the problem your readers are experiencing.
With a WiFi connection, we are able to access your app as well as download issues, as a subscriber.
Guess I'm done
Nice Magazine 4/5
I really enjoy reading this magazine. The articles are fascinating and the pictures are great. I would have given it 5 stars if the download of the magazine were easier. I have had to have help from Kent to download each issue. He is working on correctIng that and it should be fixed soon. I will continue to subscribe even with the download difficulties.
Great magazine, bad app. 2/5
The magazine itself is fun to read but like other reviewer's are posting the app is very frustrating for subscribers. Whenever a new issue comes out you have no access to it. The app recognizes you as subscribed but refuses to let you download the issue.
Validation error 1/5
I have subscribed and cannot open the app to view any issues. Keep getting validation error messages. Please fix this issue.
Not much to the app 2/5
The magazine looks good, but when I open the app I am basically taken to a subscription page. That page doesn't even tell what a subscription costs, but just what the single issue price is.
Nor can you glance through even just the index .
Beyond frustrating 1/5
Subscribed and can't open an issue. Was very excited about getting this magazine but the app has more than dampened my excitement. This seems like a big mistake now.
So Frustrating! 2/5
I enjoy the magazine, but accessing the latest issue is always problematic, even though the subscription auto-renews each month. I may drop the subscription if the publisher can't fix this issue. I don't have this problem with my other subscriptions.
Unreliable app: "validation error" 1/5
I've subscribed to this magazine in the past, and while the content is great, the app is unreliable. Now, I can't even subscribe to the magazine, since it just keeps giving me a "validation error." I've tried a few different Apple IDs and had the same issue. Sent a note to the developers but never heard back.
Tiny House Magazine 5/5
I started getting this magazine about a year ago. I love it! The photography is great and always catches me first. After I look at all the pictures, I go back and read the magazine cover to cover. Even if you personally aren't interested in a tiny house, the magazine is great with wonderful pictures and lots of information.
Great mag, crummy app 1/5
The content is terrific, but the app is a pain. I constantly have to restore purchases, it forgets my subscription status, it's a bad app for a terrific magazine
Nice mag, app unreliable 1/5
I love Tiny House Magazine, but I have to be honest, their app is annoying me so much right now. In the last two months, I've not been able to access the newest issues under my subscription. Not a huge deal as I'm pretty busy, I figured it would sort out.
Now I have no access to any issue I'd received as part of a subscription, only the issues I bought individually that came out before I found it.
This issue persists on both my iPhone and iPad, through restores and attempts to resubscribe. I just get a "validation error" and nothing goes through.
I've messaged the developers, but who knows when they'll bother to sort me out.
This Mag is a Trailblazer 5/5
This magazine is a fantastic resource for people who are just looking to live life in a unique and unconventional way. Before knowing it existed I'd have laughed out loud at the mere thought of trying to live with so little space. Now I truly get where all my time and energy are going - into maintaining my large house and yard. The articles in THM will be a great resource when my time comes to go tiny. Would love to see a consolidated edition that covers the various considerations all in one place (heater/AC/materials/trailer options, etc, with comparisons). Would also like to see more varied features but that will come as the tiny movement spreads 😊.
Lots of good information about researching, building and living in tiny homes of all sorts. When I finally get to build/buy my own tiny home, I'll be better prepared.
Yay Tiny Houses! 5/5
I love the concept of the tiny house and hope to build one and live in it some day - this is a great contribution to the movement!
Love the app, but... 4/5
...I wish I could get the PDF version of the editions I've already purchased through the app so I could read them in iBooks on my computer. HAAAAATE reading on my tiny-albeit-a-6 iPhone screen. Hate. It.
Real magazine by real people 5/5
By Laurie in VT
It's a refreshing antidote to the mass market 'home' magazines. Thanks!
By Shanghai Que
I've been very happy with this magazine. I feel the articles are informative. They choose great topics to cover and include enough photos to give a decent idea of what is being talked about. Thanks!
Very inspirational 5/5
I always find something interesting in each magazine. I'll definitely stay subscribed. Thanks!
Love this magazine! 4/5
I love the photos and articles. I think the owners of the tiny homes keep it real and honest. It's not for everyone but I want to live a simpler life and this inspires my goal.
Fantastic Read 5/5
I enjoy getting lost in all the wonderful tiny homes folks have designed & created! I am getting a lot of ideas for what I wish to create myself!
Great Information***** 5/5
Very nice magazine format. It is full of useful information and tips for those interested in "Tiny House" projects and resources. I can't wait to see the future issues.
Tiny House 5/5
Articles are always interesting, informative and entertaining.
Great Magazine 5/5
Great reading material. Changed my whole outlook on retirement plans.
Fantastic and well worth it.
Good Magazine 5/5
This app is a portal to get you to the magazine which does require a subscription. What magazine doesn't?!?! If you like to read/learn about space saving ideas, living small and simplifying your life then this is a good choice. I don't have a tiny house but I mostly like the space saving ideas and stories about having no mortgage. Great concept. Enjoy.
Ready to live the life! 4/5
My wife and I get such great ideas from this publication! And the stories are a pleasure to read.
It's just a portal to subscribe to the magazine. This app does nothing else.
By Trevor Gortemiller
This is listed as free. Only one of the covers will be enlarged. That is not free.
Makes me passion 5/5
Excellent mag. It makes me deep passtion to move a tiny house quickly. I love to do it.
Love the new format but, 4/5
It crashes after every few page turns. Great mag though.
Tiny House fan! 5/5
I love this magazine. I am fascinated by tiny homes and this magazine is one of my favorites.
House Beautiful, more than Popular Mechanics 3/5
The magazine is enjoyable to read with good pictorials and owner stories, but follows rather than leads. It doesn't have many evaluations of actual systems involved and not much about downsizing them to the Tiny House such as state-of-the-art heat and air, electrical, security. plumbing and insulation, vibration protection, or weight reduction for the DIY builder. Nor have I seen any analysis of actual trailer construction or suspension systems, weight of the finished products and tow vehicle suitability. I've only been a subscriber for a few months, but the magazine seems to be in its early non-technical stages, as is the movement.
Beautiful! Great resource for everything Tiny House! 5/5
By iPhone User One
This magazine is beautifully done, it's a great resource for everything Tiny House, and is just a pleasure to read.
iPad Perfect 5/5
By Master Coder
It makes perfect sense to put this magazine on this device! Perfect marriage.
Wonderful resource for those interested in lower impact living.
Tiny House 5/5
This is a cutting edge magazine focusing on a very interesting movement around the world. I enjoy it immensely am paying close attention to its content. Aside from great photos and very personal stories about the workings of people's living situations, what's really being talked about is a variety of meaningful and tangible freedom. I appreciate this little magazine immensely.
I love it! 5/5
Very interesting! Love the video feature stories!
I saw a little area in Fredericksburg, Tx recently that was gated with tiny houses being built in it....little cobblestone looking street giving it the feel of a tiny village. Would like to see more areas like this!
