Can't be trusted 1/5
They had a paid version I paid for then went to a new model with only ads. Bait and switch pass
Very slow Siri is drunk to use this 1/5
I want scores and highlights Siri told me "I don't have the yahoo sports app" very slow takes a long time to sync.
Love it 5/5
By GUSTY GOOSE
I love this app and I have been using it for a while. One thing I wish it had was college men's ice hockey because then I have to look it up on the internet and I would rather check it on the app.
Needs some updates 4/5
I love this app. Great place for score and stats. I use this app daily. Please update European golf tour schedule. Thanks.
Right now, instead of showing player stats on the Cavs/Warriors game, it just shows the injury reports for each team. And the only "support" for this app is a forum operated by the community, who aren't developers, so basically there is no support at all. :-/
Good app 4/5
But needs UFC and MMA
Childhood memories. Great cartoon.
Advertising with a bit if sports 3/5
You can find the scores and stats you're looking for but it will be surrounded by giant ads. They even make you use the app horizontally so they can squeeze in more ads and fake news stories.
Lost Confidence 1/5
Used to be a good app. Now it has issues. Can't trust it. One section will show ball scores in 2nd inning, yet it's in the 9th inning. Not good. Slow, if any, notifications. A year later and it stills doesn't keep up. Really bad. Now you go into "my picks" or "alerts" and you can't get back to the main screen. Have to reset the phone.
It forgot my Favorites...again! 2/5
When I opened the app today I saw that it was missing all of my favorites. I checked my other phone and it had the same issue. What the heck Yahoo!?
This is not the first time Yahoo! has forgotten my favorites and all of my alerts and I will have to manually enter it in again. Is this annoying problem that is really the only issue I ever have with this app.
Kills it. 5/5
By Young hustla
This app kills it. Trumps the ESPN app by a couple of miles
Use at your own risk 1/5
By Sports Consumerist
Crashes. Contains factually incorrect information. Storage and data hog. Not responsive to consumers. Intuitive design.
Way way better than any other sports app out there by far. I love it. Better than ESPN app. The only issue I have is that the font is super small and hard to see for the iPhone. Other than that is cool.
Doesn't work on iPad in landscape mode. 2/5
Title says it all. My go to app on iPhone, but it's terrible on iPad.
The absolute best 5/5
No other app beats this one for sports!
Almost perfect!!!!!!!!!! 3/5
It is a good app. But its weird why other apps are mire complete than this app. No mexican soccer league neither from south america there can be good changes to this app. If you guys make it I would sat its perfect!!! Hope u guys can fix it.
Yahoo Sports App Has Become Irritating 1/5
I have loved this app and understand they have to make money, but the thing has become cluttered with ads. Today a commercial just started playing. I have no idea where it came from. There was no sign of any video playing anywhere on the page, perhaps from a previous page that was slow loading. Whatever, #Yahoo needs to fix it before I'll use this app again. There are plenty of other sports apps out there.
Not getting the Copa del Rey 5/5
Not getting the results of copa del rey in spain. Games were played yesterday and today. No results showed until now almost 12 hours later!!! What' s going on?
Solid app - not great, not bad. 4/5
No complaints. Solid. Never crashes. Accurate statistics.
Yahoo Sports - good but frustrating 4/5
This has the overall nicest interface, and seems the most comprehensive of all iOS sports apps I've tried.
That said, it's periodically SO frustrating - news doesn't update sometimes for extended periods. Today (1/1/2017) the 'current' news for the NHL is still stuck on stories from 12/22/2016 -- 9 days ago! I just deleted the app and reloaded it - no change! Also, game summaries are sometimes more than a day late in appearing for various sports.
Where to go 5/5
By Doug in SA
Where to go to get my NFL NBA NCAAF or MLB scores. I can't watch everything, but I want to keep up. Great first thing in morning if Spurs or Astros are on the West Coast. Really is a great reference.
Easy to read, clear layout 4/5
Enjoy it and use it often for reference during the season . Especially like clear easy to read format.
By Ike Y
Easy to use and fast!
Love it 5/5
I love this app
IWatch Support 4/5
Only 4 stars.......As the App needs IWatch support ASAP
Everything I need in a sports app 5/5
Between NBA, NFL, UFC, and NCAA football, it covers everything I want this app for. Highly recommended.
By family man of 3
This is one of the few sports apps I use. It's nice because it allows you to put in notifications for pregame start times.
My go to scores app 5/5
By T town teddy
Scores, play by play, stats. Almost real time. This app is by my side if I can't be in front of the tv or at the game.
Switched From ESPN 5/5
I used ESPN for the longest time and wanted to change to a new sports app.
Yahoo Sports is great at giving you information you want to know without overwhelming you.
I really have enjoyed using it so far and will continue to use it.
AD FREE VERSION 1/5
By H-D # 1
Why can't I purchase an ad free version?!?!?!
So sick and tired of the BS ads on this app.
Not only are the ads annoying in the frequency of their appearance and redundancy, most of the ads are so irrelevant to sports.
Please provide a ad free version NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
One of my favorite apps 5/5
My favorite sports app. Use it a gazillion times a day. Always up to date and love my alerts on my iPad. Can't live without it. Tried other sports app and can't compare with this one. Thanks yahoo!
Break it/ Fix it ... repeat 1/5
When it works it's great. Then they break it again. Just sick of Yahoo!'s crap. Currently videos auto play no matter what video settings you choose. Worked fine a week ago. Nice surprise to have my phone blaring some talking head doing his best overexcited sports guy impersonation at full volume in public. Really makes me want to use your app. Never know what's going to **** up next. It's not really a Sports app unless you are all tensed up ready to kill the app at any second should it decide to start blasting bad sportscasters screaming out some highlights. All good apps make you tense and jittery while using them in public.
Great app 5/5
By Gabe Relyea
Easy to use
Great Sports App 5/5
I have used this app for several years. Very happy with it.
Great App 5/5
This is the best sports app out there! I use it several times a day! This is my favorite app.
A great app to keep up with sports! 5/5
I use this app to keep informed from everything from men's college basketball, to Champions League football in Europe, to African Nations Cup, to baseball scores.
Some features don't work 2/5
Can't change game alerts in the settings it just shows a blank screen. Then when you go back one screen from that theres no way to get back to any other part of the app so you are forced to restart the app. I would like if I could just go into a specific game and choose to activate alerts for that particular game.
Easy to navigate, easy to follow 5/5
No hassle information with all the alleys for pursuing more depth. I appreciate the stable displays without "jiggling" additions of ads, or whatever is being introduced to the pages we are reading. That alone is worth five stars. But the ease of getting current info is what makes this app supurb
Can't see touchdown 1/5
Can't see scoring plays when clicking on a NFL game.
Get it get it now. 5/5
I love the ease of getting notified per game or per team or per sport.
Complete Crap! 1/5
Run it next to the ESPN app and you will see how slow it is. Pathetic!
Customer service is even worse thane the app.
Daily user 5/5
Great app, daily user for years, have tried many others, always back to this one.
Works for me 5/5
So far. So good. I don't use it much except to track a few games. But for that it exceeds my expectations.
Simple interface. Still haven't explored all the options.
Some oddities 5/5
Love the Yahoo sports app, for the most part. One of the only apps I've used that functions better on my iPhone than on iPad. And it's frustrating that the app just won't remember my edits, it always reverts to showing sports that I want removed.
My Favorite sports app 4/5
Try it. I've been using this app for a long time. It's the only one I use. If you're looking for a way to keep track your sports team, this one is simple and effective.
Works great. 4/5
Older Version Was Better 4/5
By Ingmar Svenson
Works well and easy to get info, but it's slightly less convenient than the older version with the black aesthetic. Also needs World Cup support when that comes around.
Very convenient sports app 4/5
Still my favorite sports app. Where's Boxing???
Top notch 5/5
good updates and lets you select your favorite teams for available sports. also tracks lines, over/unders for those interested.
Not perfect, but close 5/5
By Max Benasty
Could be refined in some small ways (the ones that come to mind right now are more customizable notifications, and for some reason Games Played is the first column in NHL standings, W-L should obviously be first), but it's by far the best option out there.
