Useless news 1/5
The news feed is useless, especially having it under your dining hall location.
1. I can get general health news (or even Sodexo news) elsewhere
2. If someone wants the news section, why not open up to the dining hall menu first instead of always opening up to the news section and having to switch to the menu every time you open the app?
Not Connecting to Fitbit Anymore. 3/5
The new update is beautiful, not sure why it was needed but it’s pretty all the same. However, once I updated I had to re enter some information again. The app also disconnected from my Fitbit app and will not let me connect to it again. It’s frustrating. I eat at my university’s cafeteria a lot so it’s nice to just automatically log food from the app. This needs to be fixed right away.
No menu???? 1/5
Literally the entire reason I downloaded this was to see the menus and now the menu button has completely disappeared from the app. It should be up at the top- I think- but it simply doesn’t exist.
A child could make a better app 1/5
Literally impossible to use. Hate it. Impossible to simply find the menus. All I wanna see is what is on the menu but instead I get all this crap about mindful options and healthy lifestyles. Guess what? I don’t care about this just show me the menu. Terrible, just like the food served by Sodexo
Can’t see menu for my school 1/5
By Commander Cody2224
Can’t see the menu at all anywhere on the app for my school. Very frustrating. Awful app.
Update ruined it 1/5
I can’t figure out where the view my schools menu since the update. Help! It says my school at the bottom.
Needs a lot of work 1/5
It needs a lot of work
Much better 5/5
By byc ct
App went through a period where it crashed - that seems fixed - quality of the menus is much higher
Nothing on this app is correct
So Buggy 4/5
Edit: The bug noted below was fixed with Version 2.5. Rating upgraded.
This app is somewhat useful when it works. I especially like porting meals over to Fitbit. But it’s always been buggy. For months it used to crash on startup. That seems to have been resolved. Currently the app freezes whenever you select a specific menu item (iOS 11.2). It’s been this way for well over a month. Sodexo needs to devote some resources to updating this app, or just remove it from the store.
Would be nice 1/5
By Huh of
This would be a great app to use where I work because I could plan my meals out for the week but it crashes or freezes up every time I use it so it’s pretty much unusable. I will keep it for an update but after that it’s going to trash. Love the fact that you can set the perimeters to only show foods with certain number of calories or filter out mindful items but can’t really use it with the continually crashing and freezing.
Not worth time 1/5
Menus for my institute are always inaccurate, at best, and are frequently out of date or not available. Further, the app provides no support portal.
Way too many crashes.. i can never review my food or log it to my fitbit.
No menu 1/5
Daily menus are not showing big up.
Why Bother? 1/5
Second week in a row with no menu. Isn’t a menu the whole point of the app?
Almost mediocre 2/5
I use this app for one purpose and one purpose only: to check what’s on the menu at my campus dining halls. Sounds simple, right? It’s not.
You’ve got to open the app, search for nearby dining halls (which takes forever), tap the dining hall you want, tap “My Menus,” then tap the dining hall menu, and then you can finally see what’s for lunch.
THIS PROCESS TAKES FAR TOO MANY STEPS. Oh—and want to see what another dining hall is offering? Gotta do the whole thing again. Including the slow “search for nearby dining halls” part.
So to make this app better it needs:
+ a way to save or favorite dining halls
+ a faster way to view menus
+ not crash when you try and open it (happens frequently)
Once you go through the elaborate process of dining the menu you’re looking for, you will see options to narrow down the results for allergies or are following a certain diet, but my gosh is the process long and slow.
Honestly, just using the website is better, which kind of defeats the purpose of the app.
So it’s almost mediocre. The design has gotten huge improvements. I guess it’s nice there is no longer a code. But the experience could use huge improvements and the design could benefit from further refinements.
Stick to the online menus for now. This app isn’t worth it yet.
Very frustrating 1/5
This app is very frustrating. Way too many steps to just find out the hours of the cafeteria on a Friday night. The web was 10 times faster. Poorly designed app
Crap of an app
No good 1/5
Stuck on an old date. Won't move on. Dissatisfied.
Can you get it right? 1/5
By Lily Loohoo
Is it possible to have things labeled properly with the correct ingredients and nutrients? There is literally VG (vegan) next to two items on the example menu that have eggs in the name. Eggs don't grow on trees! Oh and the serving for quinoa isn't over 500g (two cups)
Get it together
need improve 3/5
As stated above
Functional, but annoying 3/5
By Mystic Kirby
It's good for what it's supposed to do, which is present you the available meals for a particular day. However, it has much more room for improvement. The schedules listing lunch/dinner/etc. times don't play nicely with small screens, and cut off the titles. Moreover, opening a menu doesn't always open up to the current day's menu, a significant annoyance. There's also no way to collapse the Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner headers, so you have to scroll all the way down to get to the dinner menu.
It could use some more features, as well. A function to log a meal into MyFitnessPlan would be excellent, and would keep me using the app a lot more. But as it stands, it's only good as a quick look at the menu.
It crashes when attempting to connect to Fitbit. Please fix.
Depends on your institution 5/5
I go to Colorado Christian University and the app works beautifully. I imagine that's because CCU puts emphasis on it whereas other places may not. My menus are available 5 days in advance and I have had no bugs so far.
In the know 5/5
By Princess Brooke Mae
It's great to be in the know about what my options are for on-campus dining. The app is accessible and helpful!
Don't bother 1/5
When it works it is a nice app. The problem is it does not work very often.
Needs to interface with Apple Health 2/5
Ok app. Nice to be able to enter food info via barcode. Needs to interface with Apple Health.
Not reliable 2/5
By N. Kenney
This would be a great app, if it provided correct information consistently...but it does not.
Why can't you save menus? 3/5
By Hollie Bryan
I work at a major employer and we have 8 places to eat meaning 8 different menus. I have to individually go into each menu to view it. I wish I could save all the locations and be able to view their menus everyday instead of having to go into each individual one.
Ok but not great 3/5
I really wish it would update to the current day instead of the last day I used the app. Maybe some people want to keep reliving the same menu but I would find accurate and current info more helpful. Also it would be nice if the various sections could collapse so I can scroll to what i need more quickly. After breakfast is over that section could collapse and those who need it would have it available.
Really like it.
Great, when it works, that is. 2/5
By H20 queen
I started using this app to stay on track with calories when eating in my work place cafeteria. It worked for a little bit, but noticed lots of crashes and just wasn't working. I loved it in the beginning. Please correct these issues!!
Some parts I thought were click able weren't 3/5
Content is highly dependent on local facility support of the app .
Good stuff 5/5
It's a very helpfull app
New features only distract 3/5
When I can get this app to actually open without immediately crashing ten or fifteen times in a row it still takes two more clicks to get to the sole reason I use this app in the first place. Use to save my place so i could just open the app right to the menu. Now it loads some random fitness and health splash screen that doesnt help me much at all.
But I wont knock it too hard, its info is updated quickly and it has saved my cafeteria this long. It would be better if there was a place with the cafeteria's operation hours? But if cafeterias can't provide that info that's really not the app's fault. Also the menu is no longer structured by type, its back to the time of day which I really appreciate. You can click on items and find nutritional information too. Not a bad application. Needs some work to get it to start and maybe make the default menu the cafeteria selection screen?
The new update is terrible 1/5
Have the ability to show all menus at your location and the times they are open like in previous versions. New version is a hassle
Getting better! 2/5
Grateful that the menus now have been separated by breakfast, lunch and dinner. Next can we be able to have more then one menu available? It's a hassle having to look up every dining hall location. Also!! The menu dates are erased way too early! Fix this!
How can it continue to get worse?!?! 1/5
At least the meal periods were brought back, allowing me to see if there's anything vegetarian at my campus dining halls during different meal periods. However, the days menu stops being shown at 8pm, which is still dinner hours and 7 hours before the dining hall closes for the day.
During that 7 hours I have no idea what is being served or if there is even anything nutritious that I can eat while following my strictly vegetarian diet. If my dining halls are open past 8pm, the menu should still be shown, especially for college students like myself who are stuck in class until 8:30 or later every single night.
By I love it, legit.
Thank you for adding which meal things are for
Meals are separated again which makes everything 100 times easier.
Just Bad 1/5
Horrible update. My favorites are gone. The scanner is gone. I have to do multiple taps to get to the menu and it is rarely correct The menu doesn't default to the current date so I have to change that, too. You have made this app unusable.
Terrible Update 1/5
By Gonzaga Student
I use bite to check the menu for the cafeteria at Gonzaga university (the cog) but the update is terrible and bite is never right anyway.
I want the app to open right to the cog instead of me having to click a bunch of times to reach the menu. Then the menu set up needs to go back to how it used to be. PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK. I don't use bite anymore because I hate the update.
Thank you 4/5
Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner separators have been added back in, making this app useful again. Thank you.
The only other issue is that for some reason my university is listed three times, and all the eating places should be really consolidated into one so I don't have to keep changing locations.
Update is horrific 1/5
I don't understand why this app was updated this way. Meals are not separated, and I can't tell what is being served for what meal. Things are repeated multiple times. I am utterly confused by this update. It's difficult to navigate. FIX IT
Horrible update. 1/5
I hate this app now that it has been "updated." The menu doesn't separate breakfast, lunch, and dinner, making it impossible to know what is going to be served at different meal times. The menu also doesn't match our dining hall's website. It is harder to navigate now and frequently kicks me out of the menu when I'm trying to look at it. Lists several of the same items more than once. This is a complete waste of space on my phone, I won't be using it anymore.
Zero Stars! Used to be good enough... 1/5
Sodexo!! What have you done? I only need this app to tell when the dining center is open and I can't even do that anymore?! You frickin broke a half decent app... and you know what? I can tell myself what is a mindful choice to eat - I don't need your help with everything thank you very much.
Nice try 1/5
The update looks better, that's about it though. Now to view the seperate dining halls at my college I have to go back and change the location everytime. I can't tell what's breakfast, lunch, or dinner, it's just confusing. Used to love this app it was so useful, but I'ma probably just delete it now. Based on the other reviews I think everyone liked the old version.
Please go back to last version 1/5
The app now is useless
