    I can’t apply for anything because I don’t have enough credits, but when will the needing credits actually end. I’m not forking out $25 when I need 1 credit to apply for a job less than a mile from me.

    $79 for 3 months? When you finally find someone it’s $59 for a basic background check. You get charged whether or not they accept to do the background check. If you have deep pockets and don’t mind having potential sitters hang up on you or ignore your messages, be my guest.

    Care.com recently started blocking messages with phone numbers. So you cannot contact the Caregiver directly to discuss the job or set up an interview. This causes a lot of problems because your calls don’t go through. It is also frustrating for the job seeker and you as the advertiser because your call get linked to a care.com. They say this is all in privacy. I am willing to opt out of their B/S. This is not the case. Please don’t join because you will be frustrated.

    This used to be an amazing resource. Now you need to pay to get messages on both ends. Attempts to spam and trick you into upgrading. So incredibly disappointing.

    Used to be a decent app but after the update it made it harder to find jobs. It used to be really easy. They had categories to choose from like date night, caregivers etc but that went away with the update and all jobs are mixed together and it’s just a big pain.

    I’ve used Care.com since 2013 finding jobs I have truly enjoyed. Care has continually updated and fixed their app so that privacy is given. Would recommend the site to anyone who is serious about finding a job.

    Have not been using and didn’t realize i was getting charged every month for a crappy service I’m not even using. *update - trying to use the app on iPhone X and if I open a review to read it, it won’t let me close it. I have to close the whole app.

    I’ve enjoyed using the care.com app as a great resource to connect with caregivers and have quick access to my account. I had some minor tech glitches with it when I initially started so that’s why it’s not five stars.

    I am a really good nanny looking for a family, I had to pay the premium, and even then I can not contact the families, I have an excellent profile but I believe they block the messages if you do not pay for the premium! ridiculous

    Well, I have had nothing but problems with Care.Com. First my Profile says I’m a babysitter which I’m not. I’m a Professional Home Care Aide. I’m unable to delete this out of my Profile or make any corrections to Profile. Very disappointed in site. Care.Come should have live person to speak with not some robo email that sends you a link to go to. Disappointed!!!

    Most of the messages I receive are spam, but you are still penalized if you don’t respond within 24 hours to the spammer. I wish they did a better job of vetting people that use the service. Probably one in five messages is a real job, the rest are scammers.

    I’ve used for years it improves along the way and I would recommend to anyone. Families have contacted me over the years and I’ve been able to help either part-time or full-time. I enjoy everything I’m able to do to help and always willing to assist someone else if they’re willing to need part time on weekends so I wish everyone else the type of luck I have had. Thank you

    Trying to get started as a care giver was very frustrating. I had to make an account 3 times because the previous ones wouldn’t allow me log back in my account. Lots of verification was required which only made things more complicated. I wasted so much time. I tried to email my troubles but I couldn’t even do that because the website wouldn’t let me!

    Paid $90 for 3 months and cannot exchange numbers thru the app! You can only chat in the app. Most babysitters listed never reply. One called me thru the app after reading my message while driving on the highway! I tried posting my own jobs and received tons of prewritten applications and the ZERO applicants responded for an interview. Without being able to exchange contact information it is impossible to communicate. Huge waste of money, not cheap, and frustrating waste of time

    The app shows star ratings for applicants in the list of applicants, but when you click on the applicants’ profiles, the ratings do not match. Also, when I favorite or decline an applicant, it often takes days to update to show that I have favorited or declined someone in my list.

    Whoever came up with this “subscription model” was just not thinking about the users. This app claims they have a free, basic version, but I quickly discovered this app is unusable unless you pay a high monthly fee. So basically you create a listing (if looking for care) OR you put in application to a listed job (if looking to be hired). That is what you can do for free. Once an application is received, neither party can chat or accept a job unless one side of the transaction pays for premium. So in my case of looking for someone to watch my cats, I cannot hire the people who have applied because neither of us pay. I am definitely not paying for this because you force me into it. I will take my business elsewhere. If you had made it where I could chat and hire my first job free as a trial and have me gain trust, then I would consider a subscription. Reconsider your greedy priorities and monetize your business in a way that doesn’t screw your customers over. Hire UX designers or something because this current model is absolutely TERRIBLE.

    There are so many apps that do what this one should, they really don’t need to reinvent the wheel here. But pages don’t load, messages aren’t stored in logical locations or order, and a person’s rating can be one thing in your messages and entirely different (or nonexistent) on their profile. The website has lots of issues too so clearly they don’t offer competitive salaries for their IT positions. I might need to ditch them for their competitor because it’s so annoying that they can’t fix any of this despite all their update pushes.

    I find it incredibly ridiculous that I have to pay way too much for just a one month subscription just for families to be able to respond to my messages. I especially dislike that I can only get ‘three’ messages that can receive replies before I have to pay for any more. And in reality, I only got two messages that could be replied to. I honestly used to love this app. Now I just hate it because it’s become more of a money scam than anything. And you can’t provide your number to families because of “privacy” matters, but really, they just want to make money off the fact that you can only have contact if you pay. LAME!!!

    They tell you that a subscription comes with “access to” security features. What they really mean is that if you pay the monthly subscription, you have access to purchase background checks. Even if the provider’s background check is already on file - they are asking $65 (on top of the $80 I just paid for membership) to view it. I could have found someone on Facebook and bought my own background check online for far less than $145 - which is exactly what I will do next time!

    We were trying to locate a part time child care provider for our daughter and thought we would give care.com a shot. First problem, $40-55 per month??? This is beyond ridiculous for what you get. The app has many glitches, from just plain crashing to being unable to see what you are typing in certain areas. On top of that is has very few features that it should at this price. When trying to post a job, you only have a minimal amount of preferences (has own car, non smoker, and something else). There needs to be so many more options. Now I see that the caregivers are also charged a similar amount??? This is awful to say the least. If you’re going to charge for your service, it should be one end or the other. Take a tip from services like thumbtack or home advisor and charge one side and stop being greedy.

    I’ve had many issues with this website and app for so long. I’ve had to make multiple accounts because you cannot change your occupation or at least not on the app. It’s frustrating to use. After emailing the support staff for days, I get no helpful responses. Finally am able to log into an account I never completed because it kept telling me my address was a fake one. Any address I typed it was apparently fake to them. Ridiculous. THEN after I started applying to jobs available, I have to PAY to even read a response if I got any. Are you kidding me? Complete waste of time. Never using the app again. Deleting the app right after this review. Can’t even delete my account because there’s no option to on the mobile app. I have to use a computer, it’s not like everyone has one.

    The app constantly closes while in the middle of checking messages or tiring to schedule appointments. I also experienced similar problems on the computer where it did not recognize valid addresses when scheduling in person interviews. I will close my account after I complete this 1 month subscription. What trash! They try to push safety but charge for everything, concealing phone numbers so you are forced to communicate on their website. I was attempting to check references & the site continued to call the applicant. I had to ask the applicant to email references to my email address so I could check references. I called customer care and the lady continued to apologize with no attempts to solve the problems I was experiencing.

    This app works for applying to jobs, messaging parents and reading articles. It’s okay but it needs improvement; I only use it cause the page is worse. In the page you can’t apply for jobs, can’t change or update your profile info and can only withdraw money parents pay you if you have an account of a United States bank, even though the site can be used in other places like Puerto Rico.

    I can’t get passed uploading a video to my account. I already did all this stuff on my laptop when I set up my account so why is it making me do it all over again? And when I hit “skip” the app freezes and kicks me out and then when I open it it brings me back to “Create a Bio” I DONT NEED TO MAKE ONE AGAIN I ALREADY DID IT!!! I’m getting annoyed, fix please...

    If I could give -137 stars I would I dont think I have ever felt so unsafe on an account before and am in the process of deleting it! I signed up to be a pet sitter and I had emailed 2 people. The first person I emailed told me their background, about their dog, their family, and that I would be walking, feeding, and taking care of the dog. Then asked me to give my name, address, phone number, and zip code. I did not give them my address or zip code and told them it was for safety purposes, obviously. A few minutes later I received an email by the 2nd person I had talked to....their email to me had said the EXACT same thing the 1st one did just with different names and prices. I was immediately spooked and deleted all of the emails. I am glad I did not go through with spending a PENNY on this website!!

    I got this app in hopes to find a couple of side jobs...that was a joke. When I tried to message someone it told me I had to pay. I have never been able to find a job on this app, and the only messages I receive are from SPAM...very disappointed and frustrated with this app. I wish I could get my money back from my unused months, but I bet that wont happen.

    I can’t edit the text in my job posting in the app - the screen won’t scroll down so the keyboard covers all the text and it won’t save the changes to the listing. I get an error message.

    I’m 15 years old so there was not very many options as far as caregiving websites, considering the majority of them required users to be 18 years or older, so I decided to give Care.com a try. In the beginning, I loved it. I had all of my account set up just the way I wanted, and had already recognized a few different jobs that I was interested in. After a couple days of waiting, I heard from someone whom I had not applied to. I was glad to hear from an owner looking for help, but as I was about to schedule a phone call interview, their account had been suspended. I figured that it was a violation of their account that got them suspended, so I continued looking and moved on from that owner. I decided it was time to apply for some jobs, but then i ran across a problem. Apparently, you are required to pay Care.com for credits, if you don’t, you cannot apply for a job nor care you reply to messages. I did not particularly agree with this requirement, because I was trying to get a job, not pay someone else for theirs. I decided to uninstall the app, and continue looking for different jobs. Today, I received an email from Care.com saying I had a new message (I had forgot to actually shut down my entire account), so I decided to log back in and close it down. Before shutting down my account, I looked at 3 different messages i had received, all stating their name was Mariana moving from Florida, but each was a different account claiming there name was different from what their message had said. This reminded me of the previous message from the account that had been suspended, and I realized they had claimed their name was Mariana too and that they were supposedly moving from Florida as well. I looked at other reviews saying that they believed Care.com was a scam that sent fake messages to try and get you to pay to reply, and from my experience I would agree. Not only was this an odd experience, but it was also rather frightening. Hearing from 4 different accounts claiming they all had the same story makes you wonder who really was behind the screen!

    I would give 0 stars, but they won’t let me. I paid a lot of money to be get the background checks and I have only been bombarded with spam interview requests. It’s constant. It’s not hard to find people looking for someone to hire, but the spam texts, emails, and notifications are all day everyday. Care needs to figure out how to prevent these scammers. It could be dangerous. Not at all satisfied. Find babysitting jobs through word of mouth, don’t pay for this garbage-y app, unless you would like all of your inboxes flooded with hundreds of offers for you to walk someone’s golden retriever for $100/walk....seems pretty shady to me.

    I used to love this app, I’ve used it for years and I’ve found some of my best jobs through it. Now it seems that nannies must pay to upgrade in order to have any luck. It seems to have gone downhill fast. No thank you.
