Still...Hard to navigate in all respects: finding scores, adding fave teams, finding teams, you name it....still
Still...latest “enhancements” don’t display yesterday’s favorites’ scores all day today. PITA to have to navigate 2-3 screens to find them.

Another update and the Apple Watch complication still doesn’t update - it stays stuck on whatever the last score was when you last opened the ESPN Watch app. MLB app has it working if you want baseball scores. ESPN is too concerned with bells and whistles and not concerned with basic functionality.

I get that people will always complain about change and that it takes time to get used to something new, but that's not the problem here. This latest app update completely changes the whole point. Instead of a personalized experience full of good sports updates, you now get just a bunch of headlines - including way too much non-game stuff. I've stuck with ESPN a long time, but this time I will have to look for my sports information somewhere else.

Recently updated the app. It’s difficult to use, hard to find what you are looking for, and features what ESPN wants to feature instead of the favorites that you select.
Hate the video on top of home screen instead of selected favorite teams.

Update takes the personalized stuff I liked about the app for many years and pushes it aside for ads and pushing whats on their network, which I dont care for mostly if its the Whocares.com bowl or Yankees v Red Sox: NE bias strikes again.
ESPN+ is a decent concept but a total failure because you dont include WatchESPN with it. Include your full network programming (see WWE Network) and watch your product soar as I can have ESPN anywhere without an annoying cable sub and you got me. 5 bucks a month for ESPN would be awesome. You would print money, yet you didnt do that. Your Plus service has college softball games, Rugby and USL matches. Yeah. 5 bucks for that? For programming you cant even fit onto ESPN2? Is that supposed to be a joke? I saw that and said, that cant be it. They cant expect people to pay 5 bucks for games not one soul truly cares about thats not the players family. Yet here I was. Do the right thing... because that isnt the right thing.

The "new and improved" ESPN app is anything but. Difficult to navigate, rarely are my bookmarked teams at the top or front and center. I now have to click through various buttons just to find scores. We needed simplicity...ESPN provided complexity. Not a good look.

Feels like every time they revamp the app, it just gets worse. This app used to be great for what I wanted, a quick way to see scores and news. The home screen is just a jumbled mess now. It’s fine if they want to try innovate things but it is no longer the simple and useful app that it was when I downloaded it originally.

I have the Dodgers as my mlb sports team but after scrolling through content i do not care about like other mlb team games i have to literally go to the sports tab and select the Dodgers to see the score of the game which is currently playing. Id understand if the dodgers weren't playing but they are.

Way to trash one of my favorite and most used apps. Sad days.
I don’t have speed issues. But what’s the point of having “favorite” teams if the news feed is 99% loaded with news from teams or sports I don’t care about? I used to get all my news and highlights in one place, it was so easy and convenient. I’m still getting used to the new website and I might still read espn from my desktop, but this app is just unusable.
And what the heck is up with espn’s Euro soccer coverage? The videos are 100% talking heads with literally ZERO video from actual games. What’s the point? And that’s not even why I’m quitting this app...
I think I’ll find a new sports news app and I’m reconsidering my insider subscription. Such a shame. This was a great thing. It was nice while it lasted. I guess there’s always some brainiac who thinks they know best and ends up killing the golden goose. Why don’t companies use common sense and think these things through first. Oh well, I’m sure they’re learn soon. After the damage is done.

Ever since the redesign this app takes forever to update. I don’t care how it looks, I want it to respond quickly. The Home Page is where I notice it the most. I don’t want to see old news and halftime scores from yesterday. ESPN, please fix the slow refresh time.

I like the idea of streaming games on my phone/tablet. But what the hell is the point of signing in with your home provider? Then what’s the $4.99 for? I thought the 4.99 meant liberty from having to sign in with cable provider. Nowadays most providers have standalone streaming services and it’s free! I don’t see the point in paying when I can get it for free.

This app was great until all of the changes made. I personally keep up with college baseball and before you could go to the app and go back to the previous day to check final scores or scroll forward to check upcoming games. Now you can’t do that and it is very frustrating.

A long overdue update that brings some nice improvements. Speed is up but could be better. The scores look better but tapping it should take you to an even bigger display (see the Score and GiveMeSports apps). The widget should also show news and there should be a dark theme. Overall, it's better than it has been in awhile.
Update: The 4/12 update was faster. This 4/13 update is slower. C'mon ESPN! Get it right!

Streaming and playback Video quality on LTE network is terrible for this app. I have other apps like “fox sports go” that have streaming video and playback video and the video comes in at HD quality on LTE network.

This used to be a decent APP that satisfied my immediate need for quick sports info. It’s sad that the need for greed has deemed it useless. I understand ad revenue, but this is overkill! Disney, please keep in mind that you do not need ad revenue if your APP is useless... I do not use the APP to peruse your ads!!!
