Customer service is awful. If you take promotional coupon your stay will not count towards free nights. You are not guaranteed the room you reserve. I reserved a king and got two double beds. I give it 1 star because it won’t let you give zero stars.

I booked a hotel through Expedia with a flight only to find out after wards of all the EXTRA fees for the room preventing me from staying another night so to such high cost now I get to stay at a beautiful hotel with a pool and a tub for a hole lot cheaper thank hotel .com

I wish the search profiles can be more specific . I also get random alerts showing hotel dates have been cancelled when In fact they have not.

So if you choose to pay later it means they send your credit card info to the hotel you reserved and if your identity gets stolen they are not responsible never again using Hotels.com
Good functionality but follow up too cluttered 4/5
I do love Hotels.com. Use it EVERY WEEK. I HAVE A FEW GRIPES:
1. Confirmation emails are just too cluttered. Anyone arriving in a new city to get to their hotel needs only this info:
Where is the hotel. Have I already paid. What room level do I have. The email links and ‘manage my bookings’ part of the app have links to maps that VERY often do not work, and have way too much small print and detail. Make it clear and simple.

Be very weary about booking any travel plans with this company. Hotels.com has the worst customer service I’ve ever had. Truly. No one has any power to resolve problems. I booked a hotel with credit card and gift card, and when I decided to cancel my booking as dates changed, I only received a refund on the credit card. No refund was ever received to the gift card. And despite pleas, tweets, calls, and chat messages, I couldn’t get them to resolve the problem.
Can’t get rid off this app 1/5
This app popped up on my coloring page on my Bible coloring page and I can’t get rid of it. By now I’m so frustrated that I would never use this app! I’ve even tried downloading it and it just took me right to the ad page. I then tried to sign back up onto my original app and it just took me right back to the ad page. The Bible coloring app is my favorite and now it seems it’s totally lost to me. Why can’t you be like the other ad pages and have an X to close the ad?
Believe me if I were looking for this kind of app I would definitely NOT use this one. Does anyone have any ideas?
Needs to work better when switching apps 3/5
If I have to switch apps while booking a room (I.e. going back and forth between banking app or texting — things I need to check when booking a room), i keep having to renter information on the checkout screen (names, special requests, coupon code, etc.). Very annoying.

This is the only app I use and have been for years when booking hotels. I always tried to stay at Marriott’s for the rewards but that wasn’t always an option and with Hotels.com you get a free night every time you stay 10 and it gives you a credit for the average amount spent over the 10 stays.

I have made three bookings with Hotels.com. Two of them do show up in My Bookings, but one doesn’t. Until I made the third booking, I was able to find the one that’s currently not showing by looking at Find My Booking. So, I’m unclear about the use of this App.

I sometimes need hotels when I travel because I am far away from my bed and I like to sleep in beds. Every time I use them, I end up getting somewhere to sleep and almost always that means a place with a bed. If you like to sleep in beds when traveling. Use hotels.com.

I booked a hotel that was less than satisfactory and customer service was extremely polite and quick with my refund. They even communicated to the hotel that I would be checking out early. App is easy enough to use after you mess around with it.

Untruthful, dishonest money grabbers. beware! Call the help desk and try to seek any kind of service or solution, it goes to a call center in El Salvador where the agent will get a “supervisor “ whom states the exact same script as agent and upon asking for his supervisor there isn’t any period. Meaning lawless, irresponsible, unprofessional methods are being maintained by this sort of agency.

Has issues 2/5
1. Does not put the cost of rooms from low to high even when that option is chosen.
2. Also infuriating that it does not give an option for signing in those all ready registered with hotels.com & populating basic info such as name and address etc. instead it does not offer the sign in , you have to type it each time & it asks you to choose a password but again, no sign in option!
3. I was typing a few lines in the special request section about my very late arrival & twice it refreshed and I had to start the entire form over !

Great choices of hotels with fair prices. Love the ability to organize all of our lodging for a trip in one place. Easy to make modifications or cancel. We book way in advance to get better prices and more room choices. Ability to cancel saves on travel insurance prices since we do not have to include lodging in insured amount.

When using app, the Rewards options and the Bookings option is not opening. When trying to refresh upcoming bookings, you get an error message “We could not retrieve your bookings. Please try again (3103)”.
When trying to view “Rewards”, its not loading.

Can’t delete cancelled bookings. Doesn’t always show current bookings. Doesn’t connect to the maps application for easy setup and navigation.

Trying to change a booking and add a night. Get a message stating that I can’t do that online but customer service would be happy to help. Click on customer service for a phone number and get a message bookings can be managed online now with no phone number option included. I went out to a search engine to Hotels.com rather than the app, got to a customer service number and just went around in circles with the automated answering service instead of just being able to talk to someone. Your customer service is woefully lacking.

Overall the app is not the most user friendly. Paperless is great but I need to print out a receipt to turn in to my employer with my experience report. That should be an easy option but I can’t figure out how to do it?
