User beware. It may not be honored and you may be charged if you cancel through the app even within the appropriate timeframe. We canceled at one hotel and booked with another hotel over two months in advance (policy was up to day before) but were charged for the original hotel and are told it that we must wait up to ten days to see if a refund is processed. The hotel had us as a no-show because the cancellation didn’t “push through” to the hotel. If not, then we have to handle directly with hotel and our bank. If we can’t cancel with the app then don’t offer that option! Also selected two queen beds on the app for the second hotel but was given a king. That hotel stated it was an error on the hotels.com end. We ended up having to find another hotel at the last minute after an 8 hour drive with two cranky tired toddlers. After wasting time on the line with customer service trying to fix both issues, we will never use hotels.com and/or the app and will book directly with the hotels from now on.

The hours I spent on the phone and the stress it caused me to make any changes in my reservations without having to pay twice as much. I finally only had one more night to book to get my free one and I couldn’t do it. Saving a few bucks on one hotel night was not worth the anger, time and frustration that I had to go through on numerous occasions... on the phone for 2 hours at a time on vacation... a few times, being told that I could no longer have my original booking without paying twice as much... extremely frustrating.

I’m concerned because I made an online reservation for a Superior Rm and never received a confirmation email or number (I made this as Mr and Mrs Wes Larson), so I signed in again and made another reservation under just Wesley Larson and it went through, however, I was only given the option of a Comfort Rm. I’m hoping this will not result in a double booking for which I’ll be charged. We would prefer a Superior Rm with a city view please.

The two times I used this app I had a seemingly great deals
but when I showed up at the hotels both times they did not have a room of the type I reserved and could not accommodate me. Completely unacceptable.

The whole reason I wanted the app was to keep track of my current bookings, especially the easily forgotten details like confirmation numbers, but the app requires the confirmation number to locate a booking. If I already have the confirmation number though I presumably have everything else too. Why do I even need the app. If you are already logged in to your acct through your associated email, the app should already know all of my current bookings so why can’t it just show them? Then I could choose the one I want and it would show all the details of that booking. Having to provide the details first defeats the purpose of even having the app.

I would be ashamed to have my name related to the hotel I booked. It was absolutely disgusting and I couldn’t even stay at the Travelodge by Wyndham in Pocatello ID. It was filthy, run down, unsafe, smelled, & nothing worked. They night desk clerk was worthless and uninterested in see to my needs. I couldn’t even stay in the room it was in such disrepair.

Love last minute deals for an amazing resort... the kids are going to be so surprised! They are in the back seat and think the end of our 7hr drive will end in a tent. Little do they know they will get a luxury room, hot spring pool, and a 5 story high 350’ water slide!

The hotel ratings are all over the place and it is important to read reviews. It is hassle to write reviews as they don’t load and is probably why the ratings are not accurate. Also it takes 32 days to get your free stay if you don’t pay in advance which then becomes a hassle to get your money refunded in order to change plans as needed. Example: traveling 3 weeks, every night a stay but none will be free although at least 10 if not most have cleared my bank. If your ratings don’t work and your can’t count on reviews then this site doesn’t work. Won’t use again.

Useless. Spent like an hour to find out how to see your reserved bookings and such. I use a face recognition phone do no one else can access my phone. Still this app acts as if it was attached to a public advertising wall. Very disappointed.

Wanted to reach Hotels.com to review a place we booked there. The only hotel of 6 we stayed at in Italy that was a dump and the only one we weren’t offered a review. No way to reach them. Also tried to apply a “free night” code and it wouldn’t work.

I’ve been a Hotels.com member since 2015. I’ve always found great deals and they show pretty much every hotel in the area that I am looking in. I highly recommend them. They also have great benefits and offer free nights.

The app doesn’t give you the option to contact someone in customer service. It refers you to cancel a booking in the app but no option for emailing or calling the company.

Only two stars because of two things. They won’t let the app connect to their server using a vpn. Very baddd. They want us to disable our protection to use the app.
Second, it seems that these guys book for foreign owners. Ran into a belligerent and rude one using this app and he verbally assaulted me. He almost didnt get to see the sun set. I was that upset. He was immediately rude and treated me as though he was doing me a favor at the front counter. He was a punk. Red Roof in. Springfield, MO. I filed a complaint with hotel dot com and cancelled the deal. They also acknowledged the cancellation and promptly refunded my money but for some reason they still thought I stayed at the Hotel. I was happy with their service until I got the notice that they still showed me staying there after I cancelled. So I’m confused. I did not stay there as I might have regretted it. So??

Don’t try to call Hotel.com with a question, concern or a problem...there is no phone number. The app has a phone icon that is unresponsive. Good luck keeping your customers.

I accidentally booked for the wrong date and contacted the property immediately and hotels.com cust serv as well and they flat out told me they couldn’t do anything ended up paying $150 for a room book by accident so mad
