    This app fails at launch. Takes an extremely long time to get the tv information to pair and won’t remember the pairing on the next launch. Why the heck not? Epic fail in design. Won’t turn the TV on! Another fail in a critical function! Won’t pair when the TV is off. Again, epic fail!!! Why even have an app if the app is so limited, so slow, so inadequate? Design flaws in TV’s as well? Still missing some of the buttons on the remote and some are hidden screen within screen.

    You have to “forget” the WIFI connection on the TV and re-connect EVERY TIME you want the app to work! Come on, LG. You know better!

    This app works well, but the biggest downfall is if you turn off the tv on the mobile app, you have to then turn it on using the regular remote. Making it pointless to use *reaches for remote*

    The app uses SSDP for TV discovery, which uses a site local multicast address. Unfortunately LG has set an IP TTL of 1 in packets, so you can’t cross a router boundary (thus essentially making the change from site local to link local). Setting a low TTL is a good idea, but 1 is a little extreme. I could live with 2, but 5-10 seems reasonable. As it stands now, the app is completely unusable for me.

    Latest update makes the app unusable. I can no longer have a connection that last longer than 30 seconds on my late 2014 LG WebOS TV. Please send me the old app please. Worked great for me.

    Pretty useful but needs an update where you can power on your tv with just the app, instead of having to turn it on by an actual remote. Then using the app to navigate.

    The GUI and actual hit points don’t seem to be lining up or aren’t very big, as this latest update has made it VERY hard to hit the right spots to change volume and channels. The look and feel of this new version is AWESOME, but the difficulty of changing volume & channel makes it hard to use.

    This new version constantly disconnects from my LG 65UB9500-UA. I have paired and unpaired my iPhone 6S Plus and every time it disconnects ~30 seconds. I have also used another iPhone 6S with the same results. I hope there is a fix coming.

    Frustrating. Dropouts. Trackpad can’t scroll down or up. Trackpad small. Scroll on that tiny vertical line. Could do much better. Switch button between the two controller modes sometimes unresponsive. Not hoping but still hoping for improvement. Thanks. I gave it a 3 because I do like everything else that’s working. The idea of it itself is good.

    I think it’s bs that I spend good money on LG products and none of it works w my iPhone or it’s apps. Tech is pretty good these days there’s no reason this shouldn’t work. Just remember ur losing customers because of this. In the past two months I’ve bought 2 TVs (55 and 50 inch)and a sound system that were LG for my rentals and at this point I will not be buying ur products.

    This update broke the app. Will no longer stay connected to the TV for than a minute. App often crashes. “Touchpad” remote feature is now laggy to the point of being unusable.

    Really upset that my 2017 model was dropped from support and did not get WebOS 4.0 or 4.5. Why can’t LG support their TVs for longer than a year? I literally bought the TV in December for Christmas and within 6 months it was dead in the water. Thankfully SmartTVs are a gimmick and I can just use an Apple TV but still, when we gotta deal with the interface for the life of the tv it would be nice to have the new updates. It’s ridiculous we pay so much and then it’s basically dropped from support within 12 months. These are TVs, not smartphones. No one is going out and getting a new TV yearly

    Before the update the other day the app worked a lot better and responsive. The updated version is not as responsive. I use the app everyday for the last year and a half I definitely noticed the difference.

    When the app wants to work it’s great. Don’t have to wake up my wife while digging through the covers to find the remote. But it truly only works 1/3 times or so. I constantly have to close the app and reopen to connect to the tv. Happened less with the older version of the app. Whatever you guys did when you changed the layout really ruined the quality of the app.

    You can no longer select TV apps from within the phone. You can no longer turn off the TVs power from the phone. Still have not added in ability to turn TV on with your phone. They'd probably like to claim that the TV simply does not support it, however there are third party paid apps that do turn the TV on with no issue. I honestly wonder if neutering the phone app is LG's ploy to get people to buy the expensive "magic remote" they designed septate from the pack-in remote for some reason. Reviewed on LG 43uk6300pue

    - LG 'smart' TVs sold in Japan can only use Japanese language for system menus, etc. It is 2019 at the time of this writing.. smart devices should ship with many languages available. - The remote app UI is pretty bad and actually got worse in the latest update. The 'TV Menu' button is now even cut off at the bottom - clearly they are not testing on all device screen sizes.

    Worked okay before the latest update, occasionally there were problems and wouldn’t stay connected as a background app but since the update it freezes up, shuts down, restarts all on its own. Nothing but problems.
