I have been able to track my health statistics over the past few years using this app. It has been very helpful to track my progress with my blood pressure and my cholesterol. For someone who doesn’t have problems with certain types of statistics I can just imagine how helpful it would be for someone who does need to accurately track their health information.

Honestly, I can book a vacation in Mexico, go to clinic, have my concern resolved, and travel home while waiting for an appointment to become available for any specialist. It’s as convenient and helpful as having no coverage at all.

App is not accessible for visually impaired individuals 1/5
My company switched to CIGNA for the 2019 fiscal year. The app I am forced to use is in accessible. I am visually impaired with a visual acuity of 20/400. Are use voiceover screen reader on my iPhone. The app is not useful to an individual such as myself. I find this ironic since CIGNA is a health insurance company. And the loss of vision is a medical issue.
Could you please fix the app so that I can have access to the benefits of my sighted coworkers?

I’m sitting here in Urgent Care with a broken foot and before I can get help, I have to present my insurance card. I can’t log in right away because I am FORCED to update the app before I can do so, forcing me to wait in Urgent Care with a broken foot. Complete BS.

I like being able to search for providers so easily, but I’m not able to see what is available with my plan. I called Cigna and they said I should be able to see my co-pay with my plan on each provider, but it’s not there! Also, when I’m moving around the app and I go back to the main page, I’m not able to push any of the big buttons, just the buttons on the bottom row work. I close out and start again and it works the one time, then I go back to main page and the big buttons won’t push.
If these issues were fixed, it would have a 5star from me.

Overall I like the app and I frequently use it for claims info (already submitted claims) and HSA account status before paying bills.
It says in advertisements on the myCignahealthbenefits.com/en/cignahealthbenefitsapp site that you can submit claims and view your ID cards.
1. I confirmed today that you can’t submit claims on the app. You have to do it through mycigna.com via a browser.
2. The “cards” info is very basic and was confusing to my doctors office. I wish the cards Info that showed up was literally a screenshot of your actual cards info, front and back! Information that is vital, such as numbers to call and other clearly identified information (group#) is either missing or not presented as clearly as it would be on your printed card. This seems like a super easy fix for them to input, so hopefully that shows up in the next version update!

I think the overall usability and feature set of this app is solid and actually excels in certain areas - namely in terms of simplicity and being intuitive to navigate. The only issue I have is that I’m using my iPad Pro and have to work with the iphone-sized user interface... certainly not an issue in terms of usability and I’m sure most wont even notice this. I do expect, however, a company as large and with as deep of pockets/resources to be at the forefront of said technology and form factors. I can look past such oversights with small, independent developers but Cigna? Judging by the number of apps you’ve got on the App Store, I can only assume you’ve got plenty of talented devs at your disposal. Ensure you’re delivering a best-in-class user experience for all form factors and I’ll gladly change my review accordingly. All minor griping aside, nice job on this one. Keep up the good work.

I have tried several times to send my daughter’s ID card via email to my fiancé and have had no success. I have even called the support line and they were no real help either.

So every time I login using my Face ID it stays stuck at the Cigna logo. If I close the app and manually just enter my password to login it’s fine....

Provider list is way out of date 2/5
The app is ok. It has been annoying and time consuming when I am trying to find in network specialists and the app has a list of 25 near me...I make my way through the list calling most of them and many of them have moved, are no longer in practice or not accepting CIGNA. The list is very outdated. This has happened to me on multiple occasions with many different specialists and it’s frustrating.

This is a fairly decent app, however the one thing that it does not come with(or appear not to) is a bill pay option. One would thing Cigna would want to feature such a thing because, after all, our payments keep Cigna in business. If this were something that were to be featured, I’d gladly pick this app back up.
