Facebook ownes Onavo 1/5
Anyone writing a review saying otherwise is either a Facebook employee or has not taken 5min to actually google this company. Several legit sources all confirming this company is feeding our info search data right to the evil empire itself.

Made by Facebook - a company not known for privacy. So, I suggest you stay away. FAR AWAY.
Spyware by Facebook 1/5
Facebook owns Onavo and uses it to collect application and browsing use information. The fact that they don’t make it clear that it is owned by Facebook should make you very worry.

That’s really great 👍
onavo is a great thing! 5/5
onavo is so great!
Social engineering is not appreciated 3/5
VPN is a vital piece of the security system. We pass all sorts of personal and private information through mobile devices. Keeping it away from bad people is critical. I like having VPN on my phone. That said, Onavo Protect is not ideal. You have to open the app and dig a little to turn it off, even though there’s a VPN switch in Settings- which Onavo Protect overrides. Considering it also works as spyware for Facebook, I guess that bit of social engineering should be expected.
Wow perfect 5/5
i’m iranian and this app a best vpn in my mobile thank u
I agree with above 1/5
This is very underhanded and exactly what I would expect from, face—-k and there evil entities they obscured but still have invasion of personal protection and pursuit of our own thoughts and feelings about what we choose.
Be afraid be very afraid and then,GET MAD AND WORK TO UNVAIL AND DE-BUG YOUR WHOLE LIFE FROM THE AGENDA#21
Facebook data mining 1/5
This VPN routes your traffic through servers controlled by Facebook which they specifically state they use to learn more about you. User beware.
Not good 1/5

This is Facebooks way of get information on all the types of apps yo use. Apple is doing the right thing by eliminating apps like this one.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ADDING THIS APP TO PROTECT. MY PRIVACY. FROM BUGS AND EVERY THING ELSE. THIS IS VERY SEREIOUS AND IMPORTANT TO ME. THANKS
Registration error 1/5
I am having trouble with registration error.
Facebook ruined Onavo. It’s shocking how Facebook turned a privacy app/VPN into a spyware app. A VPN is supposed to increase privacy. Onavo VPN collects all mobile traffic data, including which apps you use and websites you visit, monetizes that data and uses it to “improve Facebook.” Facebook’s data collection, including from people who don’t use Facebook such as myself, is one reason why I use a VPN.
Does not work at all in Qatar 1/5
This VPN worked well a month ago. Left the country of Qatar, and a few weeks later is cycles through connecting and disconnecting
don’t use Hong kong servers neither PRC servers. That’s unsafe with dictatorship regimes
Good but could use improvement 2/5
Can’t turn the vpn off under settings. You can swipe it off but it just turns back on automatically. You have to open the app itself and turn off the vpn. It’s not a huge deal but it’s just kinda of annoying and inconvenient.
Please.Add widget with rate of download and upload speed and make option to change country it make for me unwanted arabic country
Its a free vpn 4/5
If you trust facebook more than hackers and your isp, then it’s not too bad.
Thumbs up 5/5
Spyware for Facebook 1/5
Facebook is quite afraid of losing dominance in the publishing, data mining, and advertising business. They bought Onavo for one purpose: to identify popular app and web trends early to give Facebook a chance to buy popular companies or steal their popular features. As a user of this app, ALL of your web and app traffic will be analyzed by Facebook for this purpose.
Is the trade off worth it to use a free VPN? The only ‘protection’ this app offers is to obscure your unencrypted internet traffic from your ISP and other users on shared WiFi. Very few websites transmit logins, tokens, or keys unencrypted these days and the next WiFi standard will prevent users of the same access point from seeing each other’s traffic. iOS already offers fraudulent website warnings which makes the last feature of this app an unnecessary duplication.
Apple should change their developer agreement to ban the sort of data collection this app pursues.
Better then any other vpn 5/5
Free and fast!!
Doesn't work, leaks out your info 1/5

Attention 🚨🚨🚨 1/5
why would you let Facebook analyze all of your network traffic? 1/5
why would you let Facebook analyze all of your network traffic?
Supposedly Pandora radio doesn’t work in this country if you have this protection app on. Try turning it off in settings and it just pops right back on. I listen to my Pandora all the time, but if it won’t work because of this app... forget it I don’t want it!

I’m really tired of all the hate out there about you. I think your platform is absolutely helpful and very smart and useful I think this VPN is great. Thanks so much Facebook
Onavo Protect 1/5
I did not download this on my phone, it just showed up. When I have tried to turn it off it automatically turns back on. I did not add this to my phone but it is at the top of my phone next to the reception strength. It’s been there about a week. I want it off, sounds like FB bought it and they are tracking. I am very upset with FB already because of all the annoying advertising they have added and if you try to delete a site they want to know why. I’m tired of it.
Waste of time 1/5
I bought a surveillance camera that apparently came from China, the box that it came in was beat up. The camera is actually panoramic camera V380. So I was supposed to download this application, which never really finished downloading could just froze. I’m going to remove the application and send the camera back.
It keeps me from going to certain sites. 1/5
It blocks me from going to certain websites that I know 100% are safe. I could get on my laptop and load it but not my phone. Uninstalling
Facebook data collection tool 1/5
Be wary of free VPNs. This one is owned by Facebook to collect on its users, so it is literally the opposite of what a VPN is supposed to do. You can read more articles about it from Wall Street Journal, TechCrunch, and Wired.
? Humans can’t be trusted. 5/5
How can you be sure that this app isn’t just another virus upgrade. Or is that what they knew we would think. The snake that’s eating it’s own tale...

Steals every bit of information 1/5
By Bah bahahaha
Facebook owned vpn that steals every bit of data.
Privacy Concerns 1/5
Usually I skim over the terms of service, but early on in the fine print is a lot of information I found alarming. From what I can tell, this app wants to collect information about my iPhone, my location, apps I have installed and how I use them, websites I visit, etc.
Then I see it’s a Facebook company. A quick internet search brings up an article about their “controversial” VPN service. No thanks! I’ll go with a trusted VPN like TunnelBear instead.
