I have used the app for years but one of the upgrades made it completely worthless on my phone as I cannot get it to open. I have contacted customer support more times than I can remember to no avail, always told they are sending a ticket up the chain but never get a followup. Was even told there are many others with the same issue… so fix it!!! It has left a bad taste in my mouth for PayPal.

My payments to my vendors keep getting declined. Customer service is horrible. As much money as PayPal makes you think they would reinvest in their product but we can’t even get a real customer service line to help resolve issues. I was supposed to launch last week but because of the payment delays I’m going to have to push till Friday, “hopefully”, if I’m having this much trouble before my launch I can only imagine what will happen when I’m dealing with real customers.
I took a second and reviewed the comment section and all I see are 1 star reviews. PayPal can you please fix your platform that you don’t mind charging such a high % for?

PayPal is Holding My Small business Funds 1/5
As a startup business, my finds from Buy-Sell-Trade and my own sales were held by PayPal. I understand you need to protect the buyer, but this is hurting small business sellers big time. Had I known this, I would never have signed up for this as now my funds needed to run my business and order supplies are on hold. I’ve used PayPal for years now for business. It wasn’t until I got the business app that this happened. I will be deleting the app as soon as my funds are released.

PayPal is very easy to use, but I signed up because there was a promotion going on. The promotion was that if you invited a friend they and you would receive $10. Never got that money.

How does this company have a over a 4 star rating? It’s policy’s are terrible. It claims to be an international when it come to business transactions.. but when you use them to do business internationally…. they permanently limit your account and hold your funds for 180 days… See below.. the reviews are all complaints!! Very bad for your business. Id highly advise a different service.

I am electrician and I just wanted to get my clients other ways to pay the invoice so I complete a job for a customer and I invoice them and they choose to pay via PayPal which is fine PayPal charges me a fee to use their service again that is fine or where I have a problem is I have already completed the job it is 100% done and they pay via PayPal I still cannot collect my payments for 7 to 21 business days depending on how PayPal decide to pay out the invoice because PayPal is only structured for selling items online so I have to go into the payment and say that it’s already in the mail even though the job is already done and then I have to contact the customer and tell them to acknowledge that they received the item so if the customer takes time to acknowledge that or if they don’t ever acknowledge it in PayPal then what happens do I have to wait forever or is there a chance that I won’t even get paid so at the end of the day is it worth it for subcontractors to even use this service Any case I’m done using PayPal business unless I’m selling something online as a contractor I don’t believe this is a good platform to use you get charged to use their service and they make you wait to collect money that you should not have to wait for

I loved this app until recently. So quick and convenient for managing my accounts, especially while traveling.
Then they updated it and changed all the controls. Now it is impossible to transfer cash from my bank to my PayPal, or at least it is with the instructions provided by the help tab. Now the transfer function is one way, PayPal to bank, but not the other way.
Too bad they can’t leave well enough alone.

This business app does not let you update your business info. It will show your personal info (name, email, etc) on the app, but then when you send invoices, the invoice will have your business info on it. You will not be able to see the business info until AFTER you send the invoice. So if you need to change your business info, you have to do it in PayPal in a browser, which defeats the whole point of using the business app. So basically if you have frequent changes to your business info, this app is not for you. And if you don’t have frequent changes, keep in mind that you WON’T BE ABLE TO CHECK YOUR BUSINESS INFO until after you send the invoice. Additionally, customer service completely lacks knowledge of this app. If you call them about any problems, they will tell you to use PayPal in a browser because it should work there. I don’t know why PayPal bothered to release this app when even their customer agents are saying to not use it.

Impossible to correct a PayPal error in charging back my account for a return they received the funds from Overstock!!!! Have to again go to a Ups store to fax documents I already sent them!!!!! Now I cannot pay them on either Chrome Internet Explorer or my iPhone Their lack of any Value to their long term customers is a Direct Reflection of their lack of Integrity Honesty and true USA Values

As a business I need the money to keep moving, but PayPal holding my money hostage for 21 days simply as a precaution in case there would be some fraudulent activity is complete absurdity. Will be using another provider for using credit cards. Don’t bother even opening an account with PayPal

All-in-all I use this app somewhat frequently. Nonetheless I have constant issues in depositing my funds or receiving them. It started with a series of “extra” steps in order for me to have my acct working normally again. When before that I had never had any issues with it whatsoever.

I had an issue with a scammer on my store who claimed she didn’t get her package when the tracking showed she did, she filed for a return and actually got the package for free and the money as PayPal ruled in her favor and that’s because I forgot to put in the tracking number on the PayPal account. Once I added the tracking than called PayPal they reversed the ruling in my favor and explained how they will always protect their sellers from scammers like this and even gave me an additional $10 for the inconvenience . I love PayPal for that I’ll and will also use them no matter what I’m doing, I’m so glad I run my business with PayPal as my main account provider for payments.

My wife opened this account in my name without my knowledge in order to fund her online business. She passed away in April and is still getting orders through PayPal. They won’t close the account because she also took out a sizable PayPal business loan in my name which I only found out about after her passing. Meanwhile, orders keep coming in which I cannot fulfill so I wait for these people to file a claim and then issue them refunds. PLEASE CLOSE THIS ACCOUNT.

After 2yrs of use, they randomly decided that they needed documents and locked my account out with my money in it? I’ve submitted 3rounds of paperwork to them to meet their demands and they keep telling me things either don’t match (they’re all govt issues papers so….) or that they need more.
Convenient to get your money same day but they aren’t a company that values their users and treats you like a criminal whenever they feel like it.

#1 customer service is trash. #2 The service fees are ridiculous and trash. #3 The policy of holding your funds for up to 30 days is Traaaasssshhhh. People have small businesses and using platforms like this to create invoices and things and to hold money for goods and services like it’s not their way to pay bills or livelihood is absolute TRASH !! Would you wait that long to get paid ?? No, so why are you guys holding funds from people. Absurd!! Never will I use again.

PayPal is one of the most ridiculous online payment service I had the misfortune of using. They have the worst policies that basically support scammers. I was a seller that relied on PayPal for my customers to send me money up until a few months ago. Now I had many bad experiences dealing with their awful staff, but the one that made me kick the bucket was when a customer of mine had decided to request a refund 3 MONTHS after I completed my services for them. And of course PayPal being the garbage company they are, they immediately threw my account into a negative balance without even asking me. They just straight up went and stole money from me because someone decided to act clever with me. If PayPal has the ability to make accounts hold negative balances they why do they hold my money for weeks, sometimes months?Now keep in mind that PayPal has egregious fees. When a customer paid me $100, I did not get that full $100. But then that customer asked for their money back, those sneaky wrenches charged the entire amount to me. Meaning I had to return money that I never got to smell in the first place. And not only that, whenever you want to fight against PayPal’s stupid claims department, you have to pay a flat $15. And they don’t even do anything because those monkeys running the claim center ruled in my cheating buyer’s favour, twice. Even after I provided those buffoons with documents proving that the customer was content with my services they robbed me. So I lost $25 on top of the time and $100 I spent for that customer. A terrible. I pay that can’t even provide the services they advertise and only exist to cheat people out of their money so they can line their own filthy pockets.

All I wanted to do was invoice, and I had to install an additional app to do so which won’t even sign in. After uninstalling and reinstalling and making sure it’s up to date the “business” app for invoicing will not sign in and is just a blank grey screen. If you are going to make people install a separate app for a feature then make sure they can use it!
