Downloading latest update now 4/5
Lots of listings include a link for applying. Please make that touch-enabled or able to be copied. Otherwise, this is great.
The only other idea is to flag, in some way, properties within an HOA or mobile park. It’s frustrating looking into something (for purchase) only to find out it’s on a rented lot, or has HOA fees/regulations.
My suggestion is for other colors of dots in the map. Friendly but obviously different colors for different things. A condo listing on the map should look different from a single family home on its own lot. That’s all I mean - so I can see this is a stand-alone house vs an apartment (etc) from the overview map.
That would make it stellar. It’s already a very good app.
Well done but Denver hard to keep up with 3/5
By Industrial Emgineer
Update - this is a well-done, easy to use app. However, Realtor has a hard time keeping up with the Denver market. Don’t even try to use Realtor (or Zillow) valuations for making an offer in the Denver area - they’ll be outbid. These real estate apps are fine for preliminary looking. But if you’re really after a house, a realtor who really knows their stuff is your best asset. The old rules still apply, use an amortization app. Know your limit, including any escalation bid. Have pre-qualification in hand. If you can’t do it now, keep saving. Like anything, higher downpayment, better deal. Best wishes!
Sort by ratings? 4/5
Love the app, very useful when I can’t have my laptop out, but I do wish I could sort by my individual star ratings so I didn’t have to keep trying to find the next house I’m going to look at by price or some other feature
It can be better. 4/5
By yo cacique
I would like to have on my search tool, the option of looking the properties with the zoning areas, I know when you click to a property on bottom of the details said it, this is more easier: how many bedrooms, how many bathrooms, what type of zoning are you interested. I don’t want to open every property link to check what type of zoning.
Inaccuracies; missing features 1/5
I have saved searches with push notifications and emails for houses only- NOT townhomes, but I still get flooded by townhomes more often than single family homes...
It appears as though the “street view” has been taken off of the iPhone app, and it has never been available on the iPad version. Very frustrating.
You can’t view, edit, or add notes to saved listings on any of the mobile platforms- only the desktop version.
Doesn’t Hide Pending Sales 2/5
This could be a good app, but if you can’t hide the pending sales it is very painful. This has been like this for a while now; I can’t believe the dev staff doesn’t know about it.
Map with listings removed 1/5
Wow... new version and still didn’t fix the major GUI problem...Terrible decision to make the iPad app have the same interface as the phone. I’m officially switching to Zillow until you have this fixed. Show me the map and the listings on the same page.
A very useful app. One major gripe. 4/5
More consistently up to date than Zillow. Our usual go-to. One major major gripe!
My usual filter is types-ofs-residences plus price-ranges (time-consuming to enter the filter, lucky I don’t have other criteria). At times I search for a specific address and view it. (FWIW, it matches the filter.) Then, when I’m through, I blank out the searchbar. But I find out my filter’s been eaten as well. I must enter it again.
Fortunately, I’ve found a workaround: enter my Filter as a Saved Search. But that seems puny.
App crashes way too often.
Login error 1/5
By Greg A.
App has a conflict between listings you save on the app vs. online. Cannot login to share saves between the 2, not great!
Unable to login 1/5
Created a new account in website and when used in the app it doesn’t work. It says some weird error “Saved Resources/Search error”. it makes this app useless!!!
App closes 2/5
I like this app as it is very informative but sometimes when I zoom in on the map the app closes. I would’ve rated this higher but this bug needs to be fixed
Inadequate information 2/5
By Tarek a
Most of the listings have very inadequate information comparing to other leading apps. Most of the time you will not see how big is the house, i.e. square feet of the house, lot size. It shows pictures of the house but will keep you hanging because there is very inadequate data of the particular house you may be interested in. One business strategy could be needing to contact agents for those info but I just don’t think it is necessarily a smart strategy because other apps are offering f those info right at the description. Overall a Good app but sure could improve.
I searched for homes in my locale within a 300k range (650 to 950) with very limited filters and was told there were no homes. I know for a FACT there are homes for sale in the set range with my criteria as I have looked at them. I can’t change the distance from my location. Just bad!
Continue to have difficulty getting the information when touching the price. The info use to come right up, but now I have to select the price multiple times and sometimes the info never comes up.
Wrong information 1/5
The school system is purposely deceiving, showing as nearby schools only the best ones. And if the house is located in an area with a lower rated school system the app will say no schools nearby. I deleted the app after using it for less than a week. I will stick with Zillow and trulia.
Zillow real estate 3/5
Zillow app is disappointing, it used to tell you how long the property is on the market. However, every time you check the length of listing it says “N.A.” well guess what, people need this very important info. I will not download this app, waste of time.
Constantly closes! 1/5
This app is wonderful, but it closes so often, that I can rarely use it for more than 5 minutes at a time! If I want to move the map around to view a different house, it shuts down. If I want to view a different city, it shuts down. I love the app itself, but it’s so frustrating, that I often just give up! It continues to close, despite the app being updated.
Great MLS app, but crashes 3/5
By Birkdale Steve
This is a great app in terms of ease of use, MLS content, notifications, etc but the crashes are annoying and the "View on Map" feature for listings only works 50% of the time (map will not render in map or satellite view).
Need a Dislike Button 2/5
When actively searching for a house, it would be really great if you had something equivalent to a dislike button. Something that would basically tell the software, I’ve looked at this house already, I’m not interested, and I won’t change my mind. That way you could set up a filter to not show those houses. I end up looking at the same houses that I have no interest in multiple times because there is no way to mark them as looked at. This shouldn’t be hard to implement and would make the app much more useful.
Looks nice Lacks Detail 3/5
By Heavy News Reader
Looks nice initially but hard to quickly review property details. Initial cover photos load fast but when I click the property for more detail the sub-photos load more slowly and often hang. Overall This app gives a nice view but offers limited details on the initial property detail view. There’s lots of sub-clicking required and I still can’t usually find all of the details available on the MLS listing.
Meh, i wish i could combine the best features if all apps 2/5
1. I use the app because its first with houses in my search area. Most listings too.
2. Fairly easy too use
3. Hate the recommendations because they show up as notifications and have nothing to do with what i am looking for.
4. Should be able to dump houses i look at but not want to see again (zillow does)
5. New construction stays dark green, so u continue to pull it up.
6. Doesn’t or hard to find price history.
7. Given a choice between zillow, Realtor and redfin. I would take zillow, but zillow doesn’t have as many listings.
No notifications of new listings. 4/5
By MJ W
Usually I get several a day. I have searched saved and notification settings turned on. So what’s up?
As I move the map to search
It has crashed 4 times in last 5 minutes.
Otherwise I like the app.
****** still crashes!!!! 1/14/18
****FSBO listings should not be on realtor.com. The whole point of Realtor.com is to list your home with a realtor to be on the MLS and the website/app .......As another review suggested.
And I did email you.... your response was to instruct me how to use the app to search. Thanks. I know how to search.
Used to be a great app... 1/5
It used to be a great app, until starting crashing every time I zoom in, have contacted developers many times to fix the bug, but they don’t seem to care much!
App must be start for every link? 3/5
I dislike the fact that every time I get a link for a property it automatically takes me to the app! Sometimes I just wanna open it on my web browser. You should be able to modify this!
Some Pros & Cons 3/5
See many listings at once from a geographic area & are able to use some filters.
Save interesting listings & be notified of price changes.
Contact a realtor or broker from within the app. We received a phone call with minutes.
Obviously, no FSBOs are included.
Realtors are not very careful about posting accurate acreage. There’s a big difference in 94 acres & 0.94 acres or 22,877 acres & 22,877 square feet!
You can’t define a search area very well. (Another app lets you draw a freehand circle around the area of interest.)
No goood 1/5
By Mina's World
This app rarely works. I’ve deleted it and reloaded several times
App crashes 3/5
When I click on the icon to open it closes before opening. I can see it opened & immediately closed before being able to use it. Soooo frustrating. Delete and reinstall and after using 2-3 times it does it again :/
Crap Sharing 1/5
What’s the point of sharing a picture and no other information???
Update bad 1/5
Last update really messed up this app. Can’t find itself, doesn’t recognize city names, etc.
Love the app! 5/5
Love this app!
Townhouse now shows has single family 1/5
Why is townhouse showing as a single family home on the app. Please fix it, it doesn’t make no sense.
Why can't I remove Active Contingent homes from my search??? 3/5
By LR Mama
This is such an annoyance and has been going on since I started using this app, which has been more than 6 months. I've seen threads over a year ago about the same issue and still no resolution has been made. When will this get fixed?
15 MINUTES MY BUTT 1/5
Our home was listed in MLS on Monday, AprIl 16, 2018, still not showing up on the app two days later. INEXCUSABLE! Potential buyers are missing the listing and what are we missing, as I'm sure this isn't the only listing you aren't updating every 15 minutes. We will use REDFIN to search for our next home if this doesn't get fixed. Realtor, you're wasting our time using this app. Please fix it ASAP!
The Nov 2017 version of this app is a downgrade : ( 3/5
Hi Realtor.com —
Allow users to see the Home navigation Bar on the map view. Why did you take this away. just add the option for the user to display or not display the homes navigation bar while in Map view
Update: Developer advised on Nov 21 2017 that they would add a toggle to allow users to see the Map/List view on one screen like the old version of this app. Thank you Developers !!
Update. This feature was never added back to the application. I love this app but Without this feature it makes the application very difficult to use.
App is broken 1/5
Last update killed the app. Fix the bugs. Unable to scroll up to see the details and description after choosing a home.
Used to be good 2/5
Was nice until townhouses were considered “single homes”
Price wheel is broken! 1/5
The price wheel shows the same number multiple times and there are only increments of 1k.
You cannot search an entire state. The app doesn’t understand that Montana does not mean Montana city and that MT is not a city in South Carolina.
It’s broken. Lot size not searchable. 1/5
By NRO 25 Conservative
The new “update” means that lot size is no longer searchable. When I indicate I’m looking for a lot of one acre or more, I get zero prospects. What’s the problem?
This means I’ve got to specify “any” lot size to get any results at all. This is not acceptable and needs to be fixed.
Try Trulia or Zillow instead.
I used to love it 3/5
By Sebastian Doc
For about a month now I can’t tap on the price of the homes to make them pop up with the home information. It will do it maybe one out of five times where I can actually see the house. I have deleted the app and tried again...same thing happens. I don’t care so much if the app crashes which it does but not being able to see the homes is pretty bad.
Very Buggy 1/5
Every single time I use this app it has an error and or doesn’t show any listings. When I change cities it will automatically show no listings available. And super annoyingly will have a random error message pop up at random times that reappears immediately after you dismiss it. Not sure what the deal is, I can’t imagine it would have anything to do with the breakneck pace at which they “upgrade” these apps...
Hate the mortgage calculator 3/5
I like this app but I HATE the mortgage calculator on it. Please, developers, make it so you can take off the down payment and apply veterans’ benefits like you can on the full website. For those of us who don’t apply a down payment, the calculated mortgage is way too low and there’s no way to change it.
If I could fiddle with the numbers I would rate this app at 5 stars.
Current version crashes 1/5
I usually use Redfin App... 5/5
I’m going to start using this App due to more current listings compared to other Apps(I do my research), but please consider changing the format so that I can just swipe each listed house-without having to open each house just to see the rest of the pics. That’s why I Love Redfins format. I don’t have to open every house just to see the rest of the pics. Much more efficient, and effective, and time is not on your side in this business...
Zillow is MUCH better 1/5
This app has almost no information compared with Zillow. It also shows listings in the wrong locations on the map. Speaking of the map, if you enter a city it does not seem to know city limits and shows homes in some arbitrary area for miles around the city. Try entering Covington, KY the map that comes up includes an area with about 8 other cities within the polygon. Compare that map with an actual map of covington. You’ll see what I mean. Deleting this app and sticking with Zillow. What a disappointment!
Worked fine until... 1/5
Worked fine until latest update. Now I am unable to save any listings to my favorites. Disappointing.
No longer updating with new listings 2/5
Realtor.com has been my standby for the last 3 years but now the app is not updating with new listings. It alerts telling me there are 8 new listings but will only show 3-4. Please fix it, I’m weary of having to go online!
Crashing while panning map 3/5
LOVE the app but current version (and previous) crash every time I pan around in the map view for more than a couple seconds. Extremely frustrating.
This app stopped working 1/5
I have deleted Realtor.com three times and downloaded it again and it keeps saying something went wrong try again this is been now going on for three months this app is terrible
