Literally Revolutionary! 5/5
By Mr. Avetisyan
I rarely rate any apps, but man did I have to write something about the NEW UPDATE. I've been waiting forever for an app to give TRUE SELECTIVE EDITING CAPABILITY. And Lightoom has finally done it. It's absolutely mind-blowing how much of a complete game-changer this NEW selective editing is (as compared to Lightroom's old rectangular/circle). I hate using Lightoom on my laptop because it's so much easier to edit with the phone since my fingers are the best "pen" that I need. And a mouse/trackpad can never do the magic that fingers can (that's what she said) on a touchscreen.
Thank you! 5/5
As a creative cloud member, thank for the RAW support of the new update! 😁 It getting my job done much easier by using this Lightroom mobile on the go! 😊👌🏼
Edit: To the people that are complaining and confusing, yes this app is totally FREE to use and edit photo!
But there are only LIMITED tool to use. If you really want the Raw Processing, upload files and sync to your desktop collection, then you must be in subscription paid membership!
Signing up for free membership will NOT get you any great feature.
What a great editing app!
Noise reduction 5/5
By Try to scare me
Best update by far. The ability to control noise reduction in app makes this second to none.
Love the app but new update crashes 3/5
By Adam Socki
Love it but new update seems to be full of bugs that cause crashing. I have a fairly large library, bit when I went to open it for the first time after the update, crash.
Doesn't upload files! 1/5
Can't sync even 6 photos.
No communication?? 1/5
By mr sharkbait
I wish Adobe had it together. In trying to utilize selective and RAW edits, I'm told that I need to be a CC member. I AM a CC member: there apparently isn't any communication between Lightroom and the CC.
By kerry my mom
Very good happy that I can edit it anywhere.
Lightroom works well and I love how it is tied to the desktop version. But it doesn't have all the features that the desktop version does. I have the new iPad Pro!!! Let me have the full set of tools.
I can't batch paste settings to multiple photos at the same time. That really slows me down.
There is no brush tool so the cool Apple Pencil is almost useless.
Lots of features in the desktop version are left out.
I want the full set of Lightroom for my iPad. It can't be that rough.
Grade A 5/5
Where's the adjustment brush? 4/5
I'd give it 5 stars, but you really need to add in the adjustment brush. Otherwise the mobile version is great.
Good but thumbnails black 3/5
Whenever I restore my phone and Lightroom gets downloaded all the previous images' thumbnails are black.
Amazing software. So much better than the native Apple camera app 5/5
Really great piece of software. Love RAW HDR. So much more power and flexibility than the Camera app. Things I wish were better? Would love it if they could do a version of "Portrait mode" where you could shoot RAW. That would be amazing and a decisive advantage over Apple. I'd pay money for that. Other than that- it is pretty fantastic. I'd love it if there were just a pure RAW camera app that I could use when shooting, and then I could use LR to edit the photos. Not a big deal though- it is unobtrusive.
Useless for iOS live photos... 1/5
Don't lose your "Live Photos" using LR. I've learned the hard way and assumed it saved the format correctly. Scrolling hasn't been fixed as well. Have you tried one hand scrolling on a phone? It's so annoying to grab the scroll bar as you swipe.
Awesome companion to desktop version 5/5
Really great for flagging your images for quick review. If you know how to swipe on tinder, you can do it here.
For phones that can handle it - the hdr photography is superb - almost comparable to my DSLR. Can't say enough how impressed I am with the results.
Best tool for photographers, both amateur and professionals 5/5
I used it heavily. It gives me the ability to edit pictures on my iPad while I'm on the go and also on my laptop. This app is a requirement if you want to take your editing to the next level.
Simply the best 5/5
By Killer on the Roof
How can you make a better photo app? Editing tool? Preview device? Short answer, you can't. And the great thing is it even better now than it was when I first got this app. I love it and can't say enough about an app. My level of use is casual, as I primarily use photoshop and Lightroom on my MacBook but on the mobile platform there is nothing better. LR you're simply the best!!!
Works well with desktop Lightroom 5/5
Once you get LR set up right, the sync between the desktop and mobile versions allow a tight integration between the two. I can edit photos on my phone and the changes synchronize to my desktop. The learning curve for Lightroom could be smoother.
Excelente aplicación para hacer pequeños retoques. La uso muy a menudo antes de enviar primeras fotos a clientes.
Works Great 5/5
I use it everyday. Quick check my digital camera's photos on the go, looks great on iPad edit and choose keepers.
Excellent on the go app for editing 5/5
I have really enjoyed what the app has to offer and feel like every photographer should invest in it.
Photoshop at your finger tips 5/5
By Hal Shaffer
The BEST photo editing app to date! Get professional results instantly with LR. We use this daily In our jobs.
The best!! 5/5
Absolute the best!! Im a starter at photography and so far I love light room. Great for color.
This is by far one of my favorite photo editing apps. First off, there isn't an annoying watermark that you either have to crop out, or pay to get rid of. Nope. None. That's great. Second, it's super easy to use. Things aren't crazy weird. You have a decent amount of options and ways to change it and the filters are lovely. Thirdly, I really like how it tells you what photos you've already edited. I don't know about everyone else but I tend to forget what I've edited and what I haven't so that's super useful and prevents me editing a picture (unintentionally) more than once. Fourth and finally, I love that it isn't totally overrun by ads. It isn't one if those apps where there's an ad that pops after every single little thing you do.
Sorry for this long and drawn out review, but I just wanna emphasize how much I love this app.
Great App! 4/5
This is my go to App for photo editing on my phone. The only thing that would be nice is to actually add a watermark on the image. Other than that keep up the great work!
Love it 5/5
This app is fantastic, the way it handles raw images is so good. I took so many photos that I thought were terrible and this app allowed me to recover information and detail. I've used Snapseed before but this is way superior.
Useful & Convenient 5/5
By U.V. Studios
The updates for this app were necessary. Like adding selective editing and finding a way to keep the original resolution of the images . I am an active photographer without a laptop atm , so this makes editing quick and easy.
Quick and Eash 5/5
By N B N
Lightroom mobile is quick and easy to use. I love to use it on the go. It's simple to use, I can review my photos, make quick edits, and upload in a matter of minutes. This is a must app for photography needs.
A good replica of the desktop version 5/5
I love using this app to make my photos more appealing and really have fun doing it.
Simple and amazing 5/5
I love this app. Everything is so easy to do and the interface is so user-friendly. This app should be advertised more.
It was 4.5 stars, but doesn't work now 1/5
After the most recent update, I cannot edit photos. A photo can be selected to edit, but then it just hangs up. So bummed!
My tool, my app... 5/5
I can't live without Lightroom. After investing a great amount of time and resources learning Lightroom for Desktop, this feels like the perfect compliment to any photographer's workflow. It might not be perfect but it is pretty close.
Awesome editor but bad cloud file management 3/5
Currently Lightroom takes over 3gbs of storage on my phone. Most of this is due to syncing photos on the cloud. It would be better if Lightroom would temporarily download active images from cloud to work on and then upload them and store when edits are finished. Basically similar to how iCloud Photo Library works.
Highly Recommended! 5/5
I have been doing professional photography since 1979 and Photoshop has been my "darkroom" since I switched to digital cameras in 2002. I have done a number of specialties of work with photography over the years, but most enjoy shooting landscapes now.
High dynamic range (HDR) images have become both a focus among photographers in recent years, and a watch-out among pros, due to the over-cooked appearance that excessive HDR application can cause.
When using DSLR cameras and shooting RAW files, manual image blending using luminosity masks has been my preference for creating what I would call real HDR images, that do not look fake or artificial. But the luminosity masking, multiple image process involved, is overly technical for the masses and is pretty much limited to computers, and not mobile platforms. Because of this, really well done HDR images have eluded mobile platform images - until now, using Lightroom in the HDR mode.
I have been very pleasantly surprised to see what the latest version of Lightroom has been able to produce and Lightroom has now become my go-to camera app for iPhone when I want best image quality. And for the benefit of those who are not pros and don't care to learn more sophisticated processing techniques, the good news is that Lightroom produces its realistic-looking HDR images automatically, with just one shot. I normally shoot 3-5 bracketed images of a scene with a DSLR to get the range of light values needed for optimum blended images.
One other thing. If I am after the best image quality my iPhone is capable of, Lightroom also provides me with a DNG file (RAW format) of each image, although this is limited to newer iPhones. Using DNG files, I can import them onto my computer and use the more complex processing options for maximum image quality.
My iPhone 7Plus is not going to replace my DSLRs for pro-grade work, but Lightroom has certainly raised the bar for quality mobile image creation and processing. Using Lightroom and my iPhone 7 Plus, I can now create images good enough to pass the scrutiny of even a few of my finicky pro friends.
Great editor, and I love the connection to the desktop version. All I use to edit photos.
The best 5/5
By Dave in Philly
For me this is the best photo app on iPhone. Photos sync with my computer, shoots raw, and does split toning. All adjustments are transfered with the photo to lightroom on my computer.
Does what it should 5/5
Does what it should depending on what device your using it on. But if you have the creative cloud, it's nice to have a single place to store all your photos edited on Lightroom
Love this app. But Android has more features 5/5
I love this app, and it what I use on the daily. But for ISO its lacking a few features that the Android users have. Why?
Great app 5/5
I love that the pixel of the photo doesn't change. The quality improves a lot!
Great for raw photos 4/5
I love that I can export raw images to photos
You can't find something so elegantly and precise with the guaranteed result of your intent. ----Would make a more sociable platform imo but hey time is virtue.
Please add keywording 4/5
Lightroom works well and does not seem buggy at all which is nice. Why can't I add keywords though?
More than you could ask for 5/5
Adobe cares a lot about Lightroom mobile and it shows with the updates they push out. Every year that goes by, the app matures enough to completely justify the paying for a CC account. The mobile app and allows me to do 95% of the things the desktop app does, which is so useful when on the go and/or trying to show/export images for others.
The camera app inside of Lightroom is easy to access and allows you to shoot RAW photos with excellent customization. This feature has saved me multiple time when I did not have my DSLR and wanted to take a RAW photo. The resolution obviously is limited to the iPhone camera, but there is a HUGE difference in quality from Lightroom's RAW camera capture and the native iPhone camera app.
The sum up: This app does more than it needs to do and I hope it continues to surprise me in the future!
Great but 4/5
I love it but one thing I would change is the white balance tool. I wish it had all the actual presets on it except just auto and custom. Sometimes it makes things easier. Another is the ease of applying your watermark or copyright. It's easier on the computer version
Love the sharing from the computer to mobile.
Great tool for photos 4/5
By Chris Stew22
The Lightroom mobile does great job with your basic editing for photos. The capabilities do not match the desktop application of course but there's some functionalities that I would like to see in mobile app that are very possible:
1: you can transfer pictures from the mobile app to the desktop app... Not the other way around. My issue is when I finish an edit on my desktop I want to post it to IG (especially) or FB and I use my phone to do that. Please consider this basic functionality, but for the time being I have to save photos to the creative cloud and then download them to my phone using the cc app.
2: the mobile app doesn't allow you to water mark your photos, so if branding yourself is essential for your workflow you'll have to finish the edit in the desktop application..
Other than that I love using Lightroom! It's a great tool for photographers on the go and it's especially important for turn around time and delivering your product to your social media pages or to clients that do not need the editing required in desktop Lightroom.
Lightroom for iOS is Really Solid 4/5
I have to say, I really like Lightroom for iOS. In fact, I wish Lightroom for macOS looked and operated as smoothly. On iPad, it is even better, and I can do most of my edits there before having to go to the desktop
If there was one thing I wish could be added, it would be selective masking for edits, especially with the Apple Pencil on an iPad. If I had that, there would really be little need to use my laptop, and make Lightroom for iOS king of the photo tools.
Just like PC version 5/5
This app has been amazing so far. It provides all the essential quick to use features the real program does. Even its camera usage is amazing as it unlocks professional adjustments unavailable to the native app.
