Does not support Amazon Smile 3/5
Although this app is great for researching products, I am disappointed it still does not support Amazon Smile (when a small percentage of proceeds goes to your selected charity)
Currently if I want to buy something, I search for the item on the app and then add to my "cart" and then wait till I'm near a computer to go to Amazon Smile to then purchase the item, which is a total waste of time not being able to purchase through the app.
Besides this, I love the app and believe it works great.

Went to buy an Apple Watch. There are 62,000 listings. But this app won't let me set financial parameters of what I want to spend. Unbelievable.
If instead you then try to filter it by high to low, the app prevents you from seeing all listings and cuts off after a few hundred of them are shown.
I will be purchasing an Apple Watch on another website tonight. Solely because Amazon doesn't have an app that adequately filters results I don't want. Poor app for such a large company.
GREAT BUT PLZ FIX BUGS! 3/5
I'm on the latest IOS at the time of writing this review with the latest version. The app has a few bugs I'll list here for your developers:
1. Add to cart button does not work sometimes. I tap it and the animation plays but something is stopping it from actually adding the item to my cart. I also opened amazon in my browser and the item was in my cart on the mobile website but not within the iOS app.
2. Add to list button not working. When I select the "add to list" option on the iOS app I am presented with an infinite loading screen. My network is working fine but it won't load the page for some reason.
3. This is not a bug but I would like see an option to delete cards during your checkout process. This might cause problems for some users and I understand why you have to search to do it but it's just a suggestion.
My device is an iPhone 5s 32gb running iOS 10.2 (14C92) my system has 26gb usable and 3.49 free and is idling with 390mb of ram free.

I expect a native app on an iPad pro to be at least, if not more, powerful and easy to use compared to a browser based app. This is not the case at all. For example, filtering options are so basic compared to the web experience. No excuse for a digital company to have such a limited app for mobile.
Bring back the scanner! A pain to search for specific item without the bar code scanner!

App works well with my iPhone 6. Easy to use and easy to order from. Needs a place to save address book from phone and needs somewhere in it to save my sizes I want and not make me look at sizes I'll never see again and keep telling the app my sizes gets frustrating

Settings in the apps are so stupid and I ordered an item by mistake and it wouldn't not let me cancel they sent it out anyways I pressed cancel immediately after it was ordered :( never using Amazon again it went down hill anyway since Amazon started making their own products

This app allows me to be supper lazy, and besides what can't you buy from amazon?! Just wish they would allow you to change the color of the app i liked the old color scheme better then this sky blue color they have going.

I ordered a package on amazon and it said it will arrive on January 20 at eight o'clock and when I check on it it said it won't be here until January 24. Don't order from this app it rigs you on the dates

That is really easy to use and user-friendly and extremely helpful and handy
The addition of the Dash Button section as well as the suggested authors is annoying and gets in the way. The Amazon home screen app should be customizable in what it includes... No! I don't want a dash button for trash bags that I bought 1 time over a year ago and who is in that much of a rush that they need to order them like that!?

Ordering with two day shipping not working 2/5
Well I recently ordered some earbuds and a few others things as well and I paid the extra money to get two day shipping. I ordered it yesterday (Thursday) and I got a delivery time of next Tuesday. Okay that's far from two day shipping. I didn't pay extra to get ripped off. I think I'll use different sites from now on if this keeps up. I've been using Amazon for three years now. And this just upsets me that they would do this

Just like their customer service the app is terrible, misplaced adds that block so you cannot read descriptions of product - they are so bad both in app and service I am no longer using the store or app.
It got worse used the wrong credit card even though I picked another one and the order and confirmation did not match up with the desktop Amazon website so conflicting information I have deleted app from iPhone, iPad and iPad Air not using this app it is useless.

while there are a few features lacking from the Amazon website itself, i MUCH prefer using this app when i need to buy stuff.
it's streamlined to be much simpler than the website and overall far quicker to use. order tracking, for instance is MUCH easier.
i also find it much easier to add, delete and move things on my various wish lists than on the website.
now i will say that sometimes searching via the website does turn up a broader selection but this is usually only the case with much more unusual things.
and - should i need to contact amazon directly for some reason - it can be difficult to find out how to do that within the app.
however, i find both these issues are just the sort that improve as amazon updates the app.
frankly i'm puzzled as to why the amazon app doesn't have a much higher rating. i've been using it for years and find it only gets better and easier.
it may not be perfect but i give it a good solid four stars with the fifth for effort.

I use amazon app daily and love it, however, recent updates are not helpful to me. Recently, I too have noticed the app slow down significantly. Pics load much slower and trying to check out sizes, colors, and other various purchase options has come to a crawl, leaving me to give up and abandon my shopping until later, in hopes it will clear up the next time. One thing I truly dislike is the new pop up box asking me if I want to share every time I take a screenshot. I already have the ability to share pics from my phone & this option is nothing but a nuisance hogging screen space right on top of my search box, forcing me to wait for it to go away so I can search again or change pages. As much as I love the app, it boggles my mind how any software developer could possibly think it's a good idea to place barriers between consumers and shoppers, in hopes we will be delighted at their ingenuity. The feature has no sensible reason for being there, let alone popping up right on top of my search bar. There are so many other things you could do to improve this already great app, but offering to share my screenshots for me is silly, redundant, and an obstacle to my shopping experience. For example, reviewing my past orders so I can order another item from a company should be much easier to navigate. If I order socks from a company and I like them enough to go back and order more, the app is great at finding my past order, but it is more geared toward re-ordering the exact same item, the exact same way, rather than making it easy for me to modify and make changes. So, if I want a different color of socks from the same place, I have to find my previous order, then navigate through a maze to re-order with any changes. This is silly and time consuming. The biggest reason I spend so much money with amazon is because I truly hate shopping at all and this app makes shopping far less annoying BECAUSE it is so fast and simple to get all the info and make the right selections. Any impediments to that speed and efficiency will only serve to discourage me from spending on amazon. 😺

Can't purchase Kindle books, only sample downloads 1/5
App worked perfectly fine until I realized I am not able to purchase kindle books. They even took purchasing kindle books out of the kindle app which is piss poor. Why should I have to use two separate apps to make a purchase and to read a book??? Amazon app only allows me to download a sample, fix this please!!

Subscribe and Save Nightmares 2/5
Why is the logout option under settings? Just make it easier to get to by putting at top of app or bottom of first pull down menu - like most banking apps.
Also attempting to change or cancel subscribe and save was a nightmare. Just kept going around and around. Thought I cancelled last month until charges show up unannounced on my credit card. Finally had to call customer service to get it cancelled.

I wish it was more like the iPhone version 2/5
I want to be clear, this is just about the iPad version. The iPhone version works just fine. For the most part this version even works, there's just a few details I wish they would change.
1. There is no full screen cart. There is a drop down side bar, but it's so small it's hard to read. I can see it bigger on my iPhone (not even a plus version).
2. Limited account settings. I've been able to find everything I need in the settings on my iPhone, but the iPad app only has a few of the basics. I want to be able to access my payment accounts easily but can't. I finally found some things like gift card reload, but you have to go to the settings for past orders (because that makes total sense, not.), then at he top of that page there is a tab for account settings with a few things. Not even close to what you can access on the computer or iPhone.
3. Asks me to log in over and over. Sometimes when trying to access some account info I have to put in my password. Fine. Even the computer does that. But after putting it in, it redirects me back to the page I started on. Sometimes I have to put in the password multiple times before getting to the screen I wanted.
4. And while we are on passwords, I hate that it defaults to "show password" when I'm going to put it in. I don't want my password to show. Anywhere. I know what it is. I type it in a lot. If it's wrong I'll try again. But I don't want to take the chance that someone else can look over my shoulder and see it. Go ahead and have it as an option, but don't default to that! It's a security risk. For something that we are supposed to keep secure, they sure like to throw it around everywhere. Especially on an app that saves credit card information. And that one goes for all of amazon, even the computer.

... until they started getting annoying with security and randomly asking for account password. Then to make matters worse it locks up when I enter the password, and I have to force close. Then I'm logged in when I get back into the app.
Why the password prompt? It's on a secure iPhone. Why not use touchID?
Can't purchase Kindle books! 1/5
I can't make Kindle purchases either through this app or through the Kindle app. This really doesn't make sense and is super inconvenient. Fix this, and it's a 5 star review but as it is I can't do with the app what I mainly intended.

You can think and do simple subtraction. I've used this app on every iOS device I've ever owned and I've never had a problem.
Reading some of these 1 star reviews makes me wonder if they're not written by the same people who are writing 5 star reviews for the idea/inspiration piece of **** app because they're so stupid. I tend to spend money quickly sounds like one of them.
Check with Apple on why you can't buy a Kindle book from an iOS device. Same reason you can't buy a Kindle book on iBooks. LOL!

I wish the app had book preview. I also can't find where on the app you can switch to desktop Full Site. I guess it's ok if you just need the basics but I think I'll just delete the app.

Title says it all, the app is extremely slow now and crashes on me all the time. I started noticing this around Christmas and blamed it on the increased traffic, but it has persisted. The app is useless to me even thought my software is current.

This is more of a complaint against the iOS version (iPhone more specifically) more than anything. And my complaint is in regard to the FONT SIZE. I once had 20-15 vision and could read small fonts with ease, but age brings that to a halt. I have adjusted the font in iPhone settings but doesn't work well for individual apps. I know developers can add a font size setting b/c the Life Church Bible app for iOS has it and it works great. So Amazon app developers PLEASE add a setting in the app to allow us 50 something's to read it better! Millennials are not the only ones using your app. Thanks for your consideration.

Why do amazon gives us a due date but is always late not on the due date and then gives us another due date but sometimes its not on that due date.
