This app is absolute garbage. Amazon is a company. One must understand that they will try to squeeze every dime out of you that they can. When they show listings for items you might see something such as "used and new from $3.00", but upon clicking on the listing you won't see that $3.00 listing, because the top listing will be for something like $8.00. It is not until you scroll through about 6 pages that you actually find the listing you want. Want to change this setting? Well you cant. Amazon won't let you list the products from cheapest to most expensive on that screen. It is a completely corrupt system for a completely corrupt company predicated on the single motive of acquiring currency.

I absolutely love Amazon and being able to have the app reason for 4 stars.. However the latest updates I don't like at all when it comes to searching within departments and using filters. You select clothes but instead of giving just tops, bottoms, etc. The results are for the most expensive items, doesn't display everything and can't narrow your filters without coming up with only 5 products. At the top, you don't see the total amount of items for that filter, you start scrolling thinking you may have a lot but nope only maybe 20. Where is the rest? Please fix!!!

I like that the menu gives the option to switch between Prime and Fresh selections. This needs to include Prime Now as well (allowing us to eliminate a separate Now app).
I'd rather Not even look for an item when I have to search both apps. I think many people would prefer 1 more robust app, than multiple apps to switch between.

Don't write reviews, but had to now. App has worked completely fine for years. Not kidding, I've never had a problem for about 3-4 years. Suddenly, I can't change the options of things I'm buying without it backing out to the search page (changing the size for jeans or color), I can't add to any lists without it ignoring the request and backing out to the last page, and I can't add to my cart. Just roll it back.

The site is great and customer service is top notch, but if you want to know what devices you are using and how much you are being charged every month, just call customer service for quicker results.

After getting this app I rarely shop physically. It works great and product descriptions, questions and reviews inside the app makes shopping that much easier. I read here that some things don't work for some people. I didn't have any issues yet.

I don't know why the iOS version has super bad ratings but AMAZON IS THE BEST! My package that I bought for about $90+ didn't arrive and it said delivered, so when I went to customer service and emailed them they emailed back 1 hour later which is pretty fast and everyone there is so nice and helpful.👍🏻

There have only been minute tweaks reported as updates/enhancements when this app demands an overhaul. Here are just a few of many things I've been waiting for developers to address (over several years) :
-AMAZON SMILE INTEGRATION (pretty big 'miss')
-IMPROVED SEARCH FILTERS (particularly for clothes)
-BETTER ZOOM CAPABILITY (barely exists as is)
-IMPROVED LAYOUT / NAVIGATION (currently feels more akin to a website awkwardly utilizing responsive design than an app for a company that touts a slogan of simplicity -- "and you're done" ... see Gilt, Apple, Soap, etc for more sophisticated examples)
I rarely use this app unless it's an 'emergency.' But I look at it and cringe all the time. Instead, I wait until I can access a computer--or I use my phone's browser.
Up your game. You're Amazon.

App has not worked for the last 3 weeks at all. It asks to try connecting again and nothing. How can a company so huge not fix the stupid app!!!!!!

I can't use this app at all coz it gives network error all the time. There is no issue with the network since all other apps work fine and get refreshed. Totally unexpected of amazon.....highly disappointed!!

I love the Amazon app and I use it constantly. I never have issues with it on my iPhone 7. Its fast, easy to use and makes shopping incredibly easy. Definitely the best mobile shopping experience I've ever had!

I've used Amazon many times to order and send gifts, blue ray and DVD's, etc.
Recently and continually the DVD's I've ordered are packed horribly causing damage to the DVD's. And for the first time only I've had to return many DVD's that wouldn't work at all. Some movies I buy I may not open and watch the movies right away only to find they are damaged. I've returned movies that I really, really wanted to add to my family's edition that are one of a kind movies. I sent one set back - they sent me a replacement for the same DVD and it was damaged also. Both sets that I received I had to return because they did not work.
I'm beginning to feel afraid and frustrated with purchasing items from Amazon because I've ordered for years and now what has changed that things; in particularly DVD's, are scratched, damaged and/or do not work at all??
No digital purchases via app 2/5
So I can search for Kindle titles but have to go through my browser or onto my Kindle to buy them? What's the point of having an app? And now, they've changed the filters, so I can't sort by price, or by which items have dropped in price. This is the most useless app on the face of the earth.

I have had an issue for about 6 months now where product images disappear while scrolling. At first, it was occasional, now it happens all the time. iOS and app are both up to date, getting to the point I start to browse from safari just to be able to see.

All of my shopping was very strategically conducted by sorting "low to high" and especially by "price drop." These options are no longer available which means I will be making less purchases through Amazon. Very disappointing for me...and them.

Latest Update Messed up 2/5
I'm a list maker and saver. The latest update messed something up on the list feature of the app. Which in turn messed up on the mobile site. I cannot access my lists that were created on the app on the mobile site (Safari). On the app the lists are there but I can't sort or filter the lists I've created.

I can't order. Oh wait...that's a feature for me. New update 5/23 still doesn't work on my iPad. I used iPod touch to order Blu-ray DVD. Seems to be working now.

Overall I like the app. Here are a couple of needed changes.
1). Let us order Kindle and Audible books from the app. It would cut out all the monkeying around we have to do to get something. A simple click, down load and your sales increases.
2). Need to be able to clear the apps cache. The app data is 4 times the size of the app.
I wish I could use my Amazon smile account through this app. As I would like my purchases to make a donation to my charity.

Used to be a great app and a great place to find things at different price ranges.
I even joined there prime shipping and video, but last year or so it has fallen big time!
My two day deliveries take 3-8 days and there's nothing ever to watch on Amazon prime.
The app works ok but it's changed and you have to text customer service back and forth. No more talking to a representative.
Last package said delivered to me at front door? Then said no front gate? Then said maybe it's still on ontrac (Amazon owned delivery service) truck and could I wait tomorrow and Monday to see if the find package?
New app crashes so delete it and reinstall, updates don't fix anything.
Let's hope they realize they have awful customer service and worst delivery service (Prime) in the US!
My usps is faster and better service.

I don't understand why all these people are getting issues with the app, I've had no issues since way back. I find the app very convenient for checking on orders and quickly buying what I need. So in my opinion this app is great and easy to use.

It's an OK app. But receiving packages would be much SAFER if there was an option (like every other app I use!) to play a SOUND with each banner notification. That way I'd know when a package is dropped off on my porch.

It will only show you the top-rated reviews for a product, so if you are interested in why customers give something low ratings, you need to save the product to a list and evaluate it from the web environment. I only buy things from the app I've purchased before that are low-risk, like laundry detergent.
