    Love the look of the App and the access to information, customer services, rewards, etc. Great Apple Watch support via notifications. I had to take away a star because the latest version of this App is somewhat disappointing compared to the near perfection of the previous version. The look of the interface is not nearly as good and where is the easy access for customer service, concierge, and travel that the prior version had for Platinum Card members? Please bring back the old version and its features.

    New customer and the app works pretty well, however there are a couple things that do need adjustments. I think that there should be indicators of items that you have paid after pressing “Pay It”. Either automatically or manually. The other would be to move the membership screen under account and move the make a payment screen to there instead. Otherwise, things are pretty good !

    Why do you wipeout log in with every update? I have to find out my login and password every time you upgrade. That’s poor job developers-why can’t you keep that data in tact. Other apps can do it. Pls don’t wipe out log in data when you upgrade.

    I’ve always loved the usability of this app until I updated it today. Unless I’m missing something the home page no longer tells you what your recent charges are, if you want to know you have to subtract the due amount from the total amount, which is nonsense. I know you can find it under statements, but it’s just a unpractical change, please put it back!!

    The new design is awful and difficult to navigate. For example, there is no notice that you have signed off successfully. The home page is not user friendly or appealing. Sorry, Am Ex, you dropped the ball on this one.

    Poor use if screen. Too much white space. Features hidden behind menus etc... The app used to present a good density of information. Now it’s just too spread out and instead of being able to quickly see the information I need... scroll and more scroll.

    Prior to this upgrade one was able to see a authorized users expenses added up under the statement section. Now one must add up all expenses. Fix this.

    The latest update is horrible. In the previous version, when you logged in you saw a summary of current balance, cycle end date and a quick link to view your recent statements. This is awkward and cumbersome. I don’t want to go to several places to see when this cycle ends or find a statement. Not good.

    The only thing I’d like to change is how the app keeps rearranging your cards based on the order you last looked at them. I wish they’d stay in the same order. Or at least give us the option to choose the order or if you want it to change.

    American Express has a very easy to look at interface and layout. Payments are no problem and you can manage cards and see credit line easily. What it lacks is ability to see how rewards are applied through the app. It transfers you to their website, which is down from time to time. Since people are using this as a rewards card more than just for credit, we should see a breakdown on what gets credit for rewards. Amex - color code the transactions for easy viewing. Purple is 6% cash back, blue is 5%, etc. it’s too difficult to see how rewards are applied in current state. For example, if I want to see if a gas station received 3% back, I do not want to have to call to find out. I want to be able to see it from the app. Additionally, statements on app do not display total expenses or display rewards earned. Feels like they don’t want us to check their work or ask questions or focus on rewards. Three stars until those general issues are fixed.

    I’d really like to see the filtered transactions total again. I used to be able to select charges and filter by cardholder to see the spending on my supplemental cards at any point. Now it only totals if all cardholders are selected

    The new version/update is horrible. It’s less user friendly than before. It is impossible to find your payment due date without scouring through the physical statements. Before you could choose a drop down option from the payment screen... quick... easy. Not anymore. Knowing the due date is important for cardholders, why make it so difficult to find.

    If the app isn’t going to show me my total purchases and pending transactions on the home page, it’s useless to me. I review it daily for business and do not want to go searching for it. Having a picture of my card on the home page serves what purpose exactly?

    Easy to use. More convenient and faster than accessing account via a web browser. Very convenient to pay monthly bill. Needs to have reward dollars redemption incorporated into the iOS app. It would be even better to make it automatic for account credit. The ads are annoying. An option to turn them off would be appreciated. I see no value in the option to pay individual charges. Permit this to be turned off to simplify the display.

    I find it more inconvenient to actually find what you want too see. Not to mention, i used to filter my statements so i could figure out how much each cardholder owes. Now, since the total is not displayed, i have to add up my charges one by one or wait until i get on an actual computer to find out a different way - defeating the purpose of a convenient app.

    Just updated the app and am so disappointed. Its appearance is less attractive and the function hasn’t been improved - it feels like it takes an extra step to access functions. Really disappointing UX - this was one of my nicer financial apps but no more.

    With the new update, when looking at transactions by user, it does not give you a total balance per user. It only shows the transactions, which is rather annoying when trying to figure out how much someone might owe you.

    I’ve been a faithful card member for years. However, please make the following change to your app. It would be awesome if customers could select a payment date, the only option is the current date. Selecting a payment date is available only when accessing via browser.

    Since the last two updates the ability to filter transaction total by an individual user of authorized accounts has disappeared. Only ‘all’ card holders totals appear. Ask is to bring back transaction totals by each card member when filtering by card holder name Home>Statements>Transactions and Statements>Recent and/or Current Statement>Transactions Totals will show only if all card holders are selected rather than any single card holder.

    1/30/18 Review How can i see the TOTAL recent charges and total prior statement charges for ONE accountholder? I used to be able to do this on the old version of the app. Please see below. Why take this away?? #Confused 9/24 Review: It's great to see app developers that pay attention to their users' comments! I can now filter between my transactions and my wife's who is a cardholder on my account. Solid app... once the TouchID login is a bit speedier... but maybe that's not Amex's fault. Previous Version's Review: The app has a very clean, refreshed design but it is useless to me. Unfortunately, it makes no sense to use this app because I have a family account and when i logon I see a laundry list of my PLUS my wife's transactions with no distinction between the owner. Because of this I have to log on to the Amex.com site to see MY transactions and what I owe. I'm a millennial and my wife and I pay our bills separately. I should be able to see my charges separately.

    I’ve deleted app from iPad and now using web access again. I’ve been through numerous app “improvements” and this is the worst of all. I normally don’t write reviews and when I do they are usually raves for something great. I expect better from AMEX.

    I’m one of those people who likes to pay as I go... paying up my balance every week or so rather than waiting for my statement close. However, the mobile app (iOS) seems less easy to use than it once was. I struggle to find the current balance. Having said that I now rechecked and see that on the initial screen I clearly see the balance on one of my two cards. But on the less active account it doesn’t display a current balance ($0) but instead displays “Previous Activity”. Now that I realize that it should be easier for me. Nonetheless I think it’s confusing. Why not display “Current Balance $0”? Aside from that I’m very happy with the app. Makes it easy to check activity and make payments.

    Not exactly sure why the developers of this app felt the need to change it. This is the worst update ever. Not an improvement. Worse. Previous layout was at least user-friendly and understandable. New layout horrible and not user-friendly in the slightest. More complicated. Just awful.

    Original 11/1. ??????????? Really? It’s taking this long? Sad. 12/15 Update. Haven’t used the app since first review. Still nothing. Read lots of reviews for request for X update. Some nice, some not do nice. Still nothing. Amex just doesn’t care. Should fire whoever is in charge of their mobile support team. Get someone competent and responsive. 1/28 Update. Finally updated for face recognition. App is overall good and is now functional for iPhone X users. I’m happy with the update but am not sure what took so long.

    This is an excellent app for keeping tabs on your finances with AMEX. Only thing I would suggest is perhaps adding a widget to quickly check your balances without opening the app.
