App in the Air app reviews

  • Worst travel app! 1/5

    By themacuser123
I bought a trial subscription to Up in the Air because the app claims it can automatically check me in. It failed on all 3 segments of my flight. Not only did it failed to check me in it started automatically withdraw monthly fees for membership. What a bunch of scam artist. Avoid at All Cost!!!!
  • Overall good but needs fine tuning 4/5

    By swnby
Love it thus far. Trying it out right now and might suggest improvements after trial ends. As of now my one negative is you cannot add countries visited outside of flying, thus updating total (non-flights, i.e. Cruise/backpack). Should this change I'll look at adding previous flights going way back in time and buy premium/lifetime.
  • Perfect for travelers 5/5

As a frequent flyer and avid adventurer I highly recommend this app for anyone who looks to get the best out of their trip.
  • Awesole redesign 5/5

    By h4nne5
Great UX. Show/hide only the info you need. Excellent email parsing (way better then tripit!!)
  • Always beats competitors! 5/5

    By Nithchak
I’ve used this app for more than 2 years now and I’m very satisfied with its functionality. Gives most accurate information all the time and informs of any changes in schedule immediately. The new AR travel feature is really good. I get an up-close view of where all I’ve been and the route that the flight takes.
  • Outstanding app 5/5

  • Fantastically adequate. 3/5

    By Shakka Bubba
    It is okay.
  • Frequent traveler 3/5

    By Jinmarie
I mainly use this to track my miles and where I've been throughout the year. I have other apps within travel companies that track the rest. I like to see the map and where I've been....I don't like that delta, national, and other top companies can't be linked to this. Also, it doesn't always pick up on all of my travel. Still can't seem to figure it out
  • FlightTracker Pro replacement 5/5

    By csusee
Best app to replace flighttrackerpro. Well worth full paid version. Links with tripit.
  • Best Travel app for Apple Watch 5/5

    By andre moraes
It has a great complication for the apple watch face that gives you quick access to detais such as gate changes and delays.
  • Perfect App 😍 5/5

    By anandvadaje
    Makes traveling easier 😊
  • Confusing 3/5

    By ace apertura
this app is not so bad for flight status tracking. Its notifications are working fine. But the user interface is quite confusing. And to this day I still have not found out gate information in App in the Air. Usually, delays and gates are the most useful things. This App instead focuses on a lot of nonsense. Would be fine if it was $5 but that's what they ask per month.
  • Better than the competion. Wish more free features were included. 4/5

    By j0of
I like this app. I've used a few like TripItPro and others. This is an all-in-one type app. Accurate and works with the iWatch but I'm not sure it provides as much value as it should. We're not business travelers otherwise I think the paid feature would be beneficial. For that reason we don't want to pay the fee. We travel often enough that this is a go-to app just wished some basic features like alerts would be included with the free version.
  • Easy to use 4/5

    By Jcampfazio
Si,plea to search flights. Will have to see on travel dates how well it works
  • App in the air 5/5

    By Adtian8572
It was my first time using this app. It's absolutely amazing (on iphone and watch..sometimes on watch when you open the app directly from "complication" it's say "add flight from iphone" and you have to completely close the ⌚️ app and opening again. But overall I'm really glad that I've install this app. It's even works "offline " with airplane mode activated on both devices still works (iphone widget and complication on ⌚️ it's showing how much time left until landing or departing). Thank you all the team who's working on this beautiful app that actually works.
  • Super Great App 5/5

  • Pretty good. 4/5

    By Slippotot
Pretty good app if not a little bloated.
  • App in Air 3/5

    By glavndr88
I like the app but could use an update and made simplified....why does it have to cost so much
  • Great, but doesn't present the data well. 3/5

    By Jermination
I like it, it works. It really could do a lot better in the way he presents the data, and also shares a date out with your friends. Also, the automatic check in feature is somewhat annoying and doesn't always work.

  • It ties with Calendar 5/5

    By CineDirector
The ability to make an iOS Calendar entry for each flight is super helpful. It even compensates for timezone difference.

  • Love it 5/5

    By DearMarta
Switched to this app after FTP. Never regretted. By the way, overview of the flights you can see at the Trips screen.
  • More than flight tracker 5/5

    By jvelaskes
Best alternative to FTP, although I miss it
  • Unintuitive 3/5

    By Kleinias
I agree with some of the other reviewers here: 'App in the air' is unintuitive and does not present clear information at a glance. When I have multiple same day flights it's somewhat unclear as to which flight I'm looking at and what information corresponds to their respective flights. The stand out feature of this app are the alerts which I have found to be very fast and clearly display what is occurring (for instance flight delayed for 30 minutes). The alerts have so far been reliable and the fastest of any of the flight apps I've tried so far.
  • Fun gameification but... 1/5

    By Andy Lark
Missing key features ABs functions. Unusable in many ways. No password recovery or clear way to change. No AA memberships. No way to easily control memberships on membership screen. Is clunky. A great example of over emphasizing design at expense of key features and functions. Not worth the money. Go with Tripit.
  • Powerful but un-intuitive 3/5

    By MTT
Does lots of stuff, maybe everything you could possibly need, but doesn't really present it all that well. Not ideal for information at a glance, or intuitively knowing how to get things done.
  • Awesome app 5/5

    By Deepster67
    Great app a little expensive.
  • Half Baked, Money Grab! 1/5

    By App Reviewer 007
I really wanted to like this app David Pogue is that it was a pretty great app however, it's not. There are major flaws in this app including gate departure updates and the lack of major airline point systems. Well last I looked at the yearly price was $50 now it's $70 I thought $50 was overpriced and ridiculous $70 is completely outrageous!
  • Great app for tracking flights 5/5

    By JasonHaFi
A great app that integrates with TripIt.
  • Great app 4/5

    By SEsteves
I like it. Not as user friendly as I expected, that's why not a 5-star in my evaluation.
  • Loving this app 5/5

    By Arijl13
So far this has lived up to all It's promises! Great job!
  • App in the air 4/5

    By Darlie1009
My first time using it. Pretty cool.
  • Even the Free Version is Good 5/5

    By Chris1Kit2
I had a great flight tracker app that went defunct and I've been searching for a replacement. This is it! I receive updates for flights as they happen, gate changes, and baggage claim information. On other apps they use Google Maps for the airport maps and that drives me crazy. AppInTheAir has stand alone maps which are easy to use and load immediately. They also give me info about shops and restaurants in the terminals. This app does everything I was having to use multiple apps for. I am very satisfied with it and will probably buy the lifetime pay version!
  • It's ok 3/5

    By Em117
It's okay. I miss my old app (flight track).

  • Great! 5/5

    By Lils123456780
This is the only review I've ever written, this app has been so helpful on my multi-city trip I just had to praise it.
  • Great app for the air! 5/5

    By Jsayani
Sleek interface, up to date information!
  • Not bad 3/5

    By Holymonkees
I finally figured out that the flights take a beat to add. The developer told me how to dismiss the weird extra screens. Good developer response. I still don't love the app, but I and not as unhappy as I was before the developer responded
