Nice App 4/5
Still trying to figure out the graphics and why a flight imported from TripIt to this app lacks aircraft type info, whereas the same flight imported at the same time into Travel Update Pro has aircraft type info. Otherwise, seems to have many bells & whistles. 👍
This was $9.99 a year when I purchased it in 2016. $30 a year now? Money grab much?
Yes I like it. 5/5
Yes I like it more than any other travel apps.
Fix the Watch app rotation problem!!! 5/5
Watch app constantly starts upside down in the wrong orientation and the rotates. SUPER ANNOYING and never used to do this. Please fix!
Update: Wow. Prompt response to the above from the developer. Back to 5 stars!
Very responsive development team. Beautiful design. Wonderful app responsiveness. And it goes so far above and beyond what you’d expect from an app like this. Well worth the purchase if you travel even once a year.
Horrible UI/ Convoluted and complicate 2/5
This app attempts to do too many things at once and it throws information at you from all angles at the same time. This makes it very hard to focus on the flight details that matter. The auto-checkin feature works once you have a paid subscription but it is severely delayed. I had to check in manually for my Southwest Airlines flight as soon as they allowed me because one hour into the check-in window, AITA still said auto check-in would start in one hour and then after it “auto checked” (even though I had already checked in manually) it still was pending for at least another couple of hours before I saw the boarding pass in my email. For Southwest check-ins, this is unacceptable as the check-in order determines your place in the boarding line. This is why I didn’t take any chances and manually checked in after I saw that AITA was taking its time. The Apple Watch app is similarly confusing, breaking down the views into the different flight phases but with a confusing progress bar that goes from green to yellow and red which is the prominent info with the details that you want to see in very small font and out of the way. After I cancelled, the developer sent me an automated email asking me why did I cancelled my subscription which I replied to but have yet to hear back after two days of waiting. I recommend you stay away from this app unless the developer finds a way to simplify and redesign the UI or hires a UI designer. Also, I recommend the developer remove the hotel and rental car cards as well as other non-relevant to flight ones as they don’t do anything other than to store information which you should have anyway through your rental or hotel app and more importantly, can do something with that information.
Great app 5/5
By Trevinci in SA
Plenty of detailed and accurate information. Love the user interface.
Best flight management flight for iOS 5/5
Connect your Gmail account and get your travel itineraries synced automatically, and have all your travel plans at once. Flight tracking history with AR is just mind blowing. Favorite feature: automatic checkins and boarding notifications.
Love it 5/5
Lots of information
Love it 4/5
Suggestion for badges 5/5
Fantastic App. Recommend it all the time to people. (And to anyone reading this review)
One suggestion in relation to the badges, unless I’m missing how to do it. I was hoping you might be able to order them alphabetically and maybe have them sitting within smaller sub categories. ie. countries
Avoid this app. Sketchy billing practices. 1/5
I downloaded the free version. Deleted it from my phone after a few days. Then I got a bill for $30 for an annual subscription I didn’t sign up for!
Very dissatisfied 1/5
The app is shaky, bought the subscription. To try vs Flight Update Pro that I’ve been using flawlessly for years. I almost
Missed and international flight as this app doesn’t update the user. I was sitting in the lounge on an hour delay from the original time when Flight Update noticed the time had been pulled back to nearly the original departure time if it hadn’t I would have missed the flight. I feel the app is clumsy, not real clear in its use and doesn’t provide your arrival gate and departure gate on multi segment flights. Flight Update Pro does all that. I’m deleting the app and chalking it up to another attempted app project
Great App! 5/5
I like it! My trips are clearly documented already!
Works great and the fastest support I ever experienced!
Love this app
Great app and helps manage my busy flying schedule.
Needs work 2/5
Just installed, it scrapped my gmail for flights found my next flight but the dates are wrong and no way to edit in the app?!?!?
Seriously thats not ok
Purchase issue 1/5
I’ve purchased this app for $49.99 on my iPhone X and now I’m trying to use this app on my iPhone 7+ and it’s asking me to buy this app again????
I’ve already done that with the screenshots.
I love this app!!! 5/5
This is the best app for 2017. All travel junkies like me should have it!! Totally recommend it
So far so good 5/5
I enjoy having real-time updates. This also helps those with apple watches by taking out the need to worry about being informed promptly regarding flight changes.
Won’t sync with outlook or calendar 1/5
By Rod 15
Want to love this app but it won’t sync with my outlook or my calendar ☹️
Inaccurate data most of the time 1/5
The app may look pretty but I noticed that the information provided is often wrong.
For example, it’ll show that boarding is at 2:10 PM but it actually start at 1:30 PM.
I travel 50% of the time in a year using various flight (US domestics, Asian carriers, European carriers, etc.) so I can confidently say that the inaccuracies is there. I would NOT rely on this app for frequent traveler. Actually, even if you only fly once a year, you do NOT want to rely on this app since you may ended up missing your flight.
Best clutter app ever! 2/5
Notification pop-ups are consistently on from telling you to upgrade to their premium service to asking for permission for this or that.
I personally think the app is user friendly, but inefficient. If I have to enter my DOB for check in, why can't I just manually type in my date rather than scroll through the months/years back to my birthdate??
Looks great, however... 1/5
By Maui Kid
Update: So I just arrived in Dallas and AITA is telling me my connecting flight is leaving in 15 minutes. What??? My boarding pass has a different flight number and gate than the app. Two months ago American Airlines changed the flight number, but AITA didn’t pull the data. Talk about confusing. This trusted app says I should be boarding and AA says I’m on a different flight and gate!! Now I have to share this info with family who have been getting the wrong messages from this app. BTW, I’m using the trial of AITA. Sticking to TripIt, which is showing the correct flight info.
Going to try the trial this month and then update my review. 3 Stars for now.
First concerns. No United Airlines support. A dark theme would look amazing! Can’t update or delete airline memberships. About page has lots of misinformation on pricing and is confusing. Maybe minor, however attention to details should be important for an app such as this. Especially for the higher cost of this app.
The app appears to work well, but I will put it through the test this week and update my review. I should also mention that AITA has great customer support. They do return emails and read the app reviews. I’m just not sold on whether do anything with the information they receive from their customers. The next update may share some light on that.
Great info/interface, Poor database coordination 2/5
I was very excited when I first read the reviews and downloaded/opened the app: great, intuitive, and slick interface, useful data, and the opportunity to upgrade for additional useful features at a reasonable price.
However, I was sadly disappointed by the weak database integration. Well over half of the flights that I wanted to enter did not populate using the airline, flight number, and date; I needed to enter these flights manually, including the time of departure and time of arrival. These were a mix of domestic and international flights, mostly on AA, but also involving other carriers: there was consistently weak access.
Please note that my test of some 10 flights was mostly historic; but, all within the last 2 months.
This is an app that I would love to use. However, it is not yet ready for me.
Update 24 Dec 2017
I keep playing with the app: I want to find justification to use it. But, unfortunately, my update is to indicate that what I had indicated to be over half of the flights entered did not sync with the database proved to be a gross underestimate. Of the 44 flights that I logged into the system for 2017, no more than six or seven were recognized: all others needed to be entered manually.
Amazing app, but can you please fix the bug in the new version? 5/5
By Golden city
An app that you must have if you often fly - a lot of useful information about your flight! Moreover, it keeps a track of all your flights and shows your stats for each year. The new version is constantly lagging and keeps crashing when it just opens - can you please fix it?
Excellent app 5/5
As a professional flight attendant I find App in the Air to be one of the best products on the market it continues to do more and more for me as well. Well done guys!
Wallet / Loyalty Program issue 4/5
Very good app - one strange issue with you Wallet. In the list of Loyalty Programs one can not find United Airlines “Miles and More” - happens to be my airline....
Private flight log non existent 4/5
Would be nice if I could log private flights rather than flights strictly with an airline or major airport. I fly out of KFTG a lot but am never able to log it because it doesn’t have a flight number and isn’t with a regional or major airline. Have about 40 hours private missing from my stats.
The best; just download it 5/5
Is the best app ever
Good app 3/5
It’s a great app I love I can keep track of my past flights since I flight a lot. I just don’t know why someone would have to pay to receive notifications, or to auto-check in.
I mean, when you buy a flight ticket you receive an e mail sending you the information of the flight, on my iphone my calendar gets the info and keeps sending me information and notifications about the flight for free, I also can auto-check in on the airline’s internet page for free too, and so my family members.
I know who created this good app need to get a profit for doing this but I just don’t see my self paying for something I already have for free.
Besides that, is a good app I have used it more than 50 times, I would definitely pay to have it, but I will never pay for a subscription, it just doesn’t make sense.
i like to use it
Useful App, but... 3/5
I’ve been using this app for over a year now. Even though I’m overall happy with its performance and its ability to pull booking information from my email and calendar accounts, it’s missing a few “little things.”
I’d love to have the ability for the app to either pull or let me manually add additional hotel and rental car information when my trips are broken up within the same travel stays. An example: I’m traveling to NY this month. Staying on Staten Island a few days then, moving across the river to stay in Manhattan. I have two hotels and two rental cars booked during my but, the app only either allows or shows only one car and one hotel.
Like I said. Little things.
Good, but missing two must-have features 3/5
Hi, overall, I really enjoy this app. But I have two major concerns that I hope can be rectified in a future update: (1) I think there should be an option to have “Boarding at Gate XYZ” display on the iPhone and Apple Watch complication BEFORE boarding begins. It’s super unhelpful that Gate information doesn’t appear until it’s literally time to board. (2) As a big aircraft nerd, I’m really disappointed that the “Aircraft” tab of bookings is almost always blank. This is public information, so I do not understand this oversight. It would be really nice to have the Aircraft section actually work, with illustrations of the aircraft model, and also, seat configurations, which I now have to use a separate app for. If these concerns were addressed, I’d gladly rate this app 5 stars instead of 3.5 (which rounds down to 3).
Great app 5/5
Has it all
Over its perfect
Auto Import Doesn’t Work 2/5
Not sure why, but after adding my Google account, the app won’t find any of my upcoming flights.
Not the FlightTracker Replacement 1/5
Tried the app as a replacement and its clunky and complicated. Looking at FlightLogger and TripIt and they seem so much better.
Best travel app for the road warrior. 5/5
Great all around air travel app
Auto check in! 5/5
By Jason d3
Works great and saves me a lot of complications around frequent business travel.
Not happy 2/5
Not sure how to use and have no way to contact for help !!
Am I missing something ????
Great customer service 4/5
Cool app, very helpful when needed. The customer service is a "10". I recommend this app
Flight History Gone 2/5
By NYC TX Aggie
The new update deleted my flight History and data.
Cool app. I like it. if you are a frequent flyer, you will find it helpful.
Watch App crashes too often, Data deleted 1/5
Was a great phone app, been using for over a year and I used to like it. The watch app crashes too much though, making it unusable. I have deleted the app from the watch and phone and re-installed, app still doesn’t work on the watch. I get the logo with a loading circle and then it just goes back to the dashboard. And now my data has been deleted. All my miles and badges are now gone.
7.0.5 update fails to download 1/5
This update downloads at normal speed but always fails to install, appears corrupted. This happens on both an iPad Air and an iPhone SE, both running IOS 10.3.3. I haven't tried on IOS 11 yet. Fails twice after seemingly complete download each time with "could not be downloaded" message. 24-oct-17: although the release notes don't mention it, the newly-released 7.0.6 version fixes the installation problem.
No longer updating properly 4/5
I love this app but lately it is not logging my flights correctly. My trips are shown as past but my totals aren’t updating.
I lost all my data 1/5
By Jae us
I installed the latest version on my new iPhone and logged in with my Facebook account to get my travel history. But it shows nothing and when I logged in to the website I found that all my travel histories are gone. Noting is there. 0 hours 0miles.
It had no problem syncing it on a new phone before.
I wonder if you can restore all my travels. I really regret that I chose your app.
