Don’t like the new update 1/5
I had really enjoyed the old layout and workouts this new update the workouts are a bit mediocre and don’t really leave you feeling like you did anything - much preferred the workouts of old
Would be 5 ⭐️but.... 1/5
I understand that you have to pay for the extra workouts ect.. but t not be able to get any workouts without paying what’s the point in having the app free? Why not let people know your price upfront?
Frustrating user experience 1/5
I was really excited about the concept of this app but the free trial is impossible to enable. I’m not going to commit to 3 months of billing without being able to try any of the videos first. Their paywall policy and user experience need serious work.
High energy yoga, customizable programs 5/5
I have been practicing yoga regularly for a few years and I found yoga classes either too demanding or too low energy for my taste and level. This app tailors programs to your needs and keeps you accountable. It has great tips and you get visible results fast!
By make this app good again
I had been using this app for several months when they decided to basically cut the amount of free workouts in half. You used to be able to chose from a list of free workouts and you got a daily free workout that was around 10-20 min long.
The next time I updated it changed the daily workouts to only about 5 min long and severely cut the amount of free workouts.
I just updated it again and now you can only access the 5 min daily workout.
I contacted support and they did not offer me any help just said that the number of free workouts had been “reduced”.
Absolute garbage. Especially since I was considering purchasing a years subscription before this happened. They did not notify the users that this change would be made nor have they offered any kind of help.
4.99 a month 1/5
I wanted to sign up for a monthly payment but when i pressed it, they charged one years worth of payments.
Based on the subscription is why I’m giving it 2 stars 2/5
I thought I was paying a monthly charge of $5 but it charged me the full amount of $58.99.
Please do not ONLY show the monthly breakdown cost for the yearly membership. You trick people into thinking they’re paying a mo they cost when they’re not!
The least you could do is put the yearly price of $58.99 with a monthly breakdown so people who want to subscribe knows how much they’re expecting to pay. If you can fix that then I’ll change my review
I haven’t personally tried the app yet. Hopefully later today I will
EDITTED: Happy with feedback response...(They’ve changed too much and now it’s not the same :( 4/5
EDIT: I received feedback that I am able to access the old workouts, and so I wanted to edit my review. I had been looking at other yoga apps to replace this one, and while I did find some others that were ok, this one still has a smoother way of doing the workouts. After learning that I am able to access the past workouts before they changed them, I am very pleased to be able to use this app again effectively.
They mentioned that they will make an effort to be more transparent when they update the app, which I really appreciate and will be happy to continue giving it a run.
(I subscribed to the full year in June of 2017 and I was really happy and loving it at that time, I really noticed a difference in my strength and fitness and the way my body looked... I loved it because I got to know the workouts and I could feel comfortable doing them because I have anxiety and OCD and so a routine is really part of my mental health.
The last few updates though...ever since they changed the logo it’s been going down hill. The last update started changing COMPLETELY a lot of the workouts that I relied on and loved and they didn’t even tell us it was going to change. Now suddenly it’s like a brand new app, it doesn’t preview things, it goes too fast, it uses words that are not commonly known so you can’t help but be behind of the freaking gymnast they have instructing the workouts and feeling miserable about yourself.
I hate the new version. I wish I could have the old one back.. I literally started crying in grief during my last workout. I guess it’s time to find a new workout routine :’-(. When I contacted them about their updates originally they’re response was just “oh well we’re changing to meet the feel of our members”. How do they know that if they just update things without asking their members? Seems like they just do what they want and don’t care about their subscribers. It was great the way it was, and then they ruined it.
Can I go back like....6 updates?
:’-( :’-( :’-(. )
I've tried several yoga apps 5/5
I love this one the best by far.
Outstanding is an understatement 5/5
By Ironman 4Life
Probably one of the best fitness apps you’ll ever find. I truly enjoy the seemingly endless variety of yoga routines provided, each targeting specific areas. Whether you were a complete novice like myself or an expert, this app is sure to satisfy even the most seasoned of yoga practitioners. I can’t thank Asana Rebel enough for the difference it’s made in my life - I’m an avid runner and triathlete, and it’s paying huge dividends in my training in terms of endurance, stability, and overall fitness level. An added bonus: you drop weight pretty quickly. Overall, the app is second to none.
MONEY GRAB 1/5
Just terrible... from the moment you open it everything you touch is geared toward your wallet. There may be a way to get a free sample of what this program offers.... but good luck navigating thru all the minefields of click bait.
A shame... if you’d just be bit more fair and ethical upfront people like myself just might have bought your program... as is you can keep it
Really helpful all! 5/5
By Lilia at RYISE
Sticking to yoga has been hard for me. I love that the workouts here last exactly the time that's shown, including the warm up. It's so much easier to commit to a 30 min pleasurable work out and know that there is nothing else involved. Half an hour and you are done.
Very useful 5/5
The 5 minute workouts are a great way to get you started. They motivate you to wanna pay for the full app and get going. The routines move a little quick for beginners, but instructions are clear so it’s not hard to catch on. It’s worth it
They advertise the years plan as being 4,95 a month but charged me all at once.
Bigger hit to my bank account that I was not expecting to be charger right now.
They should make it clear that it’s be charged all at once.
I probably would’ve chosen another plan had I known
Great workout! 5/5
I use this app almost every day. It is a great mid-work-day workout.
Tricking people into paying 1/5
I thoroughly enjoyed using this app & even recommended to others & considered paying for the premium access but have reconsidered since the updates continue to limit the exercises accessible without paying. It’s ridiculous!
The new update is a little bit disappointing 3/5
I downloaded the free version of this. And I've done 48 workouts since I got it. I love the choice to do a quick five-minute every day workout or a more intense workout of the day. Getting to see my progress on my profile is also a fantastic feature. As someone who is new to yoga it also has a wonderful feature where you can see each exercise in position in video form and described for you.
I've only been using it since November and I already notice a huge difference in my body. I'm more toned overall, my abs have come back, and my flexibility is back to when I used to be a professional dancer. With every workout I feel more fit and in control of my movements.
One of the best parts of this app is how easy it is to fit it into my every day schedule. There's no excuse for me not to be able to do something. I can take it anywhere and be able to get a quick workout in. I love the idea that whereas before I didn't have enough time to do something during my day now I can always have time to do something instead of nothing.
Seriously, do yourself a favor and download this app. You'll start feeling better about yourself in a week tops.
I have paid to be able to do the programs. However, I was disappointed with a few of them when I discovered they are the same work out on different days of the week. I wish they were more varied. Also, they have discontinued the daily work out. There is still the free short work out but I do miss the option of having that longer work out that is different every day.
Used to love it 2/5
I loved this app so much but then they changed it so you could not do workouts, except the 5 minute daily, for free. And they changed the types of workouts to add jumps and bounces. So even if I bought the subscription, I’m not sure I would like the new workouts. Please go back to the old, more yoga inspired workouts and include a few for free!!
Having a good time going through all the sets! Expanding my yoga routine ❤️ 5/5
By pity smiles
Thank you 🙏
Ive loved this app for a year .. but they have made so many changes to the workouts lately .. the app is still easy to use , but the new workout are not as good. I will not renew
By Kebby 1987
It was good at first, but it doesn’t really leave room to do more. I plateaued frequently and felt bored. I think recently they redid a lot of the routines and it’s just not as good. I wanted to do a routine that focused on core muscles / abs and tried the core I routine...it focused on everything but my core, and I spent more time doing squats and balancing moves that had nothing to do with my abs. This irritated me because I wasted my time on a routine that had nothing to do with what I wanted to focus on. Asana Rebel, disappointing. Will delete the app and try a new one.
Asana rebel 5/5
Very good app. My heart rate was up and I built strength and flexibility. But after writing this review I cannot access the app anymore. This is very irritating and now I have to make my second call to Apple today.
You have to pay for everything 1/5
This used to be an AMAZING app with plenty of options on the free version, but more options if you wanted to pay. It was a great app for everyone! However, with every update they locked more and more things so you could only access them with a subscription. Now if you don’t want to pay, you really can’t do anything at all. Sad to see such a great app that had options for everyone become so limited.
Love it! 5/5
I have a personal yoga instructor at home anytime. The workouts give me many options. The fact that there are short and long workouts really helps me. The days of gym memberships that cost an arm and a leg and rarely get used are over. I can stay in shape and build strength and flexibility at home on my mat! I love it.
Bad newest update 3/5
I used to use this app every day. I do not like the new videos; the woman is so flexible that the positions do not look possible, and the videos have turned into workouts instead of flowing to yoga positions, like the previous videos were. Deleting the app, and doing yoga on my own instead.
Amazing app 5/5
By sharles barkley
Asana rebel is awesome. I have the premium version and it gets me motivated to work out every day like nothing else has. The workouts are exciting and dynamic. The new warmup/cool down feature is excellent. It’s a super smooth transition into savasana. Love it
Me encanta! 5/5
Almost Perfect 4/5
I absolutely love these workouts. They’re fast and interesting and actually make yoga into a fat burning challenge. Honestly after 2+ months of using it regularly (4-5 x a week) without doing any other workouts I am way more toned and have flattened my flab. The app has a few bugs. My biggest disappointment is with navigating the programs. Sometimes it switches days before midnight - often I end up working out at 10pm - and then it looks like I “missed” a day. Also when I finished a 4 week program I was expecting it to notify me it was complete and prompt me to start a new one but it just kept continuing. More content and a bit better UI would make this the perfect workout app for people who like yoga but want a faster challenge.
I’ve noticed a difference in 2 weeks 5/5
I love this app
Fantastic despite qualms 5/5
I honestly felt weary to enroll into the full membership, given all the negativity. But having done it, what I got was one truly great app. I love the pace and the versatility, especially for my 100-hour work week schedule. For me, at least, the best premium yoga app I've been subscribed to. Found the customer support to be very responsive about any question. As far as bugs, so far I haven't seen any. Overall, I highly recommend.
New workout good but BUGGY! 2/5
The video keeps freezing while the audio continues. It would be helpful to be able to rewind bits rather than the entire set.
The only yoga fitness app? 2/5
By Penny Johnson
Curious how they can claim to be the ONLY yoga fitness app in the world? I personally have a handful of yoga fitness apps and I’ve liked them all more than this one.
not worth 1/5
don't get caught in the trap...trainings are too easy and very slow paced....fro a true fitness app look elsewhere..not to mention the fact that no full free trial is available...
Old guy 5/5
The longer programs are great, but this app also provides short bursts of yoga perfect for a little yoga in the morning to loosen you up and a little yoga before bed so you relax and sleep all night.
I go into really long depressive episodes sometimes and nothing could get me outta bed or feeling better. Not even a nice hot shower! But I gave this a shot and now I’m looking forward to coming home and exercising. (I know right? Weird) The cool down definitely relaxes every part of your body and just brings and over all calmness to you. I recommend to any and everyone. Please try it!
Exactly what I was looking for 4/5
I’m happy with the app and company. It’s affordable and is exactly what I needed to work yoga into my daily routine!
Overcharged my account!! 1/5
I signed up for a subscription for the year as the app was advertising a $5.00 special for a year long subscription that would renew at the full price if not cancelled by February 2019. However, my account was charged the full $58.00 for the subscription and not the advertised $5.00. I cancelled the subscription the same day once I saw that they had charged my account the full amount. I was told by Apple I could not receive a refund, but I would like to be refunded since the app mis-advertised the price!!
Why are there always so many problems with this app? If I log out and log in again, it never shows that I purchased a subscription. Then I try to refresh it and it never works. Always have to delete the app and reinstate it on my phone. Even then it doesn’t always work. Just lost all my previous data after I updated my email. Getting really tired of these hassles. 😕
Need to pay 1/5
No free workouts or yoga routines. Must pay in order to view anything.
Don’t Enjoy the Update As Much As I Wanted To 4/5
By California Trash Panda
I liked the woman who led the exercises before the update. The app all around is great but the way the exercises were led before the update was more relatable for people who haven’t done yoga before or don’t do it regularly. Some of the moves are very advanced, which is a fun challenge, but it felt more relaxing before the update.
Best work out 5/5
Love your app and the exercise routines. Love the fact that I can do it anytime any were.
I love yoga and was excited to see this app, however, I decided to get the 7 day trial before I purchase for a year! I was only able to access one very basic workout of 5 minutes with bad sound, you can’t even see what she’s doing with her feet, very poorly and nonprofessionally done. Everything else is a subscription. And after reading the reviews I realize I’ll not the only one. I’m uninstalling!
Features + variety = great! Technical support...not so much 3/5
Asana Rebel overall is my favorite way of practicing yoga; I’ve used it for over a year now. I like the coaching plans and workouts; Asana recently made an overhaul of its workouts and I like them - within a routine, there isn’t any repetition (I get bored easily). Downsides: with the new version, you can’t mirror workouts to your TV, even if you have an Apple mobile device and Apple TV. The app seems to believe you’re trying to record the workout, based on the error message you get.
Yes, there is an Apple TV Asana Rebel app. Two dealbreaker problems with it: A) 4 out of 5 times, the TV app freezes during a workout, and there is no way to continue from that point other than starting over. Nope. B) The two apps (TV and mobile) don’t always talk to each other. They usually don’t talk with my Apple Watch either.
I like the workouts enough to continue to subscribe, but if there were ever a dealbreaker issue with the mobile device app, I’d have a decision to make. I’ve reached out to technical support about the above issues, but there’s been no resolution.
STOLEN MY MONEY 1/5
The offer was 4,99 but the charge me 58,99 !
Keeps me moving 5/5
I love this yoga app! I have been really struggling with back pain. Since I have been doing the core workout, the pain is almost never there anymore. Wonderful!
Workouts I actually want to do 5/5
I have never been athletic, flexible, and have had trouble finding exercise I enjoy and am able to keep up with. After only three weeks on the Asana Rebel Bikini Body program, I am absolutely hooked and have never missed a workout! I feel stronger, have more energy, and am finding the poses and exercises easier every time I do them. The routines are both gentle and challenging, encouraging you to take a few breaths in between sets. So if the high-intensity, drill sergeant personal trainer thing isn’t for you, I’d strongly recommend this app. Yes, the workouts aren’t free, but are way cheaper annually than a few months’ worth of yoga classes. This app has taught me so much and I can’t wait to try another program!
App won’t allow you in before subscription. The register “as new user” doesn’t work; only option that worked was with Facebook sign in. Other option didn’t work. Finally gave in and after they collected my Facebook profile info, then you get the subscription info. Without paid subscription you can’t navigate any part of the app too see what you will be paying for. Hate misleading apps.

I used to really enjoy this app. However they recently did an update that has made it very frustrating. I used to be able to do one of the pro workouts each day without having to pay. If I saw results in a certain period of time I was going to pay the subscription. However, after the update it will no longer rotate each day through one of the pro workouts making them free for the day. Since I have not hit that allotted time period yet I will not be paying.
I didnt mean to buy this subscription, i dont know how they did it but charged me with the one year subscription which I DID NOT WANT!!
and they won’t give me a refund!! i contacted apple support the next day that i saw i was charged $58 for this App!!!
WHY WOULD I PAY FOR YOGA VIDEOS WHERE I CAN GET THEM FOR FREE ON THE WEB!!!
Great app! Love the different levels
