Nice banking system! 5/5
No other bank has very easy and clear banking system in US. I used my credit card different parts of the world. Even I used in plane. No issue. Online system is so clear and understandable.
Terrible UX 1/5
App is clunky and hard to use. Buttons are hidden behind menus. You can’t Flow through the app using natural iOS gestures. Stupid notifications that are not easy to clear within the app (like when payments post), and the annoying notification that lets you know you’re timed out after using the app. I feel angry when I use this app because it is just that obnoxious. Please hire an actually talented UX designer.

This app is so helpful. My only complaint is that after an update a few months ago, I am no longer getting notifications or badge icons, even though all settings are correct. The alerts are only visible within the app itself once I am logged in. I prefer the instant notification they used before.
GUI Gap on splash screen 3/5

There is a gap on the 1st splash screen when user opens the app before FACE ID. It looks like a white line and it’s located in the status bar. It’s on the screen for only seconds but still has to be fixed.

Every time that I scan my checks from few of my clients to my mobile app, it shows the red x or the app in itself crashes at times. The mobile app from the android side works extremely well!

After I installed latest update today, the app will no longer load.

After these last two updates, I am unable to get notifications on my phone! I was stupid enough to make a phone call to BofA and the people were of zero help. Didn't understand how in my Settings//Notifications// there's no BofA application in there. As if the app no longer provides notifications.

Doesn’t work on iPhone X 1/5
Hi Mike, I hope this is an okay to communicate. The solution that you proposed did not work — I get the same outcome. It possibly could be because I am downloading the same corrupted file from iCloud. I saw your response in a different review instructing the user to download the app from the App Store and not iCloud, but unfortunately I cannot how figure out how to do that. Can you give me instructions on how? Of course, if that wouldn’t be a solution, do you have any other ideas? Thanks!
I can’t use the app on my iPhone X. When I launch the app and land on the login page, I immediately (before entering any login or password data) get an Error message that says: “We’re sorry, we weren’t able to complete your request. Please try again.” A retry button is provided, but it just takes you to the beginning of the cycle. And this is as far as I can get. The app consequently is unusable. Again, I have an iPhone X running iOS 11.2. (Help — I historically have loved the app!)

Why is it so complicated to pay my credit card!
Most credit card companies give you an easy way to link your external checking account to pay for credit card balance.
BofA App is very complicated, when I click on Make a Payment, It is asking me to add the “BofA” credit card as a payee in the Pay bill tab? Like why can’t I just set up my payment option inside the make a payment button and make my life easier ??
People don’t have time to spend 20 mins setting up credit card payment I could open another credit card with more convenient payment system in less than that.

Since last update and the one I just did today I can’t even open the app. It tells me the is no network connection when it clearly is either by WiFi or LTE. Frustrating.

I can no longer log on to this app if I don’t have a WiFi connection. What use is it to me? If I have WiFi I can use my laptop, why then bother with a mobile app? So frustrating I am considering leaving BOA this is the last straw

App needs to be refreshed and updated. Seems to be very clumsy in the way the app flows. It is also the least attractive vs other banks. Bill pay is very confusing. I also think bill pay should take the find out of your account when you initiate a transfer. Not days later when it’s received by the company you’re sending it to. Can cause bounced payments if you don’t pay close attention.

It’s so easy to use and you’re able to send and receive money in the palm of your hand. To be able to see all your transactions and know your balance when ever you want. I like that you can now use zelle to send, receive and split with friends and family that doesn’t bank of BofA.
Missing my alerts history for some time 4/5
Since the last few updates when I go to my alerts history I never see anything. I just get the you currently have no alerts message. I rely on that a lot and is a bummer it is not working. I have re installed the app which didn’t work. Just FYI.

*FIXED* Repeatedly asks security question 5/5
Reinstalling the app fixed the repeated security question issue. It may have been because I restored from backup. Back to 5 stars!
ORIGINAL REVIEW: This app is great except for the fact that it asks me a security question every time it scans my face with Face ID. Kinda defeats the purpose of Face ID if I have to type out my answer at every login.
I’ve tried tapping ‘remember this phone’, ‘don’t remember this phone’, and I’ve tried restarting the app but it always asks me a security question no matter what. If this gets fixed I’ll change my rating to 5 stars.

I’ve had this app for years and even though they have made some improvements WHY CANT YOU GET UP TO DATE AND LET ME PAY FROM MY APP LIKE EVERYONE ELSE?!?!? This has to be one of the most requested things! I can’t pay my cc on the app with my other bank that I have set up online! I have get on a computer and login to pay!

Easy to use for basic daily, ex withdraw, transfer or pay bills. Only one concern is you must set up bill pay by computer.
Still Missing Lock/Unlock Feature for CCs 2/5
Company is great. Bank is great. Customer Service is great. The app for the most part is great. However, the app and online banking is missing a crucial feature that other competitor banks/credit card companies currently have - the ability to lock and unlock our credit cards.
Please consider adding this feature for credit cards, the same way we can lock and unlock our debit card. This is a feature that is offered by both Discover and Citi - I know this fact first hand because I have their credit cards too. BofA monitoring my credit cards for fraudulent activity is all well and good, however, I also want peace of mind on my end by being able to control when my card is accessible.
I hate to have to give a two star rating even though I love your app and have no other issues with it. I do so because this feature is very important to me and I can imagine is important to many other customers.
I've been with this bank for many years, and I love this app. It help me out many of times when I'm unsure what amount is in my account.

Since down grading to iOS 11, I no longer get daily balance notifications, or deposit or withdrawal notification. None at all. Please don’t tell me I have to delete the app and reinstall. I don’t want to have to re-enter bill pay info!!
I have always had BofA notifications on. It still is. But I haven’t gotten a notify since installing iOS 11. Now on 11.2. No help. Thanks for your quick reply. I don’t think this is your problem. It all happened with iOS 11. But this is weird. I did get a notification of your reply? What the stink is going on?? Thanks again.

This App could learn a lot from Citi, USAA, and AmEx, to name a few. Almost everything I try to do in app (e.g. pay my BoA credit card) results in a message that this isn’t possible on the mobile app and to head to the desktop version. If all you need to do is view your transactions in an ugly interface, this is the app for you. Suggestion: skip building another BoA ATM and instead hire some programmers and designers to overhaul your app. The 2010s are calling!
Great product but needs something 5/5
Not much to say. It works. Has all the features you expect and want. I don’t think this issue is just with the mobile app but also with olb in general with bofa; the alerts need to be in REAL TIME! Not the next day when it’s already too late. Also olb and molb need a standard check register that can be shared with spouse or account co-owners. No matter what technology comes out a check register is the best way to manage your funds.
