Just stop with your updates, this app used to be good now it’s went horribly wrong after there push of updates for apparent fixes.. ya okay , If I could do 0/10 I would.
Good speaker, HORRIBLE APP!! 1/5
I can connect to speaker and play music however many of the app options are grayed out. The equalizer and alarm are grayed out as well as all but one of the options under settings. Tried to send an email to the contact support option in the app and it failed too. Called support and was on hold forever and they never answered. C’mon Logitech can’t you even write a simple app? Or did you have some interns do this?

I am frustrated with this App, it used to work great. Now I cannot get the Equalizer to work at all. It keeps telling me it needs an update then redirects me to a web page that is no longer there, whats up with you UE ???????

It seems every update fixes something and breaks something else. I can no longer change the volume remotely from my device. A MAJOR drawback
Didn’t need the app before but now with a new phone it’s required and I have to update the speaker? Why? I can’t even turn down the speaker with the volume controls on the dang thing so it’s at max level all the time. It seems that UE is in the business of tracking people and data mining now. Don’t see any other reason for this nonsense. Don’t buy this garbage if you haven’t already.

First off, I would like to say my previous review was a 3 due to the app being average quality, poor menu layouts, and remote power would only power off but not back on. But now with the new update, the first thing I noticed is I can immediately power up my speaker with my phone. I will not harp on how this should’ve been fixed a long time ago, but it is refreshing to see the company working on bugs and being able to access all the features to my superb speaker.

Bought a Boom 2 a couple weeks ago and it’s been great except the Remote On feature never worked. With this update it finally works!

Bought this speaker 2 weeks ago. Couldn’t use the remote power on functionality. That was one of the main reasons I’ve decided to purchase this speaker. Today’s update fixed this issue! Happy camper now. 😊
Loved the app for the longest time, but slowly it got worse. First I lost the ability to play music as an alarm. Now with this update I’m unable to turn my speaker on and off from my phone. That was literally the best part of buying these speakers and now it’s gone. Wow.
When I first got the app it was great.
Sense the update I can’t control the speaker with my iPhone. It says it won’t work with my device and I have a iPhone 7plus. And when you try to contact costumer service they don’t respond. I have never bought anything that downgraded after you bought it.

Ue boom 2 “Lets Hook Up” problem 3/5
Hopefully this next update fixes the app, because I can turn off my ue boom 2 with my iPhone 7, but I can’t turn it back on. With my galaxy s7, I can turn it on and off no problem.. Hopefully this next update fixes everything because I’m very dissatisfied with this bull.
I have had my Boom 2s for a while now. I absolutely loved them and recommended them to many people (who actually ended buying them). BUT the last few updates have broken every single usable feature! I can’t double up anymore without ridiculous static. The software/firmware update from 2 days broke the app completely and it can’t even see the speakers anymore despite being connected in my Bluetooth settings. I don’t know if this has anything to do with my iPhone X but this is unacceptable. I have always had iPhones and there is no reason for a new one to cause these issues. I’d return them ASAP if I could.

I love my UE Boom speakers. I have surround sound in my office. Works great with my IPhone. I haven’t tried to connect to TV. But overall I couldn’t ask for a better sound in such a small speaker. Thanks!!

The only satisfaction I had was slamming the speaker on the ground multiple times until it shattered. It took a while. The UE Boom simply would not connect or failed to charge after several months. Just the product is built to fail. My recommendation is if your going to buy this expensive piece of trash just do yourself a favor and get a Bose.

The sound is amazing, although I think there could be more pre-set equalizer settings.
Generally I have no problems. The App can be a pain sometimes...just make sure you update your speaker when it needs to be updated and if that doesn't work close the app or even re download it.

Same issues with MEGABOOM & UEBOOM 2
Every time an update is released for the app and speaker firmware, I loose features.
#1 The iPhone X is out....WHY DID YOU RELEASE AN UPDATE WITHOUT UTILIZING THE ENTIRE SCREEN?!?
#2 I lost Remote Power several updates ago. 😡 What is Bluetooth Smart?!? I had to search forums and other reviews to figure out how to fix my remote power.
#3 After the latest update, PartyUp doesn’t work. The screen to add speakers has a gray bar at the bottom and if I try to scroll up I can see half of all my other UEBOOMS but I get an error.
#4 What happened to the option in PartyUp that allowed the sound to be switched between true stereo and normal sound when you have only two UEBOOMS connected?
#5 The new app logo looks terrible!! Very unpleasant. The old app icon was much nicer.
#6 Why do I need a different app for every speaker?? Surely there is a designer out there that can come up with one app that allows you to control all the UEBOOMS together.
#7 I had to turn off the Alert Sounds because now they all play at maximum volume. It’s very startling when the speaker makes an alert sound at the highest volume even though the speaker is turned all the way down.
Im very confused as to how these speakers are getting worse the longer I own them. You would expect the updates to improve or add functionally not take it away.

After months of a faulty app I thought the latest update (nov 17) would resolve the app crash issues... but no! Still immediately crashes if you open alarm function. What a shame. Loved this feature. Now I don’t use the speaker at all anymore.

Simple, useful app. The EQ feature is helpful for lowering bass for podcast listening. The new “BOOM” and “MEGABOOM” app icons are an affront, though, and they add a most generic-looking detail to my iPhone’s home screen.

I don’t understand why they would make a product that to use an of its special features you’d need an app, then proceed to make the app completely useless.
I tried to avoid updating my speakers because from what I read from reviews it causes nothing but trouble but some how one of them ended up updating and I couldn’t double up with my other speaker. So I ended up updating the other one as well. Now when I play music the speaker has a light hissing noise in the back and it wasn’t there yesterday. I just got these speakers yesterday and I’m already experiencing issues which really upsets me. I looked up what my issue could be and it said the firmware, like how do you mess this up so badly? My advice skip the app all together and never update your boom. The update is for show and only causes trouble for you and your speaker. I’m still searching how to reset them to factory settings and haven’t found any luck. Just stay away from the app and update all together it’s not worth it.

sound is great but the app doesn’t work properly. remote power only works to turn it off. I have to manually turn on the speaker and reconnect the Bluetooth every time as the app does not remotely power on the boom 2. I wish I had read the negative reviews before buying the speaker as its apparently been a problem for many months and logitech won't or can't fix the problem.

Hello UE Boom app developers. I would to thank you for your hard work on this application. There is one con that i have that is kinda making me angry. On my iPhone 6s . I cannot remote control the app . I cannot turn it off and on on my ue boom. Can you please fix the problems on the 6s. On my old iPhone 6 it works .

I bought a UE Miniboom from Verizon (paid $100) and then this company (Logitech) decided not to upgrade the software. Now the thing is a paperweight and the company refuses to respond to my repeated emails asking what to do! Not even a response other than an automated “thank you for your request, we value you” blah blah blah. They are a joke.

I don't often leave reviews, but this app just doesn't work. I have my speaker connected to my phone before I open the app. Once I open it, it disconnects. I can re-pair it, but it will disconnect once I open the app again. The only thing the app tells me to do is connect my speaker. Better yet, the FAQ link in the app directs you to a link that doesn't exist. It's a terrible app all over.

I find it ridiculous that a person cannot pair all of UE’s speakers together. One can pair 50 Wonderbooms together, or 25 Boom 2 and 25 Megabooms, but not Boom 2 and Wonderboom together? Get it together, UE.
This app use to work extremely well occasionally having the hiccup with group speaker playing. With the newest update however the app has completely bricked. I will have my speaker connected and functioning fine but the moment I open the app it kicks off the speaker from my Bluetooth. I genuinely hope the devs revamp the app back to its good ol' self again.

App was good but now there is an update so that I can use the equalizer and it won't let me update I click on it and nothing happens then I go to the website and it says sorry page cannot be displayed is there a better way or something wrong that I'm going to update it
Never connects after migrating to iPhone X 2/5
I have two UE Boom II speakers and just upgraded from an iPhone 7 Plus to the iPhone X. With the 7, I was always able to start up and connect to the speakers with the app. With the X, I have to turn on my “Left” speaker and the use the iPhone Bluetooth settings to connect. Once that is completed, I can then use the app to turn on and connect the “Right” speaker.
The app will turn on the speakers, but it’s not able to make the audio connection. It’s really annoying.

I am getting a notification that says the remote control does not work and is not compatible with my device when it was just working recently. I am unable to turn the remote switch on. The notification I got was not accessible with voiceover. Please fix this and make the app accessible for voiceover users.
Old review:I love the speaker. The tap controls do not work most of the time and are slow to respond. More importantly, the remote feature doesn't always work when Bluetooth and the speaker are on. The menus and buttons are not accessible with voiceover. Also the latest update to the speakers Bluetooth made the connection with the iPhone worse and audio quality suffers as a result.

You REALLY need to fix that "Let's hook up error" I can't restart my phone every time it happens (and closing the app doesn't do it). Also, you need to figure out a better way to let me manage both speakers individually or combined, not to mention that I have to go to my bluetooth settings and "connect" each speaker every single time. My music recognizes my other Bluetooth devices without me having to reconnect, why not this one? The alarm option wasn't working great either the last time. --- wrote this review over 6 months ago and nothing has changed, except that now these speaker seem to be hard for other devices to recognize 😒

worked fine before update now its hopeless. keeps turning itself on and waking me up in the middle of the night and i NEVER used the alarm feature never touched it but now i cant stop it. had to put the speaker in the garage where it no doubt wakes the dog! 🐶

UPDATE: still several months since it quit working and still no fix from developers. I am going to make sure I leave reviews on the UE products themselves about how bad the apps are.
Suddenly quit connecting to my speaker. Speaker is paired but app doesn't seem to care anymore. I see others are have same issue so hopefully an update will come soon to fix this new problem.

I have to re connect my speaker every time I use it. Meaning I have to manually turn on the speaker when I open the app and it takes me through the whole set up process every time. Which means the only thing it’s good for is volume control AFTER the time taken to set up. Which is just stupid because the phone will control the volume remotely without the app. Don’t bother with the app it’s useless.
