Logging food becomes a habit. I plan my eating for every meal to stay within my calorie goal. No more mindless eating. I try to balance protein, fat and carbs. It encourages me to exercise so I can eat more. Now I don't even want desserts or snacks, too many calories.

This is the 6th app I've tried for tracking calories, carb, etc. they are all crap. I thought this one was it until I entered in my food diary 1 cup oatmeal for breakfast, it couldn't tell me calories, I had to enter it.... if I have to look it up why do I need this app. What's worse is before you know how it works you have to log in, give an email. Now I will get a couple weeks of crap before the "unsubscribe" kicks in. I guess it's still not as bad as the app I paid $5.99 for only to delete it writhing a minute or two of using.

I really like this app. There are a lot of features, the interface makes sense, and I definitely appreciate the ability to create and save recipes.
One flaw with this app is that it doesn't accurately count your steps from the phone. Many times I've found significant disparities between the iPhone count and this app's count. I advise another device to track your steps.
Another flaw is that there's no calorie count for strength training - it's instead under cardio. Annoying, but not a deal breaker.
All in all, this app is worth the download.
An absolutely excellent app. Tracks everything appropriately and even breaks down the amount of protein. And it is free. I highly recommend. I have been using it for years and never had an issue.

With this App I can review the nutritional contribution to my day BEFORE I eat something! This makes a huge difference in weight loss goals. I eat for nutrition now rather than just eating. Many times I have chosen not to eat something after learning the nutritional impact on my day thru this app. I love it!!!

Overall I'm really enjoying this app, but there is still room for improvements. I love the ease of use as far as entering my food, and that it syncs with my fit watch. One of my favorite things is that you can easily download a recipe instead of entering item by item, and edit that recipe if you choose. I do wish that it would atomically calculate net carbs, versus me having to do it myself. I feel if I'm paying for something it should do all the work I need it to.

With the combination of MFP, hard work, dedication, diet and lots of exercise: I have lost 53lbs. I am so much happier. The important thing to remember is that it is a lifestyle change and MFP makes that easier by breaking down the composition of each food you eat (fat, protein, carbs, sodium, etc). In time, you learn to make healthier decisions automatically.

This app is amazing! I'll admit, it is a pain putting everything you eat and drink into it, but that's what you have to do to lose weight. I started using this app the 29th of December and it is the 22 of January now. I have lost 5.8 pounds using this app!!! I highly recommend this app! You can even scan the barcode of what you eat for easy input into the app!

I was tracking activity and runs with Garmin Connect and synced MyFitnessPal reluctantly. MFP turned out to be a super useful tool for the fueling and nutrition side and of the my fitness/wellness management. I now have a solid idea of what I need and don't need from my diet in terms of calories and nutrients. For the first time I feel like I have the tool to make short term decisions for my long term goals. The combination of Garmin Connect & MyFitness Pal has been a lifestyle changed for me.

Very easy to use and extremely useful app. I have used a copy of food tracking apps and this the best by far.
I've lost 4 pounds in one week! This app has helped learn where I was going wrong with my diet. Tracking strength exercise is somewhat limited so I've had to categorize it as cardio to log calories burned. Other than that I love it.
