UPDATED: Carbohydrates back! 4/5
Thank you for fixing the carbohydrate details in your latest update!
Carb count removal *UPDATED 5/5
By Sugarbaby Mom
ETA: Thank you for fixing the removal of the carb counts so quickly. This has always been our go to app to treat our daughter. So glad we’re able to use it once again!
We used to use this app all the time to help calculate carb counts for my T1D daughter. Now that you do not include this information, it’s completely worthless. It was recommended by our endocrinologist and we were give the hard copy book for home. Very disappointed.
Need to find a new app 1/5
This was my go to app for counting macros.
How do you get rid of carbs??????? That’s crazy.
Dangerously inaccurate! 1/5
Im a type 1 diabetic that has used your app for years but I’m losing confidence in the information you provide. If I could give it a 0 I would.
Not only is the data in the oz serving incorrect; it is dangerously misleading. I hope anyone with a health condition that relies on accurate nutrition info to live realizes your app is wrong before they end up in the hospital.
1 oz of Wheat Bread = 494.6g carbs??
1 oz of cucumber = 36.3g carbs??
Can I still trust your nutrition info? Would your health and insurance partners still recommend you with such inaccurate information?
PLEASE PLEASE review your quality assurance and testing before you release updates. People’s health and wellness are at risk.
Where did the carb count go to after update 5/5
I don’t like the new app, the carb count is missing and is very much needed info. I use this app to help me control my type 1 diabetes and weigh my food, but now it doesn’t show carbs based off the weight, it did before the app updated. Please add this back, please.
Revised rating of 5 stars now that the Carb count is back on the app, thank you for all the work, this is very helpful for us type 1 diabetics that are on a carb ratio. This is very helpful to my 15 year old type 1 and myself, thanks again.
Unstable application - recently lost carb counts! 1/5
Too many bugs and software defects for reliable use
Where did the carb counts go?? 1/5
As a mother of a child with Type 1 Diabetes, I use your app multiple times a day to calculate her carb intake. Please bring back the carb counts!
Carb count fixed! 5/5
I originally gave the last update 1 Star because it no longer had the carb count feature. That has been quickly fixed and the new update makes this a great app again!
Complete failure 1/5
$1.49 a month to get rid of ads.
Then you released a major update WITHOUT carbohydrate info. We are parents to a Type 1 and have relied on the old app to calculate carb ratios. Or even your physical book they gave us in the ER.
Wait, wait, wait. You expect me to subscribe to your app that completely failed at the most basic level? Did you even QC your release?
Awful after update 1/5
The app is all kinds of buggy after the recent update. It can’t calculate carbs correctly at all. They really ruined a great app. So long, Calorie King.
NEW UPDATE ERROR 01/2018 1/5
You guys should be less concern about making money with adds with the new upgrade because the whole formula on the counts are wrong. Your developers literally butcher the whole concept of the app. Smh 🤦🏾♂️
Took away carbs in the latest update 5/5
We have been using this app as it is a literal life saver to decode how many carbs are in certain foods. We need this info for our daughter who is T1. Please bring back the carbs totals.
UPDATE: The bug has been fixed thank you so much for this excellent resource.
No Carbs!!! - thanks for fixing!!! 5/5
Thank you for fixing the big!! This is a huge game changer for me. Why did you remove the carbohydrate count when you updated this app? I used this for my diabetic daughter and now this app is of no use to me. I’m sure I’m not the only one who is frustrated with you on this
Unhappy with the upgrade 1/5
By jt1d mom
They no longer have carbs in their nutrition facts and took away half of their items weights or size amount! Not helpful for diabetics!
Where’s the carb count?!?! 4/5
Use this app everyday to check carb counts for my son’s diabetes. Updated the app and the carb total is gone from the details screen. Did I miss something or is a field mislabeled?
UPDATE: developer fixed this issue promptly. Thanks!!!
I recently was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and used this for carbohydrates, once the new update came out the carbs were gone. I would pay for this app to have carbohydrates back and so would my mom. Please, if you could get the carbohydrates back that would be wonderful.
No point in having it now 2/5
By J Marcel
Either I overlooking or the carbs have been removed from the app. I use the carbs nutritional data to count carbs and calculate units of insulin. This is frustrating.
What happened to the carbohydrate counts? 1/5
I used to use this app almost daily to determine carbohydrate counts for insulin coverage. With the most recent update to the app, the carbohydrates have disappeared and are no longer listed. Whah a shame! I’ll be looking for a new app.
Need to know carbs! 1/5
Not happy with current update. My child has Type 1 diabetes. I used this app regularly to determine carb values of food she eats so I can properly dose her insulin. Without carb information this app is useless. Fir those of you needing carb counts, try Carbs & Cals or Atkins. Hoping Calorie King will bring back carb information.
What? Carbs disappeared! 1/5
By I'm mostly love the app
Knowing the macros is far less useful if it’s an incomplete picture. Carbs used to be in the nutrition content but only recently it mysteriously disappeared. If I have to go elsewhere to find the carbs, then this app is no longer useful. Otherwise I used to love its simplicity to use.
You robbed us of carbs in the new version!!!! 1/5
We use Calorie King for our T1D 5 year old daughter. The newest version doesn’t let you see the carbs by whatever conversion you want to cook with! This makes calorie king useless for diabetics. An example is granulated white sugar. We don’t cook with cubes or in oz. in the US so this is basically useless. Please bring back the carb counts that are life saving for millions of diabetes!!!!!!!!!
Great for our daughter's diabetes care 4/5
By WASD.tv Chad
I just did the newest update yesterday and for some reason the app is no longer showing carbs. I checked the same items on my wife’s phone (not updated) and it showed carbs. We use this for my diabetic daughter and were wondering what happened.
This app came highly recommend by the hospital staff when my daughter got recently diagnosed with type one diabetes and I can see why. It is easy to use and gives the user many size and unit options which is awesome. The only thing I wish it did was save favorite items so I don't have to type it in each and every time. It may also be useful to keep track of total carbs eaten in a meal to make insulin calculations a breeze. But other than that, it is a great and very useful application. Thanks for making my daughter's diabetes care easier. I have no idea how parents did this back in the day before the Internet and smart phones!
Where did the carb count go????
Where did the carbs go? 1/5
Useless to me without carbs
Carbs Missing 1/5
By Mrs. Esterhouse
Carbs are missing from current release.
What happened to the carb counts? 1/5
I have been using this app for nearly a year to help with carb counting for my son who has type 1 diabetes. I was very disappointed in the latest update when carb counts were removed from the detailed nutrition information. This has rendered the app essentially useless for me.
Saving my Life 5/5
I use this Ap multiple times a day to log my food. Really helping with my weight loss goals. There is a current glitch with the Ap for an food measurements when then measurement is set to ounces. I am sure they will fix it.
Strange failure 2/5
Calorie King must know that many, if not most, of their users are diabetic. Leaving out the carb content for each portion size is therefore a major fail. I guess it's plausible to do some math and calculate the carb/sugar ratio, using carbs from the main menu item, so don't delete your calculator app.
Terrible! Total carb amount function removed 1/5
By T1D mama
This has been a great app that my family, with 2 kids with type 1 diabetes, has used every day (many times each day) to calculate the amount of carbs in foods. This is essential for diabetes management because it allows for calculation of insulin dosage. But suddenly the app no longer has the total carb amount for each food type. This makes the app completely and utterly USELESS!!!!!!!!! I am sooooo mad and freaked out! I now have no way to determine this information and must search for a new app.
Please Return Total Carbs 2/5
My family uses this app almost daily as my son has Type 1 Diabetes. It has worked wonders for us. However, with this last update, the total carbs no longer show in the nutritional information. Please fix!
Are used to love calorie King but now I don’t 1/5
By sky a 11 year old
We were using CalorieKing for type one diabetes but now it has no total carbs in it makes me very mad to🙁🙁🙁🙁🙁🙁🙁🙁🙁🙁🙁🙁🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
Bring back Carb numbers 1/5
I echo all the other reviews of the parents of type 1 diabetic children. BRING BACK THE CARB numbers. I’m questioning the rationale and pray to goodness that you don’t reply that you get them back if you pay for ad removal.
No carbs 1/5
You took away the carbs on the nutritional info. Anyone with type 1 diabetes needs that option. I use it for my daughter all the time. I’ve recommended it to other type 1 parents but now you’ve gotten rid of the only reason I used your app.
Why remove carbs? 1/5
With a Type 1 diabetic this app went from essential to worthless having eliminated carbs. Very bad decision.
By MishaS mom
Have used CalorieKing for years for my carb count for diabetes. With this new update, no carbs listed! Useless, now!
This app is horrible! 1/5
By Cole ashton2769
Why did you get rid of carbs? This app is the most useless app downloaded on my phone. It shows the carbs on the food when you search but when you click on it it’s gone! It was wonderful when you could change he serving size and it would calculate it for you, now I don’t even know the serving size because calculating carbs for us diabetics is very important, so to protect my self I had to switch to a better app called carb manager, love that app. And no I am not a sponsor of carb manager, it’s a good app.
New update 1/5
Why did the new update take away carb counts?
Needs CARB count!! 2/5
The latest review has somehow removed the carb values from all of the portion sizes. I am a diabetic and use this app all the time to calculate the amount of carbs in certain serving sizes of food. The only thing that matters to a type 1 diabetic is the amount of carbs in a serving size of food. The amount of insulin needed is based on a carb to insulin ratio.
Please add the carb amount for any serving size back into the main food screen. It is no longer there!
Btw, with the carb count added back as in the previous version, I give this app 5 stars.
New Version NO CARB COUNTS! 1/5
I have waited for Foods / Beverages Update. No Carbs Counted Now. I will just delete~ no value to me now. Plan to Add Carbs Info?
Diabetics count carbs to adjust their insulin dose. Bring carbs back!
Do not like the fact that with the latest update you took away the carb portion on the nutrition label. We have used this app for figuring carbs for our Type 1 diabetic since she was diagnosed 7 years ago. Bring make the carb information!!!!!
Carb count missing from update 1/5
Not very useful if you are counting carbs. Carb count is missing form the nutritional information with the update.
No total carb count in detail screen?? 1/5
Are you kidding me? Update took this away so when you change serving size you cannot see total carbs. I use this app for my type 1 diabetic daughter. BRING IT BACK!!!
Error on Jan. 2018 App Update 1/5
By Solon guy
I use this app all the time and it’s very helpful. I’ve noticed on this latest update (January 2018) that when you put in one ounce you get numbers that are in the thousands. It might be a decimal point error?
Without this error I would give the app a 4-5 star rating!
No more carbs! 1/5
I used to love this app. It used to have carbs, and I’d recommend it to my diabetic patients. Now, they removed the carbs and put them in another app that charges people money. No thanks!
No carbs 1/5
With the new update carbs disappeared 😡😡
DO NOT UPDATE TO 1.7.0 1/5
App used to be great however since the update you can no longer see the carb count for foods so rice the protein facts show up but not the carbs making the app useless now
What did you do Calorie King? 1/5
My wife and I love this app! It has been so helpful for us. We have a beautiful daughter with Type 1 Diabetes. It’s been a great tool to research carbohydrates for foods she eats. However since the update yesterday 01/19/2018 we now are experiencing pop ups and we are getting solicitations to pay for this app monthly for no advertising. Now we cannot research carbohydrates for foods or even customize serving size for the foods our daughter eats. This is very disappointing. Until Calorie King fixes this problem we cannot recommend this app!
I’m not happy about the new update. 2/5
What happened to the total carb. Calculations? This was an App I used 4-5x per day in order to count my son’s carbohydrate intake since he has Type 1 Diabetes. I guess I’ll be finding a new application
Slightly not as disappointed IF you post an update VERY SOON 2/5
Playing with the app more, there is carb count in the search list but if you click the item, NO TOTAL CARB NUMBERS.
PLEASE RELEASE A PATCH SOON
