$25 a month for 0 Convenience 1/5
I’m not impressed with this app. I have to inconveniently get on my computer to type messages because the app doesn’t allow me to go back and edit before I send a message. With care.com rating you for your response time, they do not make it convenient for you to do that. I am not happy with this app.
Good app but limited 3/5
I like the app but I'm having a hard time with filtering candidates- for example, I want a full time sitter but I can't filter a search to get only people who want to work full time. It just makes it less user friendly and a lot more time consuming to have to go into their profile for every single person. It is also like this for the amount of kids that I need watched and the money they are interested in. If you could make this easier, I would be eternally grateful! To all of the people who complain about paying for the app, tailor your responses! Read what the family is looking for before you send them a blanket email! You'll get a better response!!!!!!
BEWARE this used to be a great app and website I no longer trust it. It’s unsafe I do not trust this for families either. I have been able to use it before and had no problem. I now had someone think they could scam me so I am officially not going to be using this app or website.
We have posted a job and attempted to interview several caregivers. One just didn't show up and the other two cancelled last minute. Another one couldn't drive to meet us because it was raining. Really? What a joke. I'd never leave my kids with these people. I just wasted my money on a Care.com membership. I'm sticking with the daycare center. They screen out the flakes and do the background checks and you know they won't let you down.
Pretty decent. 4/5
By Lil b:)
This app is adequate. I don't like how they still block out contact info even after you pay to use the site. It makes communicating very difficult. And you definitely have to do your homework. It's basically a social network. If you want background checks those are extra, along with motor vehicle checks. I've also had some sitters I would not choose again but don't want to leave poor reviews because they obviously know where I live.
When I try and delete old messages it cut me out sends me to the home screen of my phone
Please Fix 1/5
Can’t send any messages now. It keeps saying “please do not use invalid characters, html links–“ This needs to be fixed immediately.
Poorly designed interface and not stable 1/5
This app crashes on me every time I try to delete an message. It is so frustrating!!! The pc website its much better. What are they using all this membership money for?!? Get it together care.com!!!!!
The service is 100% useless unless you pay a HUGE monthly fee. Completely useless!!
Not as good as before. 2/5
Newest version doesn't have the same layout, and you are unable to see the number of applicants. They also pop up in different orders, and don't have the date they've been posted, so it can be hard to tell which is new and which is not. Not impressed.
Used to be amazing 1/5
This app used to be amazing... I recommend it to everyone I knew ... but within the last year it's become incredibly frustrating and difficult to use.. I understand you need to make money .. So I paid for a subscription, however you won't allow me to or the perspective job to give each other our phone numbers .. It makes The Whole process so comber some and difficult ... The app is also difficult to navigate now . I say no to a job 5 times and it still keeps popping up ... I think it would be wise for you to listen to people's complaints, because I know it's not just me who's frustrated. The clients I have have said they also won't be using your service any longer
Continues to be worst app in the market 1/5
*UPDATE** I took the time to send care.com screen shots and very specific feedback on what has been "broken" in the app for about 6 mos (at their request) and they have not even bothered to respond. The app is the worst communication platform you'll use. Unfortunately it's a necessary evil bc they still have the largest selection of care providers, but the app does make it extremely difficult to wade through lots of applicants and communicate with them. In my opinion, this company is going downhill. See other reviewers as of this past year as well!
Like another reviewer said, the fact that carechat won't let ANY phone numbers come through in the app is annoying. So that means we end up using emails to send contact info and reference contact info. Not to mention the app is super buggy. Wrong names show up in the listing, profiles don't load, to name the least. Used care for 4 yrs and the last 3 months have been terrible. The applicant quality isn't Great either, making me use agencies now instead . But it's a necessary evil for now since there are more folks on care than other sites.
Takes a long time for client reviews to show up. 1/5
When a client posts a review, it can take many days before it shows up on your profile. Also, with care pro status, takes many days after you qualify before it shows up.
If you respond to a voice message with a phone call, not via a text message, you get penalized -- and you can lose your carepro designation.
You MUST always respond with a text message to anything that you have received. Your voice response to a voice call request does not count. This is a bug in their system. When you respond to a voice with a voice it should qualify as a response, it should not require another extra text response. Lost my carepro status for a week because of this problem.
This is what I'm giving the one star rating.
Terrible app, terrible company, its a scam 1/5
After getting excited about being able to find some babysitting jobs in the new area that I moved to, I was quickly disappointed when I found out that after applying to about 10-20 different jobs over the course of a month I was not able to receive messages or job acceptances from anyone because I didnt "upgrade" aka PAY to get a job. First - that would have been a great piece of information to share before I joined, and secondly, why would I pay $40 to get hired. You literally can't do anything on this site without paying, and that is ridiculous. This is a shady site I would not recommend it.
Great to get jobs but be careful of scams 3/5
It's a great app to get jobs, but recently there's been a huge increase of scams that you'd have to be aware of! Look up babysitting/dog sitting scans on google before accepting any jobs!
Texto copia e cola 4/5
O Care.com poderia deixar os textos abertos para copiar e colar!
Becoming too tough 3/5
It is expensive to use. More and more so each time. I am a "care pro" and get minimal work from them.
Be Wary 1/5
Do your homework and check online for news and information about the service not the app. Many people have been unilaterally terminated by Care.com with explanation. They will not discuss it with you either. So please consider the benefits of investing money, time and effort into something that can be yanked away at any moment.
Always helpful 5/5
Always helpful. Limitless options!
App way better than website 3/5
I can't stand the website. This app makes using Care.com tolerable.
I get FRAUDULENT texts and emails from people who got my information from Care.com.
Love the App! 5/5
Was skeptical till I logged on. Loved the variety of services and app user-friendly.
Quick response from applicants, background checks easily accessible and more. Yet to hire a care giver, but I am hopeful.
I authorized a ONE TIME purchase of your service on JULY 14 of 54.99. No monthly plan that was necessary for me to contact you and cancel. A ONE TIME PURCHASE FOR ONE MONTH ONKY. A few days later I was in a car accident so am just now learning you have continued charging my card monthly including the pending charge. You best get that returned to me. I am disputing it and coming after you. This is FRAUD. Just one more thing I have to deal with.
Confusing layout & options 1/5
Not intuitive. Wording when making in app purchases is confusing too. Was trying to understand the background check cost and what "unlimited subject to person willing to release background information" means. No explanation and when I tried to sign up it was going to charge $299 instead of a monthly $25 as advertised. Also trying to figure out how to view/delete job posts. This is basic stuff, wth?
They've now added a feature that removes your phone number from messages (you know in case you were t already annoyed enough with the difficulty contacting people through the app) I be changed my rating to 1 star
Great App for Job Seekers 5/5
Definitely I had found some very good and reliable work with care.com and I will continue doing so, Because it makes life easier for us finding the right job for the right client. Excellent app.
Won't let me sign into my account 1/5
Takes me past login page right to the 'add bio' page. I can't skip this step in order to sign into my account that has already been completed.
The bomb 5/5
Care.com is the bomb!! I loved every, well almost, every minute and aspect of it!
By Laurita Calderón
The best app for babysitting!!
Works well 4/5
This app works well and provides notifications of new messages.
The only problem is the job search, i really dont like going through each job and selecting pass and then start all over again of i want to exit.
Great side with opportunities 5/5
By Nanae (Neora)
I feel free with choosing exactly what I need, time of work, place... And I get the opportunity to do so. I feel inspired! and can improve my ability to give the families, as a nanny and beyond that.
Fake profiles looking for babysitters 1/5
I've sent messages to over 100 families needing a babysitter and they all have the same story: they're dead and dumb and coming from a state and willing to pay $22 the hour.
For the dog sitting, they all have a golden retriever and also coming from another state.
I gave this care.com a second chance hoping I'd find something, and the only people responding back are the fake profiles. My girl friend also gets the same story from the fake profiles. Be careful who you speak to on care.com
Since when do you have to pay to be a pet sitter?!? 1/5
You have to pay to be a pet sitter on this app! Seriously? That's super ridiculous.
College student 5/5
Very helpful in looking to make extra cash as a college student! I love kids and this is the perfect way to meet families in need in my area in a safe and independent manner.
Not even usable anymore! 1/5
I cannot look at a list of jobs. It forces me to go through jobs one at a time. No way to switch from Child Care category to another. I am registered but can no longer look at jobs. Useless!
Paying to apply to jobs? I think not. 1/5
It's enraging that we have to PAY to apply to jobs. That's ridiculous considering people come to Care to earn money. Imagine having to waste a whole bunch of money applying to jobs that you might not even get hired for. What a waste. I'm deleting Care now.
You will find a job on Care.com 5/5

I like Care.com! I've found employment several times!
Love love love care.com app 5/5
By Jess Ching
This app is amazing! I found a wonderful sitter for my kids, and now have a profile to do childcare myself! So great!
Great, but a little difficult to navigate 4/5
The idea of care.com is wonderful!! But it can be hard to navigate. If you lose your spot on an application trying to find it again is definitely a challenge. It can be hard to search at times but that's okay. Overall I love care.com and it has helped me and other families so much!
I shouldn't have t pay to apply for a job. Absolutely ridiculous
Very User Friendly away to Find Good Help!! 5/5
Wow, has this site ever grown up over the years since I last used it!! What a great app!! More safety features built in! Easy to use communication platform! We wanted to find a house cleaner and part-time personal chef for our new home...we got 30+ applicants from one posting...and found the perfect person for our needs within a week. The upgrade fee was totally worth it!!
Reliable & a great resource.
Good, but sorting through jobs a nightmare. 3/5
By Queen of Selifes 809
This app would be perfect if sorting through pet care jobs was easier. They show you one job at a time when you do a search, which I prefer. But when I apply for a job that already reached its application limits then I have to start the search all over again from the very first job they show you and onward! Also, you can't go back to a previous job posting, only forward towards the next, so if you want to view a job posting again you have to start from the very beginning again! It's insane! You're constantly having to look over the ones you've already viewed. I'm talking again and again and again.
Paid for Subscription. Zero success. 1/5
Paid for subscription. Minimal responses to posting for nanny job. 80% no response. Makes me wonder if both parties have to pay for the service (so you have to pay for the subscription and the babysitter has to pay too or they can see message but can't respond). 15% said already have positions. Other 5% fizzled out when trying to set up interviews. Cancelling subscription.
Care doesn't care 1/5
I have used the site for almost 4 years I believe.. I'm livid. I just paid this months subscription. I have 6 amazing five star reviews but I had one 1 star and somehow shortly there after my profile got terminated. The email said they'd send a message to all the people I've talked to saying this. Which is annoying. People talk and it looks bad. I quit working for a very mean, vindictive person and it seems she's upset I quit (even with two weeks notice) and gave me the bad review and must've reported
me because I've done nothing wrong. Also the background checks aren't accurate or thorough. They don't look into reports. You could leave a bad family or tell a potential person they don't get a job and if they report you BAMMM you're off and everyone you've talked to knows you've been bad. So unprofessional and they don't reverse the situation. If you google this happening you'll find tons of stories like it. It's a very deceitful company that doesn't care about its user. Ironic huh??
Not easy to navigate and lots of caregivers no longer available for years and profiles are still up 3/5
Can't search by full or part time. Many no longer available caregivers still listed.
Love the app 5/5

Bad experience 1/5
By Health consultant
The communication function with sitters was very poor. You can directly communicate by exchange texts. The site makes you go through their portal to communicate via text which makes communication very cumbersome and difficult. Also if you're looking to be able to communicate with a live human being customer support, nearly impossible. I could not figure out how to do it and no one was available to answer the phone. On top of all that I could not find a sitter through their site who could meet fairly regular easy hours
Annoying non stop pop ups 2/5
Every couple of times that I select someone to view, I am asked if I hired them. Even if I have already viewed their profile before. It never stops and is increasing annoying.
Way to ruin a good thing 1/5
By Ok Luke
New web browser interface and app simply blow. Feel like they didn't do much QC before unrolling this.
App Bad Service Ok 3/5
The app crashes and gives error messages. Does not allow the person you send an invitation to interview options to offer another date and time. It would be nice to have a place to write personal notes about applicants. Also a way to rank or order your applicants. There is only Favorites or not. It does add my interview in my calendar, some times.
Care.com is a great idea. I thought they did some kind of background check, but they only verify phone, email, and Facebook page. That is not secure enough for me. You have to pay an additional fee for a thorough background check. There are cheaper sites to run background checks on people. I will use those. Remember, all those background checks are only if someone has been caught/reported. Personally still get references and verify.
