Keeps Showing Unavailable Jobs 1/5
By Kristy O.o :)
I search for pet jobs, write out a nice letter/message and get told it's not talking any more applications!
Remove the job from the search if it's not available or let me remove them from gen search. Don't make me do all the work to get it and then tell me I can't apply!

They charge for this... 1/5
I'm really surprised that they make it mandatory to have a membership for this.
I've landed with several babysitting job in here! Can't thank care.com enough.
Too many problems 1/5
By La Good Game
We've only had our account for 5 days. They overcharged us for the monthly fee by not adding the discount, but when I called customer service they did not hassle me about it and they said I should be refunded the difference within the next few days.
The biggest concern is that sometimes when I try to respond to potential sitters, the app tells me their accounts have been closed when that is not true.
Finding an absolute stranger to be in my home and care for my children is already stressful enough without the added stress of using a program that I can't trust.
Love this! 5/5
Absolutely love this app!!!!! Game changer for sure!
User friendly? 4/5

I started a job through Care.com 6 yrs ago & made my profile visible again because I am moving & need to find a new nanny job. This time around, it has been more difficult for me to add to my work history, find jobs relevant to my search, & getting people whose jobs I've applied for to get back to me. I guess the secret is you have to upgrade to premium for people to see your profile & be able to send you messages, but that is not clear. Yes there are many areas that encourage you to upgrade, but it is not obvious that possible employers will only see you if you have premium membership. I've recommended care.com many times in the last 6 years, but I will not be so quick to recommend in the future
Works well! 5/5
Finding the right person to care for your children isn't easy, but the Care.com app helps a lot. We found our wonderful sitter that way last year and hope to find another one!
Withhold information even for paid members, reasons unclear 3/5
By AJ Cinci
Some information on chatting with applicants is withheld, such as automatic filtering of phone numbers. Not sure why they block content even for paid members.
Really so y'all are charging people now?
Allow phone numbers in the all!! 1/5
By Joe Jackson III
The app is good except that it redacts phone numbers. This means that as a parent looking for a candidate, I (and the candidate) cannot include our cell # to set up an interview. This means I need to give my personal email which is super frustrating since the point of the app is to have communication within the app. I'd much rather give away my cell than a personal email. I now have to give away my email and then continue the dialogue outside of the app. Please fix this asap since this is new to the app and it's a horrible update!!!
Care tries to charge for everything possible 3/5
By The gravys
The last time I found a nanny through Care.com (2years ago) it was easy and convenient to use their website. Now it has a lot of annoying additions. Every profile I look at it pops up with a series of questions about whether I hired the person. If I want to do a phone interview with the person it blocks both of our phone numbers if you try to put it in the message. This is to force you to use "care call." I wouldn't mind that so much but it won't even allow you to
Leave a voicemail so the nanny can call you back. I lost out on connecting with several providers because we couldn't reach each other. Lastly, one person I tried to pay through the website and they added $40 to the pay I wanted to give them for 3 days work. Not highly recommending this site if you have other ways to find a sitter!
Just horrible. Wish I could leave zero 1/5
I've found a couple of jobs in the past from care.com with no problem. And now I'm having a problem.. only to find out I need a membership before people can even reply to my applicantion. Complete BS! This is an app to find a JOB what makes you think people have money to spend 40$ a MONTH for a "maybe" that they'll find one. The founders and editors of this app should be ashamed. I'm thinking I'm not getting a job because it's been filled, no, come to find out THEY CANT REPLY! So thanks for wasting my time.
I'm a big fan of the service and application 5/5
By Oh I Think They Like Me
Great service and easy to use app. Please keep fixing bugs and making the app great!!!!!
SCAM INFESTED 1/5
I thought paying $24.99 + tax would remove the scammers but no. Everywhere you turn, it's a scammer. You don't know who's legit and who's fake. Choose another site. Do not waste your time.
Set up looked easy, but outdated profiles 2/5
It seems the system doesn't clean up old users, so many of the users are no longer active. I was sending contact and not receiving replies. If profiles were current, this would be a great app.
SCAM ALERT 1/5
Upon registering, I immediately received (4) differ not email requests for dog sitters. Different names but EXACT same script!
But, like an idiot, I paid $39 for one month to get service and there looked like there were some legit ads. Went to answer the ads and SCAMMED AGAIN! TO ANSWER THE ADS YOU HAVE TO BUY TOKENS.
And, conveniently there is no way to CONTACT anyone at care.com
And, besides, isn't this the app that stole the idea fro her own babysitter? Sure hope she likes sunburns, because He'll will deal with anyone who would do something so shady!

I'm sure the service is great. My issue is they let you go through the entire process of posting a job for the caregivers to apply for but they don't tell you you need to pay to see the response until after you put to listing up. So now I'm getting emails everyday for possible caregivers but I have to pay $55 to get there info. I wouldn't have posted if I had know that up front. Not because it wouldn't have been worth the cost but because we didn't know for certain we were going to use Care.com yet. Basically I'm getting spammed now and I have no way to delete the listing.

Thanks care .com for being so useful- as a working mom I appreciate your ease of use and the advice given about nanny contracts etc. I also like the IM feature- it makes finding help in real time!!!
I suggest you develop some kind of real time uber service for pickup of kids when moms can't- you work out the details but moms taxi- for kids transport would be helpful- on demand like uber.
Fix please 1/5
Every time I delete a message that says job closed, it loads right back to the inbox. It's kinda annoying. Please fix it.
DONT GET!!! 1/5
By Nathaly Gallegos!😞
You really have to pay for getting a job? I don't think that's how it works, please fix this harsh thing. I'm trying to earn money not getting my money taken away from me, I need money to help my mom out, but you guys are scamming me by just taking my money. Please fix this! It was way better before
Care can be a good souce 3/5
Care.com can be a great source, however it can also be a nightmare! I was hired by someone from the site who ended up not paying me 3 weeks of work. I'm battling with her to get my check. Come to find out she has jilted many people she met on Care.com. I wrote an email to Care regarding this person and got NO response. It's upsetting because others may be affected in the future.
Impossible to find jobs 1/5
I've used care.com on a computer and it is always super easy and shows 30+ jobs. On the app it will only show you new jobs, which means you only see 3-5 postings. Horrible app
Used to like but... 1/5
I'm an 18 yr old girl saving for college. This was a good way to get my name out there for childcare and pet care. But... the new update has what are called credits, where you must pay to apply. Again, I'm paying for a $54,000 tuition, I can't afford to pay to simply apply to an opportunity I may not receive. This new update is wasteless and will lose Care.com many loyal users. We are on here to make money, not spend it. Also the new interface does not show you all jobs at once as it previously did. I don't like that either. This new update really is terrible all around.
Not much response 3/5
I sent out several messages and only a couple even read them. I wish people would remove themselves from the list if they aren't looking for a job anymore. It gives those who need a care provider false hope.
Absurdly buggy 1/5
Latest iteration of the app is a mess. Messages don't refresh, new message indicators don't tell denote replies from caregivers, often times profiles don't load properly so you can't read bios or reviews. Honestly, is there any QC team whatsoever at the company? Considering their high monthly fees they ought to have better dev resources than this.
The app itself has many glitches that are persistent but the actual platform is garbage. Essentially you have to pay for everything, which is ridiculous because the prices are way more than what they should be. I got this and applied for several jobs and got no replies ever, also meaning i didnt even get any credits back for the jobs i didnt get. i sent the team more than one email asking for help and asking questions and always got an email back that said they would answer within 24 hours and i have never received anything back. this website is a joke, and will take your money.
Used to love Care and established great jobs and relationships with clients through this. Now you have to pay to use it, which is ridiculous. And I've had several people message me that are scammers wanting my information to steal my identity. Deleting this app and not using it anymore. It's a shame because I really liked it before.
Why the f*** would I pay for credits to apply for a job I'm on this app because I need a job this was a great app til the upgrade but now I have to pay for some invisible pointless credits and why because the people who made care.com are getting greedy I want the old care back this upgraded version is so f****** stupid
Poor platform 1/5
This app has so many limitations. The website is not much better. I'm so frustrated with this app and extremely disappointed especially having spent a good amount for the premium service. Communicating with people is challenging on this app. It censors out the phone number, which I understand is for privacy but their CareChat didn't even work, making it difficult to conduct a phone interview. Complete rip off of a service!!!!
This isn't necessarily about the app, but about care itself. I've been on it for almost a year, and at first it was great. Now it's saying I have to upgrade to allow the people hiring to respond. I don't have the money to upgrade, or else I would have. That's kinda why I'm on the site. To get money, while babysitting which is something I love. Please stop that. Don't make me pay money so I can babysit. I'm 18, been in college since I was 16, and I don't have that extra money to spend. It shouldn't be a thing.
Needs improvement 1/5
By Goth geek 420
The pricing they want per month is way over priced just to find what your looking for. You now have to pay nearly 60$ a month just reply to messages from people who want to work for you. I'd be willing to pay 9$ per month for that maybe. The app is a great concept just poorly done..
Wonderful service 5/5
I've used care.com to hire 3 nannies over time & one housekeeper. It's great to post a job & be able to set up interviews & make your choice. Highly recommend.
Love the website 4/5
By Love messenger
I love this website the only cons is that I get a lot of offers for Maryland and Washington DC, I guess it is because as the crow flys, they are less than 5 miles away. Which if you live in this area everyone knows that being 3 miles from WDC can take an hr there and back.
App has very annoying flaws 1/5
I don't understand how their phone system works, but stupidly, it doesn't allow a caller to leave a voice mail or message. I called a potential client several times, each time she was not available. I was trying to find out exactly what time she wanted to meet at the library, because she had only said "after work on Friday"....well, that's not enough information. I did not feel comfortable going to the downtown citylibrary, where it's hard to park, and just showing up about 5pm, not knowing when she planned to be there, nor what she looks like. Very frustrating. So I deleted the app, thinking I could use the phone number without it, but it still continued to do the same thing. I tried texting the number, and it gave me a message that texting wasn't supported. So, I finally just came home and messaged her through the website again requesting a new time to meet. If she doesn't respond, I will know this request was a scam. And yes, I have had some multiple requests that sound exactly the same, just like other users here. I have gotten one good client out of the account, but may delete my account if no more show up.
Wonderful resource! 5/5
By For Those About to ROCK!
Wonderful resource! So informative, detailed, and resourceful. Very useful. I will be a member as long as the kids are young.
Crappy service 1/5
I have a premium subscription. I tried reaching out to nearly 10 babysitters who responded to my ad but I can't get a hold of them because care.com hides my and their numbers. It's ridiculous and horrible. No one wants to use your "care chat"!
Glitchy and one request 3/5
Doesn't say or show when the messages have been delivered or if the other person is online let alone if they've read the message you've sent them.
Only request is to input some sort of bookmark for us to use as caregivers. I'd like to bookmark a job that I may be interested in applying for so I can look at it later before determining whether or not to apply and so that way it'd be easier to find said job rather than look through all the jobs to try and find it again.
So stupid! 1/5
Make you pay at least $50 to respond to messages. Such a rip off! Won't let you leave your email or phone number so you must go through the app to reply to people. Absolutely ridiculous and will NOT be using the app because their pricing is outrageous.
Meh interface and annoying pop ups 2/5
I posted a job through the website and have been keeping up with applicants through the app. It's confusing... some things are in the inbox, some are under the applicants to job section. Then whenever you discuss potential pay it blasts you with pop-ups to use their Homepay service. I am aware OMG. I remember from the other 10 times I included a $ sign in my message... grrr. The favorites could be structured better. I keep a google spreadsheet with notes on who has applied because I can't add my own. It would be helpful to have a mini tutorial on what the symbols mean. It's not too difficult, but why make the user do all the work?
By But kisser13
My mom found a person who will facesit me for as long as I please.
WONT LET ME LOGIN 1/5
The app opens and immediately goes to who are you.. click babysitter... then the location setting keeps saying the address I set is incorrect which isn't true because I'm setting it. It won't let me restart even if I delete the app and get it back I can't get passed the location setting or continue the account. This is ridiculous. ZERO STARS IF I COULD.
Great app but has a few flaws. 2/5
I like the app but it does have a few flaws. One is you cannot create another profile from the app. The other is it takes a few days for your reviews to show up. Lastly, I can't figure out how I can copy my link for my profile. It looks like you have to be a member to look at any profile. Other than that it is working well for me including the website. I have gotten several jobs with my profile.
Ok high turnover 3/5
You have to look thru and meet like 50+ applicants to find 1 person that fits your needs. A lot of ppl do not respond. App on iPhone doesn't refresh when you click profile easily. I have to tap it like 10 times. An ok solution. It has helped me in some situations of needing nanny or housekeeper. The ppl I hired usually get unreliable after 6 months to a year and I start all over again
I paid $54.99 only to find out I can't share #'s 1/5
I paid for a month to find childcare for my kids and the app would not allow me to give or receive phone numbers. What is the point of using Care.com then? When I contacted them they said it was for "safety reasons", but I could set up something called Care Chat (only for premium members so I can't use it) and could phone them directly. No thanks, I'd rather find childcare somewhere else that doesn't require 10 steps and cost me $54.99. Thanks for wasting my money.
Great for me 5/5

Really love this app!!!
Care.com is excellent !! 5/5
This way to get work in caregiving has been wonderful for me. I think the format is great, the
communication and rewards for quick responses
and screening process are quite helpful.
Reviews boost my profile, options to send a specific profile each time has benefitted me, as well as the photos.
HORRIBLE APP!!! 1/5
I am I paying care.com member. I wish I could give this app zero stars. I've been on this site for six months and had just downloaded the app. Big mistake. When applying for jobs through texts and emails I was allowed to send a pre-written message that was saved for me. That saved a lot of time. This feature has been deleted on the app. Also since downloading the app i am unable to apply for jobs through text or emails without going through a very cumbersome and lengthy process. By the time I receive job listings most have been applied to 20-30 times. I have called care.com to voice my concerns to be told that the problem was the device I used. I have used my iPhone, iPad and a desktop computer all with the same results. Care.com has a long way to go in making this app useful and user-friendly!
Cassandra Landry Math, Reading etc. 5/5
Just becoming a new member and still trying to work out a few things, but so far it's seems to be a great place to make money and help our children.
This app was wonderful until applications came in and it told me I had to pay just to read them. The goal of this app is counteractive. Most people on here are trying to find good trustworthy and AFFORDABLE help. Now you want me to pay $20-$60/mo plus pay for good help. Nope. Just make the app cost right out front so people know what they are getting into. Waste of time.
