You can't make the changes like on the actual website. Especially when you get harassed by scammers and can not see the same exact things on display from the website to the app; to make that change.
Go and complain to the company about the harassment and there is NO TRUE help there other then the blame I left my phone number available to be harassed. Also falls on death's ears on them having customers have a paid background check unlike yourself trying to get a job.
Don't bother paying the monthly membership and the background check; when this service is nothing but a breathing ground for harassing scammers and the company comes up with bs answers and does nothing in regards to my suggestion. And tells me I have to go back on the computer. This isn't fair to people who just have a smart phone to get by to get jobs. I wasted my money and wasted time with this company and this app to be harassed by scammers and this company doesn't not care!!

Took me 2 days to figure out how to cancel this service - Care.com was no help and all too happy to ship me over to Apple.
Limited sorting and ranking ability for jobs. Too bad there is no better option for us busy moms.

The monthly cost of this app to try it out is ridiculous so i bought the reoccurring monthly price for $17 a month. woke up to my bank account negative bc this app charged me for the full year price of almost $300 all at once. will take 7-9 days to get a refund, thanks.

Every time I open the app it's says "loading." It never stops loading and the content doesn't appear. I paid for a full year subscription and I'm going to ask for my money back. A year subscription is expensive for something that doesn't work. I've tried deleting the app and then downloading it again. No use.
Been on this site for years and now they're charging just to allow you to get a RESPONSE from a potential employer. Absolutely ridiculous

I tried to book a house keeper and cannot pay. Also the interview part is broken, cannot schedule a proper interview. The app is a great idea but worth spending time to improve the user experience before charging a high monthly fee.

I have been a member of care.com for literally years, as a provider. I've found some great jobs through this service. A couple months (or so) back care.com started charging providers to receive the message from potential employers. I live in a rural area and although through the years I've found a few jobs, I haven't found enough to 'pay' to read a message. So I deleted the app! I'd give 2 more stars but the calendar is the most ridiculous part of the whole app...ugh, so frustrating and not user friendly at all!!!

When u have to pay 50+ to find a job or a sitter that's just unfair and too pricy. instead send your resume to an agency like Luxury Baby Concierge. Far better experience and it's free. So disappointed. Care.com has a horrible website I'm very let down. Waste of my money.

What a rip OFF!! This is actually the epitome of a scam. I have had hundreds of apps since the release of the iPhone and not a single one has been so awful or so shady that I've felt the need to leave a bad review. First off, I spent over an hour coming up with an awesome profile, even decided to dig through some senior portraits to find a picture of myself worthy enough to be approved, had my friends and parents proof read my opening message/bio, and what happens when you finish and try to apply for your first job?? YOU HAVE TO PAY $40-70 FOR A MEMBERSHIP! The entire point of this app is to find jobs so that I can MAKE money not SPEND IT! I guess what has upset me the most is that after I caved and decided to spend the 40 bucks for a ONE month membership, I've waited 3 weeks...THREE WEEKS and have yet to find a SINGLE JOB...let's try and wrap our heads around this one. I just spent forty dollars that I did not even have to spend on worthless junk in the first place. My thought process after seeing all of these available jobs near me was that I could make back that forty in a flash but no. No. No. Definitely not. A large part of the problem is that like 30 people compete for one little measly job and it makes it next to impossible to actually get one, making this app the most useless thing I've ever laid eyes on. Avoid this crap of an app at all costs. The end.
This app used to be so useful when I was in high school after my mom got cancer and I had to start working four different part-time jobs. This app used to make it easy for caregivers to find jobs but now it has lost its dignity and lowered its self worth just like every other selfish corporation in America. This app used to be good but is worthless now because you now have to pay to apply to jobs even though it's a well known fact that caregivers have some of the lowest incomes. I won't pay to find work. Thank you for making life more difficult for working people.

Doesn't mark my messages as read. So constantly telling me that I have new messages. The calendar is messed up. When I try to schedule availability for Sunday it puts it on the schedule for Monday. The alerts come in WAY after they actually happen. Etc...

You can't actively use this app without paying a monthly subscription. As someone attempting to find families to care for in a new city, I am not willing to pay a steep monthly price for something I am not sure will yield the results I am hoping.

I wish I could give zero stars. I wasted my time setting up an account and posting a job for a babysitter and I can't even see the applicants interested in the job without paying at least $55 for a subscription. Such a rip off!!

The app runs pretty alright. However, I wasted a good hour getting my profile looking nice and detailed just to end up needing to pay for literally everything. If you have no points to apply for a job, you have to buy them for about $20. Waste of time.

I can't even make a profile on this app, it keeps bringing me back to the create a bio option, even though I made an account online because the app wouldn't work. No matter if I delete the app and reinstall it, it still keeps bringing me back to the bio. I can't move forward in the app. Total garbage. Fix your app before you decide to put it out there to use.

The concept that you have to pay to apply for jobs is refocusing. I have to buy credit in order to apply for a job that I'm not guaranteed to get. Why would I pay $4 to apply to a job. That's ridiculous. Worst concept ever

I have been a programmer for 30 years and this is the worse. There are no help icons, there is no "how to contact us" option, when you select a person for possible hiring the app becomes one continuous loop. I opted for a phone interview but have no idea who is supposed to call whom considering neither one of us has the other's number.
At one point when i first signed up, it asked me for a credit card so that I could get police, etc. background checks ... guess what? I still can't get help.
Don't know how to find out what the rate being charged by the applicant is.
The only thing that i found good about this app was that there was a decent number of applicants.
Still want my background check capability to work.
The app gets bugs then they get fixed. It is annoying but happens.
As far as care.com, it's useful and I prefer it to agencies however there came a time when care.com became more obsessed over getting money from everyone rather than pairing good families with good nannies

Calendar is difficult to use. I'll update it then it undoes it. Would be easier to just mark a day available instead of this hour by hour thing. Ive just given up trying to make it accurate.
Also having to check yes or no to each job over and over when I want to see if there are new jobs is annoying. List view was much more informative. All these extra steps are redundant. I wish this app would improve.

This is a horrible business, if you want to apply for a job Care makes you buy "coins" or "points" (10-20dlls) every time you want to apply for a job they take coins out, so if you run out you pay more. If you are trying to get a job what makes you think people have money to waste on this?

So wait, I have to pay to see if a family has responded? I've sent many applications out and wonder why I haven't gotten a SINGLE response and maybe it's because I can't SEE if they did? This makes trying to find a job MUCH harder.
The app interface itself is crap and has different features than the website. After sending tens of messages applying to tens of jobs you discover that most of them are spam/fake listings. The families that are active on here are cheap, abusive and don't want quality care for their children. NANNIES: DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS SITE.
Between the lack of a "back" function and the fact that you can't see past the 1st line in the message, this app is a mess. The message box has no way to filter between sent and received so it's very cluttered. Also the app turns off autocorrect which is 0 help when you can't even see what you're typing.
New message function horrible 2/5
The new update is awful as you can not see beyond the first line when you are responding to an application submission. I instead am just keeping my fingers crossed that I can type accurately. The app also does not let me clear alerts from those requesting me to rate them (when I didn't even interview) and locks up when viewing backgrounds. I also hate hat when you hit the back button after viewing a profile that it does not remember where you were in the list and instead takes you to the top. These updates are needed asap to make this function well.

Horrible Customer Service / Shady Billing 1/5
Customer service representatives unhelpful after they billed a debit card that was not authorized. The card they had on file was expired and they could not charge to it, after I wouldn't give them a new card they somehow billed it and it went through. Had to argue with customer service for 20 minutes to get refunded over 150 dollars for a service I never used.

The current version is amazing, except for the fact that when I am typing msgs to future employers, after the first line I cannot see what I am typing. As in it cuts off and isn't working! Everything else is great though. Also please provide a search feature in messages so we can easily find a conversation with employers!
