Wait what? 1/5

Why should we pay commercial network for cable provided network programming?
Used to work okay 2/5
Now it freezes and crashes every time about 1/3 through. Can't cast with Chromecast anymore. Have to watch on Ipad.
Can't hear! 1/5
By First time runner.
On the iPad, with an external speaker turned up to max, I still can't hear any shows without straining. Many apps tend to be on the low side, but this is far lower than norm. That should definitely be addressed.
There's also no way to easy see at a glance which of your favorites have updated. :(
On top of that, there's no way that I'd be willing to pay and still watch commercials. Either go no-commercials for the paid app (it's already too expensive), or I'll go back to torrenting. Better yet, just add everything to Hulu.
$6/month and 35 ads for a one hour program 1/5
Ridiculous cost for an app that doesn't block ads.
Not paying more 1/5
Really disappointed that CBS is the only major network that requires a fee - in addition to my cable subscription - to watch most shows. I was looking forward to seeing The Good Fight but can not watch at air time. I rely on network apps to catch up by logging in via my provider. Please reconsider this practice!
Why would anyone pay for this
Wants you to sub to use on Apple TV. 1/5
I watch ads and get google services for free, watch ads on cbs and they want you to pay and pay and pay. Every network will let you prove your pay for them through a cable/sat login and let you watch some episodes and live tv through Apple TV. Not cbs! Only needed it for ncis la for the misses, not paying for one show. Can't wait till enough people cut the cord so these networks will be begging you to watch.
Bad app doesn't work 1/5

Live Access - No way I'm gonna pay more 1/5
When CBS, ABC, TNT, and so on started charging cable providers (Wowway...) to allow cable subscribers to watch network shows online & with all the commercials, my cable bill went sky high. (That's why the trend to cut the cable)
You cannot watch shows online unless you already subscribe to a cable provider.
The Good Wife was one of my favorite shows. I'm sure I would love The Good Fight.....but I'm not signing up! CBS isn't the only network I watch. I am NOT going to consider supporting even one
Next thing you know, all the networks will start requiring a paid subscription for "special" shows online. $5.99 per month, times 10 networks or more.... for watching shows with commercials? Or
$ 9.99 commercial free?
Just plain greedy...Good Luck with that....No wonder the industry is plagued with bootleggers.
Bad App 1/5
I'm paying $9.99 per month for CBS All Access but this app locks up and crashes every few minutes.
Feel manipulated 1/5
I used to think that they have to charge for certain shows because they have to make money. Now that I look at other apps, they offer shows for free when you sign in with your provider. I don't think that's right.
Worst experience 1/5
Why would i pay for a monthly service when the app crashes "Every time" i use it. I called customer care about the situation but they just wanted to give me a month free for the inconvenience. I said "Hell NO!" Delete my account. Why would I continue my service when i cant even use it. SMH!!👎🏼
Worst streaming app ever 1/5
Paying $12 a month where the show freezes over and over again!! Don't have money to pay for your data center bandwidth, eh??
Also if I am paying $12 a month, I expect basic features like rewind or FF 10 Sec or something!!!
Truly a piece of junk.
Can't wait to get rid of it.
CBS, just allow companies like directv to stream your content and fire this entire app team!
By Not so loyal viewer anymore...
Pay you money to watch TV with your app, why? I already pay out the ?&! for cable? Terrible Customer Service to your viewership, and it clearly represent your greed without a doubt! Very disappointed. Thanks for your professionalism 😳
This app is awesome!!
Horrible app 1/5
This app is horrible. All I wanted to do was watch the news broadcasts and can't even do that. Ironically, the website works better for streaming what you want to see. Don't waste your space or time. Just go to the website.
CBS app is trash
Don't listen to the negative comments 4/5
By Phillip Gertler
This is actually a great app. The ones complaining are the ones who can't read- Go on to their website and read how to cancel via iTunes. Anyways, this app is user friendly and a great substitute to live tv. Only reason for not 5 stars: Repetitive commercials.
Keeps crashing 2/5
Keeps crashing, even after updating. After the 2 prior updates, it doesn't show what you've watched already anymore. It would be nice if there was an option to "favorite" your shows, so you didn't have to keep going back to the main menu and scrolling through the whole list of shows. You should check out the networks' apps... They are soooo much better!! (iPad 2)
Ridiculously Bad 1/5
Even with a $10/mo subscription...they still have the audacity to block live stream programs on Apple TV?
Looks like you need to fix your local affiliate contracts before you think you can charge for live streaming.
No cancel option 1/5
If you're going to have recurring charges for an app that's garbage to start with AND includes commercials even when you pay, you should at least make it possible to cancel through any device on the account. I have tried a number of things and they clearly intentionally make it hard to cancel. No interest in giving them my money even if I enjoyed it, just because of these bad business practices.
Shame on you CBS! 1/5
I just want to watch the football game on my iPad when I'm not at home, but unless I pay up, AGAIN, I am out of luck. I already pay for CBS through Comcast. I'm not paying for it again! Kudos to NBC, ABC, FOX, and ESPN. Their apps allow you to watch live NFL football as long as you sign in through your cable provider. The only cable providers available to sign in through with CBS are Frontier and Optimum yet CBS claims "live TV is available for over 80% of the country". CBS, your pants are on fire. Shame on you! 0 stars!
Constantly Crashes 1/5
App constantly crashes! Can't even open it up.
Please fix 2/5
By Sci Fi Freak
I would love to upgrade my app to watch the upcoming show, The Good Fight. Unfortunately it would be a waste of money. This app no longer work as well as it used to. It no longer keeps track of the shows that I have watched. And it also loses sound Mid show. It's very frustrating. I don't even watch cbs programming anymore since the update. All my network shows are watched online and the cbs app makes it impossible to enjoy a complete episode. Now you are releasing an online only program!!?? I think first you should actually fix the app, so people can watch without all the problems!!
This app is crap. Even writing a review is hard. This is my third try. No telling how many other people, angry with this poor excuse for an app, have given up.
Time to DELETE.
CBS APP 1/5
Awful, terrible! Have to constantly delete and reload and now it won't open at all. What a waste!
No AirPlay & CBS All Access Scam 1/5
App lacks AirPlay with Apple TV functionality.
CBS All Access is a ripoff. These features should be included for free since CBS is available free over the air with an antenna.
CBS.com is annoying 1/5
I am forced to watch "The Price is Right", since my cable provider doesn't have the show on their "On Demand" selection and Trump doesn't have anything better to do than to interrupt the show twice in a week for his press conferences. The ads are annoying, especially the Weight Watchers one playing repeatedly with Oprah.
Don't even try it! 1/5
Hands down the most useless app with even more useless support. Don't give them your money, you'll get nothing in return.
Always crashing 1/5
I like the app because I can watch shows without a ridiculous all access account. Unfortunately it crashes all the time when I'm trying to cast. I restart everything, but I can't get it to pair with chromecast again until the next day.
Needs To Be a ZERO Stars Option 1/5
CBS is too greedy. I already pay enough for tv I refuse(as I'm sure others do too) to pay even more to watch CBS shows that are only available as "CBS All Access" only.
Really CBS? You think your shows or your network are so great that you charge people even MORE money than what they already pay for cable or satellite just to be able to watch shows on your network?
Not me. Not worth it.
The BEST app...for commercials 1/5
I upgraded the app so I could avoid a zillion commercials. I started my first show, and, yep, I still have commercials. I have tried restarting, rebooting, and everything I could think of, but, somehow, I am still seeing the commercials. Ugh.
Worst app ever.
35 m of commercials for 45 m show 1/5
By Nintendo ninja
Streaming collapses after every couple commercials. Then you have to watch at least two more commercial breaks to get back to where you were
How to cancel subscription on Apple TV 4/5
I got the trial to watch some of the NFL playoffs. I didn't mind paying 5.99 to keep watching through the end of the season. Worked great! But if you need to change or cancel your subscription it is one of the worst user experience designs I have ever seen. The Apple TV version tells you to manage your subscription from iTunes, but iTunes tells you to manage your subscription from the app. How do you actually cancel the subscription? First you want to go into the Settings app for your Apple TV, then you want to look for "accounts" which should be close to the top. Then from there you'll be able to see an option to manage subscriptions at the bottom. Click on that and then you'll see CBS All Access. There you can make changes or cancel.
I want to like it... 1/5
Best setup of all the network web apps...but the streaming rarely works and when it does it kicks you out half way through an episode and you can't scroll back to your place because of the commercials. Oh, and latest update made the app stop working with chrome cast...

All Access? 1/5
By Dat Boi✈️✈️🏢🏢
Give my a break. Just have a TV sign in like every other app. I don't know what CBS thinks makes them so special. CBS is probably one of the last TV networks I would pay for All Access! Even then, it's not even All Access! There are shows you can't watch at all even with All Access! Does CBS even know what "All Access" means?
Desperate to keep ya 1/5
Y'all made me loose 30 minutes to cancel my subscription and i am a software architect. Impossible using the app. Impossible with the Roku tv app. Impossible with the mobile website. You have to explicitly select the full website then find about 8 steps to cancel. Including 2 or 3 are you sure. Desperate to the max.
What happened? 1/5
Was great. Now I can't even load the app. Anytime I got to "restore purchase" from iTunes, it force closes. I unsubscribe from the plan and deleted and re installed. Still nothing.
Can't see what episodes I've watched 1/5
I can no longer see what episodes I have already watched... What a pain!! Please fix ASAP
If you think you're important enough to make people pay for access to CBS like people do HBO outside of their normal cable services you're wrong. Hbo isn't good enough for half of us, and you honestly think we'll do it for you? What a joke.
Terrible Live Streaming 1/5
Being that you can get the shows on Hulu or Xfinity streaming live should be their strong point, not so much. Very glitchy until it went completely out on my iPad and Mac tried my phone and it worked for the final 30 minutes of what I was watching but who wants to hold a little phone to watch tv? No stars preferably.
Stand up! Don't pay to watch commercials! 1/5
I will not pay extra to watch commercials!
Greedy double dipping!
I got the free 7 day preview. I will cancel in 6!
App is now a complete zero 1/5
The recent update on this app completely ruined it! Fire the programmers and hire some people that know what they are doing! The playback streaming on AppleTV is now completely ruined, it is so choppy you cannot even get 1/2 the show. The app on an iPad is also ruined because it no longer keeps track of the shows you watched. There is also no synopsis of the show to see if it sounds familiar. The CW app works, why not ask their programmers what to do to fix it?
Another lame neg 5 star app 1/5
I sent a email asking if they can produce a worse app than ABC. and yes you have succeeded!! I sign in with my provider. you request my location, I have a US IP address - and for some reason you think I am in another country - where country are your developers based?
Time to scrap the crap from my ios devices.
By A Stevin Like No Other
If I have a cable subscription then why should I have to get the All Access crap?
DO NOT DOWNLOAD - SCAM 1/5
App gets you to enter into a "free trial" but provides no options to cancel the trial if you do not like the service. In essence you are automatically locked into the service for $6.99 /mo once you opt to try the free trial. I've tried everything but cannot locate option to cancel subscription.
Scam and should not be this difficult to cancel! Should be able to cancel right within the app!!!!
Way too many repetitive commercials. I paid to watch 60 minutes, but apparently they stopped putting new episodes online.
I want to like your app but i don't ... 1/5
I use the app daily because there are a couple of shows that I enjoy watching.
I downloaded the Apple TV app and that turned out to be a complete waste of space because it will not let me watch any of the free programs. I have to use either my iPad or my iPhone using the mirrored image on my AppleTV, to watch a program. Why??
That in itself is enough reason for me to not get a subscription. But even if I was to get a subscription, it's just too pricey.
Furthermore, I am subjected to the same commercials over and over again but it becomes almost painful. As much money as you guys are making from those advertisers, you still have to charge that much?!
Please fix your app so that we can use this on Apple TV or better yet enable the AppleTV to let us watch the free programming that you put out there that you would allow us to watch on the app.
