Fast forward = commercials 1/5
Every time you want to skip a few minutes forward, you watch 4-5 more commercials. If you want to move back, more commercials. I don't mind having to watch a normal amount of commercials but when I'm searching for a spot half way through a show and get commercials with every move I make, it's beyond frustrating!

Well, it works. But it sadly needs to catch up with other network apps.
It needs a 10 second rewind. And something to detect if commercials have been watched.
I wanted to rewind to just after the commercials ended. My only choice is to use the slider. So then I had to watch 2 more minutes of commercials. But! I 'rewound' to before the commercials started so I have to watch 2 more minutes of commercials!!!

FU CBS I'm not paying you to watch what should be free TV. The one show I watch will be replaced with something on ABC, NBC, or FOX.
Need to step into this decade or you will be left behind.
This new format is even worse than the last. Freezes, on and off....drives all of us nuts! Amazing that I pay for it. Not sure if the few shows I watch are even worth it.

I loved this app till the latest update. Now it stinks. Remote doesn't work with it on the appletv and it hardly plays. Tried watching 3 different shows and none will start just goes back to watch now page.

I only subscribed for The Good Stuff and now that it is over for the season, I have unsubbed. I will not pay to watch shows already shown on network--there is limited On Demand via Charter/Spectrum for recents and beyond that not worth it IMO. The Good Stuff is worth watching--The Good Wife was one of my favorites, but beyond that I don't feel the subscription has much value.
Doesn't work on iPhone or 4th gen Apple TV 1/5
I subscribe to CBS All Access through iTunes. For some unknown reason (unknown because CBS doesn't answer email queries) the app doesn't work on my iPhone 6s or my Apple TV 4th generation. I can however access it on my Apple TV 2nd generation! I don't know whether this is related to region blocking (I currently am in South Africa) or whether it's just a really bad app. Whatever - come on CBS!!!

There doesn't seem to be a way to stream this to Apple TV. Content is much more restricted than other networks that broadcast.
If this is the only way I can watch CBS content (if I'm not watching live on air), I guess I just won't be watching their shows.

I am literally 3 minutes in to the show I'm trying to watch and on commercial 24!!!!! You literally let 3 seconds of show play and then another commercial starts that's 2 minutes long!! I'm glad I cancelled my all access account. Deleting this app! I guess instead of watching the 48 hours I'll just head back to NBC and watch more Dateline..... I'm beyond irritated

Our family has a Roku X2. Since the new update for CBS Access we have been unable to watch on it. I have done a hard reset and a soft reset and neither has worked. I have deleted the app and reinstalled it and no luck. Not sure if we will keep. When you play a show it streams for just a couple of minutes and then kicks out and the roku completely resets. Very very frustrating

Fine when it works. But at times sound stutters or cuts in and out. Cannot access new shows without restarting the Apple TV. App repeatedly forgets which shows have been watched. Lately have gotten into a loop: the app asks to log in, shows account found and returns to the asks to log in screen. When trying to complain to cbs they claim we don't have an account because we pay in iTunes. If the app can't work send the shows over to NetFlix.

I'm an expat from the USA living in Europe. For over a year I paid monthly for CBS all access because it would work in Europe without a VPN. Now with the latest update they enabled region limitation and now it doesn't work in Europe.
So I canceled my subscription and watch via my VPN, using the in laws local cable provider information. Region blocking is such a waist. All I have to do is turn on a VPN and I can be in any part of the world. LA needs to get out of the Stone Age ....

This network wants you to subscribe to watch their network. The app says that you can stream their shows for free this is an untruth ads interrupt viewing continually. I just tried watching a show, I only got in 1:21 seconds because I was interrupted every few seconds with ads. Out of complete frustration I ended the show and exited the app. FYI CBS your shows are not that amazing that I'm going to put up with continually watching ads popping up nor am I going to pay for a subscription for a network when I can pay for Hulu and get every network.

On my Apple TV I am unable to mark episodes that I have already watched as part of my all access subscription. I am having to keep track of watched episodes in a spreadsheet. Please fix this. You have already gotten rid of the main show I joined to watch cbs and your app functionality is akin to using AOL 10 years ago. (Favorite CBS show was 'Person of Interest'.). Also the wait for live TV in my area is getting to be geriatric. 72712 may have a crappy local station but I can pick up Tulsa 6 on antenna. You need to add live tv or allow us to choose a live TV.

Why can't I watch episodes of the shows I like for free on the Apple TV version, but I can on the iPad? That makes no sense to me. On Apple TV it says I need an all access subscription. So I tried mirroring the free content, but the video quality is horrible! I guess I'll just give up on this and watch it on my antenna.

One big omission: picture-in-picture support for iPad; that's a mainstay of Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon
One embarrassing bug: if a movie is 131 minutes long, the display for the video says '2h 131m', where as it should say '2h 11m'; someone forgot a modulus 60 in the code

I just wanted this app to watch Elementary when you're Sunday sports programming changes it's start time. Not paying for that. Deleting app.
