Table of contents doesn’t work. Review notebook doesn’t work. Will be getting refund for my rented textbook and will look elsewhere.

glitchy when swiping pages, I have more than one online book and i can only log in one device at a time which is very inconvenient since I’m always switching from iPhone to iPad...

This app is useless and a waste of time. I bought an eBook from the website and, while I can easily use it from my laptop, the “library” for other devices is always empty. I have tried everything to update it but continuously get errors thrown back at me from their servers. Clearly, Chegg hired some rookie web and app developers to build their structure and nothing is automated and it simply doesn’t work for me. I regret choosing Chegg.
I followed up with their helpline based on their response already and no one knows why this doesn’t work on iPhone 6. By the time they’re done and figure it out, my class will be over. Buyer beware if you use an iPhone, stay away from Chegg.
FIX THE READ ALOUD SPEED 3/5
This is the best feature. Please slow down the speeds after the “normal” speed. They are much to fast and pointless. But we need a speed faster than “normal” just not that fast. Otherwise great!

I had a good experience up until I couldn’t login into my account, called customer service and said my only option is to use the internet to access my book. If I would of known this I would have never bought the ebook, definitely buying the actual book for next semester.

I absolutely hate that I had to download this app just to read my books on my phone. The app its self lags a lot and goes very slow when you’re trying to navigate through the book. Really makes me dislike ebooks.

The app is fine, but the “features” need improvement. For example, highlighting text feels imperfect. Would be great if the app could automatically recognize the Apple Pencil and highlight instead of click and drag. Would also love to see my highlights easily imported to word, Quizlet or even Cheggs own quiz app.

My app on my iPad rarely lets me log in. It tells me that I need activation help or that I have to many devices connected. So annoying.
Way Too Slow 2/5
The contents and features of the app seem to be fine, but it takes about 30 seconds to flip to the next page. My phone is currently an iPhone 7+ so it is no problem with my phone, it just takes awfully long to load pages.

The app is a great start. But I have a 2 hour commute and listen to my text books during that commute. The feature that allows the phone to read your textbooks to you reads the copyright information at the bottom of every page of the text book after it finishes that particular page. It is very annoying.

I had no issues setting up or getting my rented ebook to show up. The page turns are a little slower than kindle, but the speed is still reasonable and not going to hinder my learning experience. The read aloud feature is pretty cool; it’s a bit robotic but it works when the app is in the background! I had debated going with B&N and their yuzu app, but decided that Chegg has way more responsive customer service if I do end up having any problems.

Overall it's good. The surface is easy to use and the instructions are clear. The slow response when switching between pages is killing me... fix this please!!

It keeps saying I've reached my maximum device limit. Are we only allowed one device? I've only signed in here and on my Samsung tab. It would be appalling if you can't use more than one, disappointing even. Please fix these problems.

What a shame that in order to save money on the etextbook you have to read it through this app. Very slow response time and non reader friendly in many areas. I hope this gets much better very soon or I won't order another ebook on this again.
Slow and clunky 1/5
This app is extremely frustrating to use. It lags when swiping between pages almost every time. Highlighting important information is difficult. I don't recommend this app for college students if they use an iPad to read textbooks as it is slowing down my studying a lot due to the slowness of switching between pages for cross referencing information. It's a shame because I love chegg.com. Good news is I can return my ebook within 14 days.

I just wish there was a way for the audio read to read the page without reading the copyright fine print that's at the bottom at the end of each page. Or a way to highlight the page so it only reads what you selected on the page. It would still be annoying, but at least I wouldn't have to hear 2 minutes of repeated copyright info after EVERY page. Also, there is a glitch where if you pause the audio, then play it again, it picks up where it lefts off but it stops at the end of the sentence, but the button shows that it's still playing. When that happens, you have to keep pausing and playing to keep it going, or stop it, and "start reading" at the point where it stopped. Which requires you to read the page, which defeats the purpose of the audio read.

No way to manage the highlighter colors like in the help guide. Can't delete highlights easily. Skips about 10 pages occasionally when turning the page.
Clarification: there is no manage highlighter. It does not exist.

Every time I try to access my book, the app tells me I have not books. There is no where I can 'download' my book to this app. So annoyed because this app has great study features.

I rented two books from chegg then downloaded this app to my IPad mini 4 gets this app is giving me an error message (You don't have anything in your library) please fix.

This app is a waste of space on my device. It does not load the library at all. I click my account and it shows the books. Then the library in the app says "oops, no books".
Gave one star because I couldn't give less. The only good thing about this app is that it downloaded. Can't open books, cant find books, and the app continuously freezes and logs you out.
