It crashed in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma for 3 days, leaving the captive customers of this monopoly without vital information.

Customer service is a joke and the mobile app is a joke. Signed up for it there was a problem and now they want to charge me $30 and I can't talk to a human to straighten it out.

We are now 9 days past Irma still have power in only one room, I am a 100% disabled veteran with emphysema and breath through a hole in my neck( laryngectomee). We have no a/c,no phone,no internet.HELP!!!

You can do several things on there, but doesn't always work.
This App is Virtually Useless 1/5
The single most important subject - outages - only posts the general advice of when ALL power is expected to be restored. And that deadline keeps changing. There is nothing about what is actually relevant to the specific customer, other than that they have the report and when it was posted (a reminder of how long it's been out). This is beyond frustrating. There is no value to letting you know what you've already paid.
Haven't had any big issues so far very happy with the service!!

I would like to make my payments on the app
The app states power has been restored to my home 8 days after hurricane Irma stuck - there is still no power on our street so the app is rather useless. I will delete it as soon as I post this review.

7.5 days without power, if we had an alternative, and we will push to gave it, you would be fired! Shame in you FPL! Shame in you! Worst supplier ever!
Not as good as the old display of information 3/5
It is a good tool however not as good as the one that was replaced. I got a lot of information out of the daily display and hourly usage. Had I had it available this summer, I would have been able to determine from afar that my a/c unit was malfunctioning. Would have saved over $200 of usage if I had the data.

[SARCASM] Florida Power & Light, thank you for stealing millions of dollars from your customers to spend on lobbying, rather than using it to improve and reinforce equipment so that when natural disasters strike, people can have power within a reasonable amount of time. I Am an extremely unhappy customer. I pay my bills on time and still I have no service and no person to speak with about the problem. The website is ineffective because it does not state what the problem is nor does the app. They say customers are affected and they are investigating. That does not satisfy me. What is the problem and why is it taking soooo long to fix? No person or website is able to answer that. It was stated in numerous press conferences that extra money was allocated and that many steps were taken to ensure this problem is resolved in a " timely fashion". Are the wires buried? Not really / because that would be the reason we have power back quickly. We live with outages constantly as a result of heavy rain and especially hurricanes every summer. How fast would the power be on if one of you would be without power for over a week?

Absolutely frustrating. We have well water so if no power no water. My neighbors are in the same situation. We are a few users in the area but we all depend on power for water. We understand this was a storm and popular areas have priority but we do not believe that it is a very difficult task to repair a zone with very few users affected. Trying to get any information about estimated repair time is a nightmare. Unless FPL is unaware of the fact that well pumps need power and that our zone depends on pumps for water this is situation is unacceptable.

It logs me out only a few minutes after I stop actively using it. And it thinks that's soooo important it notifies me. There is no setting for that. Typical overinflated view of its own importance.

The FPL app makes life a lot easier and is very simplistic. No hoops and hurdles to navigate trying to find your account when attempting to make a payment. It's Simply one of the best apps on the market.

The app was not useful during the large scale outage experienced after Hurricane Irma. FPL pretends to offer a map that shows where electricity has been restored, but does not.

I got a confirmation that my power was restored and when I got home my area was still dark . That's all have a great day . I do have a screen shot . Appreciate all
The app probably works fine but is useless without the provider FP&L updating the information the app provides.

I think this was part of the $2 billion consumers forked over to FPL to make hurricane Restoration better.
It probably took me three days even to connect with the app, and it just gave the same message they're giving in the press. "Most people will have their power by 1145 on Sunday."
Doesn't give updates, it's really kind of worthless, and probably slows down reporting of service interruptions.
Back to the drawing board, guys

Every time I ask about the outage I get the same response as everyone else even thought they ask me for my address so I think you have the same recording for everyone and it is frustrating that we got the power on in Tuesday for 20 minutes around 11 am and then off again and today is Friday and still no power!!!!

Just went through hurricane Irma and we left town after the storm because we had no power. We've been checking the app consistently. It finally said the issue was resolved and that they had restored power to our home. Only to find out through friends and family in the area that power was not restored. We almost made a long trip back home based on false information. At a time when we need this app the most, it is unreliable. Everyone I know in the area has had the same false info from this app. Do not rely on this app for power outage info. It is useless.

App works great for checking usage and balance. During Irma aftermath continued to tell me my power was restored when that couldn't be farther from the truth. We are unable to verify if anyone is aware of our outage because, although we have been reporting it, the app and website continue to indicate our power is restored. For this fact, I can't say the app has been very helpful or an asset.

If you're claimed they were all ready for the hurricane well after turning my power back on for five hours they decided to shut it off and it's now been four more days which is fine I understand a lot of people are without power however the only information FPL can provide anyone is we hope everyone will be back on by Sunday night so what's the point of sophisticated programs if they don't work
