Keeps crashing! 3/5
I use this app everyday but the past week it crashes after visiting 5 or so companies and job listings.
An invaluable resource.
Glassdoor has a great feedback model I trust 5/5
With many chat rooms such a Cafe Pharma anonymous people leave negative feedback. What sets Glassdoor apart from the rest is that they require both positive and negative insights. Additionally they ask for advice for companies to use instead of relying on the often sugar coated feedback gleaned from exit interviews where no one wants to burn a bridge so are cautious in responses. Great source of data for potential employees and leaders alike.
Great App 5/5
As long as you are specific with your searches, this app is perfect!!!
Love it... but new bug? 3/5
Glassdoor is a great tool for job hunting. I love being able to jump from a job description to the company’s page. The ability to read reviews, get interview advice for a specific company and see accurate salary estimates is what makes this app stand out.
However it seems like in this latest update they redesigned the job description page but set a max character limit so now most of the job descriptions look incomplete.
Can’t even write a review due to technical issues. Been like this for a while.
Clunky Mess 1/5
Website was great but app is very clunky. Too many pop up notifications, slow, and poorly organized. App prioritized interview questions under company info which is not nearly helpful as general interview process information. The information I wanted was needlessly buried in overly nested menus.
Nice, emails are unwanted but a great app 5/5
The only way to get the inside scoop on jobs, thanks a bunch!
Never works 2/5
Every time I open the app or I’m directed to it from my email, it always says they are working on it to try back in an hour. It has been days now. I’m sure once it works I can give a better rating.
Also, they do email with jobs that have nothing to do with my job search and that is frustrating. I’m a Pharmacist and they send a ton of pharmacy technician jobs. A Pharm tech requires no schooling. I am a degree and a state license. Big difference.
DO NOT USE THIS APP!! 1/5
By Waste of time and money 1968
My email has been flooded with unrelated job openings. I have submitted a request to unsubscribe my email 3 times in the past 4 weeks yet they refuse.
Too Many Review Rejections 1/5
They rejected every single one of my contributions even those that were live on the site at one time. This leads me to question the credibility of this site and the claims that they do not allow the companies to remove or alter reviews. Removing every single one of an individual’s contributions just screams that they’re trying to silence me. None of my reviews violated guidelines either. They need to learn the difference between an honest review and a true violation of terms. I’d like to thank Glassdoor for a colossal waste of my time for reviews they’re going to remove anyways just because they’re not all glowing praise.
Doesn't work at times and will freeze in the middle of searches
literally all i wanted to do was look at a review of a company on safari and you made me download the app and it made even that complicated
let me look at it on safari
Stupid af 1/5
After filling out all my info it kept lagging and deleted all my info or just closing the app on its own 😤😡
Still no improvement 1/5
Decided to write a review and realized I had already written one with a 1 star rating. Well it still deserves the same 1 star rating.
The app does not sync across devices, it does not accurately reflect the items you have already viewed and most annoying it asks for feedback and reviews way too often. I actually thought that was against Apply policy? It’s SPAM people. Knock it off. I rely on the Indeed App simply because this one is not up to par.
Questioning the legitimacy 1/5
If you don't write a glowing review for certain companies they will not post. ??? I guess money can buy integrity as well. People rely on unbiased reviews. Many job posts are old.
Pay Scale 5/5
I haven’t been able to test it for accuracy, but I like the fact that the salary range is listed with most jobs.
I like the extra features like easy push to save jobs and filter setting and notifications.
What a wonderful way to weed out the bad jobs! Companies should be held accountable for the way they conduct business! This app saves us all time, money and frustration!
They delete negative job reviews 1/5
Glassdoor is well known for deleting negative job review that don’t meet their terms of service. But they don’t just delete the one job review they will delete all the reviews you have submitted.
Can't figure out if I'm signed in or not 2/5
App constantly asks me to sign in, sometimes with touch id sometimes not. Really jarring, terrible UX.
Constant crashes 3/5
By Wild & Peaceful
I love how detailed the app is but the constant crashing is annoying. It only takes a few minutes into job searching (or researching) before it starts to slow down, freeze, go blank and closes out. Please fix the bugs.
Need few tweaks 4/5
There is no option to filter salaries for a company based on positions or area of business. Very hard to filter salaries in financial company based of software opportunities
Difficult to upload resume, when it is done properly all of my formatting is off. When I try to view my profile on line does not match my app profile.
Slow on iPhone X 2/5
By Aditya Paruchuri
Lags when viewing interviews and salaries for companies, particularly when I switch between menu items.
This is the best job search app I have ever used. I wish all companies would just take a resume from the app instead of making me apply on their website but alas...that’s my only complaint and Glassdoor has nothing to do with that.
Constantly Crashes on iOS 11 1/5
Can’t click more than two links before the app crashes on iOS 11.1.
Can't apply for jobs. 2/5
The "apply on career site" feature does not work. I downloaded this app a week ago, am running OS11.3 and have NOT been able to apply for a single job. Also tried the open in safari and DID NOT have any luck with that either. At first I thought it might be a server issue but after a week im guessing that the app is broken. Other than that the ui and searching is excellent.
Very accurate 5/5
True wealth of information
Best app for career decision making!! 5/5
This app gives you ground floor knowledge of the company’s you are interested in applying to. You’ll know what the laborer on up to management think, and feel about their employers. Best insight and perspective app I’ve used.
Great Tool for Company Comparison 5/5
By Penelope in Frisco
Glassdoor is my go-to tool when researching companies, locating opportunities, or seeking employee perspectives. I like the company overview area because it’s important to quickly identify the size, industry, and score (from employee ratings). It’s a convenient resource that not only helps me to save opportunities but also permits me to open the description AFTER the job expired. // Suggestion for Glassdoor: Consider offering multiple save options for those of us searching for other people. As is, I just have one long list that I have to search through to figure out why I saved it. I would like to add my own “save categories,” such as “maybe,” “need to tweet,” ”need to email to...,” “read details,” “need to apply,” and “keep description.”
I find GD helpful. I see current job postings that haven’t expired yet, unlike other job search apps. And having the company reviews right there to look at is very helpful when deciding to apply to a job or not.
Just Okay 2/5
They should really add a salary slider to the filter. How is that they have, Company Size as an option and no salary??!!! That addition would help weed out a lot of lower level jobs.
You see job description, plus employee ratings of the company you’re applying to as well a few extras. All in all a good app and reflexes the same experience you have on a computer.
Quick way to see relevant job info
Rejects reviews for seemingly no reason 1/5
Glassdoor rejects reviews without any explanation. This is automatically a biased system of reviews are rejected based on no criteria whatsoever. It would follow that you cannot trust the info on Glassdoor
I love GD....but 4/5
I really like the app; and Glassdoor is awesome. Here's the problem. Marketing/ pyramid scheme type of jobs show up. A lot of these if not all of them are not related to my search. Plus their job titles and descriptions are misleading. Monster also had this problem. I really do like Glass Door, but I will most likely use Indeed or Zip if this continues.
Newest update a FAIL 2/5
App won't even open after the 10/31 update. Fail.
Love it! 5/5
Very helpful for finding what you need to know about interviews, company cultures, benefits, etc. would definitely recommend!
Keep up the good work and build on current success
By Sergio Bonilla
Keep resume update, apply for jobs with resume attach all from the same platform.
Great Grassdoors! 5/5
I noticed honesty when I click want that job always there than change other subject job! Other companies tend changed subject jobs that not wanting waste my time!
Frustrating To Use 2/5
Even after changing email preferences, I still receive daily email notifications. And many job notifications aren’t related to my search. I’ve received Uber Driver as a possible match when one search was call center related because Uber used the keywords “call center” in it’s description as a call center alternative. That’s absurd. Most people I know in Brooklyn, NY either don’t a car, can’t drive, or hate driving! And I hate feeling pressured to “anonymously” give reviews or ratings of current or previous employers. Having worked for a small firm, anyone searching Glassdoor for my former employer can easily figure out who wrote it by their wording style, title, and details. It’s not as anonymous as you think. And nothing posted online ever disappears even if deleted. Ummm hello, screen snapshots?! Also, I only created a login because I need one tap applications. Most job postings take you to the potential employer’s website to fill out a time consuming application. I’ve found Zip Recruiter to be much more user friendly, with. Ore employers actually replying back to me.
It’s a apple app 3/5
By "Any Bleuw? - Wildu!"
Love the app! Has really helped me get a better idea about the jobs that I’ve been applying for.
Great app 5/5
Love it, very informative stuff on the app
Horrible User Experience 1/5
Absolutely horrible app. Great data, but logging in 10s of times in one session is inexcusable.
App freezes 2/5
On a iPhone 7, and on iOS 11.1 so it shouldn’t be my phones fault. It freezes when I go thru the interview section of applications
