  • Used to be good 1/5

    By Dillon;)
Like many other people have said, the new version is very disappointing. It used to be free to teach you A1C & many other things. After getting the update it also asked for a ridiculous monthly premium instead of a onetime purchase as most offer.
  • Trying to delete 1/5

Had high hopes when I downloaded this app. After wading through the tedious process of entering my data, I couldn’t get past the incessant pop ups to upgrade. I click on the ‘X’ to hide the ad and it took me to the upgrade page EVERY TIME. I’ve spent the last 15 minutes trying to find an email address to request they delete my info since I have deleted their app. Still cannot find an address. If I start getting email junk to buy or try glucose monitoring items, I’ll know where it started. Ugh!!!!!!!!
  • Need a new app 1/5

    By Spydergrasshopper
I used glucose buddy for many years but the new azumio version plain stinks. Too many taps required to do very simple things. Too many icons and unnecessary elements cluttering up the experience. A sadly poor design. I need to shop around for a new app now.
  • Not useful! 1/5

    By Lake Superior Diver
I’m “pre-diabetic” so just tracking readings and steps without insulin or any medications. The incessant pop-ups to sell this block current data and no way by it. Not worth the time to download this app!

Privacy Invader. Cannot be used without location services permanently enabled.
  • Junk 1/5

Not happy with app. It no longer syncs with the program on my computer. In the past you were able to see tour A1C now you have to pay extra. BS. Now for the past few days you have bombarded me with saving pop ups. I’m tired of these pop ups and not happy about this app.
  • I’m out of here, AMF. 1/5

Like many others that have provided reviews of this app, I’ve been a long time user. The new app claimed to be newer, better, easier. It’s not. For the last I’ve been trying different apps trying to find one that approximated the early version of this app that app doesn’t exist. However I did find one that has many of the old and new features of glucose buddy. This app lets me hide the features I don’t want/need which gives me the old glucose buddy. If in the future I want to add a feature I can enable it.

Can no longer look at graphical track of my blood sugar levels, unless I buy expensive upgrade. No thanks
  • No longer use this app 1/5

I agree with Disappointed99. This app is not as good as it use to be. I too am unwilling to pay for this app that doesn’t provide the same quality info it use to. I can no longer recommend Glucose Buddy. The Star means nothing! It’s back to a paper log for me.
  • Very helpful 5/5

    By gharb
Since I don’t know what I’m doing taking care of mom, This has been very helpful and easy to use. A great way for me to have more and accurate info when going to her doctor.
  • Good app but 3/5

It needs to disable asking for Bluetooth. I only use this app and do not want to use with my phone period.
  • I Used To Love This App 1/5

    By Dissappointed99
I have used Glucose Buddy for several years and loved it! It was so helpful to me, that I shared it with my diabetic health care team, in hopes they could let other patients no how it helped me. That is no longer the case! Version 5 of Glucose Buddy was released during the fall of 2017 and the App (in my opinion) was ruined. First, the data entry screen no longer fits on the screen of my mobile device. Some of the selections are barely visible. Second are the incessant and annoying pop-up ads that make viewing the App’s screens very difficult. Finally are the high pressure ads to subscribe to the premium version of Glucose Buddy for a fee of $60 per year. Many of the most helpful features of Glucose Buddy are only available with a premium subscription, which I’m unwilling to pay. If you ignore the reviews of the pre-version 5 Glucose Buddy you can see the ratings drop from 4 & 5 stars to 1, 2 & 3 stars. (check for your self) I can no longer recommend Glucose Buddy to others.
  • Cannot complete setup. Insists on Privacy setting I can’t access 1/5

    By TXCiclista
Could not get past the initial setup where it insisted on (and would not allow me to bypass) access to step counts by an app named “Argus.” No such app exists and the Glucose Buddy settings had no such Privacy setting
  • Not impressed 1/5

    By Unhappy @ KPN
Always something and says needs to have access to this or that. Wants to open Argus to be able to do motion detecting but when I do what it says there is no Argus to open.... Tried to contact support several times and get 404 file not found. 150 MB of space spying on my lifestyle and no way to contact them? Bah! deleted this app

I just got the up date on my android phone. I don’t like the new interface and when I updated the app it didn’t record my morning glucose.I also don’t like the way the logs are displayed. Can I go back to the old version before the update?
  • Great app 5/5

I like it a lot better than the old one.

Although I'm new to diabetes & a nurse, I think this app is awesome.
  • Was a Great App! 2/5

    By nursenancy23
Easy to use. Love the graph! I can print out my logs to take to the doctor with me. **ADDENDUM** I would pay a one-time fee to upgrade, but I never, ever pay for an app monthly or annually. The interface is much more complicated and more difficult to use. And why would I want to share my blood sugars on social media?!?! Scary that this could accidentally be shared.
  • Nice App 3/5

    By Rjboy54
This is all new to me but this app keeps the records of my readings and can even email the results to my Doctor . So far it has done very well . Update : The old version was very easy to use but this new version is a complete pain . Do not like it at all !!!
  • Forget this 1/5

This app used to be really good Now updated and its a totally a big mess just does not work as i need it to it was good why did they have to mess with it
  • Too Much I Don’t Need 1/5

    By 54Powder
Only want a simple glucose tracking log. Always trying to sell further stuff that everyone doesn’t need. Deleted from phone.
  • Was better 2/5

    By Debaser331
At least it’s being updated now. For years it wasn’t and you wondered if it would just disappear someday or stop working. I’m okay with the new design but features that were free aren’t anymore, and I do not think that’s cool at all.
  • Shamelessly copies a bette app... 1/5

    By _chasing
The interface is pretty much a direct copy of the much better One Drop app. Unfortunate.
  • Confusing 1/5

    By Bbschoneck
Couldn’t even figure out how to get the initial setup done. Kept telling me it needed access to my privacy settings but no matter what options I opened up apparently it didn’t like any of the choices I made. Had to abandon the set up. Was really hoping to find an app to track rather than on paper.
  • Live with this app! 5/5

    By Ms fixit
My husband and I have used this app for years. It’s so convenient and easy to use. My doctor loves it too. All he has to do is look on our phones to monitor our blood glucose history. It on takes seconds to record your numbers and you’re done!
  • Used To Be Good - Now Just Impossible 1/5

    By crocsrock
This ap, which I have used for more than 8 years, used to be awesome and easy to use. Now I find it way to difficult to do just about anything that I need to do. Here are a few examples of what I’m talking about. 1) The A1c calculator: each time I press the red button at the top which says “est A1c” a message pops up that says “You have less that 9 blood glucose tests. Try again when you have more records.” I test my blood sugar 9-10 times a day. The result of each test I record using the app. When I go to the glucose screen on this app, there’s a listing of the date and time of the test. The old app was MUCH easier to calculate an A1c. 2) Syncing the app with the Glucosebuddy website. This used to be fast and easy. Now it’s impossible, and for me I mean literally. The first time I attempted to do so, I spent a very long time searching all over the app for ANYTHING that had the word sync on it, (after having connected to the website), and finally found a small little button at the bottom of the settings. When I presses it, the only that that happens is that a small wheel appears and just spins, but the app never syncs, and NO logs are uploaded to my account in the Glucosebuddy website. With the old app I could literally upload 1,000 different logs in a matter of seconds. There are several more things about this app that used to be so awesome, and now are just WAY too complicated to figure out how to do, and I am computer savvy. I actually like the new look of this app. It just needs to be a whole lot easier to use. What I can HONESTLY SAY about this app at present is that if they do not make it easier to use, then after more than 8 years of use, I’m going to start using another diabetes log book that I found on the App Store that pretty much has all of the same functions as this one, with the exception of the A1c calculator. Please make this app easier. We’ve been together a long time. One thing they have changed that is an improvement is the ability to record bolus records. On the old app, if I had to deliver, let’s say a 1.23 unit bolus, I would only be able to record it as a 1.2 unit bolus. On the updated app I now have the ability to record the exact bolus, and this is a MAJOR improvement. Thank you!!
  • Does not install properly 1/5

    By Augustusblue
I just wasted an hour screwing around with this app. It ask me to change settings that don’t exist in my iOS. Don’t waste your time and find an app that actually works
  • Was great...Don't like it now 3/5

    By Cizzarries
This was a great little app that I used for a couple of years here. Then they did a "New And Improved." Now there's so much crap in it that it's a pain to just use to chart your readings any more. To be fair. They've made it so it does more over all for those who want to do more health wise, but I just wanted my simple record keeper and chart
  • Time to say goodbye 2/5

    By Goldrrt
Not a fan of the this updated version with the new company. Prior to this it was very easy to filter results and at one point I was even able to add a custom tag. Now one has to upgrade to the premium version to filter results! Seriously?!!!? The ability to apply a filter to my results should be a basic feature especially with the new look. It’s not user friendly to be able to find your results. Bye, bye old friend. Time to find a new app.
  • No good since update 1/5

    By Stortz
Since the upgrade for iOS 11 this app is not worth the effort to download even though it is free. The only feature that works in the app is the advertisement to upgrade. Based on my experience I would pay the $59.00 per year for the app.
  • Works well, easy to use 2/5

    By The 49 Pang
I don't use a lot of the features. It works well for keeping a journal of my blood sugar. I am hoping to be able to print out a three month report for the doctor. Update 11-23-17: the ad for updating to a paid monthly service has taken a simple functional app and made it very difficult to retrieve my information. I am seriously looking for a replacement. I have used this app for many years but now it’s just annoying. I am reducing the stars I gave it before.
  • New change 2/5

    By Somerset PA
Since the new update I no longer use this app as much as I used to. You can no longer see your logs displayed in such a way as to easily view or compare them like before. Adding an entry is no longer an easy task and there are now more steps to go through in order to log or find logs. I like the new look but I prefer something that works well regardless of how esthetically pleasing it is. I do wish they would change that part back.
  • To expensive 1/5

Nice app the details read barcode reading system for carbs everything about this app I love, except for being a disabled veteran trying to live on Social Security with diabetes and its expenses, $60 a year is beyond my budget.
  • Just an opportunity to charge you more cash 1/5

    By Labboy67
I can record data and that’s it. Anything else that I attempt I get an a1c add wanting to bill me 60 bucks? Um no. As a lab tech for 15+ years I can do my own glucose testing cheaper than that.

    Easy to use. Good interface.
  • Garbage now 1/5

    By Yodie99
Used it for years but the latest updates have packed the free version so full of ads that it is utterly unusable
  • Would be 5 stars except... 4/5

...A1c not working. Says “I have less than 9 blood glucose readings...”. Nonsense. I’ve got hundreds
  • Great App - but . . . 2/5

    By Nitemare52
It’s a shame you ruined it with the BS never ending ads!
  • More than I need or want 1/5

    By I'm gone...
I’ve used this app for quite awhile. It had a straightforward interface and feature set. The recent major upgrade of this app brought with it a lot of additional features, a major overhaul of the UI and sharing functionalities. All I need is an app that lets me record my blood glucose. I can’t imagine why I would ever share that with anyone! I don’t find the new overcomplicated UI to be an improvement either. The continued pop-ups asked how I like the app are really annoying, as are the overemphasized messages complaining that I don’t have location or sharing enabled. So, I’ve switched to an app that is simple and uncluttered with a swollen feature set. Sorry this app got so “improved”.

  • GB Improvements 4/5

    By Kenrit
Great App, simple and easy to use, great way to keep track of blood sugar readings in an easily understandably format. Plus can email results directly to Dr, cutting down on time consuming expensive visits. Only two things keeps it from a Five Star Rating, wish would add capability for two separate accounts, so could keep track of my wife's readings all in one App, and it's a small nitpicking thing, wish you would add another "Fasting" category with it's own color. My Dr is mainly interested in my "Fasting" readings, and I can only list "Out of Bed" or "Before Breakfast", which show up with the same colors as "Other" or "Before Meals", causing some confusion and time consuming research to separate them. Add those capabilities, and you've really got a winner.

I loved the old app, however I don’t like the Bombarding of ads and trying to get me to pay a monthly subscription fee. I am will to pay, but not as much as you want.
  • Unreliable 1/5

    By rwjntj
I upgraded to the new version in July. Since then I’ve entered more than 200 readings. When I try to calculate my a1c I get a “you have fewer than 9 readings. Try again later. This new version, the first in years, is not nearly so good as the old one I was able to sync with the desktop app.
  • Great Ap! 5/5

    By idahobirdhunter
I have been using it for 6 months. Especially like the feature that allows me to scan barcodes on foods that I can’t find in list. My doctor was impressed! She spent a lot of time. Looking at the reports.

Love this app, I test 4-5 times a day and can print read outs to take to my Doctor
  • Costly 1/5

Don’t bother. To use all the functions, you have to purchase a subscription. There’s better deals out there for $60.
  • Great App 5/5

    Very well organized.
