Poor service 1/5
GrubHub has had several strikes with me, and I've had to stop using them.
I've had multiple orders that failed to get picked up. Just waiting ~2 hours, with no food and no word. When I have called, they've usually said they were "short on drivers." Like, that happens, but don't quote me a delivery time and then fail to meet it by over an hour. And fail to call me.
Once, after no food came, I called and was told that their drivers' app was failing nationwide, so no orders were being matched with drivers. This was 2 hours that had gone by and they should have called, but they didn't. They told me they were "too overwhelmed" with incoming calls and that's why they couldn't reach out. Perhaps they were just hoping that a certain percentage of customers would not call for a refund.
Another time, it was a holiday and so it was understandable that orders take a little longer. But yet again they quoted the usual delivery time and failed to meet it, by a lot. We had to cancel one order because the restaurant was closed -- again, grubhub did not proactively reach out on that, we had to call. And the second order, intended to replace that one, we had to cancel because it never got picked up.
Very unreliable service. And if you try their customer service chat for a resolution, expect it to take an hour of your time.

The app works fantastic for me in pretty much all aspects. Any problems I’ve had are things that would be on the restaurant potentially making an error or whatever. It’s convenient, payment is easy, and I literally just have to open the door and collect my food, tip and everything paid. Perfect when you’re hanging with friends (can pay separately) or when you’re feeling lazy and want to order from home. Love it.
Can’t place orders online because a number of stores around me are incorrect making online orders online. Some stores are open till 12 but app shows closed or another place closes at 9 but shows in app at 4 making online orders unavailable. Need a fix to be able to use app.
It's almost too easy 4/5
My wife and I are lucky to live in an area where there are tons of delicious restaurants and a seemingly equal number of third-party ordering / delivery services to bring their food to us. The one we turn to the most often, however, is GrubHub. The number of participating restaurants, the payment options, the Yummy Rummy... it's all here and it all just keeps calling us back. I will say DoorDash has GrubHub beat on the "group order" front (I believe I submitted some feedback via the GrubHub site a couple years ago suggesting y'all make it possible for several people to join one order), but when it's just the two of us, I don't mind handing my phone over to complete an order :)

They work with a lot of restaurants and whenever I have an issue, the support staff always helps me resolve it.
There is a slight issue with the drivers having a small problem finding my apartment, they always go into my alley behind my building or to an address two blocks over, but that is more of their GPS/maps problem than theirs.

Second time since yesterday I have issues.
Today delivery was estimated 1:35-1:45pm and I called restaurant at 2pm and they told me Grubhub still hasn’t picked up my order that has been ready since 1pm.
Not using Grubhub again.

Delivery time is always faster than the estimate, drivers are professional and friendly, and the service area is larger than other similar services, and the restaurant choices are larger. Definitely my favorite food delivery service.
Only had 1 miss hap with grub hub and they took care and helped me out on the next order great app and great service. I recommend this app to everyone.

I love this app for go-to delivery in the area. Customer service is great too if there is an issue with orders or cancellations.
All the restaurants in my area have really fast delivery and this app is just so convenient. I only have one concern and that’s when a restaurant doesn’t respond it takes about and hour to get the cancelled the order text. Also 3-5 days to get the money refunded to your account. No big deal and I got a discount for my troubles. I still highly recommend this app.👍🏽👍🏽

The tracker is completely useless. No information of where the driver is. No phone number of the driver to call. Our driver didn’t show up for more than an hour and we couldn’t even contact him.
UberEats tracks the drivers location which is helpful in getting the ETA and calling the driver

There's not enough detail on the restaurant pages as to what each order is and what they come with. Definitely a useful app but needs more detail.

I user grub hub pretty often, and it usually works pretty great. In rare occasions there will be glitches, but usually it has more to do with menu items missing or unavailable, which is the individual restaurants' responsibility, not Grub Hub. I wish there were more PHOTOS of food, but again, I feel this has more too do with restaurants not putting them up. In any case, this is my Go To app for ordering delivery.

Best example of poor customer service. 1/5
Do not waste your time downloading and using this app. Most frequently food will arrive later than promised and cold. Restaurants will change your order without first consulting with you; they will send what they want, not what you ordered. Delivery person doesn't take responsibility for a changed order and tells you to call the restaurant. One calls the restaurant to complain about the changed order and they blame GrubHub and even tell you to better order from UberEats next time. You call GrubHub and they blame the restaurant for the "mistake"... No accountability!

Needs a cash filter 4/5
I use grub hub multiple times a day. It definitely comes in handy. Sometimes I only have cash on hand and there’s no easy way to search for restaurants that accept cash payments. This should be included as a filterable option in the app. The service is generally pretty good, including the Human Resources. My biggest gripe is this lack of cash filtering.

I have been visiting Orlando this week and staying in a hotel about a mile from a lot of food spots. I’ve used grubhub twice this week and both times my food arrived two hours late because no drivers were ever assigned for my orders. Not sure about the rest of the country, but they are AWFUL here in Orlando. You know it’s bad when I have the restaurants calling me around the time my food should have been delivered, telling me my food is ready and sitting there, and not to use Grubhub again because it’s so awful. I’ve spoken with customer service both times and they were able to refund me which is great....but the issue is I order my food expecting to receive it in a timely fashion. Not two hours after the fact.
Delivery Fee And Menu Options Need Work 1/5
The delivery fees in the search results are consistently lower than the delivery fees charged once you select a restaurant.
Further, the menus are poorly designed and have many options that require a selection without an option to decline...generally attached to something requiring additional charges (e.g. add guacamole +$1.50). The application will not allow you to proceed until you have added the option that causes an upcharge.
Probably nothing sinister here, but it is odd that both issues cause higher bills. Hopefully you can get these things fixed and provide greater transparency to your customers because your premise is great.
Lack of payment options 3/5
In other Apps, if you choose to pay via Apple Pay, you have the ability to then choose which card on your Apple Pay file you’d like to use for the purchase. Example, Uber. Choose Apple Pay, you can then choose which card you’d like to use.

I have been using the app for almost a year now and I have had great response and on time with my deliveries so far. I have been contacted when an item was not in stock and was refunded that amount with out any problem. I have also used it in different states when I go away on business and it work just as if I was at home. I am enjoying trying new dishes from other countries. And I can do this all from the comfort from my own home.

The delivery was very fast and very much appreciated. The food was warm and fresh and delicious and the delivery man was very friendly.
Definitely would recommend to anyone.
The only thing I would fix is the map that shows where the driver is. I had to go in and out of the map for it to show me.

Beware the deceitful tip calculator 1/5
Beware the tip calculator converting percentage to dollar amount. It adds more money to the tip than it should, expecting people not to check. This was purposeful because it was deliberately changed.
In the past and through apps they took over, they accurately calculate the tip by taking 15%, 20%, etc. of the amount you spent at the restaurant and providing an honest and easy way to skip the mental math. They realized that they could boost tips and reduce their portion of wages, by instead, dishonestly setting the default to calculate gratuity on not just your order, but also on the additional fees they tack in on and the sales tax. Nowhere in the world do people tip on extra charges or on the tax government collects since it does not add to or change the commodities provided. The more they charge you in fees, they more they expect you to tip in default. I always tip in minimum of 20% sometimes 25%, so I am not bothered by paying a sufficient premium for personal services. I just do not like that Grubhub took and accepted an employee’s subversive proposal to shift a portion of labor costs to the consumer without disclosure.

Better Off Using the Site or Calling Restaurant Directly 1/5
The customer support function of this service and specifically the chat function of this app is garbage. No value added. After having a horrible experience with an order and it being cancelled 2 hours late after it never showed and when everything in the area had closed, I should be able to post a review on that restaurant but nope. Plus why did it take Grubhub 2 hours to cancel the order. Why did I ever receive an order confirmation with an estimated time? Do yourself a favor and don’t bother with this app or Grubhub as a service. Coming from one of their “Top Reviewers” which is also bunch of bs. Never again using this.

I have to say that GrubHub hands down is truly the best food delivery app out on the market. I recommend everyone should use this app the choices of restaurants are unlimited.
No Advocacy w/ Rest for myriad errors! 1/5
Call or email the restaurant yourself. Going through Grub Hub means that when there is a problem, the do absolutely nothing to advocate on your behalf. They blame the restaurant/the restaurant blames GrubHub! Oh..... there is NO free delivery (or free lunch”.) Limited convenience factor far outweighed by the rude/abrupt customer service folk. Use the restaurant ‘s own ordering service or a plain old call.

Grubhub is like the worst place to ever order food from. Every single time I have ordered food, I had to wait a hour to two hours to just get my food delivered.
Slow Service, Wait Time completely WRONG 1/5
I placed my first and last Grubhub order today. I selected a order with a 35-45min wait, so food should be delivered by 6:45pm or so. The restaurant confirmed my food was ready at 6:20pm, and didn’t get picked for another HOUR. My food sat under a heat lamp for an hour and was delivered cold, dried out and unappetizing (read- gross). If you don’t have enough drivers to deliver your service even close to the time window estimates, then the wait time needs to be ACCURATELY reflected in your app. This seems like common sense, but according to customer service, the app doesn’t update wait times based on demand OR the driver didn’t get the order notification for 1.5 hours. Either way, I’m extremely frustrated I wasted 2 hours waiting for cold food with this app. Back to Door Dash.

We have had overall good experience with this app and service. Nothing is perfect but most times the order is on time and of good quality. We use the app at least weekly so I think that’s a pretty good sample.

Food arrived cold and messy. Bag was open so would have to say that was the drivers fault and possibly why my food was cold but also I’m sure the food was ready way before it was picked up as well. I don’t know if it’s because of this $1 Delivery special grubhub is running but my last few deliveries have been late and I order delivery often. It might also be the Atlanta region not sure what the issue is but I’m about to get back to going to pick up my own food again. I’ve come to realize no one in this company cares and that’s an issue when it comes to handling people’s food. Honestly ordering through grubhub is a waste of time. On top of that because of lack of service the food arrives in poor condition and does the restaurant a disservice. I’ve used grubhub for a while now and won’t be anymore. If you can’t provide the good service then you don’t deserve my business any further.

Love this app. I hate to admit I use it almost every week. I used it twice today! I work from home during the day and sometimes work late at night as a wedding planner and this app is SO easy to use and the restaurants available are some of my favorites. The only problems I’ve ever had have been with the restaurants themselves (like the breakfast joint...ruining my breakfast orders since September...). I’d recommend it to anyone looking for quick, convenient, and reliable food!

I use this app a lot and I would say 90 percent of the time my order goes through and gets to me just the way I ordered it. The other 10% if the restaurant forgets to deliver something, or if they mess up our order, all I have to do is call Grubhub customer service and they refund me for whatever the restaurant forgot (Usually just soda, no biggie, easy mistake) and on top of that the last time I called due to a missing drink and my pizza being a little bit lopsided (the delivery driver was rushing for some reason) they offered me 5 dollars off my next order as well. Excellent service every time, I would recommend them to anyone!
