Mirror play 1/5
Please bring back support for mirror play. This used to be one of my favorite provider until this new update got rid of mirror play completely. I’ll get the sound but the screen just Remains pitch black. Please fix mirror play.

I started a subscription through Amazon. Long story short, after canceling my subscription I was still charged the 39.99 for the “live tv”. I called amazon and they agreed I shouldn’t of been charged. Since Amazon called Hulu and stayed on the line to help me with the refund. WHAT A DISASTER! After over an hour trying to find my account by email, then the card that was charged the guy on the phone grew impatient and rude to myself and the Amazon rep. The Hulu rep kept saying he couldn’t find my account and kept blaming the charge on Amazon. When the Amazon rep asked to speak to a supervisor, the Hulu rep said “You know what, you figure it out” and hung up. The Amazon rep and I couldn’t believe what just happened. Amazon felt awful and gave me a 40.00 credit on my account. THAT is customer service. HULU will never get another cent from me or my family ever again.

Hulu is very...disappointing. It takes forever for them to get new episodes on certain series. For example, Steven Universe, a popular cartoon, released their fifth season a while back. The fourth season didn’t get even get uploaded to Hulu until after season five had aired!
Another example of Hulu’s disappoint is shown in The Good Doctor, a popular medical drama. Hulu claims to provide the five most recent episodes, along with the pilot. These episodes are not the most recent five. Currently, the show is at Season 1, Episode 15. Hulu’s library consists of episodes 3, 6, 7, 13, and 14 of he first season, not including the pilot. It would be awesome if Hulu would actually provide the five most recent, but even better if they would provide the entire series.
However, Hulu does have shows that other providers, such as Netflix, do not. I still recommend Netflix over Hulu, though, for better performance.

I love the service but hate the controls and the ads. I have had occasions where the ads skip over the content and to watch a single episode I end up watching 2x the ads. The controls are the worst part though, the slider screen needs to go away because it is so easy to activate- again, it triggers the ads so users are forced to watch so many it gets ridiculous.

The current UI is horrible. Difficult to find things without searching for them, even if it’s a show that I watch. Most enraging, the entire screen will seek through the content when you swipe anywhere, even the slightest bit. I have lost my spot in what I am watching countless times because of this.
I recently upgraded to live TV programming along with no ads. Some shows (even those that are not live or on DVR) still have Hulu ads. What’s worse is that it’s the same ad over and over, I have seen the same Lyrica ad fifteen times trying to watch a show. Again, I’m PAYING for no ads! I smell class action lawsuit for bait and switch.

I got perfect internet connection and never have streaming problems ever, but with this app everything takes forever to load, things like it not remembering where in a movie I stopped watching and such.
Plus how come I got to deal with a minute and a half of ads every 10 minutes when I'm literally paying for there service? So greedy.

I recently changed from Sling TV to Hulu when I saw Hulu started offering live TV. The package and add ons are cheaper than sling and they offer free DVR. They offer a ton of different shows than Netflix and they show new episodes 24 hours after it airs. These features are great!! But it doesn’t matter how great or cheap they are when the network is down 50% of the time. Not only that but the layout and user friendliness is terrible! I’ve used Netflix for years and maybe the ease of Netflix has spoiled me but it takes a long time to learn how to find and navigate through Hulu.
It’s only the beta version for their live TV but the layout is even worse than their stored shows. You’ve taken the first step into offering as much as Netflix and Sling but take a page out of their book and learn how to make something user friendly and laid out properly.
I’ll give them a couple months and hope things change but if not I’ll gladly pay the extra $10 a month for sling.

I’m shocked... and not in a good way. The interface is annoying and not intuitive. The ads... ohhh the ads... I was expecting “limited ads” (translates to 5 ad cycles per 45 mins), but I didn’t realize how much they would disturb my ability to browse. If you want to go back, you have to catch it before you get stuck in a 2-3 min ad cycle. Also, if you accidentally move to a different part in the episode, you have to watch ads before you know where you’re at.

The only thing the Hulu app will do is ask me to login or restore a purchase. I have an account with a trial subscribed in my iTunes account, but the Hulu app just throws an unnamed error and won’t get past the login or create account screen. Total waste of time. Zero stars if that was an option.

I’m loving this service. I can see all the shows I like the next day after they air and I can catch up on other ones I’d missed. I have other streaming services too but I watch Hulu the most. Great service👍

I HATE the stupid scrubbing! I’m always accidentally skipping ahead and then I can’t find where I was, and then when I do find where I was it takes forever to load and I have to watch like 5 commercials! You guys need to fix it, or give us an option to go back to last watched time, something! It’s awful!

99% of the time we use Hulu, we use it by connecting to the TV via an HDMI cord from our iPhone. This has worked 75% of the time, with the occasional problem of having zero picture with sound. Mind you, when this happens everything else works fine; anything else displayed on my phone outside of Hulu, INCLUDING NETFLIX and YouTube!!!
After unplugging and restarting my iphone the problem would eventually correct itself. However, ever since I updated, the only picture with sound I get are COMMERCIALS. As soon as the show starts all that displays on the tv screen is the network logo in the bottom corner, full sound, and a black screen. Sorry Hulu but we're not paying to watch commercials and LISTEN to shows. If this problem isn't resolved within a couple weeks we'll be canceling our subscription.
The content is great. The app organization and navigation is not. I wish the Hulu TV had a guide of some sort. Not impressed, but the TV is still in beta so I guess we'll see!

I love hulu! I get to catch up on all the latest tv shows and old school movies, but it upsets me that when I try to connect it to my hdmi adapter for my iPhone, it won’t allow me to play it on my tv. It just plays the sound, but no picture. Extremely upsetting!

Fast-forwarding and Re-winding 2/5

I was hoping that the new update would change the way you fast-forward and re-wind but it didn’t. It’s such a pain because if your in the middle of an episode and accidentally tap the screen it skips to wherever you tapped. Then not only do u have to figure out where in the episode you left off but you’ll probably have to watch a ton of commercials to get there. Not worth it. Probably deleting my subscription unless this gets changed.

I’m trying to update my card info you guys tell me to go to your site but now I’m being directed to amazon which is dumb my card info is already updated on amazon , i don’t know why i can’t update my card info on your app or official website . If I get this message one more time!! 100mps of internet speed and it seems like every time I sit down to watch live TV I can’t get through 15 minutes of my show before the dreaded message of “having trouble loading your show” reload...go back! Either way it takes 20 minutes for the app to start working again! I know Directv Now is making changes so it may be time to start a free trial and jump ship!

I don’t understand why Hulu hasn’t updated its software where you can play your videos through an HMDI cord. I thought I would like Hulu since it supposedly has more popular moves and shows but if I can’t play it on my tv, I’m switching back to Netflix!
Worst update ever 1/5
I used to have this app on my (older) iPad mini with no problems. I was even able to use the device as a remote control and stream on my tv (using the Apple TV feature). Well, that’s totally fine now. In fact, I removed it entirely because it wasn’t working and now, to get it back on my iPad mini, I have to update to the new iOS...which is impossible. So I hate it. It’s unusable. Change it back. You have seriously infuriated your customers.

After duping me into building another unnecessary profile. I couldn’t get out of it. There was no way to escape and get back to the original page so I could delete this new superfluous profile. I wanted to explore Hulu and see if I could find something interesting to watch. I think now I’m going to have to delete this app because ... well it’s waste of memory on my phone. HULU? Really?

I had an regular account but I bought the one with no ads so after I bought it I tried to switch my plan but was but it showed me the option to pay for a new one so I go through the option and I got tired so I quit for that day. So the next day I tried to watch some rick and Morty but it said that I didn’t how any trial. And I tried everything to fix it but it just didn’t work.so in the end I lost about 18 dollars. So it was a complete waste for me.

Buffering out of control 1/5
I have NEVER had an app that buffers on me this much. Most nights I spend more time watching Hulu buffer than I do watching the actual episode. Ironically, Hulu is also the most expensive app I have ever paid for. Netflix is less expensive and it doesn’t buffer on me. As soon as I’m done with the show I’m watching, I’m CANCELING my subscription to Hulu....
The customer service is garbage. Wait an hour to maybe get a hold of someone. Also when my sports teams are playing consistently states there is no game in progress. Even though I pay for live t.v. I will probably try another service. If I could give this app a negative 0 I would accept I’m a soldier an stuck with this crap. Did I mention it’s garbage!!!!
It would be great if it didn't spend so much time buffering! You get tired of it doing that so much I just turn it off. I'm not going to pay for something that I can't enjoy. Just not worth it

I've started using Hulu more often since it started housing shows that Netflix lost. Hulu's user interface is leaps and bounds behind Netflix. Doesn't save your show progress correctly, pausing a show jumps the timeline to another spot, gets stuck in loading loops requiring app restart, long loads to black 'advertising' screens on the no-advertising plan, on and on and on.

I think it's hilarious how Hulu can always load an ad but never the actual episode. Also, 9.5 out of 10 times this app either won't open or won't load once it does open. This is the worst streaming app out there.
Scrubbing system needs update ASAP 3/5
Don’t try to reinvent the wheel. Change your scrubbing system to something similar to the standard bar at the bottom. Every time I pause the video I accidentally hit the screen wrong and it changes the time in the show. Better I have to watch more commercials. Can you ease up on the commercials. I mean Jesus Christ 80 seconds every 5 minutes.

Worst experience ever. My wife is mad at me everyday because I suggested her Hulu to watch Olympics live and paid for the subscription. There hasn’t been a single day when we were able to watch anything that mattered to us without interruption or the program abruptly switching at moments with the most dramatic potential. Right when Nathan Chen is about to land a quad for instance. Also, the Hulu app on Apple TV is THE worst designed app I have ever used. Today, the service stopped working all together. What a way to spend Saturday night. After spending an hour resetting the Apple TV and downloading Hulu again and hitting retry, I am on my way to buy some post-Valentine’s day sale roses for my wife to save the day. Such is life with Hulu...🤷♂️
