This app works to be able to find the show or movie but when you click on it there are no episodes and the add to watchlist button doesn't work. What's the point of this app if you can't even watch anything?!

Nightmare Navigation 1/5
Completely wrecked any sane way to navigate content (Apple TV version). What a disaster. We've been paid subscribers for years, but I'm struggling to see the value at this point. I hate even opening the dang app now - it's an instant bad mood.

It's so bad. I hate everything about it. It's confusing and hard to find my shows. I'm not sure what I've watched and what I haven't. Please bring the old interface back :(

Hulu is like Netflix's red headed step brother that no one wants to talk about or acknowledge is a thing Unfortunately they lucked out and scored contracts for (parts of) popular shows so it isn't completely irrelevant or toss worthy. However, Hulu's interface has got to be the biggest pile of hot trash known to all streaming app users. Couple that with the forced commercial subscriptions at regular price and then up charging for a feature that is the sole reason people turn to these streaming apps over conventional cable television, and you get a mediocre service that you only put up with for a select few shows that you enjoy watching now and then. The contracts with their shows are garbage, forcing commercials, never having full seasons of shows so if you didn't catch the small window on Hulu from when they added episode one and on, then enjoy starting a new show mid season and trying to put the pieces together..because Hulu apparently thinks it's ok to add a show to their lineup but then start to remove episodes over time starting with the earliest and so on. The app doesn't start up half of the time giving a plethora of error codes, launching problems, or technical issues. Movie options, while nostalgic, are moderately outdated and never any new movies added. It's just all around garbage compared to other steaming apps. Every idea that comes from the Hulu headquarters has been another snip in the already frayed rope which is holding this service suspended over the trash compactor. I really despise Hulu, but like I said, I put up with it because I like Vikings, Marvels Agent of Shield, and Gotham. Luckily I caught all of those shows from episode 1 on Hulu before they started removing the earlier episodes. Good luck starting them now if you ever wanted to watch considering most of them now start on like episode 5-7. Seriously Hulu...who wants to start watching a series half way into it?? If you're going to do things this way, then just air the newest episode that came on television for a week before the new one comes on cable, remove the previous episode from your app and just do weekly airings for one week at a time...you could serve as the "DVR for the people who are smart and don't pay money for actual DVR" guys.

This new update on the Apple TV is horrible!! It's so annoying and hard to find things and the layout is to much!! It's makes not even want to open the app!! It used to look some what like the Netflix layout easy and simple
Now it's a big layout mess!! If they wanted to change the layout so much they could have done it slowly !! I'm about to cancel my subscription because I don't like to look for stuff for long

If I leave the app open on a show then leave my iPad unattended for a while, sometimes a box pops up saying either there's a video error or my "current Hulu plan doesn't support this video" or whatever it says. It's kind of annoying to have to close the whole app and then reopen it every time this happens.
I actually love the app!! Great shows and movies and a lot more selections than Netflix has to offer! I would honestly pick Hulu over Netflix any day.

The platform has all of my favorite cartoons in the kids section, and other interesting shows. I just wish that the kid's shows would update as often as the adult shows. Thanks!

Well this new version of the app is god awful, seriously I just wanna watch shows that should honestly be a few clicks away. Now I have to pick who's watching, and then navigate the devils playground of a menu to find the shows that I like or even want to see. Seriously it should only take three to four clicks to get to what I want to watch. Bad design Hulu, bad design, naughty!

Here I am a year later still writing reviews! So I finally paid to not get ads and my shows won't start!!!!! All it does is buffer and buffer. I've even gone so far as to calling my service provider thinking it was my phone...NOPE! It's HULU as usual.
New Apple TV App is Abysmal 1/5
Hulu's new Apple TV app sacrifices function for fashion. This new app might be pretty but it's nearly unusable. It's one of the most difficult entertainment apps I've ever used. Who thought it would be a genius idea to make users scroll though miles of text to find virtually any content. Someone should be fired for this.

New AppleTV app is the worst 1/5
It forces auto play on you, it gets constantly confused and won't play videos, and especially frustrating, the "what did s/he say" Feature no longer works.
It's a frustrating experience for the app to take such a major step backward. And for what? A pretty, but highly unusable interface. After five years as a subscriber, I'm cancelling my subscription.
Apple TV app horrible 1/5
I never write reviews, but the new UX for the newest version of the hulu Apple TV app is horrible. It's hard to find what you want and it's hard to figure out how to get to the page that shows all the available episodes for one show. I still haven't been able to figure out what happened to my "watch list". Change is not always good, I feel like they tried to update it to look prettier but forgot that people still have to be able to use it.
This app doesn't work on the phone or tv constant bugs I'm just going to cancel my account
New Apple TV update is not user friendly AT ALL 1/5
I love Hulu, the ability to watch shows the day after the air is great and what I liked most about the app was how easy it was to navigate..that is before they updated. It's is so much more complicated than it has to be and what's worse is there is no main page that showcases all trending and new shows. You now have to scroll through a bunch of huge photos instead of a screen that shows everything. Its honestly made me go to other apps such as Netflix, showtime and HBO only because it's become more complicated to see what's new, I have no time for that. PLEASE CHANGE IT!!!!!

The iPhone app works like the TV app should. There's nothing telling you when you have a new episode on the TV version. It's gorgeous, but it's nearly impossible to get where you want to be. Giant FAIL.

This app does not work with chromecast at all. It is almost non functional. I can barely watch Hulu. There are so many issues, frequent disconnecting, chromecast icon disappearing, load time sometimes takes five minutes, frequent errors. To top it all off, if I need to rewind of pause my episode it freaks the app out and it will error, causing me to restart the episode. I dread using this app.

I do not know why but this thing has more problems than anything. It will not load. It won't even go to the home screen. I have a black screen. It won't work on my iPad nor my Kindle. FIX THIS APP!! I'm NOT paying to see a black screen!! FIX IT!!!!!
Get rid of Metro PCS commercial 1/5

The up date is terrible. Pretty much the only way you can find the shows you want is by searching for them. If you are in the fence between getting Hulu or ANY OTHER STREAMING SERVICE go with the other streaming service because besides new content hulu's platform is so terrible that I am canceling my subscription if they haven't changed it by the end of the summer. And the bugs. Oh god the bugs. Of corse what is a huge pile of with no bugs flying around it.

I loved Hulu on Apple TV. The new update has made it the worst app experience that I have ever encountered. Features that were lost include the helpful notification for new episodes, the list of shows that I watch, being able to see multiple episodes on the screen at once to look, and navigating without scrolling for ever. Today, it reset all my shows so that it thinks I haven't seen any episodes! If an update is not pushed soon, I will be canceling my subscription.

HATE HATE HATE THE NEW HULU APP 1/5
Incredibly unintuitive, extremely hard to use, all I do is scroll scroll scroll, still can't find what I want, everything is huge, can't see variety of things at once, such a waste of time, can't find anything easily, this is a nightmare!!! Perhaps I should thank you, because due to this new nightmarish update, I get so frustrated so quickly that I just simply turn it off. I now only watch about 1% of what I used to. I know I'm not alone, in speaking with all my other friends they feel the same. They would rather watch nothing than try to figure out this torturous app. I'm sure that's not hurting you in ad revenue at all.
I like taht there're so many selection of movie, shows, anime and cartoon but what annoys me is that i paid 8 bucks for the thing and there's tons of advertisements! I am ok with 1 or 2 but 4?! Everytime? Like effin seriously? It is not worth it at all!

Really, I've never written a review on the appstore, (and while it's true what people say, that you're far more likely to write a review after a negative experience rather than a positive one), but this interface is really dreadful. It looks beautiful, but (especially on apple TV) it's a horrible UX, takes a lot of intricate scrolling, and is hard to see show descriptions from 10 feet away on the couch. I'm not even that old. Sad times. C'mon Hulu. You're great. Sought yourself out.

The code is not very well written. Whoever tests these recent releases... you need to do a better job! I love the shows that are on the platform but I have to disconnect from chromecast, connect again, press pause, close again... until it works. Maintain your code!

I disabled updates on my Android TV and can still use the old app there. Not on my Apple TV anymore unfortunately.
