Tracking the Tropics app reviews

  • Didn't even recognize the biggest hurricane on record 1/5

    By Dave Bell
Less than 24 hours before Irma, the largest hurricane ever recorded, made landfall in FL and the app said there were zero hurricanes and zero threat. And I live in FL! Oops!
  • Ads are annoying and app overall is poor. 2/5

    By Intechmed
The google ads cover the bottom of the screen, cannot get rid them, my current location is not indicated very well and in many cases not at all. No landscape mode, threat level says zero even with default location saved. I'm deleting to find anything else.
  • It's lies!!! 1/5

    By Bear85436789
I am literally on the verge of getting hit by hurricane Irma and it tells me my threat is zero!! come on people get with the program!!
  • Insufficient 2/5

    By Nanakitteh
The tracking maps are small and do not enlarge well. Also does not track anything but hurricanes, so if you're checking on a tropical storm, you wouldn't know it from this app. There are better weather apps out there.
  • Microbust. 2/5

    By TD's Cox ID
Display is way so small that it's really if no use. There's gotta be a better free tracker to try out before u upgrade. Dumb developers.
  • Pretty worthless 1/5

    By AlohaCJS
Was linked to this app while reading an article about the two hurricanes heading towards Hawaiʻi, but, like others have stated, there is no coverage of the Pacific. Deleted the app.
  • Junk 1/5

    By konab808
If you live in Hawaii don't waste your time! This application is like everything else" not available in Alaska in Hawaii!"
  • Again, Hawaii doesn't count 1/5

    By Notajenny
One would think that after the country elected a president that was born and raised in Hawaii, the islands would finally be considered in the national consciousness, and NOAA would include the Central Pacific area in their Hurricane Tracker... But apparently even though weddings are historically held in the summer, and Hawaii is a major destination for vacations and honeymoons, in addition to the afore mentioned president's home stomping grounds, the 50th state is still not worthy of being included. I realize the Gulf state deal with hurricanes a lot more frequently than Hawaii does but we watch every storm that forms in the Pacific as the chances of it affecting us is fairly significant, even if it isn't a hurricane by the time. It reaches us... And on the rare occasion it does reach us as a hurricane, the damage is typically devastating. Shame on you, NOAA, for not including the Central Pacific in your app. I am very disappointed.
  • Great Hurricane Tracker 5/5
