Great app 5/5
Versatility for days. This app works very well. It has replaced both of my GPSs.
Great planning app 4/5
I've used this many times to plan my route. Works great to explore areas and much better than Google maps. Only gripe is that if you get off the route the app will remind you every few seconds to get back on route
Great app 5/5
I purchased the enhanced version with 100 waypoint capability. I use the app on an IPAD (with larger screen) to locate good twisty roads for motorcycle rides. When I finish a route, the app shows the distance and time required to ride it. I can adjust the route to get a good ride time (for me-about 4 hours).
I export the route to Dropbox as a .gpx file and import it onto the InRoute app on my IPHONE. I mount the IPHONE on my handlebars, connect my SENA Bluetooth and ride. The voice instructions work great. The IPHONE display is good enough to see the upcoming turns. For my Harley, I load the .gpx file on a thumb drive and upload it to the NAV system. Works well on the Harley if you remember to go into IPAD settings and set not to export unused pins. If you let the unused pins export, your Harley NAV system will take you home first then start the ride. When you start a new route 100 miles from home, that feature does not work out well.
I share .gpx files back and forth with several friends who ride. We have built up quite a library for Tennessee.
OK but needs work 3/5
Adequate but I was hoping for more. I found it difficult to use however I haven't seen anything better.
Worth figuring out... 4/5
No scenic route option, only fastest. Must create 469 miles of waypoints to stay on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Otherwise automatically re-routes to faster ways. 25 points max for $15. Not looking forward to making multiple routes to just stay on Blue Ridge Parkway. Maybe if I limit settings to 45MPH during this routing, it will avoid the highways...
Works better than advertised! 4/5
Flexible and easy to use. Tried it for our current India trip without incident
Toll route avoidance doesn't work 1/5
I downloaded this to find out the quickest truck friendly route for my delivery. I made sure to select to avoid tolls and it kept routing me through a tolled area 😒
Not as good as it seems 3/5

I have been looking for a way to customize maps and routes fo awhile, specifically for motorcycle travel. I will create maps on google maps, save the maps to icloud and import the .kml with this app into its interface, thats where it starts do go downhill. Too many little isues to mention here but for a 3000 mile trip (891 miles there, 891 miles back and the remainder split into 5 different rides) I fought the app the entire time. You need to be able to pause navigation if you go off route...but if you do go off route..it cant seem to figure out where you are and even get you back to where you were going. I ended up finding a way to use google maps and sometimes iOS maps and ended up with a better experience, definately not worth a subscription in my opnion. too many things made it "not for me"
Perfect for Real Estate Buyer Showings 5/5
Love that I can put all the addresses in, it can sort them to a best route, and it can export them to Waze, my preferred GPS app. It can only export one address at a time though. So after you finish at one address, you need to go back to the app and start the next route. Maybe they have changed it since I used it last, but thats how it used to be.
Great navigation app 5/5
Programmer makes improvements for good suggestions too! Keeps getting better and better!
InRoute works for me 5/5
It's pretty intuitive and easy to use on the iPhone app
Almost Great App 5/5
I love this app. It's great for trip planning. The only drawback is the amount of time it takes to show the map behind the route. After selecting a Start Point and Destination it shows the route on a grid background no map detail. Often going from a wide area view to a smaller few the same happens, grid with no map detail. I wait minutes for the map detail.
The map actually allows you to terrain associate. Nothing else like it on the market from what I can't tell. Well worth the money.
This app is perfect! 5/5
My wife is flying to LA. She is renting a car and requires three totally different routes with different starting and destination points. I was quickly able to set up each route and bookmark it. The "remove" allows to clear prior route data and start a new one. Waypoints can be added as desired after the fact. New travel and driving times are added. This app also uses satellite GPS where cell service is not available. This is a very professionally designed app. Throughly thought out.
Cumbersome to edit on iPad 4/5
I love a lot of the features, but when I want to change a destination mid-route or restart after a long layover, it is not as straightforward and intuitive as I would like! Yet, it does help so much with trip planning!
Needs Work 3/5
By Engr REH
This app is indeed an awesome trip planner, but the navigation functionality is really lacking. I planned a 2980 mile, 9 stop trip, and when I tried to start navigating, it said "please move 10 feet to the starting pin", as if it couldn't adjust the starting point to my current location. That is totally unacceptable in a navigation program. It finally - some 30 miles down the road - started giving sporadic (as in 'infrequent') directions, then went to sleep again for another 50 miles to so. It is easier to read the turn instructions in the trip details window. I still use it as a trip planner, then keep it handy as a reference while I navigate each leg of the trip with one of the maps apps.
Once they get the nav function sorted out, the app will be a traveler's dream.
Immediate crash 1/5
By Word Choice
I have use this app that a year ago and then deleted it because I had neither use nor space for it. I recently added the app again and couldn't get beyond attempting to add an address. The "no service" message came up repeatedly and within minutes I deleted the app.
New feature request 5/5
I love the app. This summer I have used it for the planning and execution of an extended RV vacation covering camping at some 30 state parks in Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio and Michigan. I've also used it to keep track of scores of sightseeing points.
One feature I'd like to see in the app would be a calendar that illustrates the dates that I reach my route's points. You already allow me to designate the starting date for my trip and because I can designate the number of full layover days, the app can calculate when I will arrive and leave a place. If I could only view all that information in a calendar I could better visualize my entire trip. If I like what I saw in the calendar within the app, I would then like to be able to export the dates into my Apple calendar so that I could share it with others.
Love being able to plan routes! 4/5
This is phenomenal! I love that I can plan motorcycle rides and get turn by turn directions! This app is a lifesaver! 👍🏼🏍
Pretty good so far 4/5
I've been using this application for a couple days now. It's pretty good so far. One thing I would like is the ability to connect saved routes to each other.
Fantastic app 5/5
Before I arrive at a travel site. I put in the airport, hotel, restaurant, gym. The app then optimizes the way points so I travel the most efficient route. My wife and I use this feature for garage sales.
This app is perfect for travel especially in winter. Once you plan out your route it will let you know when to expect snow on your route in addition to other features like wind, altitude, etc.
Love the app!
Excellent Routing App 5/5
This is the best app I have found for routing the inspections I do all over the midwest.
Better than maps 5/5
This is the best trip route planner! You can pick and make your own route and it will tell you the time to each pin, easy to use, well worth your time to down load this app!!

Wasted time to download and add destinations just to see they want you to pay 3.99/month. Dumb.
Great app for RV'ers 4/5
I use it with an iPad air2 so the big screen is easy to see while on the road. Being able to plan the entire route with stops and layovers is a huge help. And if you change your plans it is easy to update the route with the new information. Keeps you updated with mileage and time to waypoint as well as traffic and construction. Using the included filters allow you to customize the route to your vehicle or liking. If you're a road warrior you need this app. Works better on the larger screen of a tablet but a large phone will also work, just have your copilot use it.
Streets and Trips clone for iPad 5/5
Happy after playing with this app briefly, but has layovers and weather which I was looking for. Thanks guys!!
Excellent Ap 5/5
By 777 Wanabe
Easy to use, easy to make changes. I use inRoute for planning and executing motorcycle rides, real estate shopping, and sightseeing adventures, mostly on my iPad. Then, I share the route with my iPhone for use on the bike and anyone else that needs it.
Can't cancel 1/5
When you try to use the free tutorial, you have to upgrade to fully use any of the features. It tells you that you can cancel within the first 7 days, but then doesn't provide a way to do that. There are instructions, but they don't work.
Every ride carry!! 5/5
Motorcyclist and iphone users dream app. The best of the best. migrated from a dedicated Garmin device to this and brought all my routes over no problem.
$4 a month for a map? 1/5
The best routing app out there! 5/5
By Royal Ryder
Like many other motorcyclists, I have looked for and tried many map routing programs and apps. But none compare to the succwss I have had using inRoute. The fact that I can design my own back roads route is worth a lot, since I stay off Interstates whenever possible. Most other apps force you to map out the shorest and/or fastest route, which is usually not my objectvei at all.
Add to that the funcaitonality that this app connects with my iPhone and iPad at the same time, allowing me to develop the route on iPad with the larger screen and then use that route via bliue tooth from my iPhone to my headset while ion the road makes this app totally usable and functional for the serious rider.
Topping it all off is the quick responsiviness of the Help desk when you have a question. They helped me understand the various commands and functions in a short period of time and ocntinue to support me long after the app was purchased. I've actually talked with the developer himself!
I would give this app 10 stars if allowed!
Great Ride App 5/5
Overall works well. Turn by turn instructions are good but you need to make sure waypoints are on correct side of road or it will not stop trying to turn you around to reach that waypoint
Not free 1/5
Can't use without a subscription.
Great planning aid for a long trip 5/5
I've been using inRoute to plan a very long road trip - it been super helpful. Being able to search for things at mileage or hours of driving intervals over the span of a trip has been invaluable.
Great app 5/5
Works very well
Once u want to start driving it is over they wanna charge u money ...just use google maps.
Great App 5/5

Useful for my motorcycle trips!!
Great trip planner and routing 5/5
In town I use it to route many stops then use Waze to give voice directions. Works every time. Easy to use and reroute stops. I use it to plan trips. Very helpful in determining travel time between locations.
I wish it worked for cyclists 4/5
By The Shavian One
This app is remarkable because of its ability to import AND export GPX files in iOS. As a cyclist, I use these to import them to my head unit, which is a gps unit (I use the wahoo ELEMNT bolt) that can then provide turn by turn directions, which is great for 30 + mile rides in unfamiliar territory. The unit also records power, speed, heart rate, pedal cadence and so on. So this app seemed like the perfect companion for that--because google has great cycling directions, but no waypoints and therefore no GPX export. Unfortunately, the app was thrown by my attempts to use a bike path that stretches for miles through a state park--and routed me out and back around the park to the other side via roadways. Such a bummer, because it is such a great app. Maybe the developer could add a feature to force connect two waypoints? Or add more off road info? I do appreciate the free trial--and would gladly pay for it if it was more cyclist friendly.
My Go-To Navigation App 5/5
I have used many GPS units and navigation apps and this has been the best by far. Great routing and ability to customize the route by dropping pins is a big plus. Viewing the curviness and elevation of the route is great when planning a motorcycle ride. My GPS units have let me down and gotten lost, but InRoute has never failed to get me where I needed to go!
Distracting, frustrating, cumbersome and ineffective 1/5
I liked that I could place multiple pins and alternate route plans, but when I went to navigate it became utterly useless. It simple does not work.
Great for guiding me through a day's work as a swimming pool cleaner!
Excellent App For Navigation, Route Planning 5/5
I've used a number of navigation apps from the App Store, and I've found this app to be the easiest to use, and the most convenient, especially for planning routes with multiple waypoints, and saving a library of routes for quick access later.
Navigation is very clear - bold directions step-by-step at the top of the screen, clear verbal directions, and the accuracy has been fine.
Searching for addresses for waypoints and destinations, and building the route from them is quick and easy as well.
I've used the app for a long trip into the Appalachian Mountains, and it was very satisfactory. I would highly recommend it!
Good nav planner 4/5
By Dave Brickner
I use this app in concert wit apple and google but this one is much more versatile. Only improvement for my use would be access to my address book
By Midori Jon
Works awesome! I'm on the road about 60,000 miles a year and this is my go to
You mean i have to pay for gps navigation, lol. I use google. Simply get on google maps on your desktop computer , create your own map with all waypoints stop what ever you want and save it. And use it on you phone. Im not paying for this NO WAY.
Used it one time last year worked great enjoyed being able to map everthing out and save it John
Trip Planning. 5/5
By R/K Rider
I have used several ride route planners and so far this is the best. The ability to set way points, start and destination points and total route mileage has been very useful.
Great trip planner 5/5
I have been using this app for over three years and it's perfect for my needs. I regularly take 2-3 long trips a year of 5,000 miles or more and this makes figuring out how long I can travel for each leg of the trip to plan my layovers. I have the upgrade that allows for 25 waypoints and it's great. I have recommended it to my friends and they have told me that they love it too. Highly recommended!
iPhone user 1/5
First of all I don't know how this app got 4 and a half stars. I don't think it's even a one star. This app is suppose to be for truck routes but when I used it the app would still direct me to get on to parkways when trucks are not permitted to be on parkways. There are free apps that work better than this one and they charge you $3.99 a month for a app that doesn't properly work. Terrible app I would not recommend downloading it and definitely not paying for it.
