App keeps locking up.
I like the store mode and how I can scan products to see prices. Also how everything is all in one app, store, online, and credit card. The part that annoys me is that the message icon is near the search. I have not been able to get into my messages. Every time I have tried to get into the messages, it takes me to search. I’ve tried several touch pens, different fingers, moving down the screen and nothing works.

It doubled my order at one point. So I went back and fixed it. Closed the app to do something and when I can back everything had a quantity of 3!!! I had to go back and fix it all over again. I tried logging into my rewards and it kept giving me an error. I finally was able to log I and it said I didn’t have any rewards. I called and they said I have 3 reward! I think I’m just going to use my Macy’s card from now on.

80% of the time I open the app and it’s nothing but a white screen :/ I would normally just shop online but since I live overseas the website won’t open w/out a blocker (and I don’t have a blocker). Super frustrating since I normally do the majority of my family’s clothing shopping at Penney’s.

The app shows that I have messages (envelope in the upper-right corner), but I can’t access them! I try to tap on it, but the search page comes up. I’ve tried different angles, tried to avoid the search bar, but no luck. Really annoying.

Tried to create an account but says my email address isn’t valid. Funny since I’ve had this email address for 20 years. Won’t try again. Lousy app.

I thought this app was great in every way until I noticed that it charges you $1 to browse and look at items online. I now have seven transactions lined up, each $1. Thinking about abandoning this app because of it...

Today I could not sign in after trying a number of times all day. The message was the internet connection appears to be offline.
Previously I have had the same issues mentioned by others: can't pay, says there is no payment method entered but my JCP card is right there, trouble using rewards and coupons without calling customer service and today it said my coupon was expired when it clearly said good till 11/29. Gotta delete this app till it gets cleaned up.

I’ve always loved shopping at JC Penney’s. They offer good quality merchandise at extremely reasonable prices, especially during sales. In fact, Penneys runs more sales than most department stores - both off- and on-line.
I usually have to drive about 2 hours each way, minimum, to get to a shopping mall. And forget about knowing when stores have sales.
I began shopping at the website a long time ago. Then, more recently, I signed up for text messages alerting me to sales. When the app became available I felt almost as if the Store had migrated into my cell.
The app is well designed and easy to use. So far, thank G-d, I haven’t encountered any glitches.
All around, I’m happy with the app.

I spent around $1000.00 this fall for back to school shopping. In store, I asked the associate to check my rewards as they are not showing in the app. She said that I didn’t have any. That was last month. So I have been trying to figure out what happened. I called the customer service and they transferred me to Synchrony Bank. They were unable to assist and actually hung up on me. If I have the platinum card, obviously I have spent at least $1000.00. So I called the called customer service again and it just kept going back and forth between customer service and Synchrony bank. Terrible customer service! So I went to the store. I had to wait and wait for the manager. She said she couldn’t help me either. She suggested calling the rewards customer service. I explained that I had and was treated rudely and no one was interested in helping me. They just repeated how they were unable to help me. So she found a different phone number on my account that had $10 rewards but had expired in October. I asked her to let me use it because I was told last month that I had none. I should have had much more but $10 is better than nothing. She refused and quite rudely. I will never shop this scam store again. Seriously, Black Friday in two days. Christmas shopping season. Hello?!? She refused to honor the $10 reward and keep a customer. So done! I have never had such horrible customer service anywhere! I will never spend a red cent in that dump again. One would think that they learned from nearly going bankrupt. I see why JCP stores are closing. Unbelievable!

App crashes if you open a message from inbox and then click delete

Reward points and reward coupon not showing. Scanning coupon sent by mail doesn’t work. Also manually putting coupon serial number is not working either. Fix it please. Payment on account works nicely. Browsing and store coupon works well too.
I cannot see the Penny’s in Owensboro, Ky. It states there is no salon in your area. It sends me to Indiana.

Worst app to order from I’ve ever had. Please tell me how 28 dollars of items plus the free ship to store makes my total 33? This has happened numerous times to me. 1.99 shirt and free ship to store and my total is close to $10?! Is everyone checking their totals before checking out??

As of today, 11/21/17, when clicking on a linked item at the bottom of a product page – you see nothing. Linked pages fail to load. I had high hopes for holiday shopping. Hopes dashed.

I continually have to log in because it logs me out, cannot add coupons to wallet, I get a network server error and it does not add my rewards to the app. I have to go online and print them

I’ve tried saving my rewards coupon and other coupons to the app but it never saves. I tried removing and updating again but have the same thing. I finally gave up and just removed.
Never works for me. End up calling customer svc. if I really want...Freezes, won't let me delete items, won't change my ph # to correct. When it does seem to work, I get to end of order, and it won't let me finish. I'v shut down several times. JCPenney has lost several $$$$ of my orders to other sites.
The link to inbox doesn’t work 4/5
Love the app. From the home page, it’s very difficult to open. Many times I touched the inbox icon and it did not open, but rather expanded the search. Overall much better app! Keep up the great work.
Frustrating app. Constantly tells me there are notifications for me, but when I try to read them it won’t let me. Need an update to fix the bugs in this app.

With the last update I can’t get to my mail. Every time I try clicking on my mail it takes me to search the site. The last version was better easier to navigate.
E-mail and coupons 3/5
The app has been nice until recently.
It has the little mail icon in the upper right hand corner, showing I have 4 unread pieces of mail. When I try to open it it just goes to the search bar.
Also, when I try to add a coupon it says ‘unknown server error’. I have tried to scan coupons and manually enter them, I still get the same message.

I have quit using this app because of issues with loading coupons and reward certificates. JC Penney is one of my go to stores but Macy's app works much better for coupon savings so that has become my number one online app

Update!!! This app is Horrible too many issues to keep!!! I haven’t tried logging in, in a couple of days and it is still telling me I have had too many log in attempts, so it won’t even let me in.
I will be deleting the app today!
Too many bugs for me, making trying to order on a phone or tablet impossible.
So far I’m not impressed, it’s not working, ended up having to go online on pc to get all that I needed done, and thankfully I was able too.
There seems to be a lot of bugs yet, if you need a tester o recommend my son, he is awesome at fixing these sorta things.
I am going to wait about a week before deleting the app. Maybe by then it will work better. Right spending 45 plus minutes to climb many cyber mountains just put in an order- one that meant as much as mine. It will mean my husband will get the jacket he’s been wanting plus other stuff needed. Other wise I wouldn’t have pushed as far as I did.
Can't store coupons ~ app is worthless 1/5
Can't believe how many times I have tried to scan or manually enter coupons only to get error messages or message telling me coupon is expired...ummm it expires 12/31/17!! Going to delete, I don't need the frustration.

Try as I might, I can’t get this to add my rewards or coupons. Repeatedly get error messages. Because of this, I cannot figure out what purpose this app serves. I do not recommend it.

It appears you have a quality control issue. I tried to use Apple Pay and it declined even though I use it everywhere else. I tried to use PayPal and it didn’t pull in my street address. Failure number two. I tried to manually enter my street address twice and it would not accept it. Somehow I can’t get your app to take my money.

When I view my Wallet tab it says to enroll or verified my rewards account. I confirmed everything & nothing happens.
