The reason I stopped using the app was because a giant banner advertising login assistance displays over the credit card section when you click on the JCP Card link from the home page. This banner prevents me e from seeing and doing anything related to my jcp card.

For starters it won't scan item in the store to tell you the price, I tried it on more than one visit! It should work amazing in the store. When you go to search for an item it clears the search words out quickly instead of letting me modify it. Many of the links don't work and it's just very frustrating to use. Not user-friendly at all you shouldn't have to click on 4 steps to find coupons and then it still doesn't work. Just awful!

Every order. I mean every order I have made comes incorrectly. Or the item sent us different than the item I believed I was receiving. Get clear product descriptions on your webpage. Also, I never see shipping and handling tacked on when I am checking out. Afterwards I find that I paid $8 to $10 in shipping fees. Why not let me know when I am checking out , so the my shipping fess are not 1/3 the cost of my order.
Terrible. And then returns as horrible. I have to drive to the nearest JC penny to return the items which is 1.5 hrs away. I hate your app and the experience makes me hate JC Penny.
It was my first time using the app. First, I never received my $10 off for downloading the app. Second there are no checks and balances when it comes to ordering. I accidentally pressed the order button and instead of being taken to a order summary page it automatically ordered everything in my basket. There is no cancel order button. I tried calling customer service but it was closed. I called again first thing in the morning and they said it was too late to stop the order which is interesting considering two days later the order is still showing as “in process”. It shouldn’t be that easy to place an order. Additionally, there should be a cancel order button if customer service is not open 24 hours a day.

I'm able to shop and apply my coupons for this app. I can also pay with my JC Penney credit card and get notified when payment is due. I also like that I can scan coupons and gift cards to keep all in the same place.

I'm so sick and tired of having issues with this app!!! It's constantly telling me the password is incorrect!! I'm done with it!!!! Time to go old school and just call on the phone and check my balance!!!! Fix the issue already!! Get with the times and fix it!!! I'm so frustrated with this app!!!

The most difficult app to use of the department store apps out there. Not sure why JcPenny can't get on board with what other companies use and follow suit. I always have difficulty with the this app but none of my other apps. The app locks out, isn't user friendly, difficulty with user sign on, there are several issues with the app itself. I hope to see a better app in the near future. As of right now I can't even pay my bill using the app.

One thing I like about shopping apps is that you can have your coupons or rewards in one place. I've tried scanning the bar code on my jcp coupon 17 times with iPad & iPhone but it just keeps saying to retry. Piece of crap.
Not Able to Track Order Automatically 1/5
Ordered using this app and then got an email about Status Changed. Went back in to check and to track order, well, in order to track order i have to type in again the order number and my phone number. Why can't my order be saved automatically and then just track it from the app instead of me going back to my email to get the order number again and retype every time i check? Kohls, Victoria's Secret, Macy's apps way better in tracking orders. Makes me want to shop elsewhere for inconvenience. Another issue is everytime I try to scan a coupon to add to my wallet, it doesn't work and keeps saying "Try again." 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️

Every time I try to order through the app, there is a technical issue! It is so frustrating that I just give up and don't place an order! Don't waste your time!
The app has gotten better since the beginning of it, I appreciate that...the only thing I have an issue with is that some items I've wanted are never in stock so I can't pay for them and have them delivered to my house.....keep everything stock just in case, I stopped using the app a lot because of that....I hate going to store when I know what I like from JCPenney and I would love it if my socks, underwear and t shirts were always in stock to purchase whenever I want....but you guys are doing a great job with the app experience, peace and love.....Jimmy

Ordering using the JCP app is too time consuming. I was told that I would receive a $10 rewards If i downloaded the app and placed an order using the app. That did not happen. First after downloading and after repeated sign ins I was locked out of my account. After 3 attempts in a month's time I was finally able to sign in and place my first order. It took 4 times the amount of time than it would have on a laptop. Still no rewards. I was told to add another credit card and then I would receive an app in 24 hours. All of this and still no app. This was not worth my time!!!!!!
I like the app because it is convenient. However, it would be nice if we could access other features to access more detailed information. I try to avoid logging in and making a payment because it requires me to enter my credit card number every time and I don't always have my card on me to do that.

I wish there were a way to turn off unwanted ads from coming to the in box on the app.
I have downloaded the app because I enjoy the convenience of shopping on my phone. This should be enough to let JCPenney's know that I like the store. I don't want to be harassed every time I log on with unwanted solicitation in the inbox.

I like the app but never got the $10.00 in rewards. That was the reason I got the app several friends found the same thing. I was given a number to call to get the rewards but when I called the was like an hour wait to speak to a representative. Not worth it.
WHY do you place a huge banner across the front of the LOGIN SCREEN making it impossible to login on iPads?! Come on! The developers can't seriously think this works for anybody!

I'm tired of having to go into it twice to remove the notifications - EVERY TIME. If I read a message or delete a message, the notification is still there until I open it a second time. Very annoying.

Can't order or remove things from cart without an error. Can't add coupons to my wallet, even though they are still good for at least a week.

First, due to an apparent coding issue the rewards system doesn't interface with my email provider so your fix is for me to get another email with a different service. Sorry but no, you fix it! Coupons I received in mail won't scan and the available coupons on app don't match printed version(I.e. The extra 30% on the printed version says in store and online. The one in the app says online only which means if I didn't take the print version to the store I couldn't get the discount. I have no problems with my Kohl's app...maybe you should look at theirs!!

This is the slowest most glitchy crashy app ever!!!
I had a coupon for 65% off and it took so long to put things in my cart it turned 12 AM and I missed it completely and couldn't use it!

Cannot cancel order and no confirm 1/5
I accidentally hit place order button and there is no confirm purchase like other apps I've used. No way to cancel and customer service is closed . Very unhappy as I have been long time customer. I removed all forms of payments and will not save ever again

I ordered shoes for same day store pick up, and after I paid it said I could no longer pick up the same day. The next day, the shoes shipped from wherever and the money was taken out of my account. It's been two weeks and I still have not gotten an email to pick up. I walked into the store today to ask about it and they happen to have the shoes in their store! Unfortunately they weren't for me so they can give me one of those pairs because they need to wait for "my order." So I bought the other pair while they resolve my issue, and they didn't take the security thing off. Now I have to go into the store, yet again. This is the last time I buy with JCPenney.

Ridiculous nonsensical hoops to jump through... can't log in, won't send a password reset mail... obviously written overseas by folks with a poor grasp of English!
"Please enter valid email Id" comes up every time because I have a .net address... pretty common here in the USA! And what the FARK is an "email ID"? It's "email ADDRESS".
Having a login password for the card and then another for the account is madness- please integrate apps so we can do it all with just a PIN! This is the 21st century... this is 'merica!
App 'pologize? - no rewards! Lost? 2/5
We bought nearly $5k worth of appliances and it took forever for the rewards. Then they sent a note to say the rewards expire in two weeks.
We went to the Penny's store to buy yet another appliance with the rewards, but the clerk said there was no entry for our phone number.
I tried the Penny's App and found no method to display Rewards. I tried the Chat feature and the CS could also not find our account.
I phoned the CS direct and went on a 15 minute hold. Finally got a Rep who plugged in our missing phone number, and lit up our $180 plus rewards that were referenced in our email.
It took forever for the Rep to get it right. I think 6 times to repeat the phone number.
There was no one in the appliance department to take our order for the microwave, so we decided to buy a couple of water filters for the new Samsung Fridge.
The Rewards system does not allow more than 10 rewards to be applied to a single purchase, so we had to make two separate purchases! The clerk had to apply each of the $10 rewards to the purchase one by one!
Many of the items in the store were horribly overpriced, but then many of them carried signs declaring "40% off".
The two clerks that we worked with next to the appliance department were very helpful.
I will probably seek them out if we ever buy anything from JCP again... not likely.
PS: The appliance installers were not so great either. They neglected to tighten the water hoses on the clothes washer. Leaked a week later. The dishwasher guy (not exactly a JCP guy, but JCP did not tell us the were not going to install it... but then they agreed to)...
That guy failed to connect the top brackets of the washer. It tipped over, turned on a water leak sensor and would no longer run until a different plumber came out. The first guy did not return our phone calls!
Calls to the local JCP store are computer ops, with no method to leave a message. Messages left with hoomans are just as effective. In store humans are much better.
