Lifeline... App

“[A] surprising iPhone and Apple Watch bestseller is pushing the boundaries of fiction” - “This is the best game on the Apple Watch” - Lifeline is a playable, branching story of survival against all odds. Using your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch, you will help Taylor make life or death decisions, and face the consequences together. Acclaimed writer Dave Justus (Fables: The Wolf Among Us) weaves a gripping interactive story through the aftermath of a crash landing on an alien moon. Taylor is stranded, the rest of the crew are dead or missing, and Taylor’s communicator can only reach you. A totally unique experience enabled by modern devices, this story plays out in real time. As Taylor works to stay alive, notifications deliver new messages throughout your day. Keep up as they come in, or catch up later when you’re free. You can even respond to Taylor directly from your Apple Watch or your iPhone lock screen, without launching into the app. Or, dive in and jump back to earlier points in the story, and see what happens when you make a different choice. Simple actions can have a profound effect. Complete any single path to restart the story and unlock this mode. Lifeline is a deep, immersive story of survival and perseverance, with many possible outcomes. Taylor is relying on YOU. NEW in version 1.8: Stick around after the game for a special story epilogue from Dave Justus. For players who have already finished the game, the Sneak Peek becomes available under the game options. Enjoy! Internet connection not required. No in-app purchases and no ads. WATCH US: Praise for Lifeline: “I’ve played many games that I find engrossing, but Lifeline may be one of the first that changed the way I thought about my daily routine, which leapt off the screen and became a part of my lived experience.” - Eli Cymet, Gamezebo “I felt an immediate attachment to a fictional character pinging me from a strange galaxy to my wearable.” - Luke Hopewell, Gizmodo Australia “[P]laying it on the Apple Watch makes you truly feel like you’re exchanging messages with an astronaut via a futuristic transmitter.” - Michael Andronico, Tom’s Guide “For a few brief hours I cared – really cared – about the fate of a completely fictional character. I don’t think any other game I’ve played has made me feel that way before.” - Matt Thrower, PocketGamer Lifeline was created by: Dave Justus Mars Jokela Dan Selleck Colin Liotta Jason Nowak Ben “Books” Schwartz

  • Love the story 5/5

I am totally into this story. I just wish I didn't have to wait so long to journey through it waiting on Taylor to get back to me.
  • Lifeline 5/5

By Wish I hadn't beat it...
It is really fun, and it is realistic. When Taylor sleeps, you have to wait 8 hours. When he is walking somewhere, you wait for him. It is fun and engaging for me, but some people say it is too slow for them.

The characters and story are fantastic! App runs well with no crashes, and is worth my money.

  • Amazing 5/5

    By adictide
I've never liked games that need lots of reading for it, but I enjoyed ever bit of this game. The suspense keeps me on my toes and I can wait to play the silent night.
  • What an experience 5/5

    By Kboog22
The only fault in this game? It wasn't longer. Throughout the journey, you form a connection with Taylor, who is just like you or me. You laugh with him, grieve with him, ball your fists up sigh in frustration right along with him. Guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat. I could not recommend more.

  • Not worth paying for 2/5

    By Jf53pikas
So I made what I thought would be a rational decision about 10 minutes in game and character died. Had to start at beginning all over again. So not real impressed especially for 2.00 dollars
  • Great Distractor 5/5

    By hominid
I can say that sitting through a redundant meeting where I cannot extract my phone, that the subtle interaction with this game is a life saver. Fun, quirky, and can be played on the sly (under the table with infrequent glances). It Is a harmless distraction for droll encounters.
  • Great in all respects 5/5

    By CoNflictIRL
Great story, cant wait to finish the others, sucked me right in.
  • Fantastic choose your own adventure 5/5

    By ChiefAllDay
Started out just reading the story to myself, but my daughter asked what I was doing so I started to read her what was going on... and we both became addicted. This is, by far, a novel way of rekindling the excitement of choose your own adventure, and it doesn't have to be a single player game. Loved it, 10/10, would play again!
  • Momentary Distractions 4/5

    By Pr3st0_;-{
This is a great mobile game if you're looking for a game to fill small chunks of time in a busy day. The story is entertaining enough to keep you interested but not to dwell on if you made a good/bad decision which is great. I feel a slight tinge of sympathy for Taylor when I can't get to him right away, because I imagine him feeling abandoned. Yes he's a little needy, but I wouldn't go as far as others who've called him whiny.
  • ❤️ 5/5

I love it so much! This is like the best game ever!!! I love it so much this is my 2nd time paying it!🔥 but they should make them free and have in app purchases
  • Immature writing 2/5

    By Bmaultsby
I liked the idea, but Taylor is ridiculously flippant and jokey given his/her predicament. Eventually it got too annoying and I stopped caring.
  • Had me going all the way to end 5/5

    By Wvugrad14
Omg wow I just finished it and let me just tell you I did feel a connection to Taylor and when he finally came to the end a few minutes ago I was like he wanted to be like his crew...Wow...I'm going to find out if I chose differently will it end different or about the same.
  • Awesome and can teach some life lessons 5/5

    By Ian48385
Why it teaches lessons is because life is a mystery. The part where you camp out in the galley or the reactor is super hard, because it's either you get radiation from the reactor or you don't, or you freeze to death or you fall asleep super cold. It's just surprising how many things you can do in this game.
  • Can't wait for Taylor to get back... 3/5

By ishallsaythisonlyonce I can kill him myself. No, too violent. But seriously, this guy makes you want to punch him in the face. The game is pretty decent and exactly like choose-your-own-adventure books. There's nothing complicated in designing this app as all you're doing is making a decision or waiting for Taylor to get back to you. However, since this is a story, the choices you get to make are pretty flimsy, especially given the context. Taylor is supposed to have won some science competition, and the prize is that he gets to join the crew on their mission. Anyhow, you'll learn that Taylor suffers from textual diarrhea. Also, you'll begin to harbor suspicions that he rigged the competition; this guy is a f*kin idiot.
  • Over rated 1/5

    By Reinkejohn4
The idea/story is good, has potential. The problem I have is there doesn't seem to be much variance in the story based on what you choose when your character asks for advice. He/she just does what they want to do despite what you tell them to do, a lot of questions Taylor asks you only give two choices that are the same type of answer. I wanted Taylor to leave the inside of the "peak" and no matter how you answer, Taylor ends up staying in there. The story really doesn't give you much option or choices in directing the character, Taylor. Although this game is a very good idea, this app was very poorly put together.
  • Great game but here are some things... 4/5

    By phenoma36
Here's one thing Taylor cusses kind of a lot and I would like that changed because, if you remove him cussing it would make it all-age appropriate. Thank you for reading my review, 3-minute games LCC.
  • This game is cool 5/5

    By lionman78
It is a really fun game to play if you can't find a game to play
  • Great concept that could be executed better 3/5

    By hoongroov
I love the idea of this game. As an English major and a teacher, I love the interactive storytelling that is at its heart. I also like the concept that I'm somehow interacting via technology with a distant protagonist. These attributes give it potential. However, there are some issues that make the idea less enjoyable. First, if you have notifications turned on (which adds to the overall simulation of getting messages from a distant person) it can get rather obnoxious. It interrupts game play in other games, as well as video viewing. Second, the story ends rather quickly and anticlimactic. I wondered if this was due to the choices I made, so I replayed the game several times and even referenced a walk through. Even the most exciting rendition of the story is rather mediocre in the way of storytelling. Finally, there are programming issues with some of the choices. Having played through the game several times, I know how certain key decisions can lead to different outcomes. Yet later on the story references certain earlier events that didn't happen. For example, in one play through, I told Taylor not to break into the galley. He/She never even attempted it. I knew from a previous rendition that this would cause a shoulder injury, so that's why I avoided it. But later in the story, Taylor started referencing the shoulder injury that I very directly helped him/her avoid. Due to these faults, the overall quality of the gaming experience does not warrant the price you must pay to play.
  • Annoying 2/5

    By hwoodman
Yes, the story seems interesting. I generally like "choose your own path" interactivity. But you can't play this game for more than 15 seconds before you receive a "Taylor is busy" message and you have to leave the game and come back later. So an hour of actual game play could take months of elapsed time. By the time I come back to the game, I've lost track of the story and have to back up and reread. This game would be OK on an iWatch if you are willing to let a game interrupt you with alerts. Otherwise, it is very annoying.
  • so fun 5/5

really fun... it's like a new oregon trail adventure for the modern era in some ways 😊
  • Very interesting concept 5/5

I really like the idea of having Taylor communicate with you in real time. I highly recommend this game for anyone who likes a game they can check up on every few hours.
  • Real time adventure... 5/5

Just started playing today and am already hooked. Love the idea behind the gameplay!
  • Super Cool! 5/5

    By Trine29
Had a lot of fun with this, and it hooked me pretty good! I even got him all the way through on my first try, no cheats or spoilers!
  • Amazing game!!!😆 5/5

    By Silty Anemone
It's not often in a game that I get emotionally attached to any of the characters (except maybe Halo or Ghost Recon) but I never expected it from a mobile game! I felt that Taylor was alive, somewhere on a moon, in real danger, and that I was his ( or hers, it goes both ways) only hope for survival. It's just like a really good book, except that the fate of the main character you know and love is on the line Overall awesome game. Get. Get now. Now. Push button and get.

  • Great game slow but picks up speed 5/5

    By 847347;8;8485858;7,
At first I was mad at the fact that you had to wait, but the I realized it made the game more interesting and realistic. This is a game is like no other with a great story and life altering choices. This is a game that will soon come to love.
  • Okay, so, wow 5/5

    By Tasha.😘
I don't normally rate games, but I feel obliged to put my two sense in. I mean, I'm only on /day one/ of Taylor's journey and already anxious for tomorrow. I'm probably going to write a new review further into the game purely because I already have such a deep respect for it. For others out there, BUY THIS GAME. It's well worth the price and it's breathtaking. It's not only fun but it's great writing... scripting? I don't know. Get the game. It's worth it. Just trust me.

  • Amazing, but 4/5

This book is so amazing & definitely worth the money. But I just wish I was told what order the books/games go in. Because I basically have to guess. And I think I accidentally skipped some but I have no way of knowing. Ugh

  • Ehhh 3/5

    By RhinoRhino65546764456776
To start off I eant to say that I only got about 5 min in. I love the idea and the story but i hate the pace. Its good if you are a super bussy person who can only take a max of 3 min out of your day to play a game, but if your impacient like me and want to play at your own pace its not for you. Like I said I like the idea and story but not the pace... Just not for me.
  • Sooooooo fun 5/5

It's fun to see the notification on your watch and be able to communicate with a science student lost on a desert planet (hopefully like tatooine) I love this game and play it every day ~Jim
  • Annoying as hell 1/5

    By Ytrx13
It's a great game, if you enjoy talking with a someone who constantly complains about everything to you. I actually wish I knew which path killed her the quickest just so I could rid this game's fictional universe of a unless and intellectually void individual.
  • Total Crap 1/5

Game was written by a child. Weak story, weak writing and a complete waste of time.
