I’m in awe 5/5
By Ethnic tigger
This was the coolest game I have ever played. I originally looked up games that could be played on an Apple Watch and this game popped up! This was brilliant! I never pay for games ever! But as soon as I realized what this was I knew I had to buy and I would buy it again! In fact I’m buying the next episode right after I write this! YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPPOINTED!
Just one thing 4/5
This game is really cool and all... but the one major problem that made me regret buying it is that you have to wait for “Taylor” to be ready for more instructions. If your an impatient person like me, it’s SUPER annoying. In my personal impatient opinion, this game is not worth it. Creators please fix.
Stupid decisions. Wooden dialogue.
Buy now 5/5
This game is epic, go buy it
To me, this app is very immersive. I feel like I am there with Taylor. I feel fear for him and myself. It is an overall great experience.
Oh my Goodness! 5/5
The story is written like you are actually there! I could play this story over and over! I would highly recommend this game, especially if you are into dialogue role play.
Way Fun! 5/5
I was looking for an interesting game (I don’t browse very often) and I stumbled upon this gem and am having a blast playing it! Worth every penny of the $1.99 I paid!
I played this game while I was out of work sick. Started over the weekend and was able to finish it fairly quickly. I have got to say this was the best iPhone game I have ever played. It was suspenseful and heart wrenching as well as completely enthusiastic when things went right. Taylor has so much life and I genuinely worried and stressed about him with every turn. It was incredible, and to be honest I was sad it was over. Thank you so much it’s an amazing game and everyone should play it.
Borrrrrinnngggggggg ughhh 2/5
I payed for this app thinking it was actually worth my time, boy was I wrong it was so boring the guy is so dramatic and he won't stop sending you notifications it's almost overwhelming I wasted my money on this not happy
Amazing Game 5/5
Tbh I see a lot of games they try to execute this kind of format but this really takes the cake. Ima keep is short and sweet, I love this game a lot it really helped my hone in on my intuition and thinking about the future. I'm not sure if I do have a good intuition or am good at thinking about consequences, but I saved him on my first try playing and I'm v proud of myself. Thank you for developing this game because it's a masterpiece.
So many ways to die 5/5
Fun way to pass time
Enjoying it so far 4/5
If there was a text size option this would be perfect
Will be playing the sequels 4/5
Update: it's a clever concept, but I don't think there were enough real "choice"... Unlike the original Choose Your Own Adventure books, where there really were multiple outcomes. The choices sort of tunnel towards a good outcome. That being said, it's still a fun game on the Apple Watch, with updates coming in real time. I will play the sequels and hope the storylines get better.
I am in the middle of playing this Choose-Your-Own-Adventure-esque game on my Apple Watch. Having a good time. I live the real time aspect to the game. I'll definitely be playing the sequels.
Hats off to the developers for paving the way for a whole new subcategory of games for the Apple Watch!
I love this game!!! 5/5
This game is amazing. I’ve played it several times and beaten it. I love the characters and story line in this game. I just wish i could get the rest if I wasn’t so poor.
Anticipation - The Game 5/5
By THE GAMER6
This game constantly keeps you on your toes and forces you to believe only what is told to you.
I love it.
I found myself trying to kill the guy myself.
Not great 2/5
The storyline is weak, unoriginal and too short. The dialogue is very juvenile; much like a teen novel. The choice of responses are often the same as each other, require little problem-solving and / or are illogical, and I suspect that the player’s choices rarely actually impact the outcome of the story. The anti-climatic ending also attempts to coerce you into signing up to receive ads for further games. Overall, not quite sure why this is so popular!
Beast game 5/5
I don’t even have words for this game.Wait yes I do .Amazing.this game is sick I recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Interesting game, but 4/5
I like the unusual style of the game, but I really think it would be so much better if it included occasional photo and video messages from Taylor, it would be a more immersive experience. So far, this game is intended for people who like to read only.
Great story 4/5
I loved this game. I like the character and the interaction you have with him. The only complaint that I have is that the game is too short. For the price, I think it should have been twice as long. It’s not as if I am paying for amazing graphics or anything like that.
A simple text game could and should be cheaper or take longer to finish playing.
I would not have purchased the bundle if I had realized how short it would be.
Such a cool idea 4/5
I actually really enjoyed this, but the way messages come in one sentence at a time like a text message from those friends who think they need to send it word by word REALLY triggered my anxiety levels. Nothing... nothing... then a virtual tsunami of notifications flooding my phone. It made me crazy. I’m all for realism, but Taylor is an awful person. :p
Outside of that, I loved it.
iOS 11 problems 3/5
Can’t play in Notification Center in IOS11. Would be very very happy if this was fixed.
Just wow 4/5
It’s funny, whenever I see glowingly positive reviews on iPhone apps I usually think they’re paid for and not actually indicative of the quality of the game. For Lifeline I now completely believe the reviews are true.
I’ve never been a mobile gamer or even reviewed an app but I bought Lifeline on a whim and played it for a while. It took me by surprise. It’s an amazingly written and enjoyable game, quality I would expect from a full console/PC game.
The immersion in this game is wild. The real time mechanic might turn some off but fortunately you’re provided a function to disable the real time to skip over plot branches you’ve followed before.
The pauses are placed really well to build suspense. You don’t get them placed arbitrarily to extend playtime, they’re always for dramatic effect and immersion. And even then toward the climax of the game the long pauses vanish so you get to experience the action all at once and aren’t let down by pacing.
The plot is pretty good, it’s definitely written and told well although not completely flawless, honestly the first 3/4 of the game is aimless build up with enormous amounts of foreshadowing but very little action or intrigue. Regardless, I still managed to get the main character injured early on, so there’s still impact in your choices in the beginning. The only big issue is that the game starts with long pauses (I don’t mind) and very slow world building and all of the action and real “plot” comes through in the climax, which only lasts maybe 20 minutes if you’re only playing the game.
Really, other reviews may exaggerate how much your choices impact the game. But it’s done in a reasonable way, sometimes you’re given a choice and the main character will go against it (but thou must, Zelda style) but only because your suggestions are dumb or will obviously hurt them. Maybe it’s bad to give the option in the first place, but hey, it’s pretty realistic and sometimes even a bit of comic relief.
So yeah, the game isn’t perfect but it’s still an amazing experience, the best I’ve had from a mobile game. Really, I never expected this level of quality from any mobile game ever.
Maybe this long drawn out review looks like either shilling or being a paid promoter but nah, I’m dead serious about the quality of this game. Hopefully other people will be willing to drop the very reasonable sum of money on the game and get a lot to think about from it.
All in all, 4.5/5, I just can’t give it a .5, and rounding up would imply the game is perfect. So yeah, it’s okay I guess.
Good story 5/5
Not really a game but rather interactive fiction. So this is all about the story. In making choices, you become part of the story, very aware that the wrong choice can be made. Very good.
Dis game cool 5/5
iPhone X support? 5/5
Can you please update lifeline series to support the iPhone X display.
I love the game 5/5
By Branch and Poppy forever
I love lifeline but in my opinion Taylor takes way to long to respond... but i still love the game!
Not working well with Apple Watch 1/5
This app used to be great and always worked. I recently got myself and a friend the new Apple watch series 3, and the app just loads forever. If it does pull up the questions to answer, choosing the answer will not "stick". This needs an update
Great concept, bad writing 2/5
By 9 inch
I love the concept of this game, it reminds me of the choose your own adventure books I used to read as a kid. However, the writing here is really bad. The jokes are terrible, the story is weak and a lot of the choices you make are meaningless. For example there are several times where you have to choose between “what happened?” and “are you alright?”. I’m guessing that the raving reviews come from people who never read a good sci fi story, because this isn’t one.
Awesome game!!!!!!😆😆😆😆 5/5
I love it! I couldn't wait for Taylor to get back to me! Whenever I would have a brake in school (I'm home schooled) or dance I would check him!!!! After dinner I would literally run up to my room and get right on my phone and answer his questions! It has an amazing storyline! It definitely answered all my questions! It has an amazing twist! I LOVE IT!!😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
This game is one of a kind, I like how it’s like you’re actually texting someone, they aren’t always there, and that’s what I find so great. The story line is ok, I wish they had more options for what you can say, and this wouldn’t be the game for you if you like playing games all in one go, it’s tedious. GREAT GAME 100% would recommend!!!!!
Why not Korean language. 5/5
I want support for Korean language.
Suspenseful and addicting unlike any other game out there! 5/5
This game is unlike any other game out there. There’s no boring repetitive humdrum like most games. Also amazing because you don’t have to physically be playing on your phone to be playing the game.”
The game is broken down into segments where you interact with the character. (See below where I mention pauses and notifications.)
The fact that you make decisions that change how the character navigates his or her life or death situation makes you feel as if you are a part of an actual real life situation and that the character is a real person contacting you for help, it definitely does not feel like you are just playing a game.
The pauses when the character is busy “doing something” are so suspenseful.
This game even notifies you so you can keep up as your day goes by or catch up later when you aren’t busy.
Making choices is really difficult at times.
Apparently you can go back and change your choices and see how things play out differently which I haven’t gotten to yet but will definitely do.
I will definitely be playing the other seven games in the series.
So glad buzzfeed named this game in its list of “games you hAve to play right now.”
I loved it 5/5
Don’t waste your money. This is terrible

This is an incredible game! The story and characters are engaging and interesting. It'll keep you occupied for a while!
I'd reccomend this game highly!
Superb Game 5/5
Lifeline is extraordinary.
I found myself thinking about Taylor's situation in the course of my day, just like I do with characters as I am reading an absorbing book.
In fact, Lifeline is so well done I had to resist putting the app on "Fast Mode". Instead I just let our protagonist get back to me whenever she/he could, in the app's normal approximation of time. I didn't want to just fly through the story.
That's right—there is not necessarily a "gender" indicated for Taylor. I wonder how many people even notice? What’s cool is I didn't even realize that particular detail, at first. My image of the character formed, naturally, from my own preconceptions, which I then had to examine. This subtlety is something I respect about Lifeline. It allows for interpretation, instead of spelling everything out.
The powers of the imagination, when paired with good writing, can travel great distances.
WORST APP EVER 1/5
Every time you interact with the story, you have to wait longer to have it read more. I would get it for a free app... but not for a paid app. COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY!!!

please update for persian language 😔
Unexpected death 5/5
When I was playing this and Taylor was in the control room at the peak, greeted with his controlled “friends”, I told him to stay calm and don’t look at their eyes. That was a mistake because I got messages indicating he had a heart attack. Then I had to start back from when he built the bootleg compass. Still, best game I’ve played in a while.
Lack of languages 3/5
Need more languages, like Spanish
No Ending 1/5
I paid for the story and received several other stories so I thought this was a real bargain. I tried writing a review but it said i had to purchase, which of course I have the receipt. The story was a bit lame at first but gets interesting near the end. It finally builds up to him living or dying then communication gets cut off and a notice says this was the end! I then open up the second part and he was already back home, no explanation what happen or how he got out. What a waste of time and money. Find a better app.
Loved it! 5/5
It was a great time spender and isn't very laggy at all and won't crash on you, I spend ours starring at my pone just wait omg for the real time responses to tell me if o does or not xD ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Best I can do so far 3/5
It keeps wanting a review even though I haven't finished the game, yet, so three stars is the best I can do.
This game had me tensed up and this game is awesome
By Natalie 200
Slow (reviewer busy) .......... REALLY slow. 2/5
Okay, I'm a VERY old school gamer, and when I read that this was a 'text adventure' game I got VERY excited, as I was hoping for something similar to what I'd played in my youth.
This is NOT that.
For all I know, the story may eventually become interesting. It's difficult to tell, because I've been playing it for two days and literally nothing has happened. The biggest problem is that Taylor, the character you're communicating with and directing, will actually give you maybe 5-10 lines of dialogue (mostly involving whining about his situation) and then.... go away. To walk, or eat, or whatever. And he will be gone for HOURS. So you wait, and go do other things in your life - except PLAY THE GAME YOU PAID FOR. Because until Taylor comes back, there's nothing you can do. Then he returns to give 5-10 more lines of whiny dialogue, and you will need to make a random decision that has no visible immediate outcome. Then Taylor goes away again for an hour or so. And you go do other things too.
To be honest, I wouldn't even classify this as a game. Its not engaging, and so far not even entertaining. Massively frustrating and dull is probably the best description I can give. I do not recommend.
While not exactly what you'd think of as a typical choose-your-own adventure (it seems they force you down certain paths), the amount of routes you can take and the compelling story itself make you keep playing the game and get you invested in it. Definitely worth the money!
