“[A] surprising iPhone and Apple Watch bestseller is pushing the boundaries of fiction” - boingboing.net “This is the best game on the Apple Watch” - Time.com Lifeline is a playable, branching story of survival against all odds. Using your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch, you will help Taylor make life or death decisions, and face the consequences together. Acclaimed writer Dave Justus (Fables: The Wolf Among Us) weaves a gripping interactive story through the aftermath of a crash landing on an alien moon. Taylor is stranded, the rest of the crew are dead or missing, and Taylor’s communicator can only reach you. A totally unique experience enabled by modern devices, this story plays out in real time. As Taylor works to stay alive, notifications deliver new messages throughout your day. Keep up as they come in, or catch up later when you’re free. You can even respond to Taylor directly from your Apple Watch or your iPhone lock screen, without launching into the app. Or, dive in and jump back to earlier points in the story, and see what happens when you make a different choice. Simple actions can have a profound effect. Complete any single path to restart the story and unlock this mode. Lifeline is a deep, immersive story of survival and perseverance, with many possible outcomes. Taylor is relying on YOU. NEW in version 1.8: Stick around after the game for a special story epilogue from Dave Justus. For players who have already finished the game, the Sneak Peek becomes available under the game options. • Amazing, but 4/5

    By Tonijomeow
This book is so amazing & definitely worth the money. But I just wish I was told what order the books/games go in. Because I basically have to guess. And I think I accidentally skipped some but I have no way of knowing. Ugh
  • Absolutely amazing! 5/5

  • Ehhh 3/5

    By RhinoRhino65546764456776
To start off I eant to say that I only got about 5 min in. I love the idea and the story but i hate the pace. Its good if you are a super bussy person who can only take a max of 3 min out of your day to play a game, but if your impacient like me and want to play at your own pace its not for you. Like I said I like the idea and story but not the pace... Just not for me.
  • Sooooooo fun 5/5

    By N/8
It's fun to see the notification on your watch and be able to communicate with a science student lost on a desert planet (hopefully like tatooine) I love this game and play it every day ~Jim
  • Annoying as hell 1/5

    By Ytrx13
It's a great game, if you enjoy talking with a someone who constantly complains about everything to you. I actually wish I knew which path killed her the quickest just so I could rid this game's fictional universe of a unless and intellectually void individual.
  • Total Crap 1/5

    By I'mGoodNow
Game was written by a child. Weak story, weak writing and a complete waste of time.
  • It's so well done !! 5/5

It's an amazing story and it's so great. The timeline and the story is great. The emotions and details are amazing. I would totally recommend to very imaginative readers !

  • It's not a good dame. Save your money. 1/5

    By Milo Garcia
The concept sounds fun, but it is not. It's frustrating and slow to play. Do not buy this game. Save yourself the money.
  • Fantastic little distraction 5/5

    By LunaKatt
I've now played 2 of the Lifeline games and I have to say how fantastic they are. I love being able to play on my Apple Watch. Keep up the good work. My only comment is that I wish there was a sound or tap to tell you that Taylor was waiting, but whatever. Love the game.
  • Beautifully written 5/5

    By Madisen D
This is most definitely worth the 2 dollars. So far I've only played it through once, but I 100% plan on going back to it. An amazing game for anyone.
  • Fun game, but not without issues 4/5

    By FoxShepard
This is a fun game, though a couple of issues keep me from giving it 5 stars. The first is the writing. The writer is trying way too hard to be cute and clever, in my opinion. Every other piece of dialogue doesn't have to be "funny" or clever. Nobody would talk like that constantly in real life, and it kind of took me out of the story. The other thing is that as the game went along, I felt like the choices I was being asked to make weren't having much of an impact on the story. I don't know if that's because the "correct" choice was too evident, or what, but I felt the decisions I was being asked to make weren't as interesting as in the beginning of the game. Having said all that, I did enjoy the game, though, and look forward to trying the sequel(s).
  • Excite our ears! 2/5

    By SNLife
The idea behind lifeline games are very intriguing. Although playing through this one (my first), I find myself somewhat disappointed and almost bored by how plain the game is. You only have two answers to choose from, some of which I I don't even want to ask with the responses given. I know each response requires a different rabbit trail of answers. Text only communication is a boring aspect. Let character come alive through voice comm. static at times hard to understand voice. Let us glimpse some background sounds into the situation. Correct answers lead to rewards/survival items. More calculated problems. I liked the radiation level question. Give us wrong answers, maybe the character gets injured as a result of bad guidance. Anything worth doing is worth doing well. Don't just leave this opportunity in the wind or I might have to start my own version.

  • Interactive storytelling at its BEST 5/5

    By Kouyukki
This story is incredibly engaging. Lots of personality and the mystery of it really hooked me in. There is enough variation in the story that makes you really want to replay to get all the endings. Can't wait to play everything else that 3MinuteGames has put out, I'm a fan for life.
  • Awesome 5/5

This game is amazing. I love games were you get to choose what happens. It's like you can create the game.
  • Fantastic 5/5

    By Djdjddjdnd
A great change of pace from the typical mobile game experience. An interactive storytelling experience not quite like any I've played/read before. I've never bonded with a character in media like this before now, and I'm excited to start the rest of the series.
  • Cool. 5/5

  • I'm probably too involved in this game 5/5

    By Mira5742
I started playing this game as an assignment for a game development class. The requirement was to play it for an hour and write about gameplay and other dev stuff. I haven't put this down for three days, when I downloaded it three days ago. I love that Taylor, the main character, is so relatable. I actually get more excited for notifications from the game than I do text messages. So far my report and studying has gotten a little...less worked on...but it's totally worth it. I could not recommend this game enough.

no graphics, limited options, moderately entertaining story, but at least music was creepy?
  • You're Making ME wait???? 1/5

    By ZickZamZoomer73
Uhhh ... yeah, so, I'm the owner of my phone. I make all the decisions regarding my phone, including when I want to play a game & when I don't. This game looked good, so I PAID FOR IT. Got it downloaded & sat down to play it. At first, when I realized it was "text-based," in other words - just a story, I was a little skeptical. But, I had just bought it & figured I'd give it a chance. As I read, I slowly got a little more into it, and was literally just coming around to the idea of not deleting the game ... just starting to think "heh ... this isn't so bad afterall!" - when the game just stopped!!! No, it didn't stop working, but - honestly - I thought it had. I had just made one of my first few decisions, and it STOPPED!! It said [Taylor Busy], but - initially- I thought it would just say that while it input my decision. I kept waiting & nothing happened. I quickly realized that it was literally going to make me wait, but I was sure that was just a setting that I could change. I figured it was a setting for people who played the game at work, and who wanted it that way. I never once thought that this "waiting" would be mandatory. I swear to you ... I kept looking for a setting to change it, but couldn't find one. Even so, I STILL COULDN'T BELIEVE that they would sell this game to people & then FORCE THEM TO WAIT, without giving them, THE PEOPLE WHO BOUGHT & PAID FOR THIS GAME, a way to speed up and change the timing. Yes, I immediately understood the gimmick ... yes, I get it ... maybe some people would find it more realistic... like they're really communicating with someone ... I also immediately understood that I DID NOT CARE ABOUT THAT. I wanted to play it at MY PACE!!! It's INSANE!! I was literally just starting to find this game interesting, when I came to realize that these idiots really did expect me to wait. To play according to their timing. I WANTED TO KEEP PLAYING, BUT I COULDNT, BECAUSE THE GAME WOULDN'T LET ME!!! So, i went to sleep, and then 3 hours later, in the middle of the night, my phone started beeping with notifications. Yep ... now, in the middle of the #%# #%### NIGHT I could play!!! Couldn't play when I wanted!!! But now, in the middle of the mother f'ing night, now I can play??? THIS IS MY PHONE. I MAKE ALL OF THE DECISIONS ON MY PHONE. I Decide what games to play & when to play them. And if I buy a game, paid for with my money, and the designer thinks he gets to decide when I play ... well, he can $#ck on my #%ck!! GAME DELETED!!!! I will NEVER BUY another one of these Lifeline games, ever again!! As far as I'm concerned, they owe me my money back!! Thieves!!!
  • Great choose your own adventure game 4/5

    By Andreo8887
I really liked the story and flow of the game. I've always loved choose your own adventures and this was very much like it. It felt like reading a book, but more real life when it came to waiting for the character to finish his tasks. Cool aspect to the game. The only reason I gave it a 4 star instead of a 5 star is because of all the language. I don't personally like that much language, but it's tolerable. I would just like it to be more family friendly. This could reach more audiences "kids" if it had less profanity. Still cool game, loved it.
  • Like it 4/5

I like the game but I wish there more description.
  • Fun game...annoying when you're done 4/5

    By psulli9
Really enjoyed the game, but the continuing notifications after finishing the game is almost enough to turn me off getting the others. Figure out a way to turn them off going forward.
  • Awesome Sauce 5/5

    By Gohizzle
Spectacular game. It took me a couple tries but I finally made it to the conclusion. A very good one at that. I'm sure there are multiple endings based on all the choices. Super great time playing as well as a great story. Pick this up now!
  • Great game!!! 5/5

    By Big*bammer
I have 5 of the games in the series and I have to say my favorite so far is , infinity the reason being is because you are indoors. And because it's indoors you have limited places to go. So you can imagine it with more detail. When the games are outdoors it is hard to imagine because it is hard to imagine landscape. And, if the games are outdoors most people imagine plain flat land and maybe a mountain or two When you ask them to choose to go to usually a mountain or a human made structure. Another reason I like infinity is because you really get attached to the character Taylor. He is a great protagonist and even a great friend I must admit he even got me emotional at one point. (Not in a crying sense.) but I've finished that game. I really hope this helps you pick a game out of all of the many many lifeline games.

  • Amazing 5/5

    By Crnchy Yoyo
This game is great. The story is incredibly engaging and I love how every little decision affects the outcome in a way, however small. If you are looking at the reviews to deduce whether you should pay $0.99 for this game, the answer is definitely (everyone is entitled to their personal opinion).
  • Pros & Cons 4/5

    By The Slow Gamer
So here's the deal: this game is really quite amazing, but only if you have the patience to wait for each new sequence. The game is developed in a way where the character is reacting to each situation in real time. So if the character (in this case Taylor) says she is going to take a few hours to hike to a location, then it will take a few hours. However, it's nice that your decisions can dictate what she does, and in that way you can change how things continue (or don't). So here are some pros and cons to this game: Pros - There is not much of a visual representation when it comes to this game, and that leaves a lot of room for each player to create the terrain and Taylor's features in their own mind, thus making the game more personal. - There is a lot of mystery in this game surrounding the full storyline, and I think that pushes each player to continue in order to find out what happened before we meet Taylor, as well as what happens to her in the long run. Cons - Like I said, this game happens in real time. It is not a fast paced game, so I don't recommend it to children (or adults) who need the fast pacing in order to keep them interested. Play this only if you're willing to be patient for each new segment. - Notifications are kind of weird when it comes to this game. Rather than notifying you when Taylor is replying after a period of time, she just continues the conversation, regardless of whether or not you are ready to reply. In this case I recommend that the developers find some way to give out a notification that Taylor is back, without continuing the story. That way the player doesn't need to scroll back up to where they left off just to read the text and catch up. In the end, I think this is a wonderful game, and I really enjoy the story line (or story lines) that make up the base of the game. Since it's in real time, I think it gives us a sense of real-ness to Taylor, and I think that factor helps in each player's desire to have her survive at the end of this. If the developers do another game with this same concept, I would be happy to play it.

As I've been hooked to the game for the duration of the gameplay, I have just finished it and it's left me with a hollow indentation that the anticipation for this game was able to fill. I highly, highly recommend this game. Yes, it's a little slow but it's part of the genius storyline and I was hooked immediately.

I love the lifeline series. So much. But nothing can top the first game, really. Taylor will always be my favorite- the story is so cool and really caught me by surprise at points, and despite how much I probably hated it at the time by how worried I was over Taylor, I love the fact that it takes time. Just... probably my favorite choice game ever.
