    Just being aware of your input and output then seeing results works for my pragmatic mind. Small food choices can lead to big changes.. MGD 64 with a lime, no more IPA's, a cheese burger and fries is 45 mins on the Peloton.

    I used to love the app and it has helped me track my calories and lose weight in the past. I haven’t been that active on the app in the past 2 years however I am now on a diet and have started using the app daily again. As I write this review I have just turned my phone horizontal to type more efficiently. To my surprise and dismay the app does not support the horizontal view. Ironically the weekly report that is emailed to me must be turned horizontal in my email app to read it properly due to the wraparound of text in the vertical position. The real annoyance is the all the adds and the constant request to upgrade. I would consider paying a one time cost to upgrade however I would never pay a monthly subscription. For a monthly subscription I would expect a much better list of restaurant foods. Since chain restaurants are required by law to provide nutrition information Lose it should have them all in their database. A google search provides me the dietary info I am looking for, and most of the time I find them in another app like live well or map my fitness. Lose seems to have many chain restaurants that are not even in my state of Illinois, and they are the same chains that have always been there. In the past 8 years none of my Chicago restaurants have ever been added an over the past 8 years many of these local chains have become national. Bottom line I have more adds but not more food data. It does not appear that any of the subscription money is going to enhancing the application. Most likely I will not receive a reply and in that case I will look for a better app. Over the past 8 years I am sure there are better apps out there. Please don’t barrage me with upgrade messages until you upgrade the app with features that will truly improve it.

    I’ve been a longtime user of MFP, but recent app crash issues had me looking elsewhere. I like LoseIt well enough for food tracking. It’s quick and easy, the database is robust, and the barcode scanner works well. It’s a little annoying there isn’t a multiadd feature like MFP, but even without that I prefer this for food tracking. Exercise tracking is a joke. I use a Garmin with HRM and my calorie burn totals are often dramatically different than the database, with no way to edit it. Today I logged my 79 minute hike as a 45 minute hike to get the calories correct. It knows my weight but it has no idea of my fitness level, and if I’d just plugged in my time I’d be grossly overeating calories. Unless Garmin becomes an option to sync I wouldn’t consider premium.

    Down 11-1/2 lbs in 16 weeks of recording every meal and snack. Easy to do with your saved foods and meals. Watching daily nutrients is awesome. I can make choices based on what I need to balance by fats, carbs, and protein. Watching calories turned out to mean when I thought I was "dieting" and eating healthy, it actually turned out to be unhealthy as my calories per day were way too low--well under 1200/day. Now I am eating balanced nutrients and eating a proper amount to lose and not store weight. Worth every second of recording.

    Lose It is my best friend. I have always had trouble when it came to losing a few pounds because I have never been more than 20 pounds over weight. Those pounds stuck like glue because I could get them off but NEVER keep them off. I was on a “dieting yo-yo.” This app is keeping me on track. It’s is easy, convenient and working. I have never seen anything like it. I worked for a famous event weight loss program that still advertises on TV. In my opinion, “Lose It” is superior. Lynda Patten

    I am pushing 72 and have been listed as 'obese' on my medical files ever since menopause. Picked up an extra 35 lbs that I really didn't need!!! I was always at 125-130 from my college days through two pregnancies/ children plus!!! To boot, I am only 5 foot 'and change'. So that hasn't helped. UNTIL I STARTED USING LOSE IT TO TRACK EVERYTHING I ATE (and wearing my GearFit daily), I had no idea how much I was overeating and how little exercise I wasn't getting to burn off the calories!!! Calories in vs calories out = a slow weight loss!!! Took me a while to see a change downward in the scale, but it's working, TKX to LoseIt and wearing my GearFit!!! The combo is working for me-- nice and slow! Down 13 lbs as of this morning!!! Hooray for me!! Encouraged that I am on the right path to keep the scale's needle going down!!! TY, LoseIt!!! I highly recommend it for all ages!!! AND I love the feature that I can enter my own recipes and find the calorie content of a serving! THAT has REALLY helped!!! Try it, you'll like it!!!

    2017 Review- So I’ve been using this app since right before I became pregnant 7 years ago! Haha! Perfect time to log my food then. My weight has been a roller coaster of a ride after that but I never wavered from using this app. All these years it’s helped me to catch myself and remain consistent! It’s grown with my needs and customer service is spot on. This is my favorite and most used app on here and I love it! Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️ 2010 Review... I've been looking for an app just like this!!! I love it!!!! I just took before pics,went running, and made a healthy lunch!! I logged it, and it's soooo simple! The only thing I would like to do is when I add new food( Gardenburger Brand is not listed) I would like to be able to add fat, carbs, and protein. That is it. I'm very excited bout this, and it's FREE! Thank you!!!!

    Lose It! is better, easier and cheaper than WW. I've used it for over a year and lost 30 pounds---slow but steady. I like that it counts calories, not points, giving me food freedom. The analysis of nutrients helps me make changes in my diet on my terms.

    This measures everything you need to measure. It also ties in very well with the fit bit, never had a problem. This is a great program even if you’re not trying to lose weight just wanna maintain your nutrition goals.

    I am really enjoying this app. I started working out and eating healthy 5 months ago. This app is a great tool to keep me on track. It is fairly easy to learn to use. To date I have lost 44 pounds the old fashioned way - diet and exercise. It is hard work but this app is such a huge help.

    I have used this app online and on my phone since 2013. It has been enormously helpful in managing my weight and exercise habits. Over time it is great to be able to see patterns of eating and exercise and how they have an effect upon my weight. Have lost about 25 lbs and am maintaining within a few lbs of my goal using the free version of “Lose It”.

    In four weeks, I lost 7 pounds. I love this app! Not only does it show you a pie chart for fat/carb/protein intake, it shows you the calorie intake you each meal (just a suggestion). Depending on how many you use per meal (over or under) it will determine how many you have for the rest of the day (ie. dinner). I find this to be extremely successful.

    Have been using the app for 2 weeks. Logging all the food is really simple with using the scanner. After the food had been entered really simple to add too with only a few clicks. I like the reminders helps to keep me tracking. Logging exercises are simple as well.

    This app helped me learn what foods were giving me all my calories. With that info, and tracking my food every day, I have lost 67 pounds in 142 days. I am happy with LoseIt. I feel so much better. Starting weight was 246. Weight this morning was 179. I haven’t been this weight in 25 years.

    Ive lost weight using this app more than once. It’s easy to use and the interface seamless and attractive. The little icons make it easy to find your foods. The nutrition chart makes it easy see your percentage fat, carbs and protein. Well with the annual fee.

    From what I’ve seen of similar apps I like Lose It because of the conversions. Tracking calories can be tedious and frustrating and when a nutrition label gives you grams when the easiest way to measure a serving is cups it’s nice that Lose It will automatically pull up the conversion for you.

    I lost 3 pounds per week for 9 consecutive weeks for 27 pounds! It is truly an amazing App! I started WE23MAR11 at 208 pounds and now over 4 years later, I am still 30+ pounds lighter. I also track nutrients and try to maintain my daily saturated fat below 10g, sodium below 1.5g, fiber above 50g, sugar below 100g, and protein at about 70g. Hopefully calcium, potassium, and magnesium tracking will be added as well. The App allows one to copy and then edit previous meals which helps a lot. It just needs to allow one to do the same with exercise since exercise routines, like meals, are often repeated. I give this free App an A rating and promote it on my wpn4life.com site. My suggestions about calcium, potassium, and magnesium tacking as well as copying prior workout routines continue to be ignored for years. In this respect, those charged with maintaining this App are lacking and therefore not meritorious of an "A plus" rating.

    Lose It! Has helped me become more cognizant of what I consume and incentivizes me to exercise more. From the nutritional breakdown of your foods to the friendly (yet not overbearing) notifications it's very helpful to those who are trying to change their lifestyle. It's not just for weight loss, though. With premium you are able to add nutrition goals (like high protein if you're trying to build, etc). Also, it's visually pleasing and makes it easier to digest the info.
