    I love this app. It is easy to use and I have found almost all of my foods very easy. I wish the free version included more exercises to choose from. I have lost weight while quitting smoking on this app before and now using it again to shed ten pounds and it's really working just by watching my food on this app!

    I am approaching another age decade marker and didn't want to enter my 70's weighing 20+ more pounds than I weighed in high school. My daughter encouraged me to try the Lose It! app which she has successfully used. Five months later, I've reached my goal and more, and I have maintained it, even after being on two vacations and eating many meals in restaurants!! I upgraded to Premium but really haven't used all of it’s many benefits, but I hope to! Tracking the calories that I was consuming each day made a BIG difference, plus being committed to regular exercising, which I now look forward to!! I have had to purchase new clothes (two sizes smaller), so maintenance is a must! Continuing to use this app will make it much easier!

    So many great settings and features-even on the free version- being able to track your progress and visually see how many calories you're consuming makes all the difference. Lose it! Also gives you little badges for achievements so it almost feels like a fun game. This app has been key to my weight loss.

    Lose it keeps me mindful. Lose it keeps me honest lose it keeps me focused. It used to be about the scale. Now it’s about what I’m eating and how much I’m moving. Can I eat less calories? How about less fat? I hadn’t gotten on the scale in weeks. But I did today and was surprised to find a 3 1/2 lbs.loss. I’ve been using Lose It for years. My weight loss has been slow.     I lost 20 lbs because this app makes it so easy to log food. Syncing with my Fitbit balances my steps & exercise with my food intake so my macros come out right. It helps me eat just the exact amount needed to lose weight daily. All this app needs to be perfect is a way to log recipes created. Highly recommended.

    My goal is 2 lbs a week, I'm down 5 in a little over a week. I can easily track my elaborate meals using the "Recipes" function and scanning in my ingredients. The daily nutrients tracking is helping me track my macros, which is really teaching me to balance my meals and day. Updated this review to drop in rank. There’s a lot of in-app notifications and pop-ups now meant to encourage you to keep logging. It’s annoying. Logging is already an inconvenience; it’s more annoying with the app congratulating me every single time.

    It has helped me reach my and my doctor’s goals. I lost 15 pounds. I’m now using it for maintaining my weight. Keeps record of your foods so it is easy to add them again. The scan feature is great. I would have paid something for it. It is a treat that it is free. Thanks a lot.

    This app used to be the best meal-logging app out there. Now the UI is cluttered and confusing, and littered with prominent advertisements for their subscription service. I'm not paying $4 a month to use the app. I'd pay even $20 to turn off ads and access all features, but a subscription is absurd.

    I have to say I highly recommended app called Lose it it’s free and you want to up grade it you can. It’s all about getting healthy and eating right for you so it happens. By writing it down you see what you are putting in your body, you start to control what you’re eating and the results of Losing weights happens for you. It’s great I have lose weight!!! So can you try it for free!!

    Lose It is great for newbie dieters. But for something that costs $40/year, I wish it would allow us to set custom calorie goals for each specific day. I like to eat 500 calories on MWF and freely (up to 2000) on STTS. Also don’t like that I can’t start my week on Sunday. Overall, I won’t be renewing my premium membership. Such a shame because I love their community aspect (challenges) and the cute space theme.

    Finding the exact foods I'm eating makes it easy to track every bite I take so I'm more aware of what I'm really eating I've lost 20 lbs so far only have a few more to go and I'm eating carefully but not depriving my self of any food group just limiting my calories I feel freedom eating and enjoy healthy food

However once I started using Lose It, I have finally been able to stick with healthy eating and successful recording of what I eat. It is so easy to do and keeps me accountable.     Hate that new update means food searches are now difficult. Oct 2017 ----------- I've been using this app on and for a few years. I love that my entire history is there. My favorite aspect of the app is that I can enter store brand foods, name brand foods, restaurant menu items, or whatever else with ease. I spend under a minute entering a meal and I can easily see how I'm doing on protein, carbs and fat not just for that day but for my history as well. There are far fewer exercises available to select, so I don't use it as a workout tracker, and I'd really rather see my consumption without calories subtracted anyway (a feature you cannot turn off) since the latter can be so error prone. Since I don't want workout calories subtracted, the limited set of exercises available in the app doesn't hinder me. The ads have gotten more annoying over time, and the pay option is a monthly subscription which means the cost of removing ads is much higher than for other apps. Still, I'm willing to get the ads for the value the app offers.

    I have always had a hard time with accountability and motivation when it comes to weight loss. I want the weight gone but it's been hard to follow through with a plan. This app has helped me consistently stay accountable and motivated. Keeping track of what I'm putting into my body has really made me rethink my food decisions and I have made healthier choices. I'm not really into exercising and so I just only really use this app and I am getting great results! I love that after you are done logging for the day, that you get an estimated date of when you should reach your goal by. It keeps me motivated to stay disciplined!

    One of my biggest struggles was overeating, and with this app I was able to be more mindful of what I was eating. I've stopped snacking through the day and am aware of everything I eat. I've even stopped drinking soda for the most part because it feels like wasted calories!

We are both in our early fifties and also want to make sure we have a healthy lifestyle as we approach our retirement years. Lose it makes it easy to track our calorie intake and our progress towards our goal. We have not upgraded yet but are considering it. I recommend the app to anyone as part of their toolkit to a healthier life.

    I have used this app to lose weight and eat healthy. It simply works. I also learn how to maintain my weight. You naturally begin to make better choices as you log and then see the results. Each day it tells me I will reach my goal and lists the date. This helps to keep me motivated. It's easy to lose weight and it encourages exercise too! Everyone who I know who truly used this app lost weight. I highly recommend it

    I got this app kinda on a whim after seeing it mentioned in a Reddit thread. I’ve always been overweight/obese and at my heaviest was 265lbs. After discovering exercise in high school I managed to whittle my weight down to 185lbs. However exercise is only one part of weight loss/a healthy life style. I never learned how to count calories, estimate how many calories were in food, or even how to tell how MUCH food to eat! So slowly I gained weight back until I was about 220lbs and knowing how small I had been I was very depressed. Getting this app (the free version) and actually staying true to logging calories, and I mean EVERYTHING you eat, has helped me lose 15lbs in two and a half weeks alone. I can’t wait to see how much further I can go. To be successful with this app though, you can lie to yourself. Don’t fake the numbers or omit things from your log just to make it look better, you’re the only one who suffers by doing that. Log everything and learn what it is to eat a healthy amount of food each day and you’ll lose weight in no time.

    I wasn't sure what to expect when I first started using the app, but I'm about 8 weeks in and I really feel like it has helped me. I'm not a big fan of calorie counting but I must say that it has helped me; it keeps me accountable to what I eat. I use one of the exercise apps that download to the app and I like that too.

    Look I want to log Calories and exercise. This app interface looks like they tried to toss in everything. It is great for logging calories but the other features are useless and confusing. Also why am I going to pay 3.00 a month just sell the full app.

    Love the bar code feature to log food. I've tried logging my food in a journal but you don't have much of a handle on calories and portion sizes. I've lost 10 pounds on my way to losing 50 more.

    When I first switched to lose it, it was because I had friends using the app over myfitnesspal. So I was extremely disappointed when the app didn’t allow you insight to all your macros etc. without going premium the way myfitnesspal does. I bit the bullet and got premium and now track my calories, steps, exercises etc with lose it and my Fitbit synced to it. I have gotten used to all the features and I do enjoy the overall calories under or over for the week report because staying true to your goal is easier to do when you see how one stupid meal can keep you from that 1lb for the week. I wish there were more customizable features however for people who do intermittent fasting, as I go between my calorie budget of like 1700 and 500 every other day. So it’d be nice to customize weeks a little better. Overall the app does its job. I like the graphs, and insights and the community challenges and badges—I’m very competitive. So yea, thanks Lose It for helping me get closer to my goal.

    It has every food I've ever looked for in it's database. Also I enjoy the weight loss challenges with other users. I don't have the premium version, but I feel like the basic version has everything I need. I previously used My Fitness Pal and I prefer this app. I've lost 30 lbs so far!
