I love this app! It reminds me if I haven't logged yet in the day, and logging is what promotes success. It congratulates me when I've reached a goal, motivating me to continue. I have only the basic plan. I thin upgrading would give me even more advantages, but I'm not ready to spend extra $$ right now.

I have the Premium version. I love the graphs, themes and user friendliness of this app. It has had every single food item already in the database that I've ever entered. However, unless I just don't know where to look, it only calculates Total Carbs and not Net Carbs. I'm on a keto diet and counting Net Carbs is critical to my success. At this point, I'm having to remember from meal to meal my Net Carb calculations. Other than that...it's perfect. DEVELOPERS: will you please include Net Carbs in the next version?? Or tell me where I can find it in this version? Thanks a million!

It's easy to keep track of what I'm eating- how many calories and how it really effects my weight. The exercise updates with calorie credits help. It is an eye opener on what I'm eating how many calories I need to maintain and to loose weight, and how I can change what I'm doing for success. Lose It has been a great help!

I've lose 7 pounds so far with this app and can definitely say it's been a huge help if you stay consistent and motivated. I'd also highly recommend buying a small scale to weigh your food for best accuracy. Figure out a way to keep yourself accountable with logging though, other one missed meal will turn into a missed day and before you know it you're drinking 500 calorie frappes. I've been able to eat pretty much whatever I want in small quantities and stay under my goal caloric consumption.

I tell myself I'm eating good portion sizes, but definitely wasn't holding myself accountable for the Calories I was eating. I'm in really good shape (run 8 min mile), but can't break 173lbs (I need to weigh about 150lbs). I've only been using this app about 1 1/2 weeks, but see a CONSISTENT drop in weight every few days!
Love that this keeps me accountable and makes it super easy! Green is good, Red is bad... simple!
Lost 40 and still going 5/5
I have currently have lost 40 pounds. While not easy, Lose It gave me the discipline to keep going. 25 more pounds to go. That's my goal. Using Lose It, I know I'll make it. I have had to be honest and enter the food that I ate, not food I would like to think I ate. When I've done that and followed Lose It's calorie recommendation, I lose the weight. When I don't, I gain weight. Lose It provides the needed discipline. It so simple. Be honest with self and use Lose It.
Very convenient and easy to use. List of scannable items has increased since I last used it.

This is a great system for tracking calories. It's not 100% accurate on protein counts but definitely has tons of preprogrammed foods and easy interface. It's helped me lose about 25 lbs. and gain muscle. Very grateful!

Great app, but if a few features were updated it would be awesome.
If you create a recipe, you can't go back and see what was in it or add to it. Calories are on the lower burned side. Sodium is not accounted for in stats which would really help people see how much they consume. Other than that it's great!

This app can change your life. Use it everyday and track your food intake accurately, and you will loose weight. The bad news is when you stop using it, you will gain weight.

I love it. It's amazing for weight loss. I just started it couple days ago. Maybe could add more exercises. Like typical day things. Painting for example, maybe like daycare I know that's a job but dealing with kids burns allots of calories. And the step thing is a little off I believe. I'm waiting on my Fitbit to get here to link it up but loving it so far

I love this app! I thought I would not get successful results, but I am happily surprised. Logging my food has made me more cognizant about what and when I put foods into my organism, and the consequences either good or bad. It has actually become a fun and slowly slightly addictive activity for me, but in a good way. Also, my husband got into it...and we are now both losing weight together, feeling healthier, and happier as a result. Awesome!

I have family who have had great success using Losit. Now I see why! Just using it keeps me on top of what and how much I put in my body. Makes a huge difference in the decision making process. I signed up for premium last month and am down 13 lbs in the last 4 weeks!

i hate this app. i got the premium and it said $3 something a month and i bought it. turns out it took out the annual amount off of my bill. i am really budgeting right now and that money was supposed to go towards my mental health stuff. i hate this app and now i lost 40 dollars.

8-15-17 update: the latest update a few months ago has a VERY annoying pop-up window almost every time I go into the app begging me to upgrade to the paid version. I have been very happy for years with USING the app but now I'm considering switching to a different app to get away from being asked to pay every single day!
My son showed me this app a couple of years ago and it has been instrumental in helping me gradually lose weight. Sometimes I log after I've eaten and regretted my food choices. But it helps me to make better choices later. Sometimes I get motivated & plan ahead which is even better. I love being able to enter my own recipes & also the fairly lg selection of restaurants to choose items from. Many months I participate in a challenge of some kind & it helps keep me logging each day. I am slowly changing how I eat and exercise so its a change if lifestyle. I do more activities such as mowing just so I can get the exercise calories. For those who like lists & seeing progress plotted out this is a very helpful app. I've lost 20 lbs in 2 yrs. it's been very gradual but I'm hoping that changing how I live will help me to keep it off.
After reading some reviews on the update I'll try to remember not to update it so I can keep my library of foods.

I know loosing weight is hard and people have a very difficult time doing it, often resulting in dangerous surgery. And that was my option before trying Lose It. It's super easy to use and it really all I've had to do. I didn't change what I ate, just how much. I didn't even start exercising at first and lost 40 pounds before starting mild exercises. I've lost 63 pounds so far and it keeps working week after week. I didn't realize a tool like this existed but it was exactly the tool I needed and I'm thrill to have found it.

Pros- I've had LoseIt! for about 2 1/2 months and have lost almost 20 pounds. The food input is very intuitive - takes seconds once the app remembers your common foods. The open source platform doesn't miss anything on food info and variety. The paid version gives you valuable recipes, reporting and nutritional breakdowns. It also ties into my FitBit to pick up all my activities. It does require a commitment to stay with it but it's super easy and the results will keep you connected.
Cons- the calories burned from Fitbit and then deducted from my daily goal are seriously off. In some cases I'll have a negative calorie day and don't lose weight. I would recommend NOT connecting FitBit to your daily calorie count. Also open source platform has its drawbacks. You get many different versions of food calorie counts - some that are way off. Sometimes it's best to independently do your homework on calories.

I was getting picked on constantly at school, I want able to do the things my friends could do, I felt embarrassed to change in the locker room, and couldn't talk to a girl to save my life. I had no interest in losing weight cause I was lazy, I'd rather sit around and eat cookies. One day I stumbled upon this app and said screw it. I logged my regular eating habits for a couple days with the app and realized I had to change or I was gonna grow up to have major health problems. This app helped me lose weight at a steady pase for 6-7 months. In this time frame I lost 40lbs. I was given a timeframe for my goal and was encouraged to stay on my goal. It was a great experience and made losing weight easier. I was now aware food was fuel for you body and not something that has to be full of sugar all the time. If anyone is on edge about if this app download it. It truly changed my life. I am able to do all the things I couldn't do and makes like a thousand time easier. I know it may seem hard but trust me it is worth it. Don't give up!

This is an outstanding app. The library of foods is outstanding. The only critique would be that many items don't offer a per ounce calorie count. Just so many calories per serving without describing what a serving is.
Other than that, I'm totally satisfied with the app and will recommend it to family and friends.

I've used MyFitnessPal and LoseIt! MyFitnessPal worked well. But I wanted to shake things up so I switched to this app. Less than 4 months later, I have lost 38 pounds tracking my diet with this app.
The bar code entry works great and the food database is excellent. I plan on using this app every day to log my food until I reach my weight loss goal and after that to maintain my weight.
I decided to become a premium member - mostly to get rid of the ads and to support future development of the app.

I had this app before but sadly never used it. Just recently I decided to download it and actually use it. I was not disappointed; it's been tough but with this app I can easily track down everything I eat and do. So far I've lost 7lbs within a few weeks( kinda been slacking) with that being said this app is very useful.

I am approaching another age decade marker and didn't want to enter my 70's weighing 20+ more pounds than I weighed in high school. My daughter encouraged me to try the Lose It! app which she has successfully used. Two months later, I've reached my goal and more, even after being on vacation and eating many meals in restaurants!! I recently upgraded to Premium but haven't used it's many benefits yet, but I will! Tracking the calories that I was actually consuming each day made a BIG difference, plus being committed to regular exercising!! I have purchased many new, smaller-sized clothes, so maintenance will be a must and continuing with this app will make it easy!
