My driver picked me up from the airport and spent 31 minutes driving in a complete circle looking for another fair. At this point I was going to be late for my meeting and just told him to cancel my ride since I was still at the airport where my ride started. He refused. Lyft charged me for the ride anyway and has failed to get back to me after four attempts. It's shady enough that their number goes to a machine that automatically hangs up after giving you the run around but it seems they don't answer emailed complaints either. The worst part is lyft themselves track drivers routes and show in my history this moron driving me in a circle for half an hour. Don't use this app. The drivers are as incompetent as customer service and management. Reported them to the BBB today.

I downloaded this app after I heard the news coverage of the "other " company internal culture and exploits.
I only have good things to say about this app.
Drivers are coming quicker, they gave me $20 coupon to use for 10 rides.
I left an item in one of the cars and they have been super helpful in checking with all the possible drivers.
They also have the option to schedule a drive ahead of time which is a big benefit that used to be only possible when you ordered a Taxi.

I have nothing but good things to say about the drivers. My only criticism is there app seems to get more and more unstable, crashes, and doesn't work on the Apple Watch anymore.
Uninstalling and reinstalling, rebooting the iPhone, and the watch, fix nothing. Their app is gotten more, not less bloated. Now, they have switched to Google maps, and the app is slower to load, even on my iPhone 7+. It's dubious whether they tested this app before they released it.
I hesitate to say this but if things don't improve soon I may give Uber another try, despite my aversion to their company.

Lyft is awesome ride!!! Found it very convenient and easy to register with them, We can get car within 10 min from my location. Get driver ranking and your request will be executed within sec for near by car. Prices also looks much lower with Ubers. My favorite rideshare app as both Rider & Driver . Interacting with wide diversity of folks on a everyday basis is just priceless! Support is always great, friendly & prompt. Lyft is very convenient rideshare application with nice peoples, too. Give it a shot!

Quick , convenient, reliable Lyft is really quick, reliable and convenient. Pick up is less than 5 mins most times, no need to carry cash, always get nice and clean car . Drivers are very professional.

The rates are reasonable, you can tip, even add multiple stops! Easy to use and user friendly app. Prices also looks much lower with others. Very good compatible with Iphone 6 and Iphone 7. Here is some improvements they can do it in future apps : 1) Getting driver pair to far where we already has available driver just beside us 2) Need apple map and apple watch support 3) Sometime location map does not display real time information 4) Sometime getting lots of notification where sometime not getting important notification.

I rode with both lyft and uber and find that lyft has a customer help where you actually can contact someone when you need to, and my last ride with uber was a bad experience because i was suffocating from the cigarette smoking inside the guy's car. Could not cancel it or they charge you anyway which lyft dont and when i needed to get another ride uber wanted to stick me with the same driver so i cancelled and went to lyft. Oh lyft is cheaper then uber too. Last time uber.

The crazy part about this is that the lyft driver car was disrespectful and their car was dirty. Plus it had all types of bugs crawling( ants, spiders, etc).

The app is easy to use and the system has been hassle-free so far. You can see in the app how close your driver is and I like the no-money-exchange convenience. You tip afterward, in the app. Every time so far it's worked like a charm.

I really want to support lyft but it has a serious scam problem in sfo where scammers with banks of phones and accounts are instant accepting every airport ride requests in the cellphone lot and then subcontracts the rides to drivers who don't have the app, have no idea where the passenger is or where the passenger is going as input in the app and often is 10 times further than the sfo cellphone parking lot.

Each and every time I use lyft I am late 10-55 minutes. Deleting this waste of time and money application.
I was charged a cleaning fee and the driver stole my phone. I noticed when I walked inside I had left it on the seat and logged in to the app immediately from my computer to reach out to the driver as we were tracking my phone going down the street. Turned on find my iPhone and two weeks later it was turned on in Morocco.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Won't use this service again.
I contacted customer support and they did nothing about it. Told me it was my problem. So was charged 150 for cleaning... the driver tipped himself...and had to buy a new iPhone.
I took a cab from an airport to a car rental shop 7.1 miles away and was charged $25. I took a lyft a week later from the car rental shop to the airport and was charged $8.... it's a no brainer.
Uninstalling right now, the drivers (wasn't the first time) are really rude, they charge you in advance which I wouldn't mind if the driver ACTUALLY GETS THERE! This dumb person wasn't even near my location, I kept on calling him and he denied my calls for later cancel the ride, I got 40 min late to work thanks to this. I ended up installing Uber which it was way cheaper and got there in less than 5 min with a nice driver that made me laugh and forget about I was running late thanks to Lyft. Don't get late to work and call Uber.

I really like Lyft, except for one issue. More often than not, drivers stop on the wrong side of the road for pick-up, even on busy streets. Then expect me to do a suicide road cross and when I can't they cancel the trip or get cranky at me. I have mobility issues and can't walk fast, but even without those issues this is so dangerous and frustrating.

Notifications polluted with ads 1/5
This app uses notifications to sends its ads. 90%+ of the notifications are bothersome, irrelevant ads. And there is no way to turn these off. I only need notifications when my ride is on it's way. Respect your users. Don't bombard them with your self-serving agenda.

Normally I don't have a problem with Lyft but last night before I went to bed I set up a ride for the next day. I set for a driver to come at 7:30 because I have to be at work at 8 and it's my FIST DAY! I triple checked to make sure I had it set for the right time as being late to anything bothers me. As it approaches 7:30 I saw no one was on the way it said they someone would come around 7:45 which is pushing it for me but still no car was coming at 7:45 it was 7:50 and still nothing. So I had to cancel and get an Uber. I'm really upset because it's my first day of work and I'm super late. Decided to try again the next day and when I go to check the app my scheduled ride was cancelled. I'm done with Lyft.

This app and company are a joke. The prices are higher than an uber ride, often much more. They charge you a $1 holding fee periodically and randomly without informing you, and every single charge for a ride comes out of your account SEVERAL DAYS TO WEEKS after you take a ride. So I'm never sure if charges being taken out of my account are even legitimate. That is ridiculous and the main reason why I won't use this app/service anymore. On top of that they have zero customer support. And it takes twice as long if not more than that to actually get a ride, as there's a fraction of the amount of lyft drivers as there are uber drivers. And if you go out of town there is rarely any lyft driver available. Meanwhile there's always quite a few uber drivers around wherever I travel. For less. And I'll actually see the amount I was charged for my ride come out of my account as the ride ends with uber. With lyft it will randomly come out of my account two weeks later in the middle of the night. At this point they've more than eliminated themselves as competition for uber for me, the app has become a source of sheer aggravation only.
Can't use lyft app with mobile data 1/5
I can't use the Lyft app on my mobile data. For some reason it keeps showing the offline status. So, if I've booked a cab through wifi and then I leave the place to another destination, the app crashes when using mobile data and I can't see the location of my driver. I've tried uninstalling and redoing the same process again but to no avail. Please help me rectify this issue

I get it. You update regularly to fix defects and fine tune the app. Could you please give us something more than these generic App Store notes? It would be nice to know the details, no matter how small.

When I downloaded lyft I strongly believed that I was getting a plane ride but what I got was definitely more lackluster. I called in a lyft but when they picked me up they were in a Prius and I was very disappointed. So in my opinion a 2/10 for lyft is my strong opinion.

This app was good for the time being while I was on vacation in LA but the fact that I "SUPPOSEDLY ODERED" a high end car to pick me and my friends up from the E3 convention during the time to go from there to the Hotel took nearly two hours because we also had a bad driver and the total said 20$ I said to myself ok that's fine. But than I was charged 50-60$ for me and my friends. At the end of the day I was very mad that I was charged so much to travel so little. Therefore still to this day I'm waiting on my refund. Which I would get within the next 7 business day of June still haven't gotten a dime from you guys.
Advertises deals that don't exist 1/5
For the last two years I've received numerous notifications about deals, but when I open the app it says it doesn't exist. I contacted Lyft's customer support and all they told me was that another user might have once been logged into Lyft on my phone. And? That's not anywhere close to an excuse for your coders to not have figured this glitch out by now.

I booked a ride and the driver started the ride even though I was waiting outside for 10 minutes. When I cancelled the ride because the driver never showed up, I was charged $5 for fee cancellation. I contacted them from help by submitting a feedback and asking for money back. I didn't get back any call after they promised to call back. Their customer service can definitely be improved.

I love Lyft in general. But just had the unpleasant experience of having Line add a +20 minute detour towards the end of a long trip, making me problematically late for dinner. Would be better in such situations to be able to pay to convert to a regular Lyft instead of taking such a large hit to travel time :(
I downloaded the app because I'd like to use it internationally for an upcoming vacation. By trying to be prepared I now have 5 $5 credits that will expire before my vacation even starts and no way to reset it.

I love lyft, i use it all the time, but i really don't like this recent update and how it doesn't breakdown the costs of the ride. I use to be able to see how the price of the ride was calculated, by "cost per minute", "cost per mile", etc., but now the price is set before pickup and the prices are different from what I normally paid. My $13 lyft to work is now $15, and thats without surge costs. Granted, a $2 increase isnt life changing, but it is when you're a struggling college student. I would just like to see how the prices are calculated in accurate detail for every ride and not have the price calculated before the ride even begins.

I've used Lyft for a while until they hacked in my account and took rides that I didn't take. Then when I contacted customer support twice they did nothing about it! Then even after the last time they took one charge back and not the rest but make it out to be not their problem. If you want your money stolen, go ahead. These people are a joke.

The new update has algorithms that are absolutely not optimized for line/ride sharing. For the most part they take you far out of your way and create a lot of frustration for both passengers and drivers.

I've had very successful experiences with all Lyft drivers. In NYC, Dallas, Washington DC, Colorado, and Florida! Recommendation. For those who have no shows. Once the driver accepts the event, choose to CONTACT them, and then choose CALL. Talk to them to confirm the pickup.

Bad Driver and GPS 2/5
When I requested my first ride the ETA was about 15 minutes. The driver arrived about 5 minutes early and called me to tell me that he has arrived. I responded that he got here early and needed a couple minutes. He rudely responded that I had 30 seconds and drove off. I had a very similar incident with uber but that drive handle it extremely better. So I'm probably going to stick with Uber. Also if you live in KC and get a driver named Harold with a sliver Ford Flex I would decline it.

I've had such a bad experience with LYFT regarding my debit card being used without my permission and fraudulently. The fact that LYFT is so quick to allow any Lyft account to use any debit card is a bad sign already. The least Lyft could do is ask for some sort of verification code when a new card is being used on a new account. Lyft has been so quick to repeatedly charge random rides to my account but when I ask for information regarding who used my debit card all they can say is to resolve the issue on my own. Luckily my bank has been the one to give me my money back but these Lyft drivers are still getting paid and with no repercussions. I was late on paying my bills this month because I had to get a new card because of LYFT. I am better off struggling on the bus then having to worry about my debit card being used without my consent. The worst part is that LYFT has not taken any responsibility for what has happened. I am very disappointed in Lyft and the way customer service has handled my issues with my debit card. Will not be recommending this app to any one and I have asked to have my account deactivated as well. Lame.
