It's good, buuuuuut... 4/5
By Very happy, very ANNOYED dude
I love this app. I downloaded it today, and started playing it. I was instantly addicted to it and I've been playing for the past hour. My one and only problem is that after EVERY SINGLE SONG (I'm literally not even kidding) there is an ad. Want to listen to some smooth classical Tchaikovsky? Too bad. You get an ad👉🏻 and you get and ad👈🏻. EVERYBODY GETS AN AD
I love playing piano and I enjoy smule! 5/5
By unicorn lover 2009 ^~^!
I downloaded this game for more fun piano stuff and I love this game so much because it has all of my favorite songs I play on piano! I want to be a pianist when I grow up and this game is perfect for my piano tutorial! This game is amazing and I will play it forever. Hope everyone enjoys!^_^
FUN APP, BUT HAS ITS DOWNSIDE 3/5
In most cases, you have to play a song at least 2-3 times to get it to process.
Graphics display quality on each song page for pics you insert is very poor quality. Very low resolution.
Comment space on a song page is very limited.
After entering a comment on a page, you're required to complete an anti-spam question. Very annoying.
There is no phone support and email response is auto-generated the first time. When you write them a second time, you'll get a response, but it usually takes 7-10 days for them to reply.
The user interface on a users profile page (list of songs they've performed) is awkward and misleading. It's blank and you have to keep tapping the Magic Piano keyboard to display the song list. Very poorly designed.
Smule didn't used to be this way. They are gradually causing lots of unhappy campers in the Magic Piano app.
Amazing game, but... 4/5
I love this game, it has all my favorite songs and it makes me feel like a good piano player (which I am not). Only one complaint, ADS!!! After every song you play and after every transaction you make there is a video you are required to watch! So long story short if you are impatient this game is probably not for you.
Composer Incentive - Developer(s), please read. 3/5
I created a song (which has done very well, so far) thinking that when someone paid coins to play it, I would get a portion of those coins. Turns out this isn't the case. But why not? Why can't I get like 50% or AT LEAST 25% of the cost? It's not like it's real money so why be greedy? Lol. I just think that if there was an incentive, there would be more reason for people like me to make more (and possibly better) songs.
Think about it for a second. If I earn coins for creating songs, I'll create more songs thereby increasing the amount of REAL money YOU get from people paying to play the songs I create.
I'd be surprised to know that this has never been brought to you before. Please add this in to the next update. Otherwise, 3 stars for now.

Great fun app
Awesome game :)
A little boring 3/5
In the beginning, I loved magic piano! But then, it just got boring. I was just playing the same songs over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over! I wouldn't waste your time trying to play it. It gets boring.
Used to be good 1/5
I used to enjoy this app so much but then it turned into a not so good app I like that people get to do their own songs. It's a great opportunity but, some of them are horrible and are wrong notes sometimes even wrong songs and it's unacceptable. Also the ads are quite the issue. There are way too many. I can understand one after a couple songs but after EVERY song and even sometimes before? Again unacceptable. And the smoola is outrages only one smoola for a video and one per level up? It's not fair. Nobody can own any songs because it takes them a year to get enough to buy one. This app needs serious improvements. Now.
Pretty entertaining for the most part 5/5
Can't bring myself to spend money for more songs and there's only a few free ones that are available so it gets boring fast lol. But love that you can turn lyrics off and just play the song.
Too many ads 1/5
And to get rid of them you have to pay $8 a week!!!! As another reviewer noted, this adds up to about $500 a year!!!!! I do NOT want to play a game if to actually play any part I have to watch an annoying ad for all the same games!!!!!!!! This would be such a good game if you didn't have so many ads.
No support 1/5
By Craigs list user
Not only did they make the version I was playing stop working but they made the app support button go to where you download the app. Hard to find a developer less interested in their customers.
This is amazing 4/5
By 👌🏼Joey For-The-Win🔐
I play and love the piano, but I was never able to learn these big songs, songs from games, movies, etc. But with this app, It's like I'm playing them all, I can play songs that I like, from movies, games, and lots more. But... not every app can be perfect... The ads. The ads come a lot, and it gets kinda annoying. Don't get me wrong this is a GREAT app! It's amazing, but the ads are constant.
LESS ADS PLEASE 3/5
The game itself is pretty fun BUT there's so many ads before you play a song you get ads then after you finish the song there's another ad !!! Some of us can't afford to pay the weekly bill for free access to everything and no ads please give us less ads
The controls are horrible 3/5
By Lucinda~Chan <3
When you actually play the song the keys come very quickly when they shouldn't. And switching between 1, 2, and 3 fingers quickly is not easy. I do like the variety of songs though.
Magic. Piano 5/5
It is really relaxing and fun
Doesn't work with fat fingers 3/5
By Jango the Hedgehog
So I have an iPhone 6SC and pretty much every game I've played so far, I've had no 'detection' issues when it comes to registering my fingers.
For some unknown reason with this game, it simply does not work for me half the time. Purple notes almost always work, but double blue notes it never registers the other finger, and counts it as a single button press.
PLEASE fix this because it is not only ruining my experience, but downright infuriating me.
If you love ads, you'll love Smule Piano 1/5
By Lucy Blue Peaches
Not usable. Plays an ad after almost every song. Long ago, it was my favorite app. Now it's just a joke.
Great app! 5/5
It is so much fun to play this app because you feel like you are actually playing the piano!
Lickity split 5/5
I fw this on heavy mode 🤷♀️
Best game ever 5/5

Awesome app 5/5

Fun to play and good music to play with? Awesome app.
Help with songs 4/5
Everything is perfect but when I purchase a song it doesn't show up in my songs and I need to search it up to play it. Please fix this.
Too many ads 2/5
Ads play before each song, when they end and when you select another song. It really kills what would otherwise be a fun game.
Its cool 5/5

I dig it

First let me say that magic piano is an incredible app. Over the past few days, I watch a video(AD) and am promised 5 credits but once I'm done with the ad it continues to load my credits but then sends me back to my original amount before the ad. Starting to get annoying watching ads do nothing. PLEASE FIX!!!
I watch videos to get smule coins but I don't get any coins please fix
Amazing Game 5/5
I love this game in every way it's so relaxing and makes a beautiful piano sound. The one thing that's kind of annoying is that certain songs you can get by watching a video ad and then you have that song forever, but I have to watch the ad every time. Please fix that and the game will be more enjoyable!!!!! Also, Smule, I have a suggestion for making the game better: why don't you add duets? Each device could have a code, and if someone else puts in that code on a different device they can play the song together, with the other persons notes unplayable to the other person. Please consider this it would be so awesome!!! Thank you for a great game!!!
Too many ads 3/5
By Ha chanwishwusbzbznak
This game is very fun and entertaining and you get to play many songs and have lots of fun in the app but there are way too many ads. After every song you play you have to watch a super annoying ad and it's just very irritating.
Smule is the best!🥇👍🏼😻 4/5
By artist smartness cartoonist
The first time I wanted to play on smule I wished it would be better but the second time I played on it I starter getting used to it and at the end I thout it was super!!!!!
my wrists hurts from this.
Ads are ridiculous 1/5
You spend more time waiting for ads to play than you do with the game and you can't close them immediately. It's fun if you can stand twice as much as time than playing time.
My kids love it 4/5
My kids love it
TOO MANY ADDS 2/5
I would rate this game higher but wow, this game shoves so many adds in your face you get angry after the 2nd song you play. You get an add before AND after every song. They can't be skipped and even after you "X" out of it there's a little grace period where the add wants you to try the game advertised so your forced to wait for a 2nd "X". Beside that, the only way to get new songs is to watch even more adds. And after you buy those songs they tend to disappear after a week or so. Fun game but way too many adds.
It's a good app but.... 3/5
I love this app and I figured out how to get more than 1 smule coin. U have to click on the coin at the bottom right and scroll until it says get 5 free coins and it gives u 5 free coins. Well my problem is that I've been clicking on it but it hasn't gave me any coins. Please fix this. I'm watching adds for no reason and u can't even buy half the songs u want unless u do this
Good app 3/5
By LLL OOO LLL
It is a pretty good app although it does have to many adds and doesn't give enough coins but you can get more by watching a video and some of the songs are rip offs but other wise it's a good game
so. many. ads. 3/5
this game would be great if there weren't ads after every single song you play. it's so annoying to finish a song and then sit through an ad. it would be different if there were ads every few songs, but there's one after every song you play.
Okay. Let me start by saying that this app is a fun and addictive app. I've enjoyed this app for a long time, and it wasn't until recently I realized how much money Smule wants from you, and how they're trying to take it out of your pocket.
As I stated, this app is enjoyable and addictive. I decided to get the all access pass for two weeks and just cancel the renewal. After the week was over, I went to play one of the songs I played while my pass was active and it wouldn't let me. I paid for so many songs and now I need to pay more to play those same songs!! I was so annoyed and I wanted my money back!!
As I kept playing the app, I let the previous situation go and continued to play. I wanted to buy this song for 25 Smoola ( I don't know how to spell it. Sorry!! ) and it said, "You need 0 Smoola to buy this song," or whatever. Then, after I clicked "okay," thinking it would let me buy the song, I lost all my Smoola and I didn't get the song. Not only did Smule want more of my money, they just took all my hard-earned Smoola and basically threw it out. Like, what the heck, Smule??
In conclusion, I say you should not get this app. It would be better if I had to pay for the app rather than get it for free and have to pay for the songs. I would've given a zero star rating, but because it's so fun, I had to give it a one star. Do not buy this app!! You will get ripped off by Smule!!
Loved at first - now it's all ads 1/5
At first I had fun with my granddaughter (age 4) but now it's so junked up with ads, it's coming off the telephone.
When she finally has a chance to play the electric piano, it's a blast. But the minutes between plus time the phone is handed to Papa while we wait for the X to appear ...
Improve composer 4/5
I'm not going to lie, this game is quite fun, but nowadays, I get more enjoyment from making music for other people. The composer needs fleshed out. It's good you can change key and do down to 32nd notes, but it'd be nice to be able to do different lengths of notes (half, whole). A lot of piano songs have different note lengths going on at the same time as other note lengths, and it doesn't sound good in this game to compose those as you cant go higher than quarter notes. Another feature that'd be cool but is definitely not required, would be to allow for tracks where you could have different instruments, though I see how this wouldn't work because the player decides the instrument they use.
