UA app 5/5
Good way to keep track of your current workouts and challenge yourself not be be a FAT@$$
Great fitness app! 5/5
I use this app every day! Cycling and walking. It is easy to use and keeps just the data that I need for my records. I’ve tried other fitness apps but always come back to this one.
Great for tracking my runs, bikes, or electric skateboard rides 4/5
By iPhone/iPad integrator
App is simple to use. Nice to see what friends are doing to help motivate you. I just wish they would allow a free type of activity name or have a generic name for Electric skateboards. I love my Evolve Board and all I can select is Boosted Board. Why not a generic name?
The mileage varies. I run the same route and it gives me different mike marks. It also doesn’t sync with the Apple Watch sometimes.
Works well, annoying ads 3/5
It works pretty well -- the ads are annoying, though.
Messing up on distance 2/5
The app used to work great until about 5 days ago. It will s messing up your n distance.
Great when it works 4/5
A couple times I’ve run and realized it’s in treadmill mode and it’s not tracking my miles; only time.
That’s probably my fault, but that’s been my only issue.
I check it 100% now.
Can't believe they're missing this run option 👀 4/5
Beach run. Pretty simple.
Great app! 5/5
Easy app to use, very good UI. I have been using this app for over 3 years and it has improved with updates.
Under Armour is a really great brand 5/5
I like the how Under Armour integrates diet, exercise and sleep into its app. This makes understanding my health needs a lot better. I am so please too with their smart gear, especially the shoes. I got the Speedform Europa and am loving them. I hope to be sponsored by them one day or be a Brand Ambassador for them. I got the UA Health Box and my favorite is the scale and the wristband. I do have the Heart Rate Monitor but I haven't been vigorously exercising so I haven't yet been in awe with using it. The wireless integration of the Health Box took under 10 minutes.
The recent updated have made using ur app a much better experience ....I liked it before love it now... It's the best thing to happen to working out tells u everything U need to know audibly also can store all data from work out a great tool.
Much improved 5/5
This app suddenly got better a few days ago.
I like to keep track of my running mileage and pace. It helps motivate me since I've aged (now 74) and all 12 of my running buddies have given it up so I'm mostly running alone.
Also I moved across town recently and the app gives me a map and keeps track of my distance so I can explore and go in a different direction every day.
The best recent change is that it stops when I stop. I'm so compulsive that I frequently would pause the app while waiting for a red light or to stretch a tight tendon but I'm also forgetful when the endorphins are working and I would forget to restart the tracking. This feature seems very reliable. Now even if I get home at the end of a run and forget to turn it off it patiently waits without racking up more time.
I don't know how many runs it will store. My previous app was not only twitchy and unreliable but it would suddenly lose my old runs. I would like an option to store old data in the cloud.
So so performance and no customer service 3/5
Paid for training plan, wouldn’t give me the plan I wanted. No one ever responded to my attempts to get help/support. Half the time, it works great. The other half it just shuts down and closes the app.
Needs Apple Watch support 3/5
By CA Maestro
I’ve been using this app for a couple years now and I have been generally satisfied. It was a bit glitchy with my series 1 watch. I upgraded to a series 3 thinking that I could leave my phone behind. I was disappointed to find out this was not the case. It’s enough to prompt me to keep my eye out for an alternative.

Quit making changes all the time. About the time you get a system down it changes and not for the better.

I’ve compared map my run on my phone to Nike run on my Nike sport I watch. Map
My run is so much more reliable and easier to use. Unfortunately I have to carry my phone to use it. I’ve used map my run for years and haven’t had complaints with it.
It is broken!! 5/5
IT’S BROKEN!!!!! Won’t sync, won’t track without a restart of watch and iPhone. It was working great since I got it. Tracking (when it does) is erratic and inconsistent. Fix it please.
Leave it alone 3/5
The app has great functions and picks up a signal well in urban environments. But the designers need to leave it alone. Make the pause button red again and the running button green. Not the reverse. Green means go. And whatever you do, Leave It! All of a sudden I’m stopping because it looks like my timer stopped. But Nope: just designers switching colors counterintuitively. Then it happens a month later when they get antsy and switch back.
Mild visual updates are inappropriate here. We’re concentrating on working out, not the interface. It’s not fresh. It’s annoying. I’d love, LOVE this app if it wasn’t so mercurial.
Keeps you motivated and challenges you 5/5
I love this app. I use it to keep track of my running. Tracking my distances helped me stay motivated. I went from running less than a block to 16 miles, this was a three year progress.
Works great 5/5
No Apple Watch built-in GPS support or data import 1/5
Still no support for Apple Watch 2+ built-in GPS, even though the 2 has had this feature for over a year now. No ability to import the workouts I track with my watch into my personal profile, either, which means I’m forced to take my phone and use mapmyrun if I want to participate in a challenge etc. This lack of support has driven me to abandon the app after 6 years of using it and thousands of miles on my profile. I find carrying my phone (7 plus) is a burden I shouldn’t need to deal with when my watch has GPS built-in, and that the developers should add this feature before more people leave.
Keeps me 100% motivated! 4/5
What would I do without this app? It's vesratile... Run, treadmill run, bike you name it. Just wish that when I start it it would not take so long (mind you it’s just that one gets use to things working instantly.) the app takes about 30 sec to be up and running. That’s all. Otherwise love it!
Not the right app for running 1/5
By carl sabastian
I went on a run a few days ago and it said I ran 2.1 miles at a 9 minute mile pace which was fairly accurate. 2 days later I ran the same rout and map my run said I ran 1.4 miles at a 13 minute mile pace which was extremely inaccurate seeing that on this day I actually ran further and ALOT faster. I have had this app for a long time and just decided to try it recently and was I am extremely disappointed in it. I recommend getting an app other than map my run if possible.
Love this App 5/5
I have used this app for years. I find this app to be very easy to use and love all its features it offers. They have made some nice improvements that make it even better. Enjoy running with a great app!
Recently Unreliable 2/5
Been using the app for 4yrs....has always been a 5 star for me till the last 6mo. App has been unreliable including failing in the Chicago Marathon, Indianapolis MiniMarathon (I get the large races can mess with a GPS), but lately running near home on routes I've done before have either not logged distance, time, or both. Success rate has been 2-3 times out of every 5 lately.
I’ve heard great things about this app, but it crashes every time I try to run a route, which is incredibly annoying.
Miscalculated distances 3/5
This is an easy to use app, and the layout is very nice. However, the reported distances are inconsistent, and incorrect. I’d recommend this app if you don’t care about distance and pace accuracy on your run reports, but if you want correct results, stay away.
There’s a trail I run on with distance increments marked, namely 1/4 mile increments are marked with in-ground plaques along the path. The distances have been measured by a local gym. I tested this using another app, and along every run with the other app, I got the same results. Compared distances on the app with the trail along the way several times, they both stayed consistent with each other on every run that I’ve checked. This leads me to believe that they are both correct in recording distances.
This app was wrong both times that I used it today. I only run around 1.5-2 miles at a time, and this app reported that I reached a mile well before I passed the appropriate plague on my run. Stopped at 1.4 miles on my run. On my walk back to my car, I decided to record my walk. My walk report said I went 1.5 miles. The walk report was even started a good bit closer to my car from where I stopped on my run, so there’s absolutely no reason that I should be getting an extra tenth of a mile added on to my reported distance. This isn’t a super big deal, but I’d like to know how far I actually run, and the actual pace that I run at. Because the distance reported is inconsistent, I cannot trust this app for either of those measurements.
Heart Rate Data not accurate 2/5
I have been using this for a few weeks now and have noticed that the heart rate data seems to be much lower than what it should be. The Apple Watch Workout application running at the same time shows a heart rate about 20 beats higher. This needs to be addressed in a future update. When using the heart rate strap from Under Armour it works fine.
Bad update 1/5
The newest update is difficult to use and not easy to put in workouts when u can’t actually track the workout.
Doesn’t work on a treadmill 1/5
By Dr. Combo
All numbers stay at zeros only calories move. I loved this app but now it’s working dismally at best. Also, had the mvp, and when it expired you can no longer modify previous goals!
Mountain biking calories?? 3/5
Something has changed with the calculation of calories for mountain biking and I don’t like it.
How can I go for a easy walk for an hour or a grueling mountain bike ride for an hour and earn the same calories burned with each?
Super frustrating when I just about died doing a long (for 59 year old me) mountain bike ride that was 10 miles and 2 hours and only burned 600 calories but I can go for a road bike ride at a reasonable pace (14 mph) for 2 hours and burn over 1000?
Keeps me a happy runner 5/5
Hands down my favorite running app. The audio feedback is great and the tracking system doesn't lose me in the hills.

Issues since last app update - incorrect GPS stats and pace. Tried tech suggestions and worked one time now back to incorrect distances and paces. Worked well for a year. Trying to reload entire app today.
Glitches at the end of my workouts. 4/5
By Lark singer
The last few times I have used this app, it stops working and doesn't show up on my dashboard and in my challenges. A little bit frustrating .
Other than that it's an amazing app!

Still works great! 5/5
By Brandon Lettuce
Using the free or small upgrade, can't remember. I love it. I wish it would do 1/2 mile splits, but I think the upgrade will do that.
2017 - still love it.
May 2017. Still works great. Accurate enough to track mowing the lawn:)
Nov 2017- working great in Okinawa JP. Still wish you could adjust the voice/split time at the 1/2 mile etc.
Love it!! 5/5
I love using this app to track my daily run.
New runner review 5/5
Very helpful! Only suggestion: wish they had feature to map the route ahead of time for length of run.
GPS and App issues 3/5
By Stevie Phx
I checked phone at 1:82 miles then ran another minutes to reach the 2:00mi mark but upon checking, app said I was still at 1:82mi
Love it! 5/5
By Stephany Jo
Best app so far I've ever tried! I love how it syncs my playlists with the app so I don't have to open too!
Random glitches 3/5
When I go walking, every once in a while, the app will think I ran out to some random spot and back again. When my friend and I go out together and both track, hers always says less distance than mine. Today mine said 6.6 miles and hers said 4.7. That's quite a difference considering we were side by side the entire time. We had actually done 5 miles. You would think it would be a lot closer since its using gps to map out route.
Great app 5/5
I love it , no disappointment at all
Please fix this! 2/5
By Nick T 46
I had previously rated this app 4 stars because it is a great tool especially if you're training for a distance race (a marathon in my case). Initially, I very rarely had any problems. Over the past month or two though, a series of updates have caused the app to become very glitchy. I feel like the interface is more of a pain, the app randomly shuts down at times, and when it is running some of the functions are no longer oppressing properly (ie the pause and unpause buttons have serious delays which is an issue since I live in a very urbanized area and occasionally am forced to stop). Please fix these glitches and I will gladly reverse my rating!
Works great 5/5
Love the app and the amount of information it tracks.
Easy to use 4/5
Great! Couldn't run without it! But not sure about indoor track running - i need to keep better track of how many times around and compare it to the ap
Great App for Running 5/5
Great app, easy to use with awesome features and reliability. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to track their exercise better.
Love Map My Run app 5/5
This app is pretty accurate. It has a good tracking system for my shoes and has different types of workouts to select. And it keeps my history which is better than tracking manually. Saves a lot of time. Awesome app!
Good but not great 3/5
Syncs good to other devices. Easier than the other apps to play or switch song. Would like it to figure out my stride for better distance/ calorie tracking on treadmills or indoor tracks. Music plays but no alert that gps tracking isn’t happening. Sometimes get done with a 3 mile run and says I had a 29 Second workout- did I accidentally hit pause?
It's a very good work out tracker my phone die couple of times and it still record it. 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
