App doesn’t work 1/5
The app will not let me log in using my email or rewards number. It says it doesn’t recognize my name, email or zip code. Will not let me create a new account because I already have an account. I will try to log in on the computer to see if that works...
If you don’t travel for awhile you lose points 1/5
I finally logged into my account after a couple of years of not traveling. It turns out we both - my husband and I- lost all points.
I take responsibility because we are older -and didn’t think to check junk and/or trash folders for the notifications the customer service representative insisted Marriott had sent.
We haven’t travelled because we have an autistic son who is at times overwhelming. I asked her if in the future a note could be placed in the files of baby boomers like us who will be caring for parents - or children - so that this loss does not happen. She said ... it is a loyalty program after all and you have to visit or ....
I wonder when did Marriott become as greedy and avaricious as the airlines? BTW we also lost every single airline mile we ever accumulated. We love Marriott and this one actually made me cry. It’s probably just getting old huh?
Worst housekeeping EVER! 1/5

This new Townplace Suites is beautifully designed and has great accommodations in each room for both a short and long term stay however housekeeping is terrible!
I've stayed at this hotel on multiple occasions for business and have found housekeeping to be disappointing.
Bathroom and floors are dirty upon arrival, rarely cleaned during stay, dishes not washed or even placed in dishwasher, and bed...well housekeeping just pulls up the covers and makes the bed over the remote control, and even my socks!
I know this isn't a full service hotel and deep cleaning every 5 to 7 days but that doesn't even occur. I went two full weeks with no change in sheets. A coworker even had a pest infestation (flies) and as for me... the stink bugs are everywhere from my nightstand, the curtain, walls and window. Generally 3-4 roaming around my room at any time.
Truly disappointed with this hotel. It's rare I'm displeased with a Marriott- it's been my hotel of choice for the past 10 years on the road.
Used to work great, useless now. Stuck in a loop.
App works OK. Apple Watch app not at all 3/5
I use this app quite a bit on the iPhone, since I travel a lot. The phone app is fairly useful and acts as expected. I don’t know how the Watch app got out of QA. It either won’t connect to the phone and keeps asking you to sign in on the phone or gives you a ‘transfer timed out’ message indefinitely. Consequently, the watch app is totally useless.

It's a decent app with usability. Nice that you can use Touch ID to sign in. Should be able to see or go into the promotion center and track progress etc. Would be nice to be able to view/print PDFs of bills for recent stays. “Request services” feature is nice however, when staying, the hotel responses seem to be hit/miss. I’m not sure how this works at each hotel/front desk but haven’t quite received the service I’ve requested. Overall app is worth using if you stay at Marriott properties often enough to make it worthwhile
Very hard to use and find what you want quickly. Not intuitive at all. Tried to be to fancy. Keep it simple and let users easily find what they need vs hoping to get lucky by clicking on a bunch of unintuitive icons.

I am a frequent traveler for business and pleasure. I book all of my stays via this app. Hands down one of the easiest apps to maneuver through.
I'm truly disappointed with this App. It's very limited and certainly not user friendly. I'll stick with the good old website.
App seems to be down a lot. Will not let you cancel a reservation in the app, you have to go to website. What’s the point?

I want to look at at past stats and download receipts. In reservations you only have two options. Cancelled and future. I want to see past and have options. This app is terrible.
Took away unavailable hotels 1/5
One frustrating thing for years was that you couldn't see ALL hotels in a search, only those that had vacancies. Sometimes for trip planning we wanted to know of unavailable hotels in case we changed dates or search options. Happily they added that two weeks ago AND THEN DID ANOTHER UPDATE THAT TOOK IT AWAY.

I can’t change a wrong rewards ID number 1/5
For some reason, my husband’s rewards number shows up on my app, and the app won’t let you change it. The reservations I was trying to check in for are under my name, not my husband’s, but because I can’t change the rewards number to the correct one, the app is totally unusable.
Apple Watch app - rarely works 2/5
Apple Watch series 3 w/cell, rarely will it update, I constantly get the please sign in on your phone to view your information, making the watch app useless. When it does eventually update, it will work for a day then clears everything and goes back to the previous statement.
Downloading bills 1/5
It's too bad it's not an option anymore and it's not even an option anymore on the full site. Not helpful to business travelers. Take a look at Hilton app. Much more convenient.
Mobile check in not working 3/5
I travel a lot (2 weeks / month) and use mobile checkin continuously. However upon receiving my new iPhone X, I keep getting an error “Access Token Invalid” when trying to checkin. I’ve deleted the app, reinstalled it, signed out and back in, etc but nothing works. Marriott, please fix this error as I really do like your app.

Every time I try to open app it says something like we are un able to process your request due to a unprocessable Condition try back later. I try back and it says the same thing. I called support and was told there was nothing wrong with the app. It is worthless. Can never check in early because you have to go through the app. Worthless
Awesome little app, I use it all the time in place of the full website. Very user friendly, quick, easy, and full of the same information you would find online. Before I had switched exclusively to Marriott I had used competitor's apps and they were no where near as easy to use and as content filled.

I’ve used the app for years and found that it has worked well. However, today when I went to check availability for next week, the app will only allow me to book for one night. I can’t select multiple dates in the calendar, I can’t free text the desired dates, I can’t choose the start date and add additional nights. Useless.

I want to personally thank the GM and it's entire crew for providing the very best service and hospitality! I have been in Texas most of 2017 away from home and this hotel ensured I felt safe, comfortable and as if I was part of there family, making me feel just like I was at home. I could have stayed anywhere but chose to come back every time because of this team! Thank you to all! You are not just a hotel to me you are my friends and family.

I love the app. It is super friendly and minimalist, but I would like to have the option of having filters, like searching for dog friendly hotels, like I do on the web page. In that part it can get a bit frustrating, if you are searching for something in particular you have to search in the internet.

Had made reservations at the Courtyard Bradenton, Sarasota Marriott and had to cancel because I got the flu.
The individual that took my reservation did not give details of the cancellation policy and so I thought I would be able to get a return on the reservation. When I called to cancel because of the flu , to my disappointment in canceling the reservation I lost the full amount.
The sad thing is that the individual that took my reservation wrote down that she talked with me about the cancellation policy which was not true.

Why show unavailable hotels?? 2/5
I’m at a loss as to why you’d want to see all the hotels in an area for given dates regardless if they are available or not. I liked it much better when you only displayed available hotels. At the very least make it an option. 2 stars rated until this is fixed!

App features are a little weak. You can book a room just fine but you're limited on room preference options.
Couple things to make the app perfect 4/5
Should be able to add additional guest names to reservation so they are able to get a key if they arrive separately
If I check in with app, I cannot get an upgrade room.

We thought this would be a great tool to use for checking in while we are driving to our next destination. We tried checking in using the App and on that particular night we were staying on points. We received a confirmation that we were checked in. The desk clerk welcomed us and thanked us for checking in with the App. The next morning we received a notification from our credit card company that we had been charged for the room. When we asked the morning desk clerk why we were billed her answer was “you didn’t check in so you were charged a no show room fee”. It took a few days to get the charge removed from our credit card.
We just tried it again and now the App won’t let us check in...

Multiple discount search 3/5

App is great but would be better if it allowed to search more than 1 qualifying discount at a time. Currently only allows to search one option at a time, (AAA/CAA, AARP, Government, etc.) which makes searching frustrating and take 4 times longer than it should as you have to select one option, search, compare, and then back all the way out to repeat the process with another option. I’m eligible for both AAA and Government rates, but cannot see both options from a single search.

First: Due to family illness, I checked out of the hotel a day early (yesterday). This morning I get a notice on the app that it it time to checkout. In addition, I had not received the promised email receipt from over 24 hours ago. I called the hotel and the front desk confirmed I had been checked out yesterday. When asked about the receipt I was politely informed that because the hotel was part of the “unique autograph collection” it would be a few days before the receipt would be transmitted. Really?
Second: On the app landing page I was offered a MegaBonus promotion. When I clicked to sign up I had to log in again on the full website and was then informed that the promotion was offered in error. Really?
Historically my favorite brand. Reduced travel means I no longer qualify for Gold. Even so, it is disappointing to see the technology move backward this quickly. It feels like no one writing the code is actually using the app.
Inefficient App 1/5
This is the most inefficient app I’ve ever used. He app NEVER holds user ID and password info no matter how many times you enter them in. If your phone has an update. You can forget about this app maintaining your information.

If every time there is an app update and it logs me out it is kind of useless to me.
