MileIQ Mileage Log and Tracker App

MileIQ automatically tracks and records your mileage in the background as you drive your car for business. MileIQ users save an average of $6,900 per year. Tracking your miles for tax deduction purposes? MileIQ is the easiest most accurate way to create logs that follow IRS mileage standards. Easy to Use. Loaded with Features. Two of the biggest mistakes manual paper log keepers make is not maintaining a contemporaneous mileage log and mixing their business miles with personal miles. Inaccurate record keeping can result in rejected mileage deduction claims and IRS penalties. Automatic Mileage Detection MileIQ creates an accurate, contemporaneous record of the miles you drive for work. Automatic drive detection means no stopping and starting the app. No need for manual paper logs.  Accurate Mileage Tracking Features like Name Your Location and One Swipe Classification give your tax-deductible mileage records the accurate details they need to pass IRS scrutiny. A Custom Fit No matter whether you're tracking miles for reimbursements or tax deductions, MileIQ gives you the tools and flexibility to create mileage record details that reflect the miles you drive. • Personalize each drive with vehicle names, job numbers or any designation that fits your business • Use bulk editing to give groups of drives a single purpose • Use Frequent Drives to auto-classify the drives you make most often • Add drives, delete drives, duplicate drives, and more Making Your Business Mileage Count The 2017 standard IRS mileage rate of 53.5 cents per mile driven for business, 14 cents for charity and 17 cents for medical mileage. MileIQ calculates your largest mileage tax deduction. For example, let’s say you drive 1,000 or 10,000 miles for business using the standard mileage rate of 53.5 cents you’d be entitled to a mileage deduction of $535 or $5,350. Detailed Records of Every Drive A mileage log is only as good as the reports it generates. Stored securely in the cloud, MileIQ sends weekly mileage reports directly to your inbox. Need more specificity, use the web dashboard to generate custom reports.  • 20.9 billion miles logged with MileIQ • 60 million hours saved from manual logging • $2.5 billion in mileage deductions and reimbursements Join Millions of Drivers Who’ve Saved Billions of Dollars using MileIQ Try MileIQ for free. Your first 40 drives are free every month. For a complete record of all your drives upgrade to MileIQ Unlimited for only $5.99/month recurring or $59.99/year recurring. Mileage Logging that Works • Easy. Simple to install and use • Automatic. No stopping and starting the app • Organized. Classify your drives with a swipe • Accurate. Mileage logs that meet IRS mileage deduction standards Battery Consumption MileIQ consumes almost no power when stationary (as it quickly goes to "sleep"), and it will only minimally increase battery consumption when in transit. To achieve this minimal battery usage, MileIQ uses smartly constructed formulas to detect drives rather than only using GPS (which requires more power) for location data. MileIQ Mileage Log and Tracker app reviews

  • Pop-Ups 3/5

    By Jidhr
I’ve been happy with it for the past month, however I am SICK of constant pop-ups to automatically classify my entry. Don’t they know I mean NO!?!
  • It has worked great so far for me! 5/5

    By Heena Chow
I am a real estate agent which means I have a lot of upfront costs before I make a closing. Thankfully logging my miles expenses is not one of them! It has been very convenient and accurate so far. The app has a good design with intuitive interface. This app gives you 50 free rides per month to log. If you setup the app correctly to its requirements it never misses a ride! I would recommend it!
  • Not bad so far 5/5

    By Chris o 89
I’m a saleman and you’re travel a lot. I’ve been using this app since the beginning of February so far it’s worked great. The only problem I have is when I’m in the Bronx and my accounts are very close. It doesn’t catch the short trips I make but it’s no big deal I’m probably missing out on 3 miles a week not a big deal.
  • Love this app!! 5/5

    By BradioRadio
This app has changed my life. Thank you for developing it.
  • Fantastic App 5/5

    By NHA ED
MileIQ has finally figured out how to make tracking work miles easy. Way to go!!
  • Email change 1/5

    By cherylbxmen
I have emailed back and forth for over a week about having my account email changed. If I could just talk to someone instead of emailing, this problem would have been resolved a week ago! I have repeatedly asked them to call but they never do. I wasn’t able to access my mileage for taxes this year because of this situation! I hope you can correct this costumer issue very soon.
  • Nice Job. Easy, and automatic 4/5

    By Jljpost
Seemless function - though sometimes a bit off on GPS so you need to watch carefully some routes which may be little hard to recognize. Definitely helping where I would just give up on the logging in any more complicated way.
  • Just starting 4/5

    By RGraalum
How can I go back and add my travel being I am just starting ?
  • Great App 5/5

    By Octoberschild
I love this app. I need to keep track of miles for medical visits. With this app it makes it so much simpler to do that. What’s even better, I can separate medical from my normal outings.
  • Low Drives Not Free 3/5

    By AMT173
I rarely write reviews. Gave 3 stars because I initially liked the app bc it captured every drive and asked if I wanted to combine drives. I could customize personal or business but 40 drives is way too low. I also had a hard time figuring out how to log drives. It kept telling me how many drives I still needed to log. It was very annoying. I had the app about 10 days, my 40 free drives are maxed out. Not enough time for me to decide if I want to pay for this app so I sent the report to my email and deleted.
  • New to you. 5/5

    By Buffie1983
I found out about your app. While I was playing a game. I have to go to the doctors a Lot I'm very sick and have lots of doctors all over so hopefully this will help with what I need for my medical needs.
  • Awful Service 1/5

    By Docj
This current app has more bugs than the jungle. The customer service help is ridiculous by email only and good luck getting a response for days. Pay attention to other reviews. Unfortunately the developers aren’t. Watch the canned useless response I’ll get. Your engineering team was a slap in the face considering I’ve use this program for a long time. Today alone it missed three drives. I am not alone and if you look at the previous reviews there’s a lot of complaints about this lately. You guys need to own up to the problem and fix it.
  • Missing my trip 1/5

    By Zivarit
I am uber driver but when I drop my customer after that I check they app they automatically add that mileage and they didn’t ask me anything about personal or business and first time when I used they ask my for one mile but now it’s deferent
  • No good 2/5

    By Ivy Elizabeth pdx :)
Doesn’t stop drives frequently enough, plenty are mixed business and personal and that doesn’t help me do my taxes at all. Get intuit quick books mileage counter, it’s been pretty great so far for me
  • Misses Most Drives! USELESS!! 1/5

    By dzgnr
Does not work as described. Missed most current drives but has history for 2 years ago when I wasn’t using the app.
  • Great but missing one thing 4/5

    By Beardie2012
I love how easy it is to use! Great app! My only wish is that I could stop the route when I stop at one place and need to start a non-work trip but my stop isn’t long enough for the GPS to register as “drive complete”. I hope that makes sense. Because sometimes I run home after work to grab something then head out to a personal obligation but the map doesn’t end my drive.
  • Great 5/5

    By Bearded welder
I’ve used this app for lil more than 2 years and I have to say I’m impressed with it. It hasn’t missed a trip And I’m a traveling welder.
  • Misses sooooo many drives!!!! 2/5

    By KedRed
I drove to 20 locations yesterday for work. When I got home I had five drives listed. Five! He would think for the price they would be a little bit more accurate. Talk about losing money. Please don’t tell me to contact customer service about this. I’m not the only one that has had this problem. It’s an app issue not us issue or a phone issue.
  • It’s a useless app 1/5

    By عادل من كالفورنيا
This app Tried to create a problem then provide a solution.Useless but coming from Microsoft is surprisingly shocking.
  • Works flawlessly 5/5

Best value on the App Store. Best app I ever bought. It makes my life so much easier.
  • Easy to use 5/5

    By Macherrry
Like this app, makes us easy to classify where and when you went.
  • Great! 5/5

    By Gamesallday21
This app is perfect for someone always in a rush. I would never have enough time to sit and log all of my trips as they happen. Also, once I finish for the day, there’s no way I’m remembering all the trips. I haven’t noticed any errors, but I can say it remembers way better than I do. I highly recommend this app.
  • Just wasted my money 1/5

    By Cfbasile1
Download this app based on the 4.5 rating. I have not driven that many miles but so far it has only logged 1 of my trips. Very disappointed. I'm going back to my paper log.
  • Great App 5/5

    By Lkwdmusicman
Are use this app to track mileage for work so that I can write it off my taxes at the end of the year. Last year I wrote off over 14,000 miles. The money that you spend on the app each year for pays for itself with ease-of-use. You can export your yearly reports into an Excel spreadsheet and give them to your tax professional, or use the data for TurboTax like I do. A+, highly recommend.
  • Disappointed 2/5

    By A Believer in Christ
I used this app back in 2015 when I was a marketing rep, and I loved it. Upon my recommendation, my husband and I downloaded this app to keep track of our mileage for business and personal use, and I must say, “This app is more difficult than it used it be! And I can’t figure out how to label my journeys.” Also, I want us to be able to work our mileage together, and that isn’t simple to figure out, either. This app has gotten way more complicated than it used to be. I’m disappointed. Considering another app that is more user friendly.
  • Keep the app open 4/5

    By ninaahwww
I love MileIQ! I’ve found that MileIQ has missed drives. My solution: don’t close the app out in the middle of the day and open the app before driving for the day. Once the app is open & the GPS is activated, you can turn your phone off. If it’s critical to not miss any drives, open the app before every drive. 5 Stars once MileIQ is perfect. 😉
  • Spot on 5/5

    By Organized wannabe
I find it to be awesome. Great way to keep track!!
  • WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE 1/5

    By Starmb
It’s very hard to talk to customer service. They will charge your card and make it VERY DIFFICULT to get a refund. I don’t like companies that make it hard for customers to actually talk to someone on the phone especially because you’re requesting a refund. You will have to jump hoops to get a refund in case you change your mind about using them. A shady business. Thumbs down.
  • Repeat user 5/5

    By Leoking5669
Love the app and used to use it with my previous business. Now I have come back and love it just the same. Did not need to track my drives for a while so I did not need it but now I need it once again. It is an awesome app and user friendly.

    It works.
  • So far so good! 5/5

    By Glorrieb12464
It's remembered my trips even when i forget to. All i have to do is go back in the app and tell it whether it was business or personal. I love it so far!
  • Easy and accurate 5/5

    By King George 1111
I have a 45 minute commute to and from work. I’ve never considered documenting the mileage. This program is easy to use and accurate.
  • Keeping score 5/5

    By Tins review
This app does all the work for me and keeps my up to date on where I’ve been and deciphers what was work related and what was pleasure
  • Great App but... 4/5

    By toohottocare
When I find a discrepancy, it cannot be fixed with the phone app. I have to use a computer to go online into the Dashboard to correct them. I can’t even log in via a browser on my phone! There is no place to log in from my phone. So it’s quite inconvenient to have to find a computer to use when I’m traveling. All features should be accessible through the MileIQ app! That being said, I contacted support regarding an issue. I was contacted within 24 hours with a support person who really cared about my issue and was willing to go the extra mile (no pun intended 😬). However, my issue as stated above can only be fixed via computer not through the app. So still no resolution. But I do like the app. Much easier than logging miles!

Regularly misses drives. Battery hog. Combines short and two way trips into one long trip.
  • Great app for tracking mileage 4/5

    By Xyj125bill
Have enjoyed the intuitive nature of the app and it’s friendly reminders to categorize my trips. Love it that it automatically reports on miles status and their worth as a business deduction. Also appreciate it that it can easily auto-classify certain trip as business or pleasure saving me time. Only down side, I didn’t know it was gonna require a monthly or annual subscription, although nominal and just another business write off... I feel worth it! Pleased with this app and have not had any instances of it not capturing my trips. :)
  • Love it! 5/5

    By Baby Tider Mom
This app allows me to track my business mileage easily. I would never keep up with all if the details like I should if not for this app. It has also made my prep for tax reporting so much easier!
  • It has picked up all my drives. Easy to use. 5/5

By just the truth, as i know it.
    I would recommend.
  • Not like Microsoft 2/5

    By Alfie35
This product is very difficult to use and not user-friendly at all it is very unlike Microsoft release a product of this very low caliber.
  • A REAL Assistant! 5/5

    By Skeptical Deb
I’ve tried many apps that were supposed to “help“ me. But most eventually disappointed… Too hard to learn, too hard to use, too buggy... I tried mile IQ on a lark. I figured, it would be better than my scribbled notes on paper. Well, it’s definitely better than scribbled notes! My very favorite thing about mile IQ, is just getting into a car, going about my day, without giving mileage a second thought. No looking for paper upon which to scribble notes, no keeping those papers organized and available for monthly reports... what a relief. I have a busy life. It took me about six months at a new job to even give my Mile IQ reports a glance. But quickly, and easily, I was able to provide complete and accurate reports to my employer for reimbursement. Going back and filling in the details, was quite a challenge. Although mile IQ makes it incredibly easy to categorize drives, my memory fails after a few weeks. So, I do recommend that you try to stay up-to-date on classifying drives. It’s something I do at night, or in the morning, or as soon as I possibly can after a busy week. I wish all the tools I use to make my life more productive were as helpful as Mile IQ.
  • Easy to manage my miles 5/5

I’m a Realtor and it makes tracking my work miles so much easier. Thank you!
  • AWESOME, EASY, THE BEST APP FOR DRIVERS!! 5/5

    By Freebird Shirley
I’ve been a professional driver since 2010, and before the “apps” were started having to actually keep and not lose, and make copies keep everything separated labeled and organized files in usually “bulky filing cabinet” now TRIP IQ has came along easiest app ever ESPECIALLY for a person who not only drives a lot but drives a lot for work, recreational purposes, and for folks who just love to ride and drive!! It files everything in the right location compact and easy no keeping track no copies no bulky cabinets!!! If you want ease with options to have no adds $4 a month is very affordable and free if you don’t mind the advertisements!!!
  • Nice But 4/5

Need to be able to combine trips when appropriate. Other wise nice app
  • MileIQ 5/5

Great app to keep track on your traveling.
  • Need improvement 3/5

    By Cahca
I like it but it should be more flexible with the dates. I need to give a weekly report and the app doesn’t have this option. I would have to send the monthly report every week to my email and sum the week I need.
  • Good App 5/5

    By iaheagle
This app is just what I needed to separate my business from my personal mileage.
  • Really good 4/5

    By mau4020
It is really good but it take a little time to learn how to classify trips then after that is very simple
  • Short trips are problematic 1/5

    By rculler
I don’t understand why drive detection is dependent on cell tower location as it says in FAQs. Mapping apps are able to use GPS to ID my location within a couple dozen feet. I need to be able to enter drives, not automatically detected, directly from the iPhone app. Why is this option not available? It seems this is a necessity for short errands that may be under 1.5 miles so they don’t get forgotten. We have regular charity and business trips that fall into this gap. We signed up for unlimited drives but now are sorry because this app is not as useful as advertised. Caveat Emptor
  • So far so good 4/5

    By Outdoors-n-it
I’ve used the app for 5 months now and so far it’s been really good. This week is the only week I’ve found that it missed a few drives. Not sure why. But for the majority of my time in the car, miles have been calculated. One reason I missed a few drives was because I had turned off my privacy in settings. Well it can’t see where I’m going with that off so that was my fault. I think it’s going to be a good side kick for me! Excited to see how well it does this next year when it comes tax time!
