Love the old ver hate the new 1/5
The new version tries to do too much! It’s just too much trouble to use. Loved the old version but stopped working will os ...lost all my data too and it didn’t recognize me😪
Positive motivation 4/5
I really like this app because it helps me to stay on tract with the goals I have set for myself.
It doesn't scold, or get disappointed when I have those much needed "cheat days ".
The daily food tracking is key for me. I can plug in what I want to eat and then make the decision to eat or not eat, it really helps me plan my daily food consumption.
Tracks my walking by having my phone in my pocket, which it usually where it is when I'm up and moving.
I've been tracking everything since April 2017 and I'm well on my way to meeting my finial goal !
Works for CICO but app is horribly slow and laggy 3/5
I completely support ads for free apps/software but poor control by the developers of this app is causing problems. This app not only has ads in its feeds/blogs/screens (which is acceptable) but it will pop open ads which take you completely out of the app until you click done or force close the app. It will also happen in other apps if this app is open in the background. I'm starting to wonder if Apple should be taking a look to see if this app is violating terms of the App Store. If they fix the ad pop-outs it would be a good app again, until the. If you install I'd be sure to force close it when not in use and use it on a PC as often as possible instead. Otherwise it's the best calorie tracker out there with the largest database. Annual subscription is very expensive for an app.
Update: the app honestly has got worse. It's actually so annoyingly slow now because of loading times between screens (I assume because if ads) that I find myself avoiding the app if I am near a PC. Using MFP on a PC with a web browser is much faster. I would think they would have done improvements on speed and in fact the last few updates say so but I just don't see it. If I could scan barcodes on the web version I'd delete the app. Reducing the rating to 2 stars for no real improvement since the last review. Whoever is coding this app needs supervision. Do you even use the app? I have the latest and greatest iPhone and upgrade it every year so it shouldn't be my device. Other apps are 10x faster. Doesn't seem to matter if I'm on wifi or LTE, lag between screens/tasks in this app is almost unbearable.
One good thing is that ad hijacking seems to be gone for now.
Update 2 October 2017 - slowness is still a serious problem. It seems the app needs to load from the server after every single entry, like, or page switch. It makes things painfully slow. Entering food into the diary gets maddening some days. So much so that I will spend time in the mornings pre-logging the day just to avoid using the diary during the day. Then at night I’ll go back and correct anything I remember that was different. It introduces some inaccuracy doing it this way. I’ve gone through two phone upgrades and the slowness persists so it isn’t the hardware. Developers really need to tackle this problem! I’ve lost many friends over the last few months because they could no longer stand the slowness of the app. Not changing my rating at this time because features we should have had a long time ago (recipe sharing) are still not available and the slowness just gets worse by adding video into the feeds. Task the programmers with speed increases and optimization already!
Miss the old program. Hate the update. Especially when it keeps asking you to update.
Good App but glitches for iPad 3/5
By It was all for the one
I like the app but it quite often doesn’t respond to me touching the finished check button when I want to add a food and it will very often freeze all together and I need to close the app and restart it to get it to work. All of this is very annoying. I prefer to use the iPad app since the iPhone version you have to turn your phone to the side to check the macros and the desktop version does not have auto fill when you want to add a food.
Great app 5/5
By Sharp needle
App is great for tracking food intake which makes me accountable to myself. Trying to be healthier and if I can also loose weight along the way I will be even happier! Like the nutritional articles.
Very good 4/5
By Digital diva
App is slow
Totally awesome 5/5
I love everything about this app I was putting on weight could not understand why my daughter told me to cut my calories I was not eating 1200 cal therefore I was not losing weight my body went into starvation mode and I put on weight after using this app I eat 1200 or more calories a day and I have lost 26 pounds I am amazed at how well this app helps my life as for how many steps I take a day I was shocked when I found out I walk more than 11,000 steps a day so I guess I'm getting my exercise I would suggest anyone who wants to lose weight or find out where they are on their eating habits to get this app and use it daily and they will be amazed to thank you very much
Pretty good 3/5
By Books reader
Pros- pretty easy to use and The food finder gets the food accurately most times.
Cons: the app designers decided that 1500 calories is the minimum. Mine is less, but I can't change it. I'm having to do math all the time. Why?
Ads and blogs take up a lot of real estate on the smaller screens. Blog info isn't very helpful. Very basic info. Maybe ok for complete newbies to exercise and nutrition
Some tools are not very transparent 4/5
For example, how does MyFitnessPal figure out my exercise calories?
Overall I appreciate having this app that helps me keep my food diary.
Great app 5/5
This is a great app and it is very easy to use.
The app after working fine for years is now crashing all the time.
Because you kept asking me to rate the stupid app 1/5
The Best 5/5
By far the best food data base around!
Still the best food tracker and calorie counter.
Good In Theory; Terrible in Practice 2/5
I used MyFitness Pal for many years when it still wasn’t littered with ads. I’ve downloaded and searched for many different calorie trackers but none have as comprehensive a service as MFP. However the UI is terrible. Terrible! It’s not intuitive and filled with too many pages to hide ads in. I would love it if the ads weren’t too intrusive and if the interface was more simple. I would upgrade but the price is far too steep. I’m disappointed as MFP has changed from focus on proper nutrition to corporate gain. Very disappointed.
Pretty good 4/5
Love the app but still too much trouble for people on the go. Let me take a pic of my meals and have them added to a visual timeline so I can calculate and add the data later.
I love it 5/5
It's a very good and helpful app I love it so mush
Good but could be better 3/5
The app is really good don’t get me wrong, but it could be a lot better I feel. Not all good options are registered and it sometimes crashes when I try to add food to it. If they can sync the Activity app of the Apple Watch with it, then that would be fantastic since I’d be able to track everything so much easier. Still a decent app nonetheless.
Unable to Process Payment 4/5
By Lady Tre1980
Great app, until you purchase Premium. Won’t process payments. 🤔
I live the app! Makes keeping track very easy. I just wish you could remove am entry. Sometimes I enter something and then don't eat that item?
Doesn’t always work with Health App 3/5
It’s a good app but it’s supposed to sync with the iPhone Health app to record my exercise. It worked for a while but now won’t sync.
This app works 5/5
By AC Ultimate
If you are willing to put the time into logging all of your food intake and exercise, you will definitely lose weight with this app. I lost about 8 lbs in 3 weeks (my goal is to lose a total of 12 lbs. in 12 weeks). Most importantly, the weight loss is sustainable and you can lose weight without losing muscle mass if you pace the weight loss to a reasonable amount per week.
Accurate and very helpful! 5/5
The app is pretty straightforward. All you have to do is be honest about what you eat, how often you workout and post it to your diary. I especially love them barcode feature.
I've added a step tracker to keep track of my calories burned throughout the day. This feature works best when carrying your phone.
Beneficial Plan 5/5
By Petecia A Moon
The “my fitness pal” has been very beneficial for me. Everyone who cares what’s nutritious/not nutritious should try this plan because it most definitely will keep you on track. Thanks for caring about my health👍🏽🍴🌶🍏🍎🍉🍇🍌🥝🍅🍒🌰🥑🍋🍓🥜
ANOTHER GREAT UPGRADE DISGRACE 2/5
huge downgrade with large price increase for ios11. will keep 10 on another machine to keep using the wonderful forerunner app. This is just barely usable. Will find something else.
This app is a must if you want to lose weight 5/5
I've used MFP for a few years now. Every time I commit to using it, I lose weight. It's that simple. I've always faced issues of "justifying in the moment" when it came to unhealthy food choices. MFP keeps me from doing that.
I've been using this app for about 7 years and I can't remember it ever crashing on me. I'm often surprised by how many items are in the database. And, by constant usage, I'm getting pretty good at guessing how many calories a food item has without looking it up. I use the map my walk app too and the two of those integrate very well and even play nice with my fit bit too.
I love this app!
My journey 5/5
Fitness Pal is a great tool for helping me on my journey to lose weight. It is easy to use and all of my food choices have been easy to find.
Constantly asking me to rate the app even though I’ve already told it I didn’t want to.
Watch App severely lacking 1/5
I don’t understand why on the Apple Watch app you can search for foods to add to your diary. MyPlate allows you to do this. The only thing TJ watch app is then good for is adding water or Quick Add, which is just calories without nutrition information. MyFitnessPal needs to catch up to MyPlate for the Watch.
Awesome ap😄 5/5
Love it.😍 it holds you accountable and is a great aid in revealing just how much food you intake and what you should intake! On my way to losing LOTS OF WEIGHT. Losing 2 pounds per week; thanks.
Why does this app not let me sign up? I'm all done signing and then BAM! It "cannot process your request at this time." Or some crap like that. Please if you know what's going on, please help me!
Enjoy a lot 4/5
I like that it uses information from my Apple Watch and Fitbit to give me an accurate exercise calorie count. Also I like that it gives you the option how many pounds to loose I week and give you motivation at the end of the day saying if you eat like this in 5 weeks you will weight this many pounds. What I don’t like about it and maybe I just can’t figure it out but when I input my recipes I can’t figure out how to see the ingredients I used or edit after I save it so if I forgot an ingredient I have to re-enter the entire recipe over
App helped focus on weight loss 5/5
I love this app. Getting into the routine of entering my foods eaten / calories has helped me lose weight and keep it off. Paired with the Map My Run app, this app makes healthy living possible.
IPad Version Stopped accepting Input 1/5
I don’t think this is a recent update issue because I can’t remember when it stopped but my iPad version doesn’t accept inputs anymore. It allows me to input the data but nothing changes. iPhone version works just fine but it would be nice if I could input data across devices. I’m asking for too much.
Good app, missing something 4/5
Overall the app has greatly improved over the past couple years, but it's missing something important for the "friends" component... recipe and diary sharing. If you live with someone or making a meal with a friend, it would be nice to just copy what they input into their diary.
Don't download latest version 1/5
The new update that just went out is bad. It will freeze/crash your phone every time you open the app. Wait for a fix.
Easy to Use 4/5
I am really liking this app so far. Simple and if the calories are all correct than I’m staying on task
Error please try again later 1/5
This keeps popping up. I can make a new account, login to a new one or redeem my password
Really like this app
Great Help 5/5

Good. If you set your mind to it, works! Great help!
Lifestyle changes 5/5

I like my fitness pal because it is very simple to use, stores all my scanned food choices and meal plans I’d needed!! I love the way you can log your exercise routines! Very user friendly!
Fitness pal works 5/5
I have only been using the app a little bit over a week. It work great with my health tracker and I'm still getting used to watching my intake if you don't have the app you should get it and use it to your advantage to hello bring you back into the shape you want to be healthy and fit.
Trying to add foods eating 1/5
By Walker 6685
When I try to enter a food the ap closes.
Stopped working 3/5
It randomly stopped working on my iPad. I deleted it and reinstalled it and it still doesn’t work. 😔
Great app 5/5
My husband and I love this app.
Best tracking app 5/5
I have tried many and this is by far the best free tracking app out there!
Do not upgrade - they don’t deliver 1/5
By don't waste your money folks
Recently I upgraded to premium after years of using the free app- what a mistake! The promises they make on the phone app are not delivered for example ‘time stamp when you eat your meal.’ Furthermore if you compare the promises they make on the desktop version of upgrade - it is different from the phone app. Desr MFP- deliver on your promises otherwise why upgrade?
Annoying to use with Fitbit 2/5
This app is ok but it can never find my Fitbit. I have to constantly open the website and reconnect to it. It’s SO very annoying. I’ve complained to their help desk many times and although they always fix the issue, it never stays fixed.
Now I just use the Fitbit app to log all my food, it’s just too frustrating and a waste of time to deal with this.
