Glitchy App 2/5
Recently my MFP app has been freezing and shutting down when using the scanner or updating a progress picture.

5 pounds down!! 5/5
Well the first 5 is gone not to come back ❤️
Super effective 4/5

Love using this app to keep me in track. And the more you use it the easier it gets. Definitely helps you achieve your weight loss goals.
Missing a star because this does not sync with my UA Record daily fitness so I have to log it in manually which doesn’t make sense because they are both UA apps. Very frustrating and extra time spent logging more data.
Well organized, great app 5/5
By FCC Fan123
This app has been great for my weight loss. It has almost all foods I eat, so it is easy to catalog my calories and my exercises.
It helps me a lot to calculate daily calories and protein intakes ... even that it doesn't take more that 5-10 minutes / day to add your meals and snacks and make a serious program of your challenge .
Great app 4/5
Love the app I have managed to lose up to almost 30 pounds on it all while having other healthy issues.
Basic level 5/5
Wish you could comment on others while on basics

I wish everything was free! 4/5

I enjoy using the app. I’ve been on and off with tracking my diet, I like that all my information is saved regardless of having deleted the app many times. I would love for this app’s premium features to be free. This is really the only major downside to the app. One room for improvement is that the app limits itself to track the amount of steps for exercise when the Apple Watch is connected to the app. I believe by connecting to the Apple Watch and the iPhone Activity app it should be able to track heart rate and various other parameters of exercise. Otherwise, I recommend this app for personal dietary use!
So up too today the app was great, but now it won’t sync to my Fitbit app and isn’t showing my proper amount of steps. I have it set to Fitbit under settings, but it shows set to phone on diary page. Says I’ve only done 529 steps when I’ve actually done 5,861! Umm big difference and I’ve tried fixing it with no results.
Please add category for Supplements 5/5
By Nick - Wisconsin
Great program, almost every food is found here! Only improvement I’d love to see is a separate category for supplements (I now log them as snacks).

Amazing app so easy to use it is a genuine life changer!!!
Can get hung up and crash fairly frequently, especially when reading the blog posts on the home screen. Otherwise is easy to use and the free version has all the features you need.
Very Helpful 5/5

I use MFP along with Garmin Connect. It's very helpful. If I'm unable to run, and check my calories, it's very informative and shocking sometimes. You don't always realize your calories can seriously add up quicker than you think.
Most Appreciative!! 5/5
Wish I had this growing up. Maybe my lifelong struggle with my weight would have been less up and down.
Thank you for helping make it so easy to see what I’m consuming.
Great app for counting calories and gaining weight! Lots of different food in their search system also!
Fantastic app!! 5/5
I am participating in a weight loss/health challenge in order to get my weight and blood sugar under control. This app helps in monitoring my carbs as I eat (with premium subscription), which is really helpful. Love the app! Keep up the good work!
Love this app! Been using for years 5/5
I have been using MyFitnessPal for years, I have friends and been using with family members, have recommended it and use it daily. I have tried others such as weight watchers and iTrackBites and haven’t liked them as well; I always come back to this one. I don’t have premium, just use free version. I log every meal, make recipes to log meals , it’s easy and quick, I scan foods and it’s even quicker! Rarely have I had issues with the app, occasionally if IOS has recently updated. I love it and highly recommend it. It has lots of tips and a great community, tools for success.
Beware Paid Subscription 1/5
Paid subscription auto renews without warning. To cancel you must go through iTunes, cannot be cancelled directly. AND...My Fitness Pal does not have phone customer service--so billing questions go into an email queue taking quite some time to respond.
Stick with the free app.
A new problem 3/5
By Mushchina Tvoey Mechty
After the next update the program ceased to transmit and calculate burned calories from the fitness gaps Garmin vivofit 3. I tried to break the connection and reconnect, nothing happens. I spent 500 calories in training, and in the final line for the day in the program MyFitnessPal-zero.
Love it❣️❣️❣️ 4/5
Love this app❣️❣️❣️ Very easy to log calories with the barcode scanner and huge library you can search❣️❣️ would love for this app to log water intake and keep record of water intake. I can log water intake but it's been deleting back logs some reason. Would also like for water intake to be shared with the Apple Health app.

Avoid. Cash Grab, not customer-oriented 1/5

Ever start a free trial and then learn you are automatically enrolled in a recurring subscription after you’ve agreed? That is what happens here. And then, to frustrate you further, the unsubscribe pathway is carefully hidden. Search online, and the instructions to cancel are just wrong. I finally learned the method to cancel- you have to enter iTunes to cancel the subscription.
The app creators omitted this instruction. There is no pathway to unsubscribe within the app. Again, poor business practice.
The reason I decided to quit- the program is weak. For blog access and a kind of matrix spread sheet entry program that you cannot adapt, they want $14.99 a month. Greedy!
For this price, I expect a great service- a service, not something you built once and released into the wild.
The data for food is not perfect. This is because it has been created by users. So, for example, there are several options for pumpkin seeds. None of them agree on calories, carbs, vitamins or minerals.
The app purports to provide tracking of vitamins and minerals. Well... not really. Most of the pre-user-made food entries omit the *optional* values for vitamin A, sodium, potassium, vitamin C and iron. (Yes, that is all. No Magnesium, no vitamin B, no folic acid, etc.) So, the daily report shows a failure to consume sufficient amounts of most nutrients. But, this is false because most of the data is omitted and counts as zero.
Then, to make matters worse, the app locked up and refused to operate in any way except “offline mode.” This means it cannot look up any pretreated values.
And, without those pretreated values, with me needing to create all my own entries... looking up %DV on sites like whfoods.com, why do I need to pay someone else anything? I can create an Excel or Numbers portfolio, set up my own graphs and create my own data sets.
I canceled. Avoid this frustration.
Amazing App 5/5
By aaron 6912
This app really helped me become aware of what I’m eating, nutrition facts, and how it impacts my weight. Love it!!
On track 5/5
I love the reminders to keep you on the right track!
Every time I try and enter food it says i’m in “Offline Mode”. I’ve tried uninstalling the app, I don’t know what else to do. Will have to delete soon if not resolved.
Doesn’t sync with Apple Watch on high intensity 1/5
One star until fixed. Super annoying
Updates ruining syncing with Watch 3/5
The problem with the sync settings message showing up every time the app is opened on the phone has been fixed. However, there still appears to be no relation between what the Apple Health app and my Apple Watch record for the day's exercise and then calculates for exercise for the day, and what MFP records. I could understand a discrepancy in calories burned, but there's not even any agreement as to the number of steps taken. Maddening!
Over the years there have been glitches in this app, which have ultimately been resolved. And when I bought an Apple Watch a year ago I was pleased at the efficient synchronizing function of my workouts and walks between the Watch and MFP. Unfortunately, that functionality has been blown away with every successive "update" for the past 6 months! And it seems to get worse with every update. No matter how much I delete, reinstall, etc., MFP no longer synchronizes properly with my Watch, and I'm just plain fed up, especially since I became a paying member a couple of months ago. And the MFP people know about this problem! But it's not been fixed. Distressing and disappointing. To make matters worse, since the last update, every time I open the app to enter data I get prompted to set up syncing with the Apple health app, and the notification never goes a way, no matter how many times I reset the Health app settings!
The best choice I️ ever made 5/5
This app changed my life! Working in the medical field I’m always taking care of others and this app allowed me the flexibility, accountability and knowledge to make a difference in my life. No greater trainer at no cost!
I Love it! 5/5
I've just recently started trying to eat healthier and work out more. I love how it tells you how many calories you should be consuming based on your height, weight, goals, activity level, etc. You don't have to calculate it yourself. I had no idea that I was eating so many calories but this app has helped me become aware and, as a result, make better choices. It's so easy to enter what you eat and your exercise. I would recommend to anyone.
Excellent app!! You’ll log your food intake which will cause one to think before eating empty calories. Also, steps are counted and included in the equation, subtracting calories from food intake, so there’s an accurate balance of remaining calories. The app works! Just do it!
Do NOT get premium unless you want to pay forever!! 1/5
I tried the free premium for a month and decided it wasn't worth it. Went to cancel and it brings you to the iTunes Store to manage your subscription but there is only an option for monthly or yearly but not to cancel. I had to email Apple to get the subscription charge removed.
Aids weight loss efforts adds to my support system. I do wish all the carb counts were more accurate 5/5
App is responsive and reminders help keep me aware of scarabs, and calories each day.
Good app, bad for battery life on my iPhone 1/5
Good app with with issues. Love being able to track food and nutrition. Been using the app for 9 months and within the last couple of months I’ve had to reduce use of it and stop its access to cellular data. When the app is open it will literally reduce my phone’s battery life by 1% for each minute I’m using the app. I read through comments on the help site that show others having the same issue. Suggestion from tech to uninstall and reinstall, that would wipe out all info I’ve obtained?? Waste of time and effort. Fix the problem!

A fast, easy to navigate, and helpful app!
Why did I have to try this? 4/5
Now I have to get the premium to unlock the rest of the features. I decided I was going to get out of the Fitbit ecosystem due to their refusal to work with Apple’s HealthKit. Going to try the Nokia scale and this app now instead. So far everything works really well and it seems like their database is more robust. The free version has everything I need but I would like to try premium as some of the features I think would be beneficial. My only concern with this is the price. That’s a lot of money. I would have preferred the idea of a lifetime membership at a higher cost. I’ve looked over the features and I don’t think the price currently is justifiable. I’ll give it a try with the trial but I can tell you it better be really good.
Pretty good 3/5
Love the app but still too much trouble for people on the go. Let me take a pic of my meals and have them added to a visual timeline so I can calculate and add the data later. This would also be helpful for the growing trend of Time Restricted eating and Intermittent Fasting dieters.
Love it, but too many freezes 3/5
My wife and I love the app, as we both use it to track our calories.
In the last few months, however, we’ve noticed the app just freezes, and must be dumped & reopened to get it to respond. I haven’t come up with any pattern for this, but it typically happens at least once every time I’m using it. This predates the iOS 11 update.
Health Kit Duplicate Entries 1/5
The app has recently begun adding duplicate and/or triplicate entries when syncing to Health kit completely interfering with the ability to track progress relative to nutritional intake.
Love this! 5/5
This is an amazing free tool. Love it! Make sure you log everything and at the end of the day complete your diary. It’s incredibly motivating to see what my weight will be in 5 weeks the way I ate that day.

I recently had a health/heart scare while pregnant. Thankfully everyone turned out fine but one of my doctors put me on a get-healthy kick. He suggested I use this app to track my caloric intake. I paired it with the Fitbit app and I've lost 17 pounds so far! I highly recommend this app!
Good app 4/5
Does what it says. Ads are annoying but only mildly
Love it!!! 5/5
I have the paid version and I love it!!!!
Love My Fitness Pal 5/5
I really love the way My Fitness Pal makes it easy to track my food . To date it is far better than any method I have used in the past ! Sincerely Mitzi Patterson
Latest Version Not Adding Foods 1/5
I keep wanting to log my meals and nothing. Expert user for years here. Poor job with latest release.
Great App 4/5
By Storms shadows
Love this app, have recommended it to a ton of folks trying to loose weight. The only reason it doesn’t get a 5plus is because, it takes being tied to many other apps and receiving data from them. Seems it would be incredibly easy to actually be “the ultimate fitness app”, by adding workout section designed a lot like “Strong” and other work out apps. Right now using 3 other UA apps and 3 other programs that this one could easily integrate. All the data it needs for many of these other apps are on a lot of watches and phones these days.
Anyways, I recommend this app for anyone at any level of condition and conditioning. Just would love to be able to do it all on this app. To be a true fitness app it needs to be able to record, monitor and translate all data like: sleep, vitamins, workouts, heart etc.
