To echo others, this doesn’t save any time or make anything easier.
Imagine having an app on your phone called “search”, and when you click search it just opens Google in Safari. That’s what this NFAAS app does.
Opened the app yesterday (Feb 7), showed “update in progress”, screen turned white, nothing displayed. I scrolled down and there are images about 3 shades darker than white, they link to the website which could not be accessed. And still can’t be accessed from the app, my phone OR A GOVERNMENT COMPUTER.
The Navy survived for over 200 years without this app, or that website. We can survive without it again until something is made that actually works.
Deleting it now, recommend everyone does as well.
What’s the point of this app? It was endorsed by my command as a way to do the NFAAS musters. But it only links to the website, I can save the site to my favorites and have the same functionality as this app. Everything else is already in my phone. I can easily look up military installations, we have preparation trading and check list given to us, the list loaded into my phone. There really is no point to this app.

Reading reviews, the same problem has been going on for years. Installations will still not load.

The app is dead! It doesn't allow to select a installation... worthless
Not user friendly and is not working. Useless. Absolutely useless!!!!!!!!!
Not working 1/5
Downloaded this app on the heels of Irma to stay informed and continue to get an error message.
Doesn't work! 1/5
Crashes all the time. Seriously a joke. It's almost like they don't want people to use nfaas.
I'm on convalescent leave, this is great for updating my NFAAS from home, with hurricane Irma coming. The app has the necessities.
Worst app 1/5

Honestly I feel like a college kid could write this app better. My base isn't listed. How is it possible not every navy base is listed? Glitchy. We deserve better.
Just awful... 1/5

Typical of most Navy IT endeavors, poorly thought out and given to the lowest bidder to design. At least after years of absolute failure, DoN finally got rid of NKO, we are still stuck with this crap though.
IF you are able to select your base (there are plenty of people who cannot) then good luck getting anything other than a blank white screen to show up. The app's only real functionality is as a shortcut to the NFAAS mobile website...uh, at least that part works sometimes.
Don't waste your time, just get on a computer and go to the website...oh wait, if you're in a disaster you likely won't have power...uh, never mind then, you're screwed!

App is garbage. Installation (Joint Command) is not an option, so I cannot do anything with it! Theoretically, a good idea... but practice is pathetic!

Not ALL sailors are stationed on NAVY bases. Should be able to choose ANY military base and THEN some.
My base not included? 1/5
This app has been around for 3 1/2 years and it still doesn't include bases from other branches? I'm currently stationed on in the Air Force installation and I'm recovering from hurricane Matthew 2016 and there is no way for me to use this app. Wyehwood did need to know what base I work at anyways? It should just go off of all alerts for my current location. For example, I was on travel in Europe during the Brussels bombing. A plainclothes order was issued for all of six and a muster notification when out as well but I didn't get it because this system goes off of my home address instead of my current location. It seems like you have a lot of work to do to make this useful for the people that it really matters for. The onesie Tuesdays that are going to slip through the cracks because they're away from a Navy base or support structure. I know everyone on maybe bases will get the support they should from their shipments but where's my help? After 3 1/2 years of app development this is pretty disappointing. This is the second time THIS YEAR that it should've been able to help me but didn't.

There are Sailors in support of Marine Corps Forces who cannot update using this app. Please add Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, Pendleton, Beaufort & Kaneohe Bay at a minimum. Thank you!

It is important to fix this app, people need to use it in order to update their info.
why can't you update or muster in app? 1/5
why cant you update your info or muster on the app??? it just sends you to the nfaas website. I can go to the nfaas website on my own. I don't need an app for that.
Won't show installations.
Incomplete Program 1/5
I am stationed at a unit in Camp LeJeune, NC. There are no listings for Navy commands on anything other than Navy bases. Currently there are wildfires on MCB Camp Pendleton and MCB Camp LeJeune is often hit by hurricanes during hurricane season which is coming up in about 2 weeks - with power possibly knocked out from one of these disasters this would help us get a more accurate muster of Sailors and Families in need and services to the right people. Please fix - this is huge and would come in handy. Right now it won't be of any use to thousands of Navy families for several bases prone to natural disasters.
It's very useful and I really love using it. I highly recommend this apps to every member of the United States Navy.
