For several weeks now I am no longer able to purchase books from nook. I even lost most of the books in my library in my attempt to fix this issue. After contacting Nook’s helpline I was given instructions
(which I followed faithfully and am still unable to retrieve my missing library. The Nook app no longer works for iPhones.
Prepare to have little choice 1/5
There are 4 items available as I open the app. There are perhaps three areas out of those where one can say in what genres they are interested. Looking at a book of some interest, it cannot be purchased using the app, only from Barnes and Noble or Nook.
So for me? A useless advertisement for Barnes and Noble. Uninstalled.
When I go about 30 minutes to an hour I get an error and have to download the book again!!
Needs purchase option 4/5
I’m pretty sure there isn’t a purchase option is because Apple wants you to buy from their iBooks app. Lame. This app works great except for the fact you can’t buy books. You have to do it through your browser first.
Constantly re-downloading 2/5
By Michelle Kelli
Every time I open the app I have to download my book again! It’s so frustrating!
Beauty and the Beast so good 5/5

Discovered a new favorite author. Now I need to REQD some more of her works. These two were so good.
C’mon Apple... 3/5

Allow us to purchase the book from the sample.
Why don't you want me to buy books? 2/5
By buy book
I've been a long-time nook supporter, but I HATE that I can't buy a book on the app! What's the point of a mobile reader if I need to transfer over to the website and login to purchase something?
Love, Love, Love this app 5/5
Before I discovered this app, I was carrying around so many devices. It was such a hassle! So much so, that my favorite pastime became a chore and I found myself not wanting to read. Now... I have this wonderful app and I carry ONE DEVICE! I love reading again. Thank you Barnes and Noble. You have certainly made me a customer for LIFE!!
Does all I need 5/5
I've used the nook for quite some time and I find the magazines have excellent resolution and even though I miss the smell of print it still gives me a close experience to reading from the page. I also appreciate being able to see books with graphics in high detail. Finally I appreciate there being a viable option to amazon by a company that actually supports books and reading.

This is the first app I look at each morning before work, on my break and at lunch! I love this app ❤️

I love the books to read but the game Nook is boring
Material Witness, Lisa Mondello 4/5
Downloaded material witness by Lisa Mondello, pandered to me as “free” and after reading 138 pages, the “free” book simple ends and moves on to the next of the Mondello stories. Very disappointing that NOOK, BARNES&NOBLE, and MONDELLO would do this as I actually enjoyed the book as far as it went.
What did you do to this app?? 1/5
I can’t download any of my previously bought nook books, I can’t search for new books in the store..... Seriously, what did you do with this last update?!
Great for grad school 5/5
Helpful to have all the readings in the same platform and be able to use highlight and notes tool.
App keeps losing place in book. 2/5
The most recent update keeps starting my book over from the beginning.
B & N NOOK 5/5
No need to carry an additional device to read your books. This app allows one to read the books purchases from Barnes & Noble on your phone or iPad. Highly recommended. I can read from my iPad or iPhone or Windows PC an the program remembers where I left off.
Love the app...let us buy books from it! 4/5
Love the app for reading. Wish I could buy books from it though instead of having to go to the website or digging out my Nook to buy books. Cumbersome. More and more people are moving away from extra devices and doing everything on their phones. Time to catch up.
Have to Redownload Book 3/5
By The Feskos
It’s absolutely ridiculous that I have to re-download the book I’m reading every time I open the app. I went to read my book on the bus, and couldn’t because it had to be redownloaded and I didn’t have access to WiFi. Please fix this!
How do I get rid of the "Articleview"button? It's highly annoying, it blocks several words in magazines. Yes I understand what it does, and I don't want that function.
I love this easy to use app💕💕
Love this app 5/5
The only thing I miss from the actual nook is being able to shop on the app. Looking is not the same as purchasing. When it is time for a new book, I get out my nook to look and purchase.
Remove home indicator bar on iPhone X 1/5
The home indicator bar (white/black strip at the bottom) appears when you turn the page. It is really distracting to have it appear and disappear every time the page is turned. Please disable this.
Why can't I order a book from the app? 4/5
Love my Nook 4/5
Actually if I was rating this after only using the android version it would have been 5 stars. The iPhone version makes buying books much more cumbersome than the android versions does. However, switching to iPhone has saved me a lot of money because it’s so much harder to buy the books.
Love the ability to use iPad/Tablet and phone both and it keeps track of progress. Great ability to adjust brightness and size of print.
Has some great features 5/5
Useful app. Like the fact that you can see the book summaries right in the app.
I love nook app 4/5
By D&R puzzle lover
I love the nook app. It's like your own library right there on your phone. The only problem is, if you're off wifi it may take a little while to load
Beware of huge storage requirement: 40x a Nook! 3/5
A 2 Mb magazine on a Nook takes over 80 Mb on the Aire. Will have to archive a lot! Excellent display. hope to greatly increase internet speed to read more of my collection.
Sometimes the downloads just disappear from my iPod. I am confused as to why.
It’s great 5/5

Has all my favorite books !!!!
Cuts off top of page on iPhone X 5/5
Edit:solved with new update
Footnotes make for inefficient frustration 3/5
My only gripe with this app is the finicky nature of footnotes. Either the screen is too sensitive as I click on the hyperlink number and keeps turning pages back and forth, or it refuses to recognize I’m clicking anything and highlights part of the footnote. Then after a few minutes of persistence when I get to the note, if it continues onto the next page, there is no longer a back button available. And I go through the same exhaustion process trying to get the app to understand I need to go back to the text. It is nearly every time, and it makes reading certain texts wildly frustrating.
Great app 5/5
By Sister quilter
I have always enjoyed my nook I never thought I would because I liked having a book in my hand. I like having the books in my nook or iPad it’s easy I don’t have to go outside of my home if I don’t feel like it.
Crashed three times in the first five minutes 1/5
I just needed a good reader for a trip I’m taking. Two major issues here: can’t purchase through the app and it crashes continually as I’m trying to read the sample I downloaded. Nobody has time for this. Deleted it and I’m trying the Kindle.
The nook app for iPad in particular could use some improvements. I find the lack of highlighting options available so frustrating that I'm going to continue to buy most e-books on Kindle. It's fine for a novel, but I'm reading ebooks for a course and need good highlighting options. It's not smooth and no color options. Strangely the options are better on my Android phone. But I prefer to read on my iPad.
A Great Accessory for my Nook 5/5
By Bee A Gee
Thank you Barnes and Noble for this updated app which allows me to keep my books catalogued properly for my Nook Glowlight. Very easy to use.
Won’t sync across devices 3/5
I read on an android tablet as well as on my iPhone. I love the app EXCEPT for one huge FLAW... it won’t save the page where I left off! If I read on my tablet at home and then try to read on my phone when I’m out, it’ll give me a notification to sync to furthest page read, but it is wrong! Highly annoying to have to swipe and try and find where I left off. My Kindle app doesn’t have this problem...
I love my nook 24/7 but even on the
iPhone we should be able to share books and email. Like they can on the nooks
Love my Nook app 5/5
By Jaybird Fx
I originally used the BN Nook reader but it was hard on my fingers to change pages. I used the app n my IPad and continued to enjoy all the good books. I especially like the ability to identify a word. That’s a great PLUS. Thanks
Like the app 5/5
By Rosie is HAPPY
I have a Nook reader and an iPad which has the Nook app. So convenient that I do not have to carry both things with me if I need to use my IPad and also wish to read.
I also wish I could make purchases from the Nook app on the IPad. I think more "impulse" sales would be made and it would be a good business move for B&N.
Avid reader 5/5

I use this app all the time and never have any problems. It's great!
Tired of the frustration. 1/5
I think I am done hoping this app will get better. Used it for years but I think I am going to delete it when I finish the books I have bought. My two main issues are the fact you can’t but books in the app (even though you have a section called Bookstore) and it keeps erasing the books I am reading. From the looks of the other reviews a lot of people have the same problems as me and have had them for awhile and yet they haven’t been fixed so I have four books to get through and then I think I will be giving my money to someone else.
Great device 5/5
I have MS & cannot turn real pages easily. I can, however, “turn” the electronic pages of my Nook with ease. I do a lot of waiting in doctor’s offices and like to have a book with me so I can read to pass the time. My Nook is a size that will fit in my purse, making it easy to carry with me. I also have the Nook App on my iPad & iPhone so i still have a ‘book’ to read even if I don’t have my Nook or it need charging. I highly recommend Nook and the Nook App.
Customer service 1/5
By Frustrated 1972
Customer service is awful. I have had several issues and no solution! I have two email addresses which Barnes and noble sends me info and they have allowed people to use them. I even contacted them to let them know and they could careless.
Thank you 5/5
I like this site because it has such A good selection of free books. Living on Social Security means no extra money for luxuries so Thank you Nook for making my days nicer.
This app is crap 💩!!!!!
Needs to be laid out better,
Rating Nook 1/5
There needs to be a way to cut and paste small portions of the books for the purpose of taking notes. Like maybe 1 paragraph at a time.
It would also be nice to have various colors to highlight in.
This app shuts down when i open some of my books on windows devices.
Functions for me 4/5
I want to support competition for Amazon. I now only acquire electronic books which makes Barnes & Nobles Nook my go-to "brick & mortar" source. The Nook app doesn't do much besides let me read my books and flag pages to return to later. Search capabilities would be welcome. B&N could give me more information about my library like an actual list of titles owned. However, the essential functions of reading & bookmarking work just fine.
Do they know what a bookmark is? 2/5
I really want the nook reader to be good, because I don't like Amazon. Unfortunately it isn't. It loses track of what page you are reading and sends you off to what seem to be random locations when you reopen a book. Trying to use a bookmark to save your page is a waste of time, because it doesn't show bookmarks on the progress bar. add to the an annoying interface to library management and you're left with a bad taste every time you ise it.
App crashes consistently 1/5
I can’t read a single book without the app crashing. Absolutely useless.
