Used to like it but it stopped working for me. Now it’s useless. I cannot choose an agency so I cannot use any buttons.
No train schedules will show on iOS 11.1.1 1/5

No train schedules will show on iOS 11.1.1
Used to work now it crashes 2/5
I loved this app. But now it crashes. Won't even open. What happened?! Now I'll have to get something else. :(
Great app 5/5
Usually doesn’t crash
No longer works in my iPhone. 1/5
I don't travel to GCT. The app no longer shows the schedule from my home station to botanical gardens station. Please fix
My wife left me 4/5
By Vault Guy
Has served me well these past few years I’ve been in NYC. Recommend to anyone that needs it. Good app.
By Only One of Me
Should have never updated app !!!!!
Old app was great but this one stinks 1/5
I used to rely on the old version, but the new one simply doesn't work. Plus it has annoying ads. Deleted.
App has stopped working! 1/5
By Shelley in NYC
I’ve loved and relied on this app for more than a year - but it suddenly stopped working! And I just paid for the ad-free version, too. The calendar roller keeps defaulting to today when I want to see the schedule for Friday. Developers please help! This is very disappointing, as it was the best MetroNorth app around until now.
Terrible-now MNR wants to charge for app! 1/5
Cannot look at schedule 4 days out. And now MNR wants to charge for this app. Total lack customer service.
All of a sudden, I can’t use this app. It is asking for an agency but when I tap to enter whatever it is, the field is blank. I can move past that.
LIRR not working 1/5
Fix it please and I will update my review
New version is horrible. Do not update! 1/5
I just made the mistake of downloading the update. I loved the original version of this app and would have given it five stars. The new app that changes the interface in a way that is less attractive and somewhat less easy. But the worst part is that there are now annoying advertisements that you can't get rid of at the bottom of the screen.
Don't use on holidays, or random other days. 2/5
The train times are incorrect on all holidays and the occasional weekend. Other than that the train times are usually reliable. They have yet to respond to my email support inquiries on the subject. It's easier and more reliable simply to check the Metro North website.
Absolute BS 1/5
Metro north should send out some sort of notification if it's going to decide to switch apps. I've had this app for years rarely an issue. Until I went to use it and apparently MN-RR has a new app. So mine didn't have an updated version and there's no update. Completely ruined my weekend and made me miss my event. HORRIBLE.
Metro north messed up....again 1/5
Thanks for making me late to work this morning, guys. After I spent $268.00 dollars on my monthly ticket, too! So great to know metro north cares about its customers. :) you guys said there was a 7:00 AM train, and lo and behold: no 7:00 AM train to be found. Veronique Hakim, what's up with this?
Needs Track info and holiday schedule 2/5
Older versions had Track info, which is the most important piece detail when running for a trail. Previous versions also ran overall faster, smoother when reversing train destinations.
An update with holiday schedule would be helpful too.
They are promoting the OnTime app in pop-ups. It's meant to replace all the individual train lines but is basically useless.
On the first opening of OnTime, it immediately freezes with a spinning wheel icon. After I force the app to close and reopen it, I can't "choose agency" and you can't get beyond this screen. Very disappointing
Great when it works 1/5
It never opens or works when I need it to!
Great app 5/5
App always works it's a wonderful app
Much improved 5/5
I use this app every day. Every once in a while a glitch in the updates but overall I swear by it.
Refer to this regularly as my schedule changes from day to day.
I would like to see the departure track information included on a consistent basis. Subway delays often leave little time to check the track location.
Appreciate this information.
Used to be excellent 1/5
It used to be a perfect app but now it never shows delays or they are incorrect
Useless when you need it 2/5
It's fine with regular schedules but on July 4, 2017 it showed the regular Tuesday schedule. Really lame and not dependable. On regular days it's handy and shows delays and countdown clock. But when you need it most, when the regular schedule changes, it totally fails. Really, why bother. Please fix this app. And if it's Metro North's feed, that's no excuse, the app shouldn't exist if it can't be accurate.
Needs track info 2/5
The track # really determines how much time I need to catch the train. Having access to that info 15 min before the train departs would be helpful
Best MNR App 5/5
I have used this app for the past 4 years for my commute. It is the best app for commuting on Metro North. Better than the official Metro North app. Highly recommend.
Good when it's working 2/5
By Weekend swimmer
Helpful but many times, track numbers don't show up or show up too late (too close to departure time) to be helpful. And the app does not have the new schedule! I'm taking away another star from my previous review.
Great app but.... 4/5
By Puttin' on the foil
MNR updated schedules recently but app doesn't pick up new schedule. Without the correct schedule app has no value and can't be OnTime.
Mobileware has introduced a new single version for multiple train agencies and the individual ones should be removed as they are no longer supported.
Fine app BUT 3/5
The app is fine and does what you want it to do. However it'd be helpful to include track locations. Also it NEEDS to update with holiday times. If it's a holiday the app will not show the correct train times which is really bad oversight.
Much Better RE iPad Version 5/5
This version of the App is SO MUCH BETTER than the version I reviewed last year. While it still has advertisements, they're at the bottom and not blocking the screen as some App developers are starting to do in order to force people to purchase an App. I just hit DELETE when it gets to that. I don't mind paying a FAIR PRICE for an App if it's worth it, but not when I'm forced into it. In any case, to get back to the review for this App, it's up-to-date with updates on any train problems and, so far, the times have always been correct no matter what line I have taken. Thank you, App Developers.
One Star Review from June 24, 2016:
Latest Update Wrecked App and Now with Advertisements. - Update turned a great App into junk. Slow, crashes and NOW with Ads. You also cannot access App Support from the App Store. Goes to a webpage that says, "Forbidden." Can see where this is going. Trash!
Missing info 1/5
This app apparently doesn't know about express trains to yankee stadium.
Not bad. 4/5
Hey it's free. What's not to like!!
Does not work like it's supposed to 1/5
Rarely if ever does it show accurate eI delays
Best train app. Love it.
Helps me out when I'm in the city and haven't a dang clue when the next train is. Saved my hide more times than I can count
Best item I have on my iPhone! 5/5
I use it all the time. And I've recommended it to many. It's great!
This App is amazing!!! 5/5
Ontime is extremely accurate!
To within a few seconds!
It does what it's intended to do 4/5
I would recommend this app. It's reliable on train schedules. Gave it 4 stars instead of five because it doesn't give track information as quick as you would expect. Not a deal breaker.
Mediocre app 3/5
By RNSP runners
When the app is fully functioning, it is great, but that is rare. I've had to remove and reinstall the app to get the track location for the trains. Usually it just shows me the few train times around the time I'm looking to catch and no track number. That's probably the most important piece as you are running to catch the train.
By troys girl
Perfect on time MTA app never any issues.... always highly recommend.
Terrific App 5/5
Easy to use and accurate!
By Generalized Linear Model
Well laid out, good features, simple. I like that it does one thing only.
Not accurate 2/5
It doesn't give you trips that allow you to transfer.
Me gusta un poco 4/5
By Danisha Ariana
Es perfecto para el tren
Extremely reliable! Wonderful for new comers to themetronorth.
Great App! 5/5
onTime is a great app that I just discovered. I will no longer need to use Metro North's paper or online schedules. This app gives me the schedules, delays or other notices and is all I need. Can't wait to try it for the LIRR and other systems!
YOU SHOULD'VE LEFT IT THE WAY IT WAS, NOW IT DOESN'T EVEN WORK 1/5
THIS IS THE NEWEST VERSION YET IT WONT EVEN UPDATE. IT DOESN'T EVEN ALLOW YOU YO DELETE THE FREAKING APP OFF YOUR PHONE.. GET IT TOGETHER PEOPLE... very disappointed...
By Satchmo's Mom
Love it! Invaluable. Always with me, better than fumbling with paper schedules.
Delivers as promised 5/5
Does basic functions well day in and day out. Wish it would update on train delays a little sooner but that is a problem across all MNR communications so I assume a broader systems issue.
So handy 5/5
So easy to use. Love the way you can reverse the direction of trip with one touch. Updates showing delays and other changes make this a real keeper!
This has worked well and I've found the info to always be accurate.
