It's not worth it 3/5
If you're a paying customer with the entry level plan, the apps are scrambled and disorganized every time the device becomes available. Folders disappear and the apps are placed on the desktop. This is a bug that they solved, but they decided to try to sell this as a "feature" of their premium package. This is not a feature, it's the bare minimum you expect from an app you're subscribed to and paying a monthly fee for, not to mess with the apps order and how you arranged them. Shame on you, this speaks loudly about this company's philosophy and approach, they just want to milk you as much as possible. I will not pay them more, I am ending my suscription and moving to Norton, which is more expensive but much better and are not trying to extort more from me by putting a pay wall around basic functionality.
The basic features of this app are good. I have 3 main complaints:
1) The app is cumbersome to install. Especially if you are also using our pact jr. I'm technically pretty on it, and for 2 kids it took me 2+ hours to work out the kinks.
2) It is buggy. The pause / play screen in our pact jr. frequently lags, and has frozen up completely two times in as many months requiring a full re-install.
3) The app requires your child to 'pause' or 'play' the app when using the time allowance feature, rather than logging time automatically. This is clunky.
Me encanta. I love it. 5/5
Great app for control time of used device.
Counterproductive and instigative 1/5
I’m 15 and I just want to start off by saying I think this app is utterly useless. If I could give it 0 stars I would. The whole sold idea in all the commercials that parents completely taking all freedom and communication from teen’s phones will magically and instantly make teenagers want to hang out with their parents is bs. Yes, some control over devices is good, especially for younger, still developing children, but taking away every app including Siri and Camera is ridiculous!! That only gives teenagers more reasons to resent their parents and try to ignore them as much as possible. I know if my mother ever did this I would resent her. All in all, if you respect your children at all, don’t waste your time or money on this app. It will only do the opposite of what you originally wanted and drive a wedge between you and your children.
Ridiculous amount of steps to install 1/5
I had the free version and it was very easy to download the device management software to get going. I had 2 devices set up in less than 1o minutes. Now my children have new devices. The amount of steps to download the premium software is ridiculous. I immediately cancelled my subscription when I saw the amount of time it was going to take. Why take something that was easy and make it harder?
Good Concept, Bad Aftermath 4/5
Once the blocker or schedule is turned off, all the apps are displaced and out of their folders.
This app is amazing full control over my daughters phone with availability to block , grant access and shut it down on a schedule, or until I decide , or for a period of time . Can do it from anywhere I am even if she is somewhere else . It shuts everything down with my input of what I want her to have or not have except the ability to make or receive phone calls which is great . So if she is not allowed to have her phone because of some punishment I can shut everything down and she can still have it as a phone to call me or for me to call her so I don’t need to totally take possession of it . So much more than I haven’t mentioned too . A must for any parent who wants control over the internet, social media , texting or anything else .
Premium doesn’t work! 1/5
I’ve been attempting to get premium features to work to no avail. I’ve contacted support and have tried ALL their suggestions. I’ve spent hours backing up, restoring, uninstalling, reinstalling...you get the point. I give up. Cool idea if you can get it to work.
Doesn’t work well with new iPad Pro. 3/5
The app rearranged my son’s apps each time and put them back in a weird order. Some apps were layered and we needed to turn the iPad off and on to restart. Also the apps requires that you re-do the notifications each time access is granted again. This is super frustrating to him and not worth it, we need to find another way to regulate the screen time.
Complicated Installation 1/5
While the agents working for this app are really nice, I’ve tried on two different occasions to use premium features. It’s too time consuming to try to work with IT via one email per day, to get this installed. If there was a real time chat that might be better. But it shouldn’t be this hard to use something that I am using my hard earned money to pay for. It’s not worth it, Thankyou anyways but I will find a different app.
Stay Away 1/5
I was warned not to use this app because they have no phone support. I thought that because reviews were good, I would ignore advice and download anyway. Wow! I was wrong. The frustrations of downloading and using the premium service were nothing short of hair pulling crazy. The email support was slow in response and they kept telling me the same thing in a cookie cutter message, over and over. Plus they told me they were too small to offer phone or chat support. There are so many other similar apps out there that offer phone support. Stay away from this one.
Great idea - Bad Execution 3/5
By UT Johnson
This is a great idea, however this product is too slow. It takes hours to load onto one device. Then every night that is shuts it down, it rearranges all the apps.
Great except...... 4/5
By Jon Gage
Excellent app. Allows full control of apps and schedule of kids iPads. Except it does not allow you to dis allow access to the settings. So when the iPads are “disabled” they can still mess with the settings. There for now I have three iPads in recovery mode because of lost passwords.
Why I Hate This App 1/5
By Marie Reynes
Ok so i’m like a 13 year old girl who's writing this right? The reason why i hate this app is because it takes away all of the important things i need to use when i'm in school and i hate that. I asked my parents to unblock me but they say NO. You people need to know that kids need their own privacy and parents cant keep unblocking them and blocking them cause its invading their privacy. For other children's parents who don't have this app you kids are lucky that your parents can't control your phone.
Too expensive 1/5
$7 a month? That's $84 over a year and $840 over 10 years! $800 for an app? Seriously? Netflix is just $10 a month. And you get to watch shows that you will need multiple lifetimes to finish. Are parents really this desperate?
Also what's with throwing apps all over the places and making folders disappear?
From the POV of a child 2/5
By Ricardo the flab jabber
Why do you block camera? Why do you block Siri? Also, I saw a review that said it was less about control and more of an agreement between the parent and the child. My parents do not operate like that. They took my phone for a month and when I got it back they had installed OurPact. They leave it blocked all day, every day (except for school, so I can use google classroom and such, but the second I get back home, blocked again). I do not understand why you have to make us pay to select certain apps to block, because I know that if my parents could, they’d let me keep camera, Siri, google classroom, WhatsApp, and apps like that all the time. But since they don’t pay for apps, I’m stuck with “all or nothing” and it’s gets very frustrating than my phone can’t function like a normal phone for 90% of a day. This app has good intentions but you have to pay for all the good features, which makes it seem like that’s how you planned it.
Early Our Pact user here 1/5
By bummer user experience
We’ve used Our Pact since the early days when it was a free app. Since we’re considered “early adopters” we still continue to use the service free of charge. Now it doesn’t work. I started out with one schedule for my daughter on her iPad that allowed one hour per day after school. Without our doing the app would randomly allow unlimited access. I worked with customer service who was anxious to make it work but none of their suggestions worked. I deleted the schedule to allow access manually. Now I block access “until I say so” to simplify and sure enough it switches to unlimited access after a couple hours without my doing. iPad rarely leaves the house and only functions on WiFi (no data plan) so that’s not the issue. I want this to work but sadly I think we need to find another app for this purpose. Begs the question if I paid for the app would it work properly?
Would unlock 2/5
By E.J McBeth
We started to use Our Pact and both of our kid’s tablets. It works on my son’s tablet just fine. However, it would not unlock and grant access back on my daughter’s no matter what we tried. So we had to remove it.
I LOVE THIS APP 5/5
I have been using and promoting your app since finding it about 3 yrs ago. Obviously, my son isn’t a big fan but he understands the reason and why. Even now that he is in boarding school overseas I have full access and can keep his usage safe. Thank you.
2 ISSUES that would be great to fix.
1. About a year ago my son learned he could turn OurPact off by accessing Profiles and Device Management on an iPhone however the Oupact notifies immediately and he was warned but would be nice to see if that can be linked to the restricted area on iPhones that they can’t access if put on.
2. His phone once blocked the apps come back jumbled up where as before the prestige would bring the phone back with apps where you had them. Pls fix that is annoying.
All in all keep up the excellent work. I will keep advertising how great this app is.
The app locked my son’s phone and I am unable to regrant access 1/5
The app locked my son’s phone and I am unable to re grant him access
The app on my phone says his phone is no longer managed and I am unable to regrant him access
Backup your phones before use!!!! 4/5
The app works as advertised but it will mess up your apps and organization if your not careful!! The free version is ok.
But I repeat!! Backup your phones BEFORE initial use so you can revert back if necessary.
I need this app but !!!! 1/5

I’m from qatar and I like this app but why it’s not supported arabic language?????
Great app!! 5/5
This app is amazing, ever since my daughter got an iPhone, we have been using this app, and it’s always worked for us! Thank you for creating such a great app!!!!!☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️😋😋
97% Perfect 5/5
I read the reviews and I was convinced this was the best option to regulate the screen time for our 13, 12 & 8 year olds. I immediately purchased the Premium version. Thank you to those who wrote reputable reviews!
That being said, if the app had the capability to block specific websites, monitor all texts, and set “app rules” specific to each “schedule” it would be 100%. I know that apps are always improving and evolving so that is why I went ahead and gave it 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Nonetheless, I am very pleased with the functionality and the price. Great Job Our Pact Team!!!🏆

Revised review: 2/5
I LOVED this app. I was able to block my daughter when I was ready to block her, on my time. Usually at bedtime. She doesn’t use her phone until she gets in bed, she then reads and plays with her phone a bit. When it’s time to be “done” I block her.
Well, that was working perfectly until this app popped up with a “you’ve used all your blocks for the month, upgrade” 😩 So, I’m deleting this app. And getting something else. Sorry OurPact, you lost me.
Lots of problems since started 1/5
I love the idea of the app but we have had nothing but problems. Every time my son tries to pause, it scrolls and does not pause. We have to turn off the iPad. Multiple times, he has paused it and it keeps running. Have let the developer know and they say they are working on it. It is really frustrating. Please fix or we will be canceling.
Almost what I need. 3/5
It’s a good app but not exactly what I need. It has most of the control features I want but none of the monitoring features I am looking for. The app scramble after the blocking is a sore spot too. Makes it seem more invasive and punishment like. The organization function of the Jr app is unrefined and a little difficult. It would be a 4 star app if they found a better way to keep apps from scrambling and a 5 star app if they added monitoring features. Not sure the subscription is worth it. I’m going to give it a month and see how it goes. I’ll update my review then.
App Has glitches 3/5
I may be a child but I don’t care who says I’m to young to write a review on an app for parents. When my parents block my phone, I don’t mind (most of the time). But any way the point is that when my parents reactive my phone, my apps are scattered A-Z order which I do not like. Please I beg the developer to fix this. To me it irritates me a lot. Also sometimes when I have like the 2 hrs a day thing it doesn’t work. It only blocks my phone. PLZ FIX
Loved it until.... 4/5
I adored this app. Recommended it to everyone I knew.....until my child figured out a way to disable it on his phone over and over again. At first, I thought it was the app so kept messing with it. He later confessed after I wasted so much time. I’m so bummed. 😫
Scramble kids icon unless you upgrade 1/5
Pretty mean to scramble kids icons every time you use it unless you purchase an ultimate sub. I am just trying it out to see if I want to but it but when company’s do things like this it really turns me off.
Can this be any harder to get started ??? 1/5
My kids have two new iPhone 8s and I tried installing this system on all our phones but it was so much back and forth stuff and I didn’t see anything where it said this is the PARENTS phone and this is the CHILDS phone... I think it had my daughter as the parent.... I really wish this was simpler because it looks like a great app to monitor my kids phone, so after trying to follow directions with pair, it finally told me I had no more room for a new device, I finally deleted everything off my kids and my wife and I’s phone. What a mess.
What a disappointment 1/5
My kids disabled it!!
Great app for families! 5/5
I love this app! The only thing I would change is... once the device is “granted access” again, all the apps are in different spots.
Apps on child phone leave their folders 4/5
Almost perfect.... drives my daughter crazy that her apps get all shuffled around out of her folders in the morning after her schedule or if I happen to lock her out of her phone. Also does not allow me to actually see her text messages or websites that she accessed.
Impressive.......at first 1/5
I started with the free version. Liked it and upgraded to Plus, thinking I had not upgraded, since I saw no difference, I upgraded to Premium.
When it worked, it was great, unfortunately the majority of time I was getting "granted pending......", "blocked pending.....". It was always pending, even when i had it in my hand and wifi and everything else was working just fine. Final stray was today, just got home at 3 pm , daughter is sitting next to me in the office on her iPad (she is only allowed from 6 - 7 pm). I asked if it was working and she said yes. Opened mine, status "blocked pending.....".
It was also overriding my "blocked" and giving her "granted", even when I had just "blocked" her 5 minutes before hand and closed my ipad and no one touched it. The she was with access again.
Good idea bad needs much work 3/5
We have been using this app (the premium paid subscription) for about 2 weeks now. The idea is great, but unfortunately I have encountered numerous issues. It’s not user friendly in the fact that it’s not clear how the schedule, block, and grant work. You have to really mess around with it to learn it. They could definitely make everything easier to understand. Also, the instructions on pairing to a desktop for the premium subscription were also off and not clear and could have easily been made clear. I did eventually figure it out on my own but thought to myself how easy it would have been to prevent my issue and clarify. Lastly, today the app on my child’s device decided not to respond at all, leaving her phone in an entirely blocked state with no access to her apps. I tried everything thinking I had somehow blocked her access (because again not the most clear and user friendly on this) but nothing worked. Her phone was useless all day. I finally emailed (I do get quick responses when I email for my like 5th time now) and I had to completely uninstall and repair her device which did work. The issue is if she wasn’t home with me we couldn’t have done that and I wouldn’t have even known there was an issue because I couldn’t reach her due to the phone being blocked. If the app is going to somehow make the phone unusable and my daughter unreachable, everything good about it is negated. I will give this app another week or 2 since I have paid for the month already but if this happens again, I will be looking for better options.
Use with my kids 4/5
While this works 90% of the time, my kids devices have become glitchy and lagging. Also 10% of the time the devices doesn’t not change status, just says “Pending”
Was pretty complex to set up - but it works beautifully 5/5
I have two kids and two iPhones to set up, and the process was a good bit more involved than I expected. For the “premium” level with all the controls (which frankly is the service level any responsible parent will want), you have to back each kid’s phone up to iTunes on your (parent) laptop, then erase and reinstall each one with a new OurPact-controlled OS. As luck would have it, both phones decided during the process that they also had to download and install a new OS update, so the process of setting up two kid phones, two parent laptops and two parent iPhones took almost 2 hours. But the step-by-step directions in the installation utility and on the website were extremely thorough and I got through it without any problems - just took a while. (I do have to wonder though about how a less tech-savvy parent might fare..?) With the installation now behind us, we really like the design and function of the app. It gives us a new level of peace of mind by allowing us to limit our kids’ screen time, and to have pinpoint control over their Instagram/Snapchat/texting/Facebook/social media/Safari use.
Please think of us kids 1/5
By this is a troll 👹
Us kids do not appreciate this app and letting are parents have even more control of us what if I need my phone for school or I need to call for help but I can't get to my phone so please think of the children and stop making apps that let parents control us more
By AMY MOMMA
THIS APP IS DUMB. IT IS DUMB DUMB. IT SHOULD BE TAKEN OFF THE APP STORE. DO NOT DOWNLOAD TO PARENTS OR KIDS. VERY DUMB DUMB. IT BLOCKS NOTES AND REMINDERS AND ALARM AND MADE ME LATE TO SCHOOL. MY FAMILY IS DISAPPOINTED!
OK Only 2/5
I have been through many paying apps trying to find the one that works best for our family. I have removed some becuase they were so glitchy, it was more work than help. Others because they did not do what we needed. I purchased the premium for $6.99/month for our Apple devices only. Annoyingly, this does not work well n android devices so I had to do another one for that. Here are my two big hang ups with this:
1. Not that easy to install. It was quite a process, and not at all easy...even for someone who has a tech clue.
2. You have ZERo idea where kids are spending time!!no History available at all. For 6.99, I think that stinks...all other apps have done this.
Install time: 4 hours!!! But worth it. 5/5
By Liquid Savvy
I almost threw my laptop through the stove during this installation. I literally spent 4 hours and had to do each device twice. It was worth every minute. Trust me. You will love it.
4.5 out of 5 stars. 4/5
I first want to start off saying this is by far the best app that we have tried and used and why it isn’t a 5 star in a bit in the cons section. It’s also the first big subscription that my wife and I have indulged in. This goes well beyond what Apple considers parental controls!
It stands up to what it says it does for both the free version as well as the subscription version. Set up for both versions are especially easy to set up on both the parental devices and the child devices. The app works great on both parental devices as I know when the wife blocks and allows as well as knowing what apps are allowed and blocked.
The new Jr app the kids love to keep there apps organized.
The different schedules that we can set up
The limit to amount of screen time
Unlimited devices (includes both phones and iPads!)
Ability to add pictures to the devices
Customer support is fast to responding to questions and concerns (us as customers aren’t just numbers, we don’t just give money and they run as I have seen other devs do!)
And several others that are listed in description
Cons: (hope these make future updates)
Having to set up each child schedule individually. (Would like the ability to make each schedule the same along with individually as it is now)
Having to block access individually (would like to blanket block, Grant, and schedule at the same time along with the ability to do individuals as it well)
When a child changes to a new device and add them back to a nickname that was already there, the jr app resorts back to the free version (the child can’t set up is organization with the third button on the upper right)
Child’s device after apps are granted back, every time an app is opened, it asks if they would like notifications ( not sure if it’s the new IOS or not but it would be nice on there end of the settings were also remembered)
By I am not a rapper
My parents started using this app on me and all it has done was start fights and big arguments within my family I don’t recommend this app
Great features but the monthly is a little steep if you want it all. 4/5
Is there a yearly option?
Dumped all apps out of directories 1/5
OurPact deleted all my folders and dumped all my apps on the main pages. Ugggggggghhhhhh. You get what you pay for.
Can’t get it to work at all beyond the basic 1/5
Premium won’t work and the app is worthless without premium.
Tried a dozen times to get this to work. There is conflicting install instructions too.
Ssssssooooo glad I went straight to the premium version! 14 year old refused to respect our phone boundaries. Now she has no choice!
It’s ok but... 2/5
By Mother of teenager
The app is ok but, when blocking the apps it does not do it immediately. I blocked the whole phone and my daughter was still watching movies etc. So checked it for myself and I was able to get on any app on her phone until I checked the OurPact Jr. then it blocked everything. Not ok with that at all. Please fix that or I may have to take my money elsewhere.
We like the idea 3/5
We like the idea of our pact. But to be paying it’s far to glitchy. We just had to remove the device management to be able to get by daughters phone to turn back on. This had happened before. No matter what schedule we set sometimes it just won’t turn back on. That’s a pain I shouldn’t have to delete delete device management and readd it. I think we’ll cancel our subscription.
